Excellent.
What can i say ? When it comes to any type of MEDIA magentic/optical, TDK is the best. I still have some of their audio tapes that are more than 20 years old and they still work great. If its a TDK, i will close my eyes and buy it.

Average
TDK makes great tapes, but this tape really does not define them. There was no problem with them, but it is not impressive. It is no where near the BETTER TDK tapes and JVC tapes.

The Best Blank Tape Around
I am a collector of TV shows.I have 30+ tapes filled with TV shows that I recorded.I've recorded on several different brands, including Panasonic, Sony, and Maxell.The Panasonic tapes played back terribly.Sony gave me a little trouble but not much.Maxell gave me no trouble, but they're hard to find in my area.So TDK is my choice.It has never given me trouble, it is readily available, I can tape in EP with almost no quality loss.A note to other collectors and/or fans of TV, if you ever want to tape a TV program, TDK tapes will never let you down. ... All broken
The Mexican plant must have unhappy workers.2 paks of 8, and each tape is defective.Either the case is broken or there are loose parts rattling around inside.Now we'll see how Sony stands behind their warranty.Even if they send replacements I'll probably throw them away.It's not worth breaking a VCR on these cheap, worthless tapes.

good tape to use for beginners..
tapes are cheaply priced and the picture quality offered by them is even cheaper.
Sony VHS tapes are the best
This tape, along with other VHS tapes made by Sony, are excellent for recording, especially from digital sources like TiVo.The picture and sound quality is almost on par with a DVD.I didn't realize this until one day I bought the Sony T-160 and a T-120 tape made by another brand.After making two recordings from the same DVR source, I saw a big difference in quality between the two tapes, with the Sony being much better.I then decided to re-record the movie that I taped on the first T-120 tape with a Sony tape (also a T-120) and the quality is just as good as the T-160 that I used earlier.Since then, I only use Sony tapes for all my recordings. ... I'm appalled
This tape is terrible, at least on extra-long play into a standard TV set.I would have given it two stars because I *have* seen worse--just not recently--but since there is no way I'm buying this product again I decided one star was fair.If I have to raid an hour here, an hour there from my old tapes that's preferable to peering at this.

Does what it says but atrocious value proposition
The JVC DF300AU D-VHS tape does exactly what it proposes: given a properly set up D-VHS VCR, it makes perfect pixel by pixel copies of HDTV.I cannot see any difference between live and recorded high definition TV when I use these and a firewire connection with my HM-DH40000.You can also tape SVHS or VHS formats on this tape, and those formats come out quite nicely as well.

Excellent quality VHS Tapes
I've used several brands of VHS tapes but once I've started using TDK DSP tapes, these tapes provide the best quality I've found in this price range.Made the mistake of buying the TDK Revue tapes recently, and the DSP tapesare much better quality.

I was going on a two-week vacation, and so I needed an extra-long tape to record my favorite shows.My 8-hour tape was not going to cut it, so I decided to try this new digital tape.
