5-0 out of 5 stars love
being an avid photographer with a love of altered photos, i was an instant fan of lomo cameras. the fisheye is the second one i have and i love it amazing!! plus mine is gold!

5-0 out of 5 stars Let's hear it for easy fun and creativity
This adorable lightweight camera is perfect for people who want a unique look to their photos but don't have the money to invest in fancy camera bodies and wide-angle lenses. The fisheye camera is as easy to use as any point-and-click, and it's fixed-focus lens means no zooming, focusing, or other photographic buzz-killers. What you see is what you get, wrapped into a gently bended shape with vignetted corners. The only consideration is that you must photograph well-lit subjects or shoot outside, as there is no aperature or shutter speed control-but it's a lot of fun!! Try to recreate all your favorite band photos from the '90s by shooting on high-speed black and white film.

5-0 out of 5 stars This Camera is all about YOU!
I read the comments (even the bad one) before I purchased this camera. I took a chance because for something that might be really cool, its only $40. And he was right, the viewfinder is useless, but they even tell you that in the manual. Also, you do have to get really close to the subject, and shots only come out good if there's LOTS of light (especially indoor). Anyway, my first set of prints came out just okay, with a few amazing shots. From that set of prints I learned how to maximize the potential of this camera. The key is to fill up the frame. I took a shot of my friend out in a parking lot. The foreground was just her and the background was the sky. It came out so cool because the entire frame had something in it. There were scattered clouds everywhere, if the sky had been clear it would have just been clear blue space. But because I filled up the frame with objects everywhere, there were things to be distorted with the fisheye. I took another shot of the courtyard of a tall apartment building. That came out great because there were so many vertical lines and the fisheye could bend them. This camera doesn't take great pictures by itself so don't expect it to. If you've got the talent, imagination, or just plain curiousity, it's a great way to spend $40. I love it! ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Expensive kit, fun camera
This is a great camera for those wanting to experiment with "artsy" shots, or even advanced photographers wanting to return to their roots. Nothing about these shots are adjustable - f-stop, exposure, ISO are always constant.

1-0 out of 5 stars JUNK!
I had been wanting this camera for a while, since my boss showed it to me online. The things I saw online made it look so cool. I'm a camera buff. Finally decided to order it, I even paid extra for next day shipping. I was excited to get home to try it out. As soon as I opened the package and picked it up, I realized how cheaply made it is. I loaded the film according to the directions, but the advance mechanism didn't work right. It would just tear the film at the little gripper hole things. I thought maybe it was my error or defective film or something. I went out and bought another 2 rolls of film to try. Same thing! The advance wheel feels so cheap and notchy. The design of the advance wheel is terrible also. It doesn't grip the film positively. I packaged the camera back up, and now am returning it. I guess I have to eat the extra shipping costs and cost of the film I bought to try it the second time. What a waste of money! Don't buy this!!! :( Look for a quality camera.

2-0 out of 5 stars take the colorsplash with a pinch of salt.
Not related to the performance of the camera - mine arrived missing the lid - and it looked like it had previously been opened - however I bought it "new" of amazon.I was nonetheless excited and it looked like nothing (minus the lid) was missing so I set it up and got to shooting.
1-0 out of 5 stars its a waste
If you already have a camera with a hot shoe attachment on it, then you should probably just go ahead and get the colorsplash flash attachment rather than this camera. The flash is like 30 dollars, while this camera is 70. you pay 40 dollars for a plastic camera body that may or may not work great (mine didnt). If you want the interesting photos that come with colorsplash cameras, just go ahead and get the flash. ... Read more

I loved the size of this camera when I received it...I just tossed it in my purse and it's ready whenever I catch my two-year-old doing something cute! The picture quality was fine for me.I am slightly disappointed that it takes lithium batteries, but not enough to go to 4 stars.

