Be Warned - Doesn't Work with Apple's DVI-to-VGA Adapter on Ice iBooks!
My complaint is not with the actual product performance, it's more to do with the marketing of this projector. I'm sure it's a capable machine.... I wouldn't know since it doesn't work with my Ice iBook 700 MHz G3. Nowhere - not on the Apple site (which sells this product) or the Epson site - does it say that the Epson 61P (or 81P for that matter) will not recognize the DVI-to-VGA adapter. Unfortunately, that's the only video output port there is on this ibook! It will work fine with the Powerbooks... just not with the DVI-only ibooks. The Epson technical support was very quick and competent, I must say. I just wish they'd mentioned that fact somewhere. Instead of saving money, I will now have to spend even more to buy a computer that is compatible with this machine. I've been assured it works fine with Windows machines. ... Read more

POOR Customer Service
We started with a PB8200.After less than 2 weeks, it died.BenQ immediately replaced it with an "upgraded" PB8250.(Apparently, they had MANY problems with the 8200 model).Well, something went wrong with the motor in our 8250 around Christmas time and it became very noisy.We sent it in to BenQ January 29.It has been in the shop for a month now!This is inexcusable, considering they advertise a warranty that guarantees a replacement within 48 hours if there are problems in the first year.(Thank goodness this projector is for home use, not running a business!)In a nutshell, we are disappointed that TWO BenQ projectors have failed us in less than a year AND we have received poor customer service.FYI - Picture quality was great when it was working. ... sweet design
This projector is gorgeous!...very much part of the apple design scheme, gloss white, simple interface, motorized lens cover and motorized auto tilt( it remembers last used setting and tilt and keystone corrects to the same setting)....it is quiet but in high mode (to get the advertised 1800 lumens) the fan kicks it up and is loud.for the money this is an excellent deal...at least this month...
