Not bad, for the low blowout price
For Amazon's blow out price, you can't touch a Mini-DV recorder, let alone get one with a 3" LCD display. However, some clarification is required to Amazon's page. The camcorder does NOT have a color electronic viewfinder (EVF) as stated in the description. Amazon has been notified of the error. I loved it
I bought this camcorder back in November of 2001.I used it until March, when it got stolen.I really enjoyed owning this camera.It's light, easy to maneuver, and the menus are easy to navigate.However, it did not take very good shots in bright light.It comes with all the cables and software necessary to hook on to the computer and to the TV.RCA discontinued this model, but if you come across it, buy it-I recommend this camcorder to anyone. ... Don't Get Tricked by Ad Language
I had this product for a little over a year without a warranty. I used it primarily for MP3 recordings.It died one day. The buttonsstick, its operation was confusing, manual confusing, nice screen. Not looking forward to getting ripped off by RCA (again) for a repair. Wish I had bought a more expensive iPod, it would have been cheaper in the long run and without the frustrations.

Thomson (RCA) Lyra - Used with Linux
ok I'm using this thing in an unsupported Linux environment, but basically it works. Plug it in and it appears as a USB drive, drag and drop mp3 files onto the device. They play fine.
Trying to get mine repaired is heck!!
I bought this a year or so ago and (unfortunately) didn't get the extended warranty this time. After many hours of downloads, at least 100 CD's, it stopped working. I took it apart and found the tape that holds the hard drive to the battery had come apart in several connections. I called all over, searched the internet, and found someone in Canada who had the same prob w/a similar model. He knew of 2 other people as well.

garbage
i got this as a gift and it started out for the first month or so working fine.now whenever i try to listen to a cd all it does is skip.i ended up going back to the cheap $20 gpx one that i had before i got this one.the only reason i switched is because it was a gift and i thought it might be a little better.but now i realized that i was wrong.do not waste your money on this.

I am replacing this cd player now, but i have to say it was more than sufficent. It has lasted a year and a half though many falls, scorching heat, and being soaked a few times. I am well pleased with the fact that i can keep my entire rammstein collection on one cd, and still have room for a hundred more! The navigation was simplistic, the buttons never stuck, and after the above abuses, it still works, sorta. I've had this unit less than a year, and used it twice.I have average knowledge of computers and add-on's, and had an RCA Lyra prior to this one.

Downloading is very easy and the software included with the package, Musical JukeBox, is really great to manage your files. NEVER buy ANYTHING from RCA, GE or Proscan!!!!!!!!!!
Were talking NEGATIVE stars here! RCA, GE and Proscan are all owned by Thomson Electronics which is no more than Thomson Pharmaceuticals, a French drug company that bought those three companies. Thomson seems to know exactly nothing about electronics and less about customer service. I hand-carried a defective DVD unit to a local Authorized Service Center. The runaround began. A part was bad. The part was ordered. The wrong part arrived. Part ordered again. Part arrives broken. Part ordered again. No parts available anywhere in the country for a 5 month old unit. They say they'll send a new unit. More than a month later new one arrives at service center. Outside box is in perfect shape. Inside box is smashed. Unit is tested and found to be non-functional. They put a smashed-up box in a good box and shipped an already broken unit. I haven't yet mentioned that the whole time this was going on I logged literally hundreds and hundreds of minutes of long distance calls to Thomson because they have no 800 number. After two and one half months had gone by altogether since I'd dropped it off, another new unit finally arrived. I took it, unopened, as well as the other one I'd bought back to where I'd bought them and they gave me my money back. I went to Best Buy and bought two Panasonic DVD recorders for 10 bucks less apiece. They've been working flawlessly ever since. NEVER buy ANYTHING from RCA, GE or Proscan! NEVER!! Unless you enjoy banging your head against a brick customer service wall for more than two and a half months. If you read this and you still buy ANYTHING from RCA, GE or Proscan, you DESERVE the screwing Thomson is going to give you. I will dance a jig the day I hear Thomson goes out of business. I hope this review helps to speed that process.

FYI, the 9360 is identical to the 9370, except the 9370 has a battery charger. google search for "cc9370 rca manual".
What a Great Camera!!!!
The RCA CC9360 is a really great camera. I just got mine and I am very impressed. It is packed with tons of features perfect for the amature user. You can use the qutomatic settings, or manually set things like focus, exposure, or white balance, for that perfect shot. The camera is smaller than I thought it would be, and it is very lightweight too. The video light is very bright, and it is nice to have stereo microphones. It has a very durable feel.
