5-0 out of 5 stars Love the size!
I loved the size of this camera when I received it...I just tossed it in my purse and it's ready whenever I catch my two-year-old doing something cute! The picture quality was fine for me.I am slightly disappointed that it takes lithium batteries, but not enough to go to 4 stars.

3-0 out of 5 stars Small Camera-average quality prints
This little camera has some nice features but really does not take any better pictures than my Fuji which was 1/2 the price.
4-0 out of 5 stars Fine camera for excellent price!
Fine 35 mm camera, simpicity of design; photos turned out beautiful.A camera which is very easy to use.

4-0 out of 5 stars Probably the best point-and-shoot film camera [4 1/2 Stars]
I got this camera two weeks ago as a gift. Almost exactly what I wanted: lightweight and small enough to fit my pocket. The plusses are:
3-0 out of 5 stars No major flaws, but not recommended.
The 90u is a decent camera. It is very light, but with that being said, it also feels very cheap. The buttons and controls also feel cheap. The camera does what it is supposed to do - just like what any other point and shoot camera would do. However, at this price, I feel there are cameras out there with higher build quality, lens quality, and feel. No major flaws, but not recommended.

1-0 out of 5 stars Don't buy this camera.
Bought this camera in August /September(for a gift). Didn't use it for a month and a half.Icouldn't get camera to work. Called Canon, wouldn't replace it, kept getting a flashing "H" Got no warranty, Canon said it was a "diaognostic malfunction"No satification at all.Very unhappy about this purchase ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Look Elsewhere...
You may want to consider another brand of point and shoot 35mm film camera. We purchased this camera a little over a year ago, suddenly last week it would no longer load film. Being just beyond the 1 year warranty, we contacted Canon Service for information on repair. We were instructed to send the camera to them for evaluation. We received a phone call from them indicating the camera could not be repaired as they didn't have the parts. They couldn't even offer a replacement of the same camera. What they did offer was the 150U model for $88 with only a 6 month warranty. Based on the reviews here, it sounds like the 150 is not altogether great either. Up until the time the camera quit functioning it took good photos and was easy to use.
5-0 out of 5 stars Great camera!Recommended
Highly recommended! If you want a great camera that is well built & affordable this is it. I have developed five rolls of film so far and this takes some of the best pictures I've ever seen.My wife has an APS film which doesn't even come close to a 35 mm camera.Great zoom also!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Camera!!
I've had this camera now for about 3 years and it still works like a charm and takes great pics w/o any redeye. The only problem I've had was once at a wedding I was taking pics all night and didn't realize I didn't have film until the end of the night. The camera just kept taking pics with flash and everything, so I had no idea. I wish it had something to let you know it needs film. I was very upset but that was mostly my fault. This is a great buy for the cheap price. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars A Pretty Good Buy
When buying this camera, I had huge expectations.I previously had a canon, however it was getting a bit old. When I purchase a camera I look for one that is stylish as well as good quality. Many of my friends recommended olympus' cameras to me and so after much research I finally bought the Stylus Select 105.When buying this camera, I expected a top of the line pocket-sized camera.I half-got what I was expecting. It takes wonderful outdoor pictures which are very vivid and clear. However, in dark rooms or at night the pictures can get a little grainy and not as bright as I would want them to be.In the beginning, I tried using the nighttime features as well as the red-eye, however, DO NOT use it unless you have a tripod with you.The manual recommends a tripod, but I decided not to listen and tried it anyway. My returned pictures were blurry and awful.I couldn't even put them in my photo album they were so bad.But I'm much more careful now and don't even bother using the nighttime or red eye features. They're not even worth using unless you carry a tripod with you everywhere you go.Maybe the stylus select 105 did not live up to my expectations, but I do have to admit that it is very sturdy. Also, the camera case givin in the kit is horrible.Don't expect it to provide any protection. The stylus select 105 probably wouldn't need the protection, but I prefer to have some kind of padding protecting my camera even if it has an all-metal body.

5-0 out of 5 stars an everithing-in-one cam!
This is such a good camera!!!!!!!!!!!!2-0 out of 5 stars Disappointing
I waited with much anticipation for this camera to be stocked after reading about it's new features in the press release in the fall.I purchased it as a gift for my wife for Christmas because our 6-year old Olympus Stylus Zoom 105 needed major repair. Our old camera took GREAT pictures - sharp, balanced exposures, great variable flash, etc.So, I had no problems buying another Olympus.Ilooked at the existing Olympus Zooms (115,140,170), but after comparing the pictures from my brother's Zoom 115 to our old Zoom 105, they still didn't seem as good.So I decided on the new Zoom 105.Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars A great camera
I received this camera as a gift about 5 years ago and use it for just about everything: family pictures, vacations, etc.The pictures come out clear, the camera is very easy to use and has nice features, such as zoom and auto-focus that make it a great all-around camera. The camera survived a lot of abuse from travel, etc. but did not survive a fall on a hardwood floor. But after many years of use, I can't complain. I would definitely recommend this camera!

