5-0 out of 5 stars Wow!
I just finished the first set of pics with this machine and was surprised at the amazing sharpness and the accuracy of the autofocus, not to mention the deapth of field when compared to our older Canon digital camera.
5-0 out of 5 stars Exceptional Camera!!! Buy This!
I am an 11 year old boy who was looking for a camera to take pictures with, a good price and one that was nice. It turns out I get this camera and I took it to the beach and took it into the forest and the pictures turned out excellent! The only reason why I did not give it five stars was because sometimes it would beep and not activate no matter what I did. This is most likely because it is refurbished- this rarely happens. If I were you I would not worry about it and not by the camera because of it.
2-0 out of 5 stars Good For Outdoors Only
This camera is incredibly frustrating.I must admit that under ideal lighting conditions outdoors on a moderate to fully sunny day, the camera takes wonderful pictures. However, photos using indooor and mixed lighting conditions leave alot to be desired. If you want to take any indoor pictures with natural light, this is not the camera for you.The reason being is that if the flash is not activated or the lighting is not perfect, the camera slows down the shutter speed considerably.Since the camera does not have very good image stabilization (if any) indoor pictures are blurry unless you have the hands of a surgeon.Of course you can use the flash, but then your subject will be overlit, while the background is pitch dark. And forget about taking long range pictures indoors (i.e. at a graduation ceremony or wedding) because if the flash is on, you will get a black picture because the camera does not compensate the shutter speed for distance, it only adjusts to whether or not it thinks the flash is on.If it is off, your picture will be blurred because the shutter stays open for 1-2 seconds.Since I take alot of indoor pictures, this camera is worthless to me.If you only plan to take outdoor pictures in ideal light, this is the camera for you.If you want to do any natural light photography, forget it. ... 2-0 out of 5 stars Eh.
I gave it two stars because it was great... when it worked.
1-0 out of 5 stars A Piece Of Junk!!
Horrible camera. Barely had it 2 months before it went on the fritz.Drained the batteries within a few pictures. So not worth more then the cost of a disposable!! Sorry Kodak...but I'll stick with the good ol' reliable Sony.

2-0 out of 5 stars not so good
I have had this camera for about a year and a half.I got so fed up with it that I just bought a new one.I admit, this camera takes decent pictures in good lighting when the zoom isn't used. However, this camera takes horrible pictures if the zoom is used.I would only recomomend this camera to someone who just wants to take pictures of of thier surroundings or to a younger person who is getting their first digital camera. ... 3-0 out of 5 stars An issue
I bought this camera last year and returned it after about two weeks. In some reviews I had read, people mentioned how great it is at outdoor photos but that indoor/dim photos are not the best but I decided to ignore the second part. Most of my photo-ops are inside and none of the pictures I took turned out so great. Just thought I would do a quick warning because I was pretty bummed when I loaded up my pictures onto the computer and saw how poorly they had come out.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best camera for its time and can still hold its own today !
I love this camera it has enough features to keep you amazed even after 2 years of use like me.

5-0 out of 5 stars still going
My first digicam, bought it 2 years ago.
5-0 out of 5 stars Great Camera!
I've had my Canon A510 for over a year and I still love it.I've taken it on vacation with me several times, including one trip to Yellowstone Park, where I took about 1000 pictures. It's great. It's small and light and I like the way it fits my hand. It's fast. I never have to spend time waiting on it.It takes great pictures! It uses 2 batteries and the batteries last longer than my last camera lasted using 4.The only problem I've had is that occassionally the lens cover will stick and not completely open.I can just barely touch it with my finger and it unsticks and opens the rest of the way so that's not a major issue.

1-0 out of 5 stars Go bad too soon
I purchased a 510 PowerShot in summer of 2005. After couple time of use the zoom on the cameras lens wouldn't work anymore. I cound't take any picture anymore. I contacted Canon over this and they ask me to pay shiping to send the camera to them to fix.

5-0 out of 5 stars Nice Camera
I bought this Camera two years ago from Newegg. I do not have any problem with this camera. I love his camera. Easy to use.

4-0 out of 5 stars Best Camera!
I love my Sony Mavica 350.I am a college student, and although the camera was a bit on the expensive side, it has never failed me.I have never had problems with other CD's and all of my pictures turn out beautifully.Like some users have said, it is not hard to use, and the manual is very well layed-out.The only downside would be the camera's size.Since I am in college, I take my camera to many parties, and it can be a nuisance sometimes to carry it around unless you have a carrying case. However, the quality of the pictures definitely makes up for it!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Wonderful and convenient
A truly magnificent product. The mini-CD format is robust and so convenient - no longer any need to download pictures to the computer en masse - just view and select them one by one to e-mail, print or modify - they are safely stored on the CD, which fits in the DVD or CD-Rom drive of any computer that I have yet met.