    9. Lomography Supersampler Camera (Blue)
    by Lomographic Cameras

    Asin: B00007I2KN
Average Customer Review: 4.0 out of 5 stars
    US | Canada | United Kingdom | Germany | France | Japan

    Editorial Review

The Lomographic SuperSampler blue camera is a truly original and exciting addition to the world of Lomography. Something of an improvement over the ActionSampler and CyberSampler 2.0, the SuperSampler uses a unique pull-cord film advance mechanism and incorporates four lenses in a panoramic format to capture four shots per frame, each just a fraction of a second apart. The end result is four long images stacked on top of each other that show the sequence of motion. This gives you something akin to panoramic "movie stills" that can even be scanned and animated into a mini four-frame movie on your computer. (Click on the "See more pictures" link at the top of this page to see sample photos that were taken with the SuperSampler.)Read more

    Features

    • Four lens 35mm camera that shoots 4 panoramic images per frame
    • Unique pull-cord film advance mechanism
    • Two speed settings, standard and high speed
    • No focus settings; use distance to judge
    • Best results occur under bright lighting conditions

5-0 out of 5 stars Crazy and Fun
I love the Supersampler.I definitely prefer its panoramic format and much sharper image rendition to the original four-lensed Actionsampler. It's really fun to play and experiment with.Be sure to try the extreme close-up effect!
5-0 out of 5 stars A unique, fun camera
No one should order this camera hoping that they will receive a professional quality item.It is simply made to be fun, and that is what it is.It is made of plastic, and it is fragile...so I will warn you.Nonetheless, it is, as I have said, tons of fun.Naturally, since it has no flash, you have to take the pictures with plenty of light. Also, every picture you get developed isnt going to be of professional quality, but that is part of the fun--you just dont know what you are going to get.

4-0 out of 5 stars get more action!
This little camera is a very simple and straightforward device of instant fun - it's fun to use, people are always asking you questions about it, it doesn't weigh much so you can take it anywhere and best of all: your pictures are always surprising!Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars I love you, Supersampler
I really enjoy this camera. It is cheaply made and I feel like I have to be very careful not to break it especially while advancing the film but it takes some great pictures. On a roll of 24 I had about 1/2 a roll of great photos. It's a lot of fun and experiment with. The packaging is very cool and it somes with a little book of photos taken with the camera that are really neat.

    3-0 out of 5 stars Fun while it lasted . . .
I bought this as a present for my room mate and he took some pictures and it was fun, but halfway through the first roll of film the string (which is the shutter release) broke.
4-0 out of 5 stars cheapo but neato
Just got my first roll back of Supersampler photos. The camera is extremely fragile and cheap in feel and in cost and is the antithesis of the Canon 300D I usually shoot with. But the results are just so different and cool, it's well worth the investment. The total lack of controls (even a viewfinder!) makes every picture a guess, and makes the results even more rewarding. I strongly recommend it if you want an inexpensive alternative to the precision you're used to. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars mine broke too :[
It broke after my 3rd roll.
1-0 out of 5 stars it broke
i had this camera for maybe about a month, and i only got to take one roll of film before it broke on me. the film advance lever is really cheaply made of plastic, so it had a hard time pulling the film across and then eventually it just broke on me. What a waste of 40 dollars! its a pretty interesting camera, but if it can't even survive pulling your film across the camera, whats the point of it.

4-0 out of 5 stars Really fun and different
I've had this camera for about 3 months and I think it's very unique and is definitely worth trying out. The only thing that I can think of that is a disadvantage is that it doesn't have a flash- you must take all pictures in sunlight or they don't turn out. It's really fun to take pictures of things like birds or cars on the highway because you get a completely different image in each of the eight images. I would recommend it for anyone into art. ... 1-0 out of 5 stars PIECE OF JUNK!
I bought this camera recently for a party I was throwing (after my other camera died and I was in a hurry to get something else) and it was an absolute piece of JUNK!The viewfinder was totally blurry so you couldn't even focus the camera to take a picture! We tried cleaning the lenses (even though that shouldn't have been necessary, because the camera was brand new; it came like that!) but nothing worked and I finally just returned it. Also, the stupid flash pops up and sticks way out which is not a good design.Stay away from this camera and go digital!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great little camera, packs quite a punch
I bought the Stylus 120 right before taking a month long trip to Europe over the summer, and I have yet to see a single thing wrong with it.It takes GREAT pictures, and it is quite resilient.I dropped it a couple of times,it was constantly banged around, and yet it always functioned faithfully. The only thing that I can complain about was completly my fault: the manual focus got knocked around when I wasn't paying attention, and so a couple of pictures were out of focus.I would HIGHLY recommend this camera to both amateurs (I never even read the directions, the camera is that simple) and pros alike.