4-0 out of 5 stars harumph!
this is a fine camera, but i have to admit that when i finished taking my photos and got them developed, i was dissapointed to see that they all came back upside down!I am happy with this camera but would like to see a model in the future perhaps that takes photos right side up. It's annoying.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great basic camera
Even though digital cameras are all the rage these days -- and I myself have three of them! -- sometimes you do want to use a film camera, especially when you can't carry an AC adapter with you, or don't want to shell out lots of money for extra batteries, to power your digital camera. Also, ISO/ASA 100 film or slower still gives you the best clarity outside of the negative and professional realms.Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Clunky, noisy but still okay
This camera is really a mixed bag. I hate absolutely everything about it: too noisy, zoom too slow, unimpressive viewfinder, etc. But even as bad as this camera is, I took some really amazing pictures with it. You know the saying: It is a poor workman who blames his tools...1-0 out of 5 stars Disappointed shutterbug
I enjoy taking lots of pictures, but I have had nothing but frustration after buying this camera.I kept thinking the batteries were dead, and the camera would freeze up and not perform any longer.I cannot tell you how many missed birthday, anniversary, and Christmas pictures since this camera came into my life. What a dog!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great, Easy to Use Camera, Great Quality pics
My first Canon is the origianl Sure Shot [...]. It has dual lens of 28/48. This camera took the best quality pics!!!!!! (this was going from a Minolta zoom). So I decided to try this tele for a longer distance [...]. Of course, great quality pics too!!! I also have a Pentax IQ zoom 160 (never ever had any pics turn out blurry till this camera)...still get better pics from my simple, tele Canons. Also have Canon Sure Shot zoom 105, again, still better quality pics then the Pentax, but not as good as the dual lens cameras.....
4-0 out of 5 stars Good Camera for low price
I was really excited when I got my Canon Sure Shot 80 in mail.I was eager to see its performance as I had heard that it was a little gem in performance.I was satisfied with the result that this camera costing [$$]provided. However, I would like to suggest to use the camera in Flash mode whenever you feel the light is not enough. It is an extremely good camera for its price and some of the pictures were like SLR quality.

5-0 out of 5 stars SLR Quality Photo's, Disposable Price
Yo, If you are thinking about buying this I would highly reccomend it. The dual-focus lens seems to bother some people, but it is actually this camera's strongest point. Being able to have a dual-focus lens, you are able to take advantage of the higher quality photos that will result. The red-eye doesn't seem to work as well as it should--(although, I don't really think that any camera can prevent red-eye). The "Auto" mode is the one that I always use, it is the easiest and most fool-proof. It also has a self timer, NO FLASH, and FLASH ON modes. It has spot-focusing which works exceptionally well. I really reccomend either using a local 1 hr. lab (a camera shop...not KMart or Target), or using one of the upscale mail-order labs. The photo quality blew me away. I was so amazed at the quality of the photos that resulted. It was almost better than photo quality of an SLR. Good Luck! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars It very cool
This is a very cool overall camera! The zoom is average, but the picture quality is AMAZING!!!I use the cheapest film around and my brother is a camera freak and my camera still takes better pictures than his!I have had it for 5 years and I LOVE IT!!!
3-0 out of 5 stars Sliding door failed after minimal usage, otherwise great
I really loved this camera, but the sliding "door" broke and wouldn't close after only a few months of minimal usage.I don't know if I got a lemon, or what. The camera was never dropped or otherwise abused. I had had another Olympus for years with the same design, that worked great--it's really easy to get quick shots when you can slide off the lens cover and turn on the camera all in one quick motion ; I will most likely try another one even after my bad experience with this one.I hope that they have solved this issue, if it was widespread--at least one other reviewer mentioned the same problem...

5-0 out of 5 stars perfect point and click camera
The size and design of this camera make it ideal for what it is designed for.It takes great pictures in light and dark (though it's better at outdoor pictures) and it fits easily into your pocket. It opens quickly with one hand; no fumbling around with a lens cap.It focuses quickly so you can take a shot from a closed position very quickly.Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Not a good camera
I received this camera from my husband as a gift right before our son was born. What a mistake this purchase was.It is large and bulky, but the worst thing is that the picture quality is very unpredictable. Some photos turn out ok, others are just awful. The zoom lens almost always takes fuzzy pictures. This is NOT operator error - I have had other cameras and never had problems like this.I also HATE that the camera pauses for a full second when you hit the shutter button before the photo actually takes. When you have small children, their smiles are unpredictable and I've missed too many great shots because this camera paused for too long.I'm going to get rid of this one and buy myself an Olympus Stylus. My advice is to stay away from this one.

