Great Buy for the money
This is a great buy if you are just wanting to have some fun, with no real investment.Although it does go beyond 17 feet, and that is not as far as you may think.But, I used it while snorkeling and the pictures turned out great, and i am sure a few were more than 17 feet.
Excellent for SCUBA
If you are reluctant to invest $$$ in a 'real' underwater camera, this will do fine as a temporary solution.

The quick snap camera was very good.My husband and I took it snorkeling and cave tubing.It was great for snorkeling because we went on a sunny day, but if the clouds passed over or we were in a shady spot under the water, it wasn't so great.About half of our pictures came out really nice.It was not so good on the cave tubing trip because we were in a cave and needed a flash.If you use it on a sunny day, you will love it.Otherwise, try to get one with a flash. ... I work at a professional photofinishing lab, and I can attest to the quality of the film inside this camera.The Kodak Water & Sport camera provides excellent results both in and out of the water.It performs comparably to the Kodak HQ Max Versatility camera; it produces a high-quality image in most situations.
Do Not Waste Your Money on this Camera!!!
I was extremely disappointed with this camera.It's a shame there is no option for zero stars, because it doesn't even deserve one.I bought two of them for a vacation to Belize because we were planning to do a lot of activities in and around the water, and we were hoping to capture those memories without risk to our digital camera.Now I really regret not putting a little more money into a waterproof case for our digital camera rather than wasting money on this camera and developing pictures that were only worthy of the garbage can.
grainy pictures, camera jammed
My husband and I bought two of these to take on a cruise for our snorkling outting. Due to weather, the snorkeling was canceled, but we did end up using the cameras.One we used for regular pictures, outdoor only, beacuse there's no flash, and it was okay, though the pictures were a bit grainy. The other I took on a camping trip with some high school kids and the camera jammed a few pictures into the roll, I could turn and turn the winder, and the film wouldn't advance, but it would let me take another picture. After fighting with it the entire weekend, I ended up getting about 10 pictures that could be made out, though these were grainy, too. ... Read more

Good Value, but beware of Processor Policies.
I work at a professional photo lab, and I can attest to the quality of the film inside this camera.It produces results comparable to the Kodak PowerFlash -- that is, it performs superbly for outdoor and bright indoor shots, but it will tend to give grainy images in low-light situations.
Not digital, Kodak should be ashamed
Despite the name, and the assertions of some sales people, this is not a digital camera. It is a one-time-use film camera with an inflated price that gives you a "free" Kodak Picture CD when you have the film processed. The problem with this plan is that many film processors either don't know, or conveniently seem to forget, about the free Picture CD and they charge you their normal price for it. You already paid for it in the price of the camera. It only costs $2 to $3 to get a Picture CD when your film is processed, so get an inexpensive disposable camera and avoid the hassle of convincing the film processor that they owe you a free CD. The "Maximum Versatility" film used in this camera does not produce particularly good pictures (then again, I guess no disposable camera produces outstanding pictures), it just gives tolerable pictures under a wide range of conditions.
Great when you don't have your usual camera
My digital camera broke while on vacation so we picked up one of these to use for the last two days. The quality of the prints was comparable to a fixed focus camera.Not great, but acceptable.And the same could be said for the digital pictures.I'm not sure what the resolution is, but I'd say about 1.3 megapixels.I wouldn't want to make big prints from them but they were fine for viewing on screen and emailing.

Good quality, but not enough exposures
The picture quality for these cameras is great. The biggest bummer is that it has so few exposures. When you go to get them developed, you have to pay as much as you would for a full 24 or 36 exposures. I would recommend buying a disposable camera with more exposures.

Great Purchase
I bought a few of these wedding packs for my brothers wedding and was more than pleased with the results. Unlike the other reviewer our pictures came out great, indoor and outdoor shots. We were able to pass these out to various people at the ceremony and reception and got a wide range of great pictures. The benefit is that you don't have to bug everyone to send you their pictures of the wedding. I just gathered the cameras up at the end and got them developed. Now I'm thinking I'll buy a few of these for future parties, great product.

its a fine product except for the fact that the flash needs to be turned on by flicking a switch, located on the front side of the camera body.Which means you are going to have a lot of underexposed interior shots, but nice outdoor shots..when the general public uses this camera for the first time.Learn from my mistake and buy kodak or whoever has an automatic flash that charges and sets itself when you hit the button to snap a picture. ... Excellent pictures, but not for everybody.
I work at a professional photofinishing lab, and I can attest to the quality of the film inside this camera.The Kodak Black & White OTUC performs comparably to the Kodak HQ Max Versatility camera; it produces a high-quality image in most situations.
Basic / no frills / good
Highly recommended for anyone who wants just a taste of black & white film. I purchased this item as a experiment into the realm of film after years of work with digital. The flavor of prints from film is distinctly different from that of digital, and I would encourage anyone who is very familiar with digital, but not film to purchase a disposable camera just to experiance the difference.

A pretty good camera if you don't want the expense of a much more expensive one...
I have used these cameras many times on vacation and the pictures really DID come out fairly well! Oh, sure, the quality of the pictures won't be 100% as good as the pictures you would get from a digital camera or a standard, more expensive and more professional 35 mm camera. The pictures may at times be slightly grainy but they provide excellent records and memories of my experiences.
Not Recommended...get the 400 speed Kodak Single Use
I've never had problems with these Kodak Single Use cameras in the past, but this one is awful. My pictures had terrible detail and were slightly blurry.Get the 400 speed single use cameras which are better for all situations. The other bad thing is that the flash,once charged will flash in any condition..even in the sun.

Even in today's digital world, there's still a niche
It's happened to everyone--you get to an event and realize that you've left that nice new digital camera on your kitchen table. Tough luck. But there's a place selling Kodak disposable cameras right around the corner. You wonder to yourself if it's worth it to pick one up.

Accurate color reproduction, but not very sharp with detail
Firstly let me just say, that I'm slightly confused as to all the different 35mm Fuji 'quicksnap' cameras out there. The 2 that I used were like the one shown here, but a slightly different color. Anyway, on to the review: Excellent Camera!
Recently I bought 2 One Time Use Cameras. The Kodak Max HQ Camera and a Fuji Quicksnap Flash Camera. After finishing both Camera's I had the Kodak Camera/Film Developed at a Kodak Express, then the Fuji Camera/Film developed at a Fuji Lab. The Results were very different to each other. The Fuji Quicksnap Flash is clearly the Superior Film/Camera. While the Kodak Prints came back slightly blurry with not much color, the Fuji Prints were Crystal Clear with exceptional Clarity and Bright Colors. The Fuji Camera was also cheaper than the Kodak HQ!

Overated and Overpriced
Unfortunately Kodak seem to spend a small fortune making their Disposable Camera's look Sleek and Trendy. However the Photos always turn out very Average despite being loaded with so called High Quality Kodak Max 400 Film. Don't buy this piece of junk!
We bought two of these for our first trip to NYC. The pictures were grainy, washed out and just plain awful. We bought the more expensive cameras thinking the pictures would be even better than the cheaper one time cameras. We were so wrong. I contacted Kodak's customer service and they said it was either the photographer or the developer. Then they generously mailed me a $2 off coupon to buy another. As if I will buy another one of their cameras!!I will never use another Kodak product after the treatment I received from their customer service. ... Read more