4-0 out of 5 stars Best value in its class

5-0 out of 5 stars great little camera
I am absolutely NOT a photographer. The pix I took with this camera all came out excellent.

3-0 out of 5 stars great pictures, but unreliable
Because of the lens, pictures come out sharp and beautiful.I've even took slides.
5-0 out of 5 stars Simple camera that takes great pictures!
As others have noted, this is a non-zoom camera with an excellent, fast lens.I bought it a month ago in preparation for an upcoming trip to Italy. As someone who learned to use a Pentax ME Super 25 years ago, I bought it mainly for the fast lens and small size.I also like that it has a slightly wider angle than my zoom compact camera -- great for both travel pictures and indoor group pictures. So far I've taken two rolls of film, in part to test all the features of the camera, and all of the pictures are excellent.I may add to this review after my Italy trip.

4-0 out of 5 stars Probably the best point-and-shoot film camera [4 1/2 Stars]
I got this camera two weeks ago as a gift. Almost exactly what I wanted: lightweight and small enough to fit my pocket. The plusses are:
3-0 out of 5 stars No major flaws, but not recommended.
The 90u is a decent camera. It is very light, but with that being said, it also feels very cheap. The buttons and controls also feel cheap. The camera does what it is supposed to do - just like what any other point and shoot camera would do. However, at this price, I feel there are cameras out there with higher build quality, lens quality, and feel. No major flaws, but not recommended.

1-0 out of 5 stars Don't buy this camera.
Bought this camera in August /September(for a gift). Didn't use it for a month and a half.Icouldn't get camera to work. Called Canon, wouldn't replace it, kept getting a flashing "H" Got no warranty, Canon said it was a "diaognostic malfunction"No satification at all.Very unhappy about this purchase ... Read more

You may want to consider another brand of point and shoot 35mm film camera. We purchased this camera a little over a year ago, suddenly last week it would no longer load film. Being just beyond the 1 year warranty, we contacted Canon Service for information on repair. We were instructed to send the camera to them for evaluation. We received a phone call from them indicating the camera could not be repaired as they didn't have the parts. They couldn't even offer a replacement of the same camera. What they did offer was the 150U model for $88 with only a 6 month warranty. Based on the reviews here, it sounds like the 150 is not altogether great either. Up until the time the camera quit functioning it took good photos and was easy to use.
    5-0 out of 5 stars Great camera!Recommended
Highly recommended! If you want a great camera that is well built & affordable this is it. I have developed five rolls of film so far and this takes some of the best pictures I've ever seen.My wife has an APS film which doesn't even come close to a 35 mm camera.Great zoom also!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Camera!!
I've had this camera now for about 3 years and it still works like a charm and takes great pics w/o any redeye. The only problem I've had was once at a wedding I was taking pics all night and didn't realize I didn't have film until the end of the night. The camera just kept taking pics with flash and everything, so I had no idea. I wish it had something to let you know it needs film. I was very upset but that was mostly my fault. This is a great buy for the cheap price. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Great camera -- SLR quality photos
This is the Deluxe edition of the camera I am referring to in this review. This is a very good camera, at an affordable price, that takes excellent pictures. The reason I gave it 4 out of 5 stars is its inability to take good night pictures without using a tripod. My old Samsung had a night setting that took outstanding night pictures without a tripod. I wish I could get the same quality with this camera. Also, there isnt' a continuous shooting function or a Macro function (the specs say 2.6 ft is the closest with this camera, although, I've found out by experimenting you can get closer than that) that I had with my Samsung either. Those are the only flaws with this camera. I am still trying to master the settings, but most of my pictures come out SLR quality (primarily using ISO 800 film).

