The order was promply filled as promised and arrived a 3 days.The merchandise was new and in exdellent condition.I have not yet had time to use it seriously.

Works well for its design
True, this attachment blocks the pop-up flash of the s1-is, but I use an external strobe with a Wein photocell trigger on the bottom to compensate indoors.You can mount it on a bracket with the camera, or handhold the flash to avoid red-eye, bounce off the ceiling, or angle the light from the side.
not to be used with flash
Wide converter lenses normally make sense to be used indoors where space is limited. But the WC-DC52a can hardly be used there, because its big diameter results in a very big shadow on each flash-lighted foto (in addition the Powershot S1 IS doesn't support external flashlights).Read more

not worth it
I'm not sure if this is exactly the item I purchased. Nevertheless I did get a couple of "compatibles" and they worked just fine for about 3 months. Then they would not charge, then they would again, and then not .... Well, I "saved" quite some money, and am now going back to Canon originals.

Don't buy these
I bought 2 of these for a Canon S40 camera. As reported by another reviewer the charger blinks red and green and the batteries just won't charge. I returned both. I then bought some even cheaper batteries from Amazon marketplace which work just fine.

This does NOT work!

it does not fit a G3
As simple as that, if you got a G3 don't buy it, it will not fit.The bottom screw which hold the camera to the case does not aling to the existing threads on the body of the camera. Don't get me wrong here it is a fine product, nice brown leather well crafted, but IT DOES NOT FIT A G-3

good features, but pretty bulky
One thing noted about the Canon Rebel 2000 is that it is very small for an SLR. Some people like this, but others find that it makes the grip uncomfortable. This is the main reason I bought this grip, to "extend" the vertical grip so my whole hand could fit around it. There is another option for the R2K, the battery pack, which is similar, except it has space for extra batteries instead of a mini tripod. I believe the battery pack has a vertical shutter release button, but this grip does not. Read more