I bought this camera for my teenage son.The pictures were crisp and the features very easy to use.On a recent vacation, my personal camera broke and I used my son's camera.I was very surprised that the pictures I took with it were as good or better than the ones I had taken with a more expensive camera.

3-0 out of 5 stars Could do better
Nikon's current version of One Touch 90 is relatively low cost but you get what you pay for.Takes great pictures, but the mechanics for the self-opening lens are hit or miss.I've bought two of this camera in four months and have had the lens mechanism fail AGAIN.Yet my One Touch 90 bought in the early 90s lasted 10 years. To avoid this problem, I'd pay the money for the upgraded model One Touch 180.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Quality
I've read many of the reviews written on this camera and must disagree. I've owned this project for about 1.5 years and have rarely had a problem with the quality of the photos.Whereas at least one review commented that the photos turned out "dark and greasy", I can honestly say that I've taken the photos and compared them to the item/animal being photographed and the color couldn't be any closer to reality. The only thing to remember is that if you're trying to take pictures of young children who don't sit still very long, you may want to turn off the red eye reduction (this applies for any brand of camera with red-eye reduction)

1-0 out of 5 stars Only lasted 3 months
I was hesitant to buy this camera because I had a previous model of the Nikon One Touch that only lasted a year. But the price was good, and it seemed to have the quickest response time (time between when I pressed the button and the picture actually took-- important for shooting an on-the-go toddler!)It took FANTASTIC pictures for 3 months, clear, great focus, easy to use. Then the lens started not opening up all the way, I would have to manually pull it open.didn't realize that at my daughter's bday party and got a roll of fuzzy pics back. Now I have a roll of film stuck inside of it from Halloween, it won't rewind, new batteries, everything.I won't be buying a Nikon anymore. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars fuzzy pictures
I have to say right up front this camera takes fuzzy pictures! we cannot figure out why! If we eliminate using the zoom that reduces the fuzzy pictures but we still get 2 or 3 in the roll. I recently took a picture of my daughter smiling for the first time and was so excited about gettting the film developed. Of course, there were 2 pictures fuzzy and one was the pic of my daughter smiling. I was mortified. I do not recommend this camera at all and am shopping for a new one. I did look up on the internet and not often but i did find another person with the same problem. I would have taken the camera back but it did not start this problem until 4 or 5 months into use!

5-0 out of 5 stars Good, Economical Camera
If you still want a film camera and don't want to break the bank, this camera is a perfect candidate. Probably the best feature of this Nikon camera that even Nikon's literature won't tell you is the design. No I'm not talking about the way it looks, but rather where things are located. For once a camera maker has located the flash in correct proximity to the lense! Compare this camera to the others when you are in the store (or even online for that matter). The flash is located farther away from the lense than on pretty much all the other makes and models I've looked at. Why is this important you ask? This is one of the few cameras I tried in my quest for a new camera that did not produce garish red-eye. I didn't even need to use the mostly gimmicky red-eye reducing feature to get good pictures. I maybe get one picture per roll that exibits noticeable red-eye... and my house has poor lighting to boot. If the flash on a camera is located far enough away from the lense you don't have the red-eye problem so prevalent in the increasingly tiny cameras you see nowadays. Kudos Nikon! You got it right! Watch... they'll discontinue this design next week or something. Also, the majority of pictures I took were very clear, exhibiting as much, and in some photos, more detail than some of the more expensive, feature laden cameras I tried. I tried Pentax, Olympus, and Canon's new U line. The only issue I have with this camera is the shutter speed (1/200th of a second). If your subject moves quickly, which kids often do... expect some blurred photos. But all the portrait-type shots I took, where the subject was still, were very clear and detailed. Photos taken between 4 to 8 feet were excellent. Photos taken further away or using the zoom extended to max are good, but I wouldn't say excellent, they do appear a little grainy and sometimes out of focus, but I noticed graininess when using the zoom on ALL the little point-n-shoots I tried. Also when using this camera, there is a little circle in the viewfinder used to lock the focus on the subject. This is very accurate, or shall I say touchy, because you need to place the circle EXACTLY on what you want to be in focus. If you place the circle on the subject's shirt, the shirt may be crystal clear, but the person's face a tad out of focus. This is a perfect camera for taking head-n-shoulder group or individual portrait shots. For the price you pay for this, it takes very capable pictures and you don't have to stress about red-eye, mainly because it is built right. I would give this camera 4 stars because of the slower shutter speed, but because it's one of the few cameras I've come across where the lense and flash are laid out correctly, combined with the value pricing, I give it 5 stars.