4-0 out of 5 stars Some Important CONS you must be aware of
First off, let me make it clear that I am satisfied with this camera. I have had it for 8 months now and I have put it through its paces and its held up fine.
5-0 out of 5 stars Best camera for the price
I bought this camera six months ago for my 12 year old daughter. It was her (and ours) first digital camera.I read so many reviews prior to selecting this model. The reviews for this camera were so helpful. This camera has been so easy to use and it takes excellent pictures.Rechargeable batteries are definitely a must! This camera is the best camera for this price, no doubt about it.We have taken still shots and videos. It is so fun to have the option to take a video. We have some great clips. All I can say is we are so happy with the camera. We would definitely choose it again.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good deal
Good camera for the $129 I paid. Does everything pretty well, and your picture modes are pretty customizable. Only qualm is it takes a second or two longer than I wish when the camera saves/loads pictures to the memory card. Might be a problem when trying to shoot consecutive pictures-- but probably wouldn't be doing it with this type of camera anyways. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Quality
I love this Camera! I've owned it for over a year now and have not had ONE problem. It takes clear, sharp, quality photos that are never washed out or unbalanced. I love having the ability to turn the flash down a bit- as the flash IS bright, however I think this is a definite positive quality. Auto mode works great, but if I get daring, the manual controls are fun to play with too! Takes beautiful portraits. I love the "Sports" setting! It freezes the action and works great! I would definitely buy this camera again. It might be overwhelming for a beginner, but for a slightly more advanced, amatuer photographer, this camera is great!

3-0 out of 5 stars nice pictures but at this price you can do better
I bought this camera in the fall of 2004 and it seems to have met its maker now in March of 2006.I'll list the pros and cons of it.
5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent, if you understand what you're getting.
For the price, this camera gives an incredible zoom and an array of options far beyond the simple point-and-shoot.In fact, that's what had damaged its reputation a little -- it's competitively-priced with actual point-and-shoot cameras, and the average camera user suddenly has a camera they don't know how to use. That's not to say the full-auto mode can't give good pictures, but using this camera to its full potential requires a little setup. ... 1-0 out of 5 stars UGH!!!
This camera drinks battery juice like an alcholic drinks beer. Piece of junk that takes horrible, low-quality photos. Not even worth $50 new. One of the worst digital cameras I have ever used.

1-0 out of 5 stars it WAS okay.... until...
(okay so im really 14... now 14 & under)
1-0 out of 5 stars Terrible camera.
I was given this camera as a gift and it was possibly the worst camera I've ever had. My biggest issue with it was that if it's not bright and sunny out, the pictures come out horrible, despite whatever settings you're using. They either come out barely visible or have an ugly blue-ish hue to them. The camera eats up batteries like no tomorrow, the pictures are grainy, red-eye is a BIG problem, the camera itself is ugly and mildly bulky which makes it a pain to carry around, it has a very slow shutter speed[don't even bother trying to take pictures of anything that moves] and is all-around a terrible camera.

4-0 out of 5 stars pretty good!!
i luvvv this camera (i just got it today and its allllll that iv been doing!)its great the only things i dont like is how long it takes after u press the button till the time the picture actually takes!!, theres no sports mode on it (for xample at basketball today my dad couldnt take pictures because they all turned out blurry, and last is the movie feature doesnt hav sound sooo tecnically its not a movie!!! but overall i luv the camera!!!!!!!

2-0 out of 5 stars Not so great
I selected this camera, my first digital, because of the price and the interesting features (such as movie mode). While the convenience of digital cameras make them attractive, I would not recommend this camera.Inside pictures are always way too dark and blurry.I had some of the pictures that I took printed and they are terrible! Also, this camera has a VERY long pause between pushing the button to take the picture and the actual time that the camera shoots the scene. It takes so long that the subject (kids, dog) move before it is done! This is very frustrating. When I am in a situation where pictures are important (new baby, birthdays, Christmas), I always reach for my reliable film camera (Canon Rebel X).I like the idea of a digital camera but the quality that I expect is not present in this camera.

3-0 out of 5 stars Olympus Camedia D535
The camera is pretty good for its price. It was my first digital camera and was pretty good but now I'm looking to upgrade only because indoor pictures, even in well lit areas look very dim. Also I have to keep playing around with the settings in order for it to take a picture at all indoors, and it often times takes a really long time to actually take the picture. You have to have very steady hands in order for night mode/close up mode not to blur. It takes a bit of practice. Also I found the video to be quite pointless since there was no sound to it. Also I tried to take firework pictures, but that was a disaster. Pictures are excellent outdoors, and sometimes the bluriness during night photos can give an interesting effect...sometimes.

