Great Device - Highly Recommended
I almost didn't buy this camera based on all the negative reviews up here on Amazon, but I decided to give it shot and as it turned out I am extremely happy with this camera and would highly recommend it to any new parents.
Worked for 4 months!
This monitor worked pretty well for 4 months. We purchased this monitor and it worked well provided we were in the next room or on the same floor as the receiver. However, when we were downstairs (baby's room upstairs next to our's) the monitor was fuzzy, and had static and lines running thru. We were still able to have audio recpetion. After 4 months, the picture disappeared, audio was still operational. Not a good camera for long term.

Don't Waste your $$$$$$
Horrible system and because we purchased before baby was born and didn't use this system until she was in her own room (at 3 month mark) - we went over the 90 day warranty and basically tuff luck is what we got from customer service. ... Read more

Best Baby Monitor Ever
The Mobicam Ultra is by far the best baby monitor we've owned! We used to own a 2.4 ghz baby monitor that would interfere with our cordless phones and cut off our internet connection. Wanting to try something different, we came across the MobiCam Ultra. We were amazed by the clear sound and picture quality! It is also portable and very easy to use. With the night vision feature, we don't have to get up out of bed and stumble around in the dark to check on the baby. We rely on this monitor and would recommend it to everyone!

Not practical
I returned this monitor after 2 days.I could not get it to stop crackling (popping static sound) intermittently.Also, if you don't have the camera wall mounted, in order to use the night vision option, you have to lift the camera and move a button under the unit.This is not practical since you run the risk each time of not repositioning the camera correctly.Then you have to set the switch again in the AM.This just wasn't the product I expected for this price.

This product really needs to back to the design board.I am a new father and thought this would be an amazing addition to the collection of baby products that we invested in.however no, it is not.the IDEA of it is great, but in practical applications it is of little use.

Night Hawk Wireless Camera
I bought this Swann Night Hawk Wireless Camera with Night Vision yesterday because it advertised a 300' range. Boy was I disappointed. From the kitchen to the livingroom approx. 20' it would not work. It won't work through walls and has to be LOS (line of sight). But even in the same room it only had a range of about 16 feet. It's a fine LOOKING system but looks mean nothing when you want security. I'm taking it back today. Don't waste your money on this junk. I gave it a one star for looks only.

I bought this and donated it to a community theater group.We use it to monitor the orchestra conductor as a prompter for the actors on stage.
No range, poor image
I bought this hoping to go about 15 feet through only one wall and capture security images on my PC.The wireless range is within the same room only!Going through a single wall cause fuzzing out, and there was this line that constantly scanned from top to bottom.I tried various settings, then gave up and took it to another room.Yet the problem remains.Yes, it could have been my Wi-Fi router, but if the mere presence of a Wi-Fi system (either my own or a neighbor's) is going to cause interference, and ruin the image then forget it!

Ideal monitoring product
I bought this item as a housewarming gift for friends of mine. I was sketical with all the choices that are out there.When I received the system I gave it a try out.The first thing I noticed or heard was birds chipping in my back yard. I had placed the camera out in the patio. The picture was clear as was the sound.I bought an additional camera and set one up in by the front door and one near the back door.It worked perfectly. I realize my friends will probably have a monitored security system, but this product would be ideal for viewing when someone rings the doorbell, plus you can hook it up to a VCR when away from home. ... Worst Customer Support Ever!
If they let me give ZERO stars I would.I bought this unit 8 months ago and it worked for a total of about two days.I have returned it three times (at $20 shipping each time) and SVAT's customer service is less than useless.I will never buy another SVAT product.

UNRELIABLE, NOT CUSTOMER ORIENTED, DON'T BUY!
My rating is Zero stars but you have to put one to rate it.Great picture and audio, even in backyard but within 3 weeks antennae popped out just by flipping it up.Sent it back to SVAT, cost $25 to ship.Replaced with new one that lasted only 7 months.It completely malfunctioned/died, on/off switch didn't always work, channel buttons all lit up,no picture, etc.SVAT told Shoptronics to accept a return and provide refund.Cost to ship, $41.I was refunded only for the price of the monitor and not for the tax, shipping supplies, and international freight.Neither SVAT nor Shoptronics would reimburse me. Do not Waste your money
This thing doesn't work at all, It doesn't broadcast the signal 12 feet away with no walls. I think wireless internet and wireless phones are afecting the signal. Anyway do not waste your money like I did!!

nottoo bad
I used it to run a signal from my Directv to the garage for use on a small television about 50 feet away. It does a great job, a little bit of static every now and then. It was easier than running a cable and probably cost a lot less.

Did the job
I needed to feed two (2) TV sets from a camcorder which was taping a discourse. The TVs were located downstairs in 2 separate rooms while the camcorder was running upstairs in the main auditorium. The distance was definitely less than 100 ft. Initially, when we set this up to test, the picture on the TV screens was clear with no static. However, when the attendees for the discourse began to fill the building, the TVs started to flicker and static. Once everyone settled, the picture seemed to stabalize and the guests could see most of the discourse clearly on the TV.

Past performance not a guarantee of future results...
I owned the predecessor to this system, also from Lorex.I used it with a TiVo, to use my TiVo (series 1) on another TV.The remote IR extender was critical to our use.The old system wore out from heavy use.I needed to replace it.I figured buying the same brand was a no-brainer.
Great Idea Whose Time Hasn't Come
I really wanted this product to work for our RV lifetstyle.We have a satellite connection for the motorhome, and I wanted to set up this unit so we could also watch TV outdoors also.However, the static was so noisy and the picture flickered so much that this unit did not work satisfactorily.It also had the same problems in my home with a tv in another room.Unfortunately, I had to return the unit to Amazon.

high quality for low money
Samsung makes a great product in this 12" system,although the system does not display all four pictures at once, it can be set to different dwell times per camera.IT will manually go from camera to camera stopping to get acloser look when needed. The audio is an excellent asset.Many times it is the sound not the pict5ure that raws my attention to something amiss.This system has already kept me from being ripped off. I over heard a "door to door" salesman tell his buddy that if no one answered that they should steal my "expensive porch furniture" for their use, they were extremely surprised when they herd a voice coming from the camera behind them,telling them, that stealing from me would be a big mistake.They apologized profusely and begged me "not to call the cops" I told them all their conversation was recorded as was the video. They left with heads hung low worried to death. I never had to even open the door. the camera was placed in an out of the way spot covering the door and porch. they never new i wasn't recording them.