This camera is a great buy.The timer function is great for when you want everyone in the picture and there is no stranger around to take it.I have taken many family pictures this way.All pictures seem to turn out great despite our lack of photography knowledge.I liked ours so much, I bought one for my mom and she finally gave up her disposable camera addiction. The result is that she too gets great pictures. Some cameras have too many bells and whistles and some not enough...this one is just right. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Very good, but not perfect.
.4-0 out of 5 stars Point and Shoot Warrier
I was drawn to this camera because of the special macro setting with a minimum distance from objects at 1.1 feet.It is specified as having a "smallest field of 6 inches" - but at 1.1 feet, the smallest frame is about 17" wide.Out of focus close-up images happen about 40% of the time - either because I was closer than 1.1 feet or the autofocus may be inaccurate at that distance.2-0 out of 5 stars Repair Problem
I purchased the Freedom Zoom Explorer about a year and a half ago after my 6-year old Olympus Stylus Zoom bit the dust. I've really enjoyed the camera--it takes great pictures most of the time. There is a problem with the flash rebound--it takes several seconds for the flash to recharge which is not good when trying to capture continuous flash shots of your kid's squad in cheerleading competitions. You can take the pictures, but most of them will not have the flash activated.I am now camera shopping to replace the Explorer.I started to use it the other day, but when I took it out of the case (which was also in the video cam case), the LCD on the top of the camera was black and mottled. It still took pictures, but I have no idea what setting it was on or how many shots were left on the film. At least I was able to rewind the film. After taking it to a local camera shop, they determined that it could be sent off to the factory and repaired....They couldn't tell me what had happened or how it had happened, and I certainly don't have a clue since it's been safely stored since it was last used. This has been a good camera, but I was hoping to keep it longer than eighteen months.I don't think I'll be purchasing another. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Small and Lightweight
I've had this camera for a few years. My parents bought it for me because I wanted a nice no nonsense camera. It takes great pictures, and I've never had a problem with the camera.I'm a little surprised about all the complaints because I don't have one. I always get compliments on my photos, which I love. The only reason I can see someone complaining is if they are more of a photographer and want more options.Otherwise, this camera is teriffic.

5-0 out of 5 stars Oh so good
I've been taking pictures with a Canon Elan 7 and am convinced you cant find a better camera. The only problem with it is that its not the best camera to take with you everywhere, on week long backpacking trips, etc. Which is why point and shoots come in handy. The Pentax EZY-R was my choice 4 years ago, and until last week it was the toughest most remarkable little camera I'd ever seen. The image quality was among the highest P&S quality Ive ever seen. Over the 4 years I dropped it to the bottom of a lake, it fell out of a car, and survived taking pictures for 6 months in Tanzania, Africa. By the end the pictures taken in Africa were some of my best, even with the Elan 7 that I also had with me.If you're expecting a super zoom with all the fancy gadgets, put some money into it, and learn how to take a picture. For a 60 dollar camera you cant beat it. So when mine just broke, I found the exact same camera, (without date, because it is annoying when it resets the data on you) for 30 dollars. If it doesnt stand up to the first I'll let you know.Like anything else, you could get a fluke, but if you dont it could be the best valued camera you'll ever find.

2-0 out of 5 stars Ditto the Charleston, WV reviewer!
I had the same problems as the reviewer from Charleston. The date on the camera is always resetting itself to 1994--frequently when I'm mid-roll.VERY annoying, especially if you don't notice for a few pictures. The film advance and auto-rewind don't always work, either.More than once I've thought the film was done, and it made all the appropriate noises to sound like it was rewinding, and then POP!You open the case, and the film has not rewound.I've lost more than one roll of film this way.Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Review for Canon Sure Shot 115 w/Zoom
The Canon Sure Shot 115 w/Zoom is a great choice for the price! We took all our vacation picture with it right after getting the camera and were afraid of what we might get. We were pleasantly surprised. The features and zoom were easy to use and the quality of the pictures and lighting were excellent. We will use this camera for a long time to come.

5-0 out of 5 stars Perfect Camera for that Perfect Shot
This camera is great for people who perfer film over digital. I bought it for a photography class and liked it so much I use it everywhere. Its size is ideal for fitting into any pocket. It has exelent zoom. It winds your film automaticly when putting the film in, after taking each exposer and winds all the way back once you have taken the last picture. The flash and shutter can easily be ajusted. You are able to set it so the date and/or time will be printed on the negative. It includes a timer which can release the shutter 10 seconds after pushing the button. Great for vacations or any other occasion. Uses any kind of 35mm film. ... Read more
