4-0 out of 5 stars Great Compact Binoculars at Affordable Price
These are great little binoculars that I use quite often. They are so compact and lightweight that I grab them whenever I leave the house - whether it be for a boat ride around the lake or just a quick ride.I don't see quite as well when I leave my eyeglasses on and it does take a little bit more adjusting to get the focus right with eyeglasses, but they are a great pair of binoculars for the price.I am very impressed with the quality of them.

2-0 out of 5 stars SO DISAPPOINTED IN THESE.
COULD NOT WAIT TO GET THESE FOR BIRD WATCHING IN MY YARD. READ ALL THE REVIEWS, THOUGHT THEY WOULD BE GRAND. TOO HARD TO FOCUS, THE BIRD IS GONE BY THAT TIME. SPORTING EVENTS, CONCERTS MAY BE OK. DISTANCE CHANGES WHEN WATCHING BIRDS. I DID FINALLY SEE A CARDINAL IN A TREE UP CLOSE. WISH I COULD FIND BINOCS THAT WORK FOR BIRD AND BUTTERFLY WATCHING IN THE YARD AND IN THE TREES, OR COULD FIQURE OUT HOW TO OPERATE THESE. THEY ARE GREAT ONCE I GET THEM FOCUSED THOUGH.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great for traveling

5-0 out of 5 stars Great value for the price, good performance
I had my 15x70's for over a year and I like them very much. They are ideal for a quick peek at the sky if you do not have much time to set up the telescope but still want to have a look at the heavens. I use them also as spotting binos for some deep sky objects, then I aim my large scope at the target. They are very nice to handle with the rubber finish. Good light gathering ability and good resolution. I think they are an amazing value at the advertised Amazon price, which includes shipping. It takes a little bit of practice holding them steady, but you get the hang of it rather quickly. I do not particularly like the tripod adapter, and found that they vibrate when mounted on the tripod. For everything else, they are great.

5-0 out of 5 stars Incredible Value!
I rated these a 5-star even though the first pair came out of the box with a slight collimation problem. (Double images when viewing a single star, for example) I initiated a return which Amazon was extremely prompt and shipped out a replacement set. In the two day interim, one of my "astro friends" said we could make a simple adjustment to collimate the first pair. He was right. We mounted the faulty binos on a tripod at dusk and quickly reset the collimation using the little set screws on each objective. It was really a very simple fix. I tried to stop the replacement shipment but Amazon was too quick. I returned the 2nd pair. Thanks Amazon!
4-0 out of 5 stars Very heavy
These are excellent binoculars.Very easy to use.Only negative is the weight.I knew when I bought them that they weighed 3#'s.Hard to keep still while using.Strongly recommend a tri-pod.Sorry I didn't shop more and pay a little extra for a smaller binocular. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent for the price and the capabilities
We live at the edge of a bay and do a fair amount of bird and boat watching. We've been using the binoculars for five months now and find them GREAT for that purpose. We use them constantly and the IS feature takes the annoying flutter away.We would like to get another pair for the car. Can't recommend them highly enough.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great!
These binoculars work great! The image stabilization works like a charm, and the optical quality is very sharp and clear. My only beefs are that 1) there are no lens caps for the rear lenses - this seems absurd to me, and 2) the IS button is very small and centered, so you have to hold the binocs a certain way with both hands in order to press the button.Seems that it should have had a much larger button or buttons on the sides.

5-0 out of 5 stars stable view makes binocs worth using
I go to an occasional football or other sports game, and would like to get closer to the action.Or I'd like to look at the stars, or at a bird in a tree, or to see what that stick is that is resting on my roof, or whatever. The image stabilizing thing is great. It's not a marketing hype, something that sounds nice but is so-so when using. The I/S feature really is great--it removes all the hand-holding shaking from the view, and keeps things really really focused on what you are looking at.You can get some drift, which means the thing you are looking at can gradually move out of the field of vision, cuz of your hands/arms are gradually moving away from it.But you can get it right back in.I think how this thing works is that when you click the I/S button (on top of the binocs, easy to find), there is a built-in feed back that takes part of the image and keeps it at the same spot no matter what slight movements you make--thus compensating for your shakes that no one can avoid, by slightly moving some of the prisms inside to keep the image the same, regardless of your small movements in holding the binocs. With the image kept at the same spot, your eyes can pick up more of it, see more detail (examples--moon, planets, stars)because your eye isn't chasing the image around as the binocs inevitably move around. It's not cheap to get this feature in the binocs, but these are my favorite for college football, seeing the stars, and so on.I also have their big brother, the 15x50, but those are heavier. When you press the stabilize button, you can feel a slight clunk in the unit (this is a good feature, cuz you can feel/hear it's turned on, sorta like feedback from a keyboard when you press a key, not a problem) and it does its magic. For a football game, take along extra batteries cuz you'll use the I/S button a lot, and you'll get mad if it runs out of power (due to prior use, etc.)--because you will have seen (no pun intended) how much you like the I/S feature!BTW, in a football game, you will get set on the quarterback or whoever else you are following, then click on the turn-on-I/S button, follow the play for 10 seconds, then let off the button saving the batteries. Then repeat half a minute or so later, etc.

3-0 out of 5 stars Decent optics but focuser is sloppy
Purchased the 16x50 version of these Bushnell binoculars (primarily for star gazing). While the optics seem fine (for the money) the rocker style focuser is easily jarred out of position, even simply by pressing the eyepieces to your eyes when gazing upward or by trying to adjust the diopter.
3-0 out of 5 stars Not great binoculars
I was expecting a better visual field for the binoculars. They are good but not great.

