Be Careful What You Buy Here!
I ordered this camera, and paid for it. When the camera arrived; it did not work. I now find that I have no recourse at all. I am out all my money for a camcorder that is useless. So, be careful what you buy on this web site. I will never be here again.Note: the one star rating is because there is no "0" star rating.

Telecasting Camera
I've own a camera just like this one (model-cc4362) For 3-4 years now and it's great except for recording around or inloud noices. I actually Televise with mines, although I Looking for a digital camera to televise with, but this one is doing a great job for now. It has help me to make Thousands of Memories for lot of peoples ,but most of all my Church.

Good Camcorder / Bad Battery
I purchased the RCA CC4352 Full-Size VHS Camcorder nearly 2 years ago and found it simple to use. For the price, its an excellent camcorder and it takes quality video's. The only problem I've had is that the battery went dead after 6 months and it could no longer be recharged. The recharger works, but the battery is worthless. I have also been unable to locate a new battery, so I'm limited to using the camcorder with the plug-in adapter. Great camcorder
I concur wholeheartedly with all the good reviews here--we've had this camcorder for many years now and have shot hundreds of hours of video with it.It's great!One possible design flaw is the rotating eyepiece or viewfinder.Over the years the ribbon cable inside it wore out and I had a dickens of a time finding another.There are parts lists several places but no diagram to determine the part number, even from RCA (Thomson)service centers.If your display has gone to black and white or otherwise fritzed out, try moving the eyepiece down toward the stored position and see if it comes back (mine did, in green).If so, this cable is likely what you need.The part number for the cable is TCE 244342, and with shipping it ran about $30.Well worth it to keep this camera going.Order from Thomson Consumer Parts at 800-338-0376.As of this week they had about a hundred left in inventory.Good luck!

Lights, Action, Camera...This is a very good camera; light, easy to use, simple to understand, all controls are easy to reach, picks up the sound of a needle dropping on the floor, vcr mode lets you playback what you taped, and great in low light! Nice Surprise
I thought I did all the research possible to find the right camcorder.After searching online I had firmly decided on the Panasonic PV-L750.I wanted a camcorder with the still picture feature.When I got to the electronics store, the clerk persuaded me towards this RCA model.It was lighter, smaller, has a higher zoom and had a clearer picture.Although I initially thought he was just trying to talk me into a higher priced item, I chose the RCA.I am very pleased with this camcorder...and it's my first!At the store where I bought it, the Panasonic was a little cheaper, but keep in mind that it does not come with the VHS converter.Purchasing it separately would have made it actually made the Panasonic more expensive.I'm having a great time with my camcorder and I love being able to download and email pictures on my computer.

Outstanding Merchandise
I enter this sight just for gk (general knowledge) of a product that we recently purchased. I was very impressed with information that was available to me at a push of a button. Low level battery time
This camcorder is fantatic in all that it does. Light and surprising clarity of output. The only disadvantage is that you only get a 30 minute battery and 30 minute video cassette. Having to stop and charge yourbattery every thirty minutes could tend to be a bothersome bore. I havecalled to get another battery but RCA don't sell any batteries past 30minutes. Other then that. The cam is easy to use and you can put videocharacters while you are recording.

After having researched many camcorders, I found this to be the most economical, with the extra features and perks you would want.It has GREAT quality in both the tape replay and the view on the lcd.I highly recommend this to anyone wanting a new cam corder, whether they be replacing a current one, or to anyone who is buying one for the first time.It is easy to use and handle and has everything at your finger tips. Voila - no fumbling or having to memorize every dial.Great for everyone.Plus,we wanted a camera with a tape that could be popped into the vcr and viewed right away.This camera provides that option easily, with the standard converter.Only drawback is length of time the battary lasts.I highly recommend always having a backup ready.....however, if you do not use the light, and you don't need to very often, it extends the life much longer. ... Junk camera
Ask anyone who has used the CDS6300 much, and you'll get (at least) the following complaints:
Windows XP Tip
This is not as much a review as a Windows XP tip for loading the CDS6300 driver.I could not get the current RCA driver to run until I first removed the driver.Below are the steps I think you will need to get the CDS6300 driver to work on Windows XP.I know that removing a driver before loading a new one is good practice but after reading the reviews I assumed the driver did not work on Windows XP and spent my time trying to contact RCA to see if they had a driver.
HORRIBLE PRODUCT QUALITY. BATTERY DOOR THEN DEAD!
I acquired this unit in a "special counter" of used goods locally. It came with a paltry but adequate 8MB CompactFlash card. The battery door was already broken (since confirmed to be THE most recurring defect) due to inadequate engineering and shoddy materials. I rigged up a velcro tape solution that worked ok and was moderately impressed with the image quality (and drain of batterys). Then, it happened. No power on, no indication of any kind of impending problem. I have since researched this unit and my experience has been reflected MANY times - broken door and then one day you too will have a dead unit with no recourse. ... Read more

Do not buy this Camera!!
We received this camera as a Christmas present last year, and we loved it at first.Loads of features and easy to use.However, the camera died after 6 hours of use.We took the camera into an authorized repair shop, and it has been there for the past 4 months!!!The RCA Customer service department is HORRIBLE!!...So now we have a camera sitting in a repair shop, and a manufacturer that won't return our calls or stand behind their product.

Joy to my world!
I just got this camera. I am a novice at digital video, so I am reading Rubin's "little digital video book", and as per his tutilage, I made my first video of my bedroom using this gem of a camera.The 3.5 inch LCD screen was large, looked like a little TV set, and doing the shooting was a pleasure.When I played it back, low and behold, the shakies had disappeared -- the built in digital image stabilization.What fun!So now to try to make a real video out of that.So I bought a firewire card, plugged it into my PIII (850mhz) pc with 390 RAM, and installed adobe premiere.Would it work with the RCA?Well, setting the software to "generic" camera, it worked!!!I could control the camera from the software and capture the clips.Now for the editing.I was able to make a little video along with a disolve transition between clips.Eureka!!! double fun.Read more

service port?
I just purchased this camcorder and so far am pleased. There is a port on it called a service port which is labeled in the manual but does any body know the purpose of this port and what connects it to what?

CC9370 same as CC9360
FYI, the two cameras the RCA 9360 and RCA 9370 are the same, only the 9370 comes with a battery charger (A cost saving idea). Causes some grief because with the 9360, you actually use the camera as a battery charger. Not really obvious. It is also important to remove the battery if you are not using the camera (you can charge the battery and forget to remove it, and it will be dead when you need it). Recommend buying a battery charger for the 9360.

I picked this camcorder up for a song.I've had it 3 years now and it still has not given me any problems.It is solid for the light use I give it without sacrificing quality.
