5-0 out of 5 stars Better than expected!
I ordered these binoculars for my husband's birthday. They arrived promptly and in excellent condition; well packed. We both were surprised by how powerful they are and easy to use, WOW! Very, very pleased. They are very light weight (nice for these old arthritic arms and hands). The only possible drawback is that they are not waterproof and need to be kept dry at all times, so DH will not be able to take them along on fishing trips unless he double zipper lock bags them. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Great Product
The Nikon Action was my first pair of binocular's. After researching for hours I purchase these and they worked great. You can use the 10X zoom to look for objects like bear, dear, birds, etc. and then zoom in with 22X zoom. The lens are pretty clear. Very satisfied.

These are no ordinary binoculars. They are a miracle. They exceeded my expectations and I am proud to own them now.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Value and Viewing
This is a great pair of binoculars.I bought it for a safari trip and enjoyed every minute of it.They are light on the face and very easy to focus.Once you've set the eye distance and the focus of the binoculars for your eyes, everytime you look through it, it will be perfect.
5-0 out of 5 stars PERFECT Travel/Wildlife Binoculars
I like mine so much that I'm buying another pair of Steiner Safari binoculars from Amazon as a gift. The pair I have are perfect for all around travel use. They're small enough to fit into a pocket while trekking to a good birding spot and are unobtrusive around the neck on safari. They're powerful enough to pull those wildlife sightings in close but don't force you to steady them on a tripod because of too much power. I've taken them on two African safaris, to Iguazu Falls in South America and most recently birding on the Mekong River in Laos. I found that an added bonus was the rubber coated shell, allowing them to get banged around without damage. Their small size also means less room in your carry-on luggage as well as being easily hidden when traversing shaky Third World city streets. Guides on my travels who've taken a look are always thoroughly impressed. For the money the Steiner Safari can't be beat! ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Good for a compact binocular
Overall it does what it is supposed to do.Compact size is a plus. The only complaint is the view gets dim when you zoom in a cloudy day.

3-0 out of 5 stars Good price for the features
I bought this product just before a trip to Alaska - price was right, light weight and has good magnification. During use I noticed the Eye placement is not very comfortable, most of the time you will have to hold it slightly away from your eye- I wish it had soft receptacles like the other larger binocular that I have. Resting it over the eye would have provided a better support.
4-0 out of 5 stars Good bang for your buck
I bought these binoculars about a month ago and have been using it since. This pair does all that it promises, if not much more. The unit has a solid feel and does not look cheapy. The images at 10x are crisp but when you go 30x they get a tad dull given the 25mm lenses (I wont blame Olympus for this one since it is not a fault, just a way to cut size and costs. 50mm is the way to go if you dont mind the size).

5-0 out of 5 stars Almost too large to take to the opera.
Though a little larger than is sometimes convenient, the quality of the image makes these binoculars worth carrying.
5-0 out of 5 stars The most detail you will see from a handheld 12x binocular.
I purchased the Canon 12x36 IS II's a year ago and they still work with the original batteries. At 23 oz they are not as heavy as my Canon 10x42L IS WP's and can hang from my neck much longer without feeling heavy. They have a sharp 60 AFOV and are the only 12x binoculars I would want to take for birding or any other outdoor use. They are not waterproof so when I want a waterproof IS binocular I just grab my 10x42L IS WP's. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Bushnell Compact Folding Binocular

5-0 out of 5 stars Wonderful
Amazing binocs for the price.... for 3x the price.... very light, very small, perfect for any events, even indoors since they are the smallest binocs I have ever seen, and I have seen dozens.... well worth the money... easy to focus wheel. Highly recommended. One of my few five-star product reviews.

3-0 out of 5 stars Not too impressed
While the zoom is great, the main problem is that a lot of light is required to see the image at x40 upto x80.Also, at these zoom levels, you really need a tripod as every little shake does affect the viewing very bad.So while it's great for sports when you are sitting in the nose bleed seats, it's not easy to get the tripod into the stadium.

4-0 out of 5 stars good binoculars
I purchased this binocular and knew before that when viewing something with small binoculars at very high mag you will get a dimmer image with some shaking if hand held. The unit is well put together and fun to use. Just at high mag you will have a better image in daylight. Highly recommended keeping the above in mind.

1-0 out of 5 stars Disappointing
Bought this binoculars hoping Carson had come with an inexpensive solution to provide high quality zoom in binoculars. I was completely dissapointed when I got My Z80. The image was fuzzy and when I used the zoom at its maximum, the image was impossible to focus and really dark. I returned the item to Amazon. Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars here is what i think
A caveat for kindred esthetes: my excitement in owning a silk tripod overshot my reading comprehension. This is a "slik tripod." As a previous reviewer noted this is not made clear on the product description. I must admit I couldn't even begin to fathom what a silk tripod would be like, nor whether it would prove sturdy enough to support this product, but it certainly appealed to my finer sensibilities.
5-0 out of 5 stars Outstanding product
Great quality of vision, comes complete with tripod, a padded carrying case that opens so that it does not have to be removed to use the scope and zoom lens.
5-0 out of 5 stars Brings the Maine islands alive!
I purchased this for my Dad for Father's Day, and he has not stopped raving about it.He can now look out his window in coastal Maine and read the names of sloops rounding islands far offshore. The price was so good, I hoped it wouldn't turn out to be cheaply made.Thankfully, the optics are powerful, and the housing is sturdily built for years of use.Note that a good tripod is included (not made clear on the product detail page).I'm VERY pleased with this purchase. ...