4-0 out of 5 stars I loved my Olympus C-740
I just upgraded to a digital SLR, but I had this camera for 3 years and it never let me down. It has travelled all around the world. The batteries lasted a long time, the photos were excellent (even at 3.2 MegaP) and it was a great camera for me while I was deciding whether to jump up to the SLR level or not.
5-0 out of 5 stars C740 Wow, What Nice Pics!
I printed my first set of pictures from a recent vacation, and WOW, these are some of the sharpest pictures I have EVER seen, easily better than anything my manual, 35mm Minolta and Pentax SLRs ever produced.I was a little concerned about the bulkiness and was considering upgrading to something smaller, but after talking to one of the camera experts at Penn Camera, I'm convinced this is probably the best choice out there for a smallish 10x.In simple terms, he explained that the smaller cameras have less glass and therefore are just incapable of the sharpness this little baby can produce. He lost a sale, but gained a customer.Megapixels are irrelevant if the image coming through is not sharp, so the 3MP this camera has is fine for prints up to 11x14.This thing has a myriad of features, alot more than anyone would ever need. The software is not bad either.I wish it was a bit smaller, which tempts me to drop the rating to 4, but I just can't get over how sharp these images are, so a 5 it gets!

4-0 out of 5 stars Great learning camera
While a three megapixel camera may seem anemic in todays standards, the quality of pics are overlooked. I can take a quality photo at max resolution (which I beleive is plenty for any consumer or hobbiest) that looks far better than any 6 megapixel pocket camera of similar price. And try finding one with a 10x zoom! The camera can be set to fully automatic, or you can play around. There are lots of settings that can be adjusted and tweaked. Thats what makes this a great learning camera. And with the beauty of digital, when you screw up you just delete it. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Good average camera
The camera has excellent features for the price. I wouldn't trade it for the world. Some things that are lacking: analog zoom, rechargeable battery. Add those features and the camera is unbeatable.
2-0 out of 5 stars I have seen better cameras
I thought this camera would be smaller, due to the description. The pictures on the screen look fuzzy. I am a bit disappointed with my purchase.I think it was ok for everyday use.

4-0 out of 5 stars Best camera for the money.
Best bang for the buck. Its easy to use, takes pretty decent pictures, the battery life isn't bad, makes good videos with voice recording, compact, and it's durable. if you are looking for a cheap camera with decent quality, a back up camera, or just a starter, this is for you. 5-0 out of 5 stars Totally great camera
I bought this camera two years ago and love it.I now have two others that are newer and more expensive, but I still end up using this camera so often because it's practical, the batteries last forever and it takes the right size pictures for uploading fast to online printing services. The pictures are great when printed as long as they are not enlarged much past 8x10 and the camera is extraordinarily sturdy.I have kept it in my purse for extended amounts of time, taken it on many trips, it has been dropped several times, and it just keeps workingIt is so easy to use in every way.All of the menu items are entirely self explanatory.I would highly recommend this camera. My others are Canon also and I love them all.

5-0 out of 5 stars 2 years old, and still going great
When I bought my A75, I did a little research, and the reviews I read were great. 2 years later, I am happy with my choice. I got an excellent camera that has taken a lot of pictures on different places: beaches, mountains, cities... The quality of the pictures is awesome. Even if it is not a 7MP, I think that for an "amateur home user", this camera is more than enough

4-0 out of 5 stars Great camera with a few limitations
I haven't read the other reviews, but wanted to put my thoughts in.I've had this camera for two years and it has performed wonderfully. At one point my brother dropped it from about six feet onto concrete and it hasn't affected performance at all.The 3.2 megapixel is more than enough to print great quality pictures ... I've printed mostly 4x6 and 5x7.I think this is a great point and shoot digital camera, and it's a nice bonus to have the movie mode.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good camera for the price
I got this camera a couple of weeks ago from my dad whose had it for 2 years. Takes great pictures (very clear and in focus). However, the screen blacks out for a few seconds after taking pictures so if you want to take a series of pictures within a short time, use the motion setting. Also, indoor pictures are sometimes blurry. But overall a good camera that takes awesome pictures for the price.
4-0 out of 5 stars Great camera; clicking noise on videos
I love this camera.I have owned it for about 1.5 years, and it has worked flawlessly. My only complaint is that when you take videos with it, you can hear a repetitive clicking sound during periods when the recorded sound is quiet.Of course, with all the great camcorders out there, this should not be an issue for most users. However, sometimes you don't have your camcorder with you and you want to capture a funny or interesting spontaneous event. This camera is great for that. The quality of the videos reminds me of the home movies of the 1960's and 1970's.There is a certain charm in having your videos not be "perfect" all the time, and thus I like it for that reason. The stills are great, the camera is very user friendly, and downloads to your PC are simple. Finally, buy the Panasonic 2100 NiMH batteries; they last a very long time without needing recharged.Enjoy!

