This adorable lightweight camera is perfect for people who want a unique look to their photos but don't have the money to invest in fancy camera bodies and wide-angle lenses. The fisheye camera is as easy to use as any point-and-click, and it's fixed-focus lens means no zooming, focusing, or other photographic buzz-killers. I read the comments (even the bad one) before I purchased this camera. I took a chance because for something that might be really cool, its only $40. And he was right, the viewfinder is useless, but they even tell you that in the manual. Also, you do have to get really close to the subject, and shots only come out good if there's LOTS of light (especially indoor). Anyway, my first set of prints came out just okay, with a few amazing shots. From that set of prints I learned how to maximize the potential of this camera. The key is to fill up the frame. I took a shot of my friend out in a parking lot. The foreground was just her and the background was the sky. It came out so cool because the entire frame had something in it. There were scattered clouds everywhere, if the sky had been clear it would have just been clear blue space. But because I filled up the frame with objects everywhere, there were things to be distorted with the fisheye. I took another shot of the courtyard of a tall apartment building. That came out great because there were so many vertical lines and the fisheye could bend them. This camera doesn't take great pictures by itself so don't expect it to. If you've got the talent, imagination, or just plain curiousity, it's a great way to spend $40. I love it! ... Read more

The fun of it is the most important part
I definately love this camera.It's incredibly fun and gratifying to get your pictures developed a minute after you take them, and this camera in all honesty isn't meant to be professional. If you want professional quality go buy an slr or a digital. This kind of camera should be purely considered for enjoyment. Yes it is heavy but not in a way that makes it uncomfortable--it's bulk makes it nostalgic. It has very basic camera features and is one of, if not the, easiet camera i've ever used--just shove the film in and go.The camera takes decent quality pictures and tends to put a slight sepia tint on them when taken inside, but i consider that a cool trademark effect.The features of this camera include a lens that can be slid over to take closer pictures, a sliding numberless aperture setting, built in flash, and a button that lets you control the use of your flash.The only drawback is the fact that you can't take pictures closer than 2 feet (like all polaroid cameras).The lens of the camera also makes ojects closer to the camera larger in proportion to ojects farther from the cameraon the prints but it's not incredibly noticable. Overall, I enjoy it very much and would whole-eartedly recommend it for anyone.

A Handy Cam
This is a nice camera for those quick instant photos you want of people.However the size of it is large and the photos aren't exactly TOP quality.It's nice to have for those quick shots to show right away.The actualpicture aren't something you put in a scrapbook or picture book, but Iwouldn't buy this camera for those reasons.These pictures are ment forthe refrigerator or a bulliten board to look at on your way out or forquick viewing.Thats why I like it because the pictures are nice to lookat, but they're not priceless pictures that you treasure. So in conclusion,I would highly recommend this camera for fun and quick purposes.

This camera feels like hold a huge sandwich. This thing almost slipped out of my hands when I was tired, but the bad thing was when the retailer swept the dust off the camera to show it to me. Great Buy for the money
This is a great buy if you are just wanting to have some fun, with no real investment.Although it does go beyond 17 feet, and that is not as far as you may think.But, I used it while snorkeling and the pictures turned out great, and i am sure a few were more than 17 feet.

Works as advertised
I recently purchased the Rebel T2 camera body only after my Canon EOS Rebel 2000 gave its "last gasp".I had been a Canon user since 1979 with an AE-1 (that I still have).

I got this after switching from a digital camera. The digital cameras didn't offer the depth I wanted and not having proofs was a big drawback.
More than good enough
After researching several cameras in this price range, I bought the Rebel T2 last month. It has met my expectations and perhaps then some. After recently trying out a friends camera in the 150.-ish range, I partially regret spending what I did. It all comes down to what you need, want, and how many bells and whistles you like. I love this camera
I love this camera.It is one of the only manual cameras still being manufactured.Digital-electronic monstrosities (which are unbelievably expensive) simply cannot produce images like a simple manual camera with a good 50mm lens.