3-0 out of 5 stars Great but has some design flaws costing another $350 in repair
Right out of the box, these binoculars, no doubt are one of the best pair of optics I have ever purchased. The Image Stabilization feature is what makes the bincoluars so attractive...and expensive.
5-0 out of 5 stars great binoculars for looking up at night
As a novice astronomer I really enjoy the sharp, steady view with these binoculars. The view is fairly steady even with the I.S. off - depending how stable you are of course. My binoculars cost more than my telescope !! And my telescope is a decent one too. But I think they are worth it. You see so much more in the night sky than what the naked eye can see - by far. They are of course great during the day too. Their weight is not much of an issue for me, although each person is different depending on their viewing habits. I think a hard carry case would have been the best but it's not a big deal for my use. I recommend this pair of binoculars to anyone who is serious about great quality and performance.

5-0 out of 5 stars Holy gazookas!
I bought these for an upcoming alaskan cruise and boy and I glad I did. We had some other 10x25 binocs that I used for years and wanted an upgrade to something more substantial. These are amazing! They are so clear and the stabilization is the most impressing aspect of them. I have used them at least once a day since buying them for bird watching, astronomy (the moon looks amazing) and for watching a new housing development go in about 3 miles away. My parents are considering getting a pair for the cruise too, I plan to share but I don't think I'll want to be without these for long. Wonderful product that I plan to use for years to come. ... 2-0 out of 5 stars Overrated
The reviews must have been written by Cannon representatives. The stabilizer works on land. However, do not buy these if you expect to use them on a boat, that is not in dock, and expect significant stabilization.

5-0 out of 5 stars Just as I expected...
the earlier reviews for this item were dead-on - optics are great, the binoculars themselves are a little heavy, but not so much that they are cumbersome, and the lens caps are flimsy and more than a little disappointing.
5-0 out of 5 stars Outstanding.Amazing.Terrific.Any questions?
I've had these binocs (Canon 15x50 IS) for two weeks now and am regretting my purchase . . . . regretting that I didn't buy them years ago, that is!

4-0 out of 5 stars Simple, Light Weight and Always Ready
An excellent quality for the price pair of binoculars.Very light-weight, easy to adjust and perfect for baseball games.I was tired of lugging an old pair of 8X24 binocs to baseball games and these Nikons are exactly what I needed. They do not get 5 stars because the package only includes protective covers for the eyepieces and not the lens.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good for a compact binocular
Overall it does what it is supposed to do.Compact size is a plus. The only complaint is the view gets dim when you zoom in a cloudy day.

3-0 out of 5 stars Good price for the features
I bought this product just before a trip to Alaska - price was right, light weight and has good magnification. During use I noticed the Eye placement is not very comfortable, most of the time you will have to hold it slightly away from your eye- I wish it had soft receptacles like the other larger binocular that I have. Resting it over the eye would have provided a better support.
4-0 out of 5 stars Good bang for your buck
I bought these binoculars about a month ago and have been using it since. This pair does all that it promises, if not much more. The unit has a solid feel and does not look cheapy. The images at 10x are crisp but when you go 30x they get a tad dull given the 25mm lenses (I wont blame Olympus for this one since it is not a fault, just a way to cut size and costs. 50mm is the way to go if you dont mind the size).

Not only are these the best binoculars I've ever looked through, but the price here on Amazon beat anyone, including other internet sites....even eBay! Most site have them for between $850-$929. The quality is apparent from the second they hit your hands, but the real reward is looking through the lenses. A rule I always remember when buying....."You get what you pay for." It was a bonus saving hundreds on this one. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Product information incorrect - No Hard Side Carrying Case
I bought this spotting scope as a gift for my husband and one of his requirements was that it include a hard-side carrying case.Listed in the features section above it says "Hard-side and compact soft-side carrying cases included".5-0 out of 5 stars Magni-ficent
Proving that there's life in the old dog yet, Bushnell have come up with this, the successor to the out-dated, poor-performing Trophy Splashproof Spotting Scope, and I have to say, it's a fantastic improvement. As soon as I took it out of the box I was impressed with its styling, shape, colour, and of course, waterproofness. I set it up in my front room and spent a happy couple of hours watching my neighbours coming and going, and they were oblivious to my surveillance. It's not the most subtle 'scope out there but stick a blanket over your head and you're laughing. Any one who has been caught out in the rain will appreciate this little beauties moulded plastic housing, as water really does roll off it like, erm, water off a duck's back. Stunning. ... 3-0 out of 5 stars Not too impressed
While the zoom is great, the main problem is that a lot of light is required to see the image at x40 upto x80.Also, at these zoom levels, you really need a tripod as every little shake does affect the viewing very bad.So while it's great for sports when you are sitting in the nose bleed seats, it's not easy to get the tripod into the stadium.

4-0 out of 5 stars good binoculars
I purchased this binocular and knew before that when viewing something with small binoculars at very high mag you will get a dimmer image with some shaking if hand held. The unit is well put together and fun to use. Just at high mag you will have a better image in daylight. Highly recommended keeping the above in mind.

1-0 out of 5 stars Disappointing
Bought this binoculars hoping Carson had come with an inexpensive solution to provide high quality zoom in binoculars. I was completely dissapointed when I got My Z80. The image was fuzzy and when I used the zoom at its maximum, the image was impossible to focus and really dark. I returned the item to Amazon. Read more