4-0 out of 5 stars Top quality at an amazing price
I got this camera about 2 years ago; at the time it cost $350, which was actually reasonable considering the quality of the device. The screen is clear, the buttons are easy to press, and the camera takes AMAZING PICTURES, especially for only 3.2 MP. At the time, 3.2 MP was considered "good," but now I imagine most people would say that it is a low resolution; most cameras now come with around 6 MP. Well, now that this camera is slightly outdated, the price has dropped tremendously, and it isa great buy. Trust me, no one really needs 6 megapixels; I've already blown pictures from this camera up to 8x12 and they look gorgeous; no pixelization or anything.

3-0 out of 5 stars Sub-par picture quality in for low-light or indoor shoots
Overall the camera is a good, sturdy camera. I've had it for 3 years, and it hasn't suffered from the defective slider syndrome. However, the picture quality significantly worsens when you don't use flash (for example at a museum, or certain exhibits). The image is very blurry, no matter how steady you keep your hands.
1-0 out of 5 stars bad camera
Pictures were never as great as expected. Finally, after 2.5 years
1-0 out of 5 stars What's Even Worse Than A Defective Slider...?
I was actually quite happy with this camera for the first few months. It went everywhere with me, was compact and took what I thought were pretty good photos. However, the slider began to loosen up after nine or ten months, just before the 12 month warranty period expired.I checked around to get an estimate on 'tightening' the piece and found that minimally it would cost at least $100.

1-0 out of 5 stars What you save on buying film, you'll lose on batteries...
I bought this camera for myself during Christmas 2004.
4-0 out of 5 stars I love it!
This is a great camera. The quality is good and the camera is very durable. I've accidently dropped the camera several times, and it still works. However, I would suggest getting a memory card if you want to take more than 24 pictures at a time.

1-0 out of 5 stars You get what you pay for!!
I bougt this camera and a Olymus camera, both in the same price range, the Kodak camera was by far deficeint in quality of image and workmanship. Avoid this at all cost the Olympus was well made, durable, higher quality picture and ease of use. ... Read more

GREAT camera a lot of money to fix if not under warranty but excellent camera LOVED it wen i was bale to use it

5-0 out of 5 stars Love my camera!
This camera takes really fantastic pictures....if you just look in the pictures that people have taken with it you'll see a few of mine. They always turn out really well, I like all the features it has too.The only thing I wish is that it would've had at least 3x optical zoom.Other than that I don't have any complaints. This has been a great camera for me & I think most people would like it!

5-0 out of 5 stars AMATEUR FRIENDLY
It depends what one is used to, I suppose. Myself, I am no kind of expert in either cameras or photography, and not even much of an enthusiast. I got this camera in a fit of exasperation at a series of mishaps with my 35mm effort, and I can only say that as an unadventurous amateur I have been absolutely delighted with it and I don't grudge one penny of what I paid for it.

1-0 out of 5 stars Please don't buy this!!!!
It might take ok pictures, it might be an entry level camera, but..IT'S CUMBERSOME TO USE AND THE BATTERIES DON'T LAST MORE THAN 15 MINUTES. PLEASE, DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT....AVOID IT LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!!!!

1-0 out of 5 stars Don't buy this!!!
Think SUV is a gas guzzler?Well, this camera is WORSE.We knew about its short battery life, but we bought it anyway. If you have to replace batteries after about 20 pictures w/ flash, that is NOT a minor flaw!Had we known just exactly how short the battery life was, we wouldn't have bought this camera.Forget about its user-friendliness.Don't make the same mistake as we did!

4-0 out of 5 stars Great camera for beginners
This little camera is a great camera for someone who is new to photography. The settings that this little things has is wonderful. You can either run on autopilot and have it do the work for you or you can set the manual settings to your little hearts content. There are a few fun settings that you can add the background startup photo to one that you have taken or youcan add your own sound tot he startup as well. The only downside that I found with this camera is that it is a little fragile and if you drop it you better pray that you can pick i up in one peice. The pictures I took with this are awesome and pleased me until I moved onto bigger and better things, I highly recommend this camera to anyone who would like a cheap camera that has excellent results. ...
