Not Functional with Canon Rebel XT + Grip
I have a Rebel XT and battery grip.Unfortunately this particular strap just doesn't work very well with that combination.The two connector end that attach the camera are simply two long with no way to shorten them.With the hand strap connected, the strap itself is about 8" from the camera. ... Excellent little bag
This is a very nice bag, big enough to carry a traditional film SLR with an extra lens, or to carry two digital cameras. That's why I bought it: to carry a large, extended zoom digital camera plus a smaller ultracompact as well. It's big enough to carry the two cameras, their chargers, batteries and memory cards...yet it's a pretty compact package: it's not sprawling and floppy like some bigger bags.Read more

Small yet spacious
For less than [price], this case is well worth the money. The bag is small enough that you won't inconvenient for carrying a case, but big enough to hold your compact camera and even spare batteries for your power hungry digit camera. The bag feel tough enough that you will be glad that your camera is in the bag when it falls to the ground. One Bag For All Your Needs -- ALMOST
The photos on Amazon don't really give you an idea just how big a bag this is. I've got all my camera gear in there, five lenses, one Canon Digital Rebel, flash, and, in addition to my laptop, I also lug around a 300 GB external hard drive. As you might imagine, this thing gets a bit heafty to carry (not something you'd want on your back while hiking), and despite all the space to accommodate so much equipment, I still had to purchase some attachments for the one thing I think they didn't plan for when designing this bag -- power cords for your laptop. The laptop compartment is just big enough to squeeze in your laptop -- and that's it. As for protection, the bag is well padded and my camera, lenses, laptop, etc. all seem very secure. This is my second Tamrac bag, replacing a 20-year-old over-the-shoulder pro model, so I know Tamrac bags are durable, hold up to snow and rain, and keep your expensive equipment safe. Nice bag! However...
I never tried a Tamrac camera bag before, and I must say that I really like this model. Nice durable construction with a padded interior to protect your camera(s) and equipment. That being said, I am a little dubious about the claim that it will fit two SLRs with lenses attached. Certainly if your lenses are fixed then it shouldn't be a problem, but if both are equipped with zooms then you may run out of room. I have a Nikon D70s, and with the 18-70mm DX kit lens attached it reaches just about to the center of the bag or slightly past it. Either way, two cameras like that would result in the lenses touching tightly at the caps. As my other camera is a Coolpix 5400 room isn't an issue, but it did factor into me giving the Pro 4 stars instead of 5. So basically, if you have one SLR and want a roomy bag with adjustable dividers and pocket space then this may be what you're looking for, otherwise you may want to look for a larger model.

As capacious as ...
I bought the Tamrac 5608 Pro 8 because it easily holds holds two pro sized SLR bodies (Nikon F3s with short-ish lenses and the 8 AA battery powered MD4 motor drives attached) and 4 additional lenses, but its active career in my 'photo-arsenal' was short lived. Roomy yet light.
Well finished, balanced, beauty... a very very nice camera bag. I�m not fond of back-packs or kangaroo pouches for carrying my photo gear. I prefer the classic, standard, shoulder-hanged bag. I particularly feel this one as a very safe and rugged one.Read more

Utility, versatility and reliability

Good for Cool Pix 4300
I bought this for my Cool Pix 4300.I thought it might be too small, but I am able to fit the camera, charger, usb cable extra battery, extra memory card, and it is still possible to squeeze in the manual if you bend it a little.Would be too small if you have additional accessories to accomodate.It is hard to judge the size of camera cases online, so I hope this helps someone. ...