Outdo Andy Warhol and push the borders of pop art into new territory with the Pop 9 camera. Equipped with nine lenses arranged as a square, the Pop 9 produces photos with a grid of nine mini-photos produced from the corresponding lenses. Since each lens is a few millimeters apart and has a slightly different perspective, each photo provides a unique take on the same object.Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars A neat little camera!
I found this by accident, and if you are tired of taking perfect digital pictures this is a lot of fun.People will look at you funny when you take off the lens cap and they see all nine lenses.Sometimes my wife cuts the pictures apart for scrapbooking. It really works.

1-0 out of 5 stars this is a waste of money
taking nine images of the same exact thing on one negative really isnt that interesting. you could just use a regular camera and take a picture, and then go in your computer and duplicate it 9 times and arrange it as you wish. it's really not that hard, and you dont have to pay any money then. Also with your own camera you could make it more interesting and change some of the images to make a more interesting overall image.
    4-0 out of 5 stars A blast!
As a photo and scrapbook junkie, I'm always looking for something to make my collection "pop". This little gold treasure (dubbed my "bling" camera by my friends) is a complete hit! The colors are vibrant, the feel is vintage. I am completely in love with the prints. They have so much personality! I definitely plan on investing in more Lomo products. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars A great camera
I received this camera as a gift about 5 years ago and use it for just about everything: family pictures, vacations, etc.The pictures come out clear, the camera is very easy to use and has nice features, such as zoom and auto-focus that make it a great all-around camera. The camera survived a lot of abuse from travel, etc. but did not survive a fall on a hardwood floor. But after many years of use, I can't complain. I would definitely recommend this camera!

4-0 out of 5 stars harumph!
this is a fine camera, but i have to admit that when i finished taking my photos and got them developed, i was dissapointed to see that they all came back upside down!I am happy with this camera but would like to see a model in the future perhaps that takes photos right side up. It's annoying.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great basic camera
Even though digital cameras are all the rage these days -- and I myself have three of them! -- sometimes you do want to use a film camera, especially when you can't carry an AC adapter with you, or don't want to shell out lots of money for extra batteries, to power your digital camera. Also, ISO/ASA 100 film or slower still gives you the best clarity outside of the negative and professional realms.Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars I LOVE this camera!!
I LOVE this camera. So much so that this is my second one.I dropped the first one on a stone floor and broke the door latch. It takes consistently GREAT pictures - I use Kodak MAX 800 speed film.People always complement the color and clarity. It's compact enough to carry in a purse or backpack. The only downside I could mention would be that you can't take pictures in rapid succession.

5-0 out of 5 stars Beautiful!
I love my Minolta 160c. It is the best camera I have ever had. I am not a professional photographer the camera I used prior to this was a canon snappy that is 10 years old. I got this one off of ebay and I have had no problems with it at all.
    1-0 out of 5 stars It's Garbage
I don't write reviews but I want to save someone from making a BIG mistake. The first time I used this camera was in Tahiti and after two rolls of film, it broke. I took it back to Circuit City and got another.I used one roll over Christmas and took it too Egypt. This new one broke after the third roll and I haven't used it since.Who cares about the warranty? What a waste of money - I certainly don't want to have another one of these.I am now using my old reliable 10-year-old camera and am sucking up the expense. But I also don't have pictures of Tahiti and Egypt. Am I supposed to carry two cameras in case this one doesn't work?Never again Minolta will you get my money. It's not the money for the camera but the trip pictures to places I will probably never go again. Thanks for the memories - not. ...
