4-0 out of 5 stars great!
awesome!takes good pictures with super-sticky film. the one problem I had with it was that it is not that portable. I use it at college all the time. It is overall a pretty good product!!! just don't drop it!!!

3-0 out of 5 stars Camera is good and excellent for the money - but, don't drop
I loved the camera and I love it more now that I've purchased a Mustek which is going back.Just be careful - don't drop it!The batteries burn out very quickly and it would be great if it came with some kind of adapter.

5-0 out of 5 stars camera has been highly underrated
`for being a dual camera it does what it says it does the only catch is you MUST use duracell batteries or the unit will NOT work...alot of people do not know this and therefore think the camera is faulty...its not....it takes wonderful digital pictures...for being a one focus lense...... ... I love this camera since the first day I purchased it. It takes pictures that are breathtaking. I've done wedding pictures, which have came out better than the photographer who they hired!

4-0 out of 5 stars Love it
I moved to this camera from an APS autofocus camera... what a difference! Not only is the film processing much less expensive (the price never came down on processing) but the photos are stunning.I am excited about learning how to get even better photos with the right filters.

5-0 out of 5 stars Used it for 9 1/2 years!
I love my Elan II E.Unfortunately, I broke it in Italy this year.It lasted many thousands of shots over 9 1/2 years. The part which broke was the door clasp.Keep in mind, it lasted nearly a decade!I'm going to buy the Canon 7NE to replace it.Love the system!

5-0 out of 5 stars Quite Surprised!!!
I found this camera used in a store, and it looked like a pretty good deal, so I called my uncle (a camera brainiac, and a very good photographer) and he said it was a great deal, so I bought it. That's all I thought I was getting; a good deal on a used camera. It's so much more than that. I have actually done some really stupid things when taking pictures (setting the aperture and shutter speeds in such a way that the picture would be ruined is my most common offense) and the picture always comes out perfect. It's actually difficult to take a bad picture with this camera! The Elan II is a very nice camera that is simple enough for beginners, but at the same time, advanced enough for professionals. Taking good pictures is a snap, and most of the controls are self-explanitory and easy to understand. I have never had a problem with this wonderfully engineered camera, and I feel confident that, wether you're a regular pro, or a regular joe, you'll find this camera easy, and fun to use.

5-0 out of 5 stars Fantastic Camera
I've had this camera since 1997 and I love it. It has some cool features, you can be fully auto or fully manual. I have a 75-300mm USM zoom along with the 28-80mm USM that came with it. I kind of wish I'd have paid the extra [...] and gotten the IIe, but I still get great shots. It's not too heavy, focus is quick and quiet, exposure is pretty accurate. I haven't had any problems with it. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Price for a Great Camera
I got rid of my manual 35mm camera, and wanted a fully automatic 35mm, but didn't want to spend hundreds of dollars. This was the answer to my prayers. This camera is fully automatic, and has the features I wanted, such as Red-Eye Reduction, Date/Time stamp, remote control. It has a lot more features that I honestly have not used yet. I love taking pictures, so I am going to study up what those features are. The camera really comes through if you are in a dark place (like a reception), and you use 800 speed film. You can zoom across the room, and it's a great picture. Actually, this takes a beautiful picture in any setting (I typically use 400 film). I see they came out with 170 zoom, which I will buy in a couple of years. But for now, my Knoica's great! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Point and Shoot for the price
I bought this camera for my teenage son.The pictures were crisp and the features very easy to use.On a recent vacation, my personal camera broke and I used my son's camera.I was very surprised that the pictures I took with it were as good or better than the ones I had taken with a more expensive camera.

1-0 out of 5 stars Poor Camera
This camera definitely has some major problems with its film loading system.Like the other reviewers, I couldn't load the film in even after too many tries.A very disappointing product.

3-0 out of 5 stars How many times does it take to load the film?
I recieved the Samsung 70GL Power Zoom Ultra Compact Camera as a birthday present. It was given to me early so I could take pictures of my daily events during my vacation.I did have trouble loading the film.On several tries, I had to open the loading 'bay' and replace the film.Ibelive I might have exposed several frames on the roll just to get it totake. Is there some type of problems out there with this particularcamera? and if so, is there a fix for them? Please let me know I wouldlike to take full advantage of this product! ... 1-0 out of 5 stars EOS IXLite vs EOS IX
Bought a EOS IX lite originally - had lousy pictures - was going to give up on the APS system - but then saw on EBAY the EOS IX( not lite )and gave that a try - WOW! the difference is incredible. The pictures were sharp and clear -my advice is to NOT buy the EOS IX lite but rather find an old EOS IX -you will not be sorry.