Another great product from Canon
I had this camera for years before it was stolen and I replaced it with a digital Canon SLR.I am still amazed at the abuse I put my Rebel 2000 through.It has a nice light body, a great auto feature, and easy-enough to use manual functions.And because of the popularity (and rightly so) of digital these days, you can pick one up for a fantastic price, even brand spanking new.

Good combination of picture quality and reliability
When the APS system began, we purchased the Canon 370Zand it still works after several repairs.My wife is a principal and needed a small camera to fit in her purse and I needed a camera to fit in my pocket on trips.The Canon LT260 was purchased for $100 and has lasted in very heavy use for over four years without repairs.The quality of picture, strength of the flash, the 2X zoom and the ruggedness would be hard to match for the price.However, this great camera which has traveled the world and taken an average of 24-48 pictures a week finally died.Although my wife has an excellent digital camera, she wants another LT260!

Disappointing Picture Quality
I bought this camera last summer to replace an old Olympus APS camera that I'd had stolen. I went with this Canon APS because I had always been very happy with the APS picture quality, ease of picture taking and because I've liked the quality of Canon products in general in the past. This camera has been nothing but a disappointment. My pictures are grainy; the colors are washed out; the world through the shutter of this camera is drab, dull and blurry. I've tried everything from adjusting the film speed I'm using to switching who I use as a developer...The results are always the same when I get my prints back. Do not make the same mistake I did and waste your money on this camera.

JUNK!
I had been wanting this camera for a while, since my boss showed it to me online. The things I saw online made it look so cool. I'm a camera buff. Finally decided to order it, I even paid extra for next day shipping. I was excited to get home to try it out. As soon as I opened the package and picked it up, I realized how cheaply made it is. I loaded the film according to the directions, but the advance mechanism didn't work right. It would just tear the film at the little gripper hole things. I thought maybe it was my error or defective film or something. I went out and bought another 2 rolls of film to try. Same thing! The advance wheel feels so cheap and notchy. The design of the advance wheel is terrible also. It doesn't grip the film positively. I packaged the camera back up, and now am returning it. I guess I have to eat the extra shipping costs and cost of the film I bought to try it the second time. What a waste of money! Don't buy this!!! :( Look for a quality camera.

Not related to the performance of the camera - mine arrived missing the lid - and it looked like it had previously been opened - however I bought it "new" of amazon.I was nonetheless excited and it looked like nothing (minus the lid) was missing so I set it up and got to shooting.

If you already have a camera with a hot shoe attachment on it, then you should probably just go ahead and get the colorsplash flash attachment rather than this camera. The flash is like 30 dollars, while this camera is 70. you pay 40 dollars for a plastic camera body that may or may not work great (mine didnt). I love this camera
The world has gone digital and yet Olympus produced one of the best 35mm cameras out there just as film cameras were becoming obsolete. It'sa shame because this camera kicks [...], because it's simple to use, produces amazing shots and has a great zoom/lens, autofocus, battery life (beats any digital camera) and it feels great in my hand. I've taken many shots with it, including B&W shots, which are even greater than color shots. I've also taken tons of night shots, including auroras, which I never knew how to do before. This camera works especially well with Fuji film. I want to buy another one before they get rid of film cameras forever. Sad.

Great for point & shoot, but still lacking
The Olympus IS series cameras have always had an identity crisis.At first they were called "ZLRs" or "Zoom Lens Reflex."They have the internal making of an SLR (a mirror mechanism that shows you exactly what the lens is seeing), but lack the versatility of being able to change the lens.

Okay, first off, I'd like to say that this is my first AF SLR--I stepped up from my dinosaur of a camera, Canon AE-1 manual focus, and right now I am quite overwhelmed by all the features in this little thing.I'm still in the learning stages of all this technology but let me tell you this, I am having fun!It amazes me that Canon can offer quite an impressive camera for the price.
