will not buy Kyocera again
My main complaint is the battery. At first battery life was average, but at least working. Now (less than a year later) I might be able to take 5 pictures before the camera says "battery low" and shuts down. You are not given any warning - as soon as it says "battery low" your photo time is done. I also did not like that photos are not numbered. If I want to go back to a certain picture, I have to remember where in the lineup it is and just scroll through pics - I much preferred my numbered pictures on my old Olympus. I think I will be returning to Olympus products this go-round.

Very goodpurchase !
The Kyocera S5R is quite the complete camera.Like one of the other reviews said, it rises above the rest when taking action pictures (for examples, kids in a soccer game).It comes with good software, cables.Very easy to connect to TV and computer.Controls are easy (worst case, a quick read through the reference card should get any one set.)Its only down side is from what I was told from an SME, is the night pictures.So again, I was very happy with my purchase.My pictures from my vacation look really nice.Good luck.

Good Pictures, Battery Hog
This camera takes excellent pictures, and the LCD screen to view them is also excellent with its crystal clear display!I find the on screen menu and options to be very helpful, and the one touch flash is pretty neat too, no seperate option it is on the same button as the snap button.
great camera
I have had this camera for a while now and I have to say it takes excellent pictures and is easy to use.I am really suprised that it was given negative reviews.I rarely write reviews, but felt that people were definately being unfair in this case.I would recommend this camera to anyone (and have on several occasions).
Good pics but poor in mechanics
I bought the Concord at a reduced price and have taken some excellent pictures with it. Then problems occurred. The camera just stopped working. I sent it back to the company and got a replacement camera--without the memory card, which I had in the original. This is a small irritant but seemed sort of chintzy of Concord. Now, I have a camera full of pics in the internal memory that I cannot download using both the Concord-supplied software or any other. I keep getting the error message that there are no pics in the camera, yet I can click on to see the pics are stored inside. I'm very dissatisfied with this camera. ... Read more

Excellent camera for the price.
I bought this camera earlier this year at Office Max for only $50 with two reasons in mind. One of them was I wanted a cheap digital camera that took good pictures and I could bring anywhere. This way if something happened to it, it wouldn't matter since it didn't cost a lot anyways. The second reason was that it takes 2 AA batteries. I like this because all I need is 4 rechargeable AA's and I'm set. I wasn't sure of how good the pictures would be since I always used to hear 3 megapixels or better was a must. Not at all, I have taken hundreds of great photos with this camera of many things, including lots of different scenery and the pictures look amazing. My friends and family can't believe some of the pictures I've taken with just this camera. I always use the 1600x1200 resolution on the highest quality since I have a 256MB SD card. Speaking of that, the internal memory is only 7MB, but with how cheap SD cards are now, getting a 256 or 512MB SD card shouldn't be a problem.

I got one in the year 2003 for christmas! I've tooken pictures with it ever since! It is great. The best feature is the 15 second video. You can capture great moments in motion!

Oh My Rod, This thing is Awesome!
I'll keep this short and sweet because so many people have already sung the praises. I have logged numerous hours with this DVD/Universal Player and have not seen any problems. Picture quality is amazing and the High Resolution Audio Capability is superb. SACD and DVD-Audio have never sounded so good. This is a true giant-killer and worth its weight in gold.