4-0 out of 5 stars Dont listen to bargain bob
I'm not quite sure what Bargain Bob is talking about, but he describes thin unit (and a film scanner) as the poor mans digital camera. With the price of the camera plus the scanner, you could purchase a very nice didgtal camera, so don't fall into that trap.If you want film, buy a film camera, if you want digital, but a digital camera...don't just get a scanner. ... This camera has been the most awful I have ever owned.1-0 out of 5 stars Not such a Hot Shot!!
We have owned this camera since about a year ago.Really terrible pictures. We have put through about a dozen rolls of film on it, and although with time it has improved, the first images were really out of focus. It's like it needs to be broken in!Recently, the photos have been getting better, but it always produces pictures where the objects in the background are more in focus than the image in the centre of the photo that we orignally focussed on.I have taken many pictures in my life, but my old 110 camera did better than this!!! ... 3-0 out of 5 stars Could do better
Nikon's current version of One Touch 90 is relatively low cost but you get what you pay for.Takes great pictures, but the mechanics for the self-opening lens are hit or miss.I've bought two of this camera in four months and have had the lens mechanism fail AGAIN.Yet my One Touch 90 bought in the early 90s lasted 10 years. To avoid this problem, I'd pay the money for the upgraded model One Touch 180.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Quality
I've read many of the reviews written on this camera and must disagree. I've owned this project for about 1.5 years and have rarely had a problem with the quality of the photos.Whereas at least one review commented that the photos turned out "dark and greasy", I can honestly say that I've taken the photos and compared them to the item/animal being photographed and the color couldn't be any closer to reality. The only thing to remember is that if you're trying to take pictures of young children who don't sit still very long, you may want to turn off the red eye reduction (this applies for any brand of camera with red-eye reduction)

1-0 out of 5 stars Only lasted 3 months
I was hesitant to buy this camera because I had a previous model of the Nikon One Touch that only lasted a year. But the price was good, and it seemed to have the quickest response time (time between when I pressed the button and the picture actually took-- important for shooting an on-the-go toddler!)It took FANTASTIC pictures for 3 months, clear, great focus, easy to use. Then the lens started not opening up all the way, I would have to manually pull it open.didn't realize that at my daughter's bday party and got a roll of fuzzy pics back. Now I have a roll of film stuck inside of it from Halloween, it won't rewind, new batteries, everything.I won't be buying a Nikon anymore. ... Read more

We bought two of these for our first trip to NYC. The pictures were grainy, washed out and just plain awful. 5-0 out of 5 stars Had this camera for a year and love it
I researched several cameras and finally chose this one not just because they make great lenses but the lense mount. Theirs is metal while Cannon, Nikon, etc are all plastic. This is not only cheap but flimsy. It takes great pictures and no one else gives you better value than Sigma considering the two lenses and bag. The bottom line is it takes great pictures and has lots of features. I don't care that some have said it a good starter camera--its like a bike. Lance Armstrong would win on any reasonably good road bike. Period.

1-0 out of 5 stars Sigma
Buying this camera was a total mistake.I had it for 3 months and it started using batteries, $36.00 worth in two days.I returned it to Sigma on December 10th and kept calling them. They told me they were too busy to look at my camera and call back at the end of January.I called again and was told the manager would call me, he never called.I then sent an email and they never responded.I went out of town for the weekend and came home and my camera had been left on the porch for 4 days in the cold and rain.I have never seen such poor customer service. Not quite sure about the camera yet because I wasn't able to use it very long.

4-0 out of 5 stars A GREAT CAMERA FOR THE PRICE
I BOUGHT THIS CAMERA AT BEST BUY ABOUT 2 YEARS AGO AND I GAVE ABOUT 3 TIMES THE PRICE IT IS NOW.BUT I HAVE REALLY ENJOYED IT. EVERYTIME MY FAMILY NEEDS PICTURES TAKEN OF ANYTHING THEY WANT ME TO TAKE THEM OR TO BORROW MY CAMERA. BECAUSE THE PICTURES ARE SO CLEAR AND ALWAYS TURN OUT GOOD. THESE OTHER PEOPLE WHO HAVE HAD SO MUCH TROUBLE PROBABLY WOULD HAVE PROBLEMS WITH ANY CAMERA THEY USED. BUT YOU HAVE TO REMEMBER THERE ARE GOOD AND BAD ONES IN EVERYTHING YOU BUY. I HAVE TRULY ENJOYED MINE AND AM NOW BUYING ONE FOR MY MOTHER FOR CHRISTMAS TOO.

