5-0 out of 5 stars Very nice unit
I have used several types of night vision, 3rd generation that is, but as many of us can see, 3rd generation aint cheap. I went with this particular n/v because of price, and a fellow Deputy friend of mine owns one, and said he liked his. I have only one complaint the weight, it's a little heavy, but well built. Turn on the I/R, and wham it's like turning on a spot light, nice unit, works well, and if your interested in a great little night vision unit, you can't go wrong, quality product great price. Hope this helped....

5-0 out of 5 stars Shake, rattle and roll
I bought my Nikon LaserCaddy after trying a friend's Bushnell Pinseeker on a Florida golf trip. The Bushnell impressed me, but it seemed expensive, and I figured Nikon probably knows a thing or two about optics, so how big a risk could it be? I didn't want the "illegal" slope correction feature anyway, and that made the LaserCaddy a decent bet.
5-0 out of 5 stars Nikon LaserCaddy 500G
Can't beat Nikon glass! Great optics. I've compared it to several Bushnell models and the Nikon is clearer. It give fast readings easily up to 300+ yds. There is slight magnification which is a nice feature. Easy to hold steady and best of all it's SMALL enough to fit in your pocket during play. It's a hassle trying carry around (with case/in/out of cart) the Bushnell 1500 during play. HIGHLY recommend!

3-0 out of 5 stars Nikon Laser Caddy 500G
I have found that you need a very steady hand (much better than mine)as any movement from the flagstick will get variable readings. Clutter behind the flagstick will also cause variations in the proper yardage. I have only used it a few times as it takes more time to use than its' value. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars night owl night vision
nice scope, feels hefty and appears to be well made. glass optics good light gathering abilities.large objective lense with nice metal screw on lense protector. Only drawback I found was the battery compartment was tiny and kind of hard to screw the battery cap on.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great bang for the buck.
I've only had this thing for 2 weeks but am quite impressed with it.the constuction, size and performace are what you would hope for at this price level.5-0 out of 5 stars Superb
This thing delivers exactly what it promises: it enables one to see in darkness! Within a city you will hardly find a spot dark enough to fully appreciate the scope, but in the country side at night this thing is incredible. The built-in infrared light source allows one to see in pitch black. The image is monochrome (greenish) and is distorted towards the edges, sort of like if you are looking through a bubble. Even so, the effective viewing angle is wide enough for comfortable viewing. Also, I was quite impressed with quality of the optics: if you adjust the eye-piece to your eye, the focus ring allows to get a very sharp image from just a few feet to infinity! I found a minor defect, however: The battery lid appeared to not provide a good contact to the battery, so I had to tweak the lid slightly for the power to come on. The construction of the body and the objective's assembly, however, seemed smooth and very sturdy. ... Read more

This spotting scope from Bushnell is an excellent buy if you are an outdoors person or if you like watching the world from your window.
3-0 out of 5 stars Product information incorrect - No Hard Side Carrying Case
I bought this spotting scope as a gift for my husband and one of his requirements was that it include a hard-side carrying case.Listed in the features section above it says "Hard-side and compact soft-side carrying cases included".5-0 out of 5 stars Magni-ficent
Proving that there's life in the old dog yet, Bushnell have come up with this, the successor to the out-dated, poor-performing Trophy Splashproof Spotting Scope, and I have to say, it's a fantastic improvement. As soon as I took it out of the box I was impressed with its styling, shape, colour, and of course, waterproofness. I set it up in my front room and spent a happy couple of hours watching my neighbours coming and going, and they were oblivious to my surveillance. It's not the most subtle 'scope out there but stick a blanket over your head and you're laughing. Any one who has been caught out in the rain will appreciate this little beauties moulded plastic housing, as water really does roll off it like, erm, water off a duck's back. Stunning. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Great Scope - Great Price by Comparison
I originally bought a Raven from Eagle Optics. But I returned it. Raven was $400.It had poor eye relief and poor image quality but very good scope construction (housing, cordura case etc).I went to Cabela's and tried the usual high-end suspects as well as Meopta, and Cabela's ED (Big Sky?).Thought I was going to have to resign myself to spend the big bucks 'someday'.But, I persisted and stopped by Ryder Hobby shop 'just to check it out'.Am glad I did.The Celestron Ultima 80 gave me the 'wow' factor I thought I was going to see in Raven and only saw in the highest end scopes.Well made, crisp images, you cannot beat it for the price. As good if not better than the Cabela's ($700) scope. I can recommend it.Bought it for $239.Also compared the C5 and other C90 scopes. Not nearly as good either.Would have been neat to check out the 80 ED, but they did not have it and it runs twice the price. I read all the same on-line reviews you probably have, and I can't figure out how this one did not figure much more prominently or how the Raven got such good reviews. Raven reminds me of my old Tasco binoc's.I'm very happy with the Celestron 80.Saw wood ducks, ring necks, Sand Hill Cranes all this evening approaching twilight with exceptional clarity.Even allows for T-ring mount for camera I read.Hope this helps. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Nice for the price!
This durable compact scope is equally at home viewing birds or planets. It has a tough rubberized exterior and a built-in lens cover. It also comes with a handy padded nylon case to hold the scope and accessories. This scope is really great for travelling and can be used with any 1/4-20 photographic tripod. With a T-adapter and T-ring (aka T-mount), the scope can be used as a manual 1200mm telephoto lens for your SLR camera. It can also take standard 1.25" telescope eyepieces and accessories as well as some other accessories made for SCT/Cassegrain telescopes.

4-0 out of 5 stars here is what i think
A caveat for kindred esthetes: my excitement in owning a silk tripod overshot my reading comprehension. This is a "slik tripod." As a previous reviewer noted this is not made clear on the product description. I must admit I couldn't even begin to fathom what a silk tripod would be like, nor whether it would prove sturdy enough to support this product, but it certainly appealed to my finer sensibilities.
5-0 out of 5 stars Outstanding product
Great quality of vision, comes complete with tripod, a padded carrying case that opens so that it does not have to be removed to use the scope and zoom lens.
5-0 out of 5 stars Brings the Maine islands alive!
I purchased this for my Dad for Father's Day, and he has not stopped raving about it.He can now look out his window in coastal Maine and read the names of sloops rounding islands far offshore. The price was so good, I hoped it wouldn't turn out to be cheaply made.Thankfully, the optics are powerful, and the housing is sturdily built for years of use.Note that a good tripod is included (not made clear on the product detail page).I'm VERY pleased with this purchase. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars wonderful
We had a bushnell that finally wore out after twenty years, and tech out paced it. I bought a pair of glasses from another vendor, and these. This is a superior set. Easy to adjust, powerful, in fact too powerful for our backyard feeders, we use the compact pair for the yard, and save this for the beach and bird walks. Bushnells are not super compact, but the compact 8 x40 model I bought is going on Ebay this week.

The NatureView 8 x 42 Roof Prism Binoculars are an incredibly good pair of binoculars.I searched around and compared the specifications of several Bushnell binos and I decided on these.I couldn't be happier with my choice. The field of view (330' @ 100 yrds)is perfect for birding, making it easy to follow a bird as it flies from perch to perch. The color optics are amazing, as I've never seen the plumage so clearly before. This binocular in particular is nicely streamlined on account of the roof prisms, not bulky like the NatureView Plus 8 x 42.I highly recommend purchasing these great binoculars. ...