2-0 out of 5 stars Not reliable at all
I bought this camera with the confidence that a brand like Minolta inspires. It isn't of course one of the sofisticated and expensive Minoltas, but for my amateur purposes, it seemed pretty decent at firstsight. It proved to be a disapointment: the pictures are not very clear, especially the portrait type ones, though I was careful not to shoot themfrom too short a distance, the flesh is too slow. But the surprise waswhen, after only 27 days of using it,my camera's computer system stoppedfunctioning, without having previousely been subject to any shock. I wasstill lucky that my purchase receit was not expired, so I returned it tothe store. Now I'm looking for another camera, but it will definitely notbe a Minolta.

2-0 out of 5 stars Not what I expected

5-0 out of 5 stars Love It!
I've had this camera for about 4 years and absolutely love it. I've taken this camera all around the world and have gotten great results from it. It also takes wonderful black and white photos. Not only does this camera take great pictures, it's compact and so easy to use. I bought this camera as an alternative to a disposable camera but has become so much more. I always have it in my purse in case those kodak moments come up and glad it's so small and light that it allows me to do so.
3-0 out of 5 stars Quality comprimised by size
I've had this camera for two years and although it is compact and light - easy to carry around anywhere withought being a nuisance, I've had several problems with it.The picture quality isn't very good - my pictures oftentimes come out hazy (indoor and outdoor). Also, no matter which view I put the camera in - it also prints out in panoramic view.Quite annoying since I've never had a need for panoramic pictures. I probably would not buy this camera if had the choice now.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Investment!
I have owned a Vectis 2000 for about three years now and have absolutely no complaints! I have gotten numerous compliments on the camera's sleek shape and compact size. It is a very elegant looking piece of equipment that fits easily in my purse and is perfect even to just carry around in my hand.I have never had any problems with picture clarity, or messing up a roll at all.The camera is incredibly durable, I have taken it overseas, on many vacations and am still perfectly happy with it. If you are looking for a compact, easy to use, VERY good looking camera, then the Vectis is for you. Also check out the Vectis 3000 which has a larger zoom. ... Read more

Designed for advanced photographers yet easy enough to use for the budding amateur, the ZX-7 is fully equipped with amazing features. It's most impressive standard feature is the Auto Picture Mode, which automatically selects one of five picture modes: landscape, close-up, action, portrait, or standard program. The latter setting is based on your subjects' distance, lens focal length, and movement; the ZX-7 then tells you the camera's decision via the illuminated mode dial. 2-0 out of 5 stars don't buy if your on a budget
i bought this camera after i took a high school photo class, what a piece of junk, in the 2 years i've owned it it's been repaired 3x - once at my expense of $130.00. The only thing this camera had barely outlasted was it's warranty.if your not fanatical about record keeping it's very difficult to figure out who to call to send it back.each time it went in it was gone for about 2.5 monthes.i've owned a nikon N75 for about 6 monthes now, and i must say, i love it, hasn't failed me yet, i used to think nikon was just a name and history, but nikons reputation really means something.I'm writing this for you - i'll update this if i hit any problems with the nikon or if minolta redeems themselves.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent camera
I have one of these that I use on occasion.I shoot with a Digital SLR, but I do have to tell you that this camera really surprised me.The clarity of the pictures is astounding!I got mine with the 28-100mm zoom lens and I love it.I use it to take film shots of landscapes and portraits and compare them to the digital shots I get from my Nikon D-70.

5-0 out of 5 stars VERY light and feature-rich, perfect for advanced amateurs
This camera is really marvelous, pretty light to lug around and superb performance. The following features are the ones which makes it a great buy for the priceRead more

The image quality is really unacceptable...

1-0 out of 5 stars Serious problems with this camera
1. What you see in the viewfinder is not what comes out in the photo.Photos where I center the image in the viewfinder consistently come out left of center in the image.
