4-0 out of 5 stars Good Value, but beware of Processor Policies.
I work at a professional photo lab, and I can attest to the quality of the film inside this camera. It produces results comparable to the Kodak PowerFlash -- that is, it performs superbly for outdoor and bright indoor shots, but it will tend to give grainy images in low-light situations.
2-0 out of 5 stars Not digital, Kodak should be ashamed
Despite the name, and the assertions of some sales people, this is not a digital camera. It is a one-time-use film camera with an inflated price that gives you a "free" Kodak Picture CD when you have the film processed. The problem with this plan is that many film processors either don't know, or conveniently seem to forget, about the free Picture CD and they charge you their normal price for it. You already paid for it in the price of the camera. It only costs $2 to $3 to get a Picture CD when your film is processed, so get an inexpensive disposable camera and avoid the hassle of convincing the film processor that they owe you a free CD. The "Maximum Versatility" film used in this camera does not produce particularly good pictures (then again, I guess no disposable camera produces outstanding pictures), it just gives tolerable pictures under a wide range of conditions.
4-0 out of 5 stars Great when you don't have your usual camera
My digital camera broke while on vacation so we picked up one of these to use for the last two days. The quality of the prints was comparable to a fixed focus camera. Not great, but acceptable. And the same could be said for the digital pictures.I'm not sure what the resolution is, but I'd say about 1.3 megapixels.I wouldn't want to make big prints from them but they were fine for viewing on screen and emailing.

4-0 out of 5 stars A pretty, decent camera
I received my P850 as a Christmas gift from my husband in 2005, who took my Canon Ixus 40 (4 MP) camera with him to Iraq (and I was reluctant to give it up...that is a GREAT little point and shoot camera!!!)I started out in the digital world with a Nikon 950 (2 MP) and I used that one for years and years...it finally got sand in the swivel mechanisism and has never been the same since:( I decided that this is the camera I wanted because I didn't know if I would use an SLR because I was still an ameteur.I research many cameras, if not daily, close to it.I still can't seem to find a better camera. The thing I liked about this camera was that it had plenty of mode scenes to choose from because I was still pretty intimdated by the Priorty, Aperature and shutter sequences.Well, I'm not any more...esp since I've had this camera.I can adjust just about anything to suit the lighting and I rarely, if ever use the flash anymore! The menu features are easily assesible and intuitive to use as well ( A good feature to have!) As a matter of fact, I've looked into a full-blown SLR cameras and can't seem to find one that really compares to this! The fact that this camera can be upgraded with an external flash and wide-angle and telescopic lenses makes this a nice fit.
5-0 out of 5 stars Love this camera!
I love this digital camera! The image stabilizer, picture clarity, ease of use, zoom (which is why I chose this camera for the zoom capability), and the videos. The software is so easy to use, and its' enhance mode on the editing takes all the work out of my hands. The auto correct of the red eye on the software is excellent. I would highly recommend this camera. Before going to Disney World with my kids, I bought an extra battery, but never even needed it.I took a lot of pictures and a lot of video clips!

5-0 out of 5 stars easy to use
The camera and software are very intuitive and easy to use. Camera takes beautiful pictures, perfect for point and shoot, with great flexibility for the amateur photographer for taking slightly more advanced photos. I'd recommend this camera to my great grandmother! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Worlds best camera!
If I had to be stuck with one camera, this one would be it. I've owned it for a year and it's fantastic! What do you want for $150? This is a steal. It takes better pix than my friend's and family's cameras that are 2-3x more expensive.
1-0 out of 5 stars Not what your looking for?
this camera may look pretty but i dont like it one bit. I got this camera last summer before i went on a trip to ohio. At first i thought it was great but now ive totally changed my mind. This camera has bad image quality and is not reliable. It also has an extremely bad zoom and its horribly slow. Its already breaking too. Ive had this camera less than a year and im ready to get a new one. So please- if you are looking to purchase a good quality camera- dont but this one.

5-0 out of 5 stars Dependable!
I bought this camera from amazon.com two years ago and it's been nothing but reliable. It's simple to use and packed with features - other favorable reviews are dead on - but my story is about its sturdiness.Today, I accidentally dropped it from a balcony 12 feet high onto concrete paving, and thought it was gone for sure. One of the prong hinges for the battery door broke, the door itself separated from the camera, and the casing came open on one side.I was able to pop the casing closed with a screwdriver, and reattach the battery door (half a hinge seems to be sufficient). The mechanisms and electronics still work *perfectly*.Optical zoom, automatic lens cover, flash, everything. It's incredible. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Great Price For Advanced Options
The camera was just what I was looking for.My daughter had to have the option to change F Stop on a digital camera for a class she is taking at school. This camera for under $400 was the only one we could find at a decent price with this option. Thanks Guaranteedtech (seller on Amazon), Kodak, and Amazon.I am very pleased with the camera.

1-0 out of 5 stars Poor Quality
We have had this camera for one year and it worked great for the first few months, but even then the shutter would not open all the way and we would get part of the shutter in the pictures. We have had to replace the battery door which broke at about 4 months and now the camera will not charge in the docking station. In order to fix the problem Kodak says it will cost over $100.Regular AA batteries do not last long enough.I would recommend you purchase another brand.

3-0 out of 5 stars Very disappointed with customer service

5-0 out of 5 stars Best camera I've owned...
I bought this camera in mid-2004 when it was the latest thing. Nowadays, when 7.0+MP cameras are everywhere at exactly the same price I got it($305.00), I wouldn't change it for anything. It's easy to configure, and the pictures looks great as digital images and printed. I used it mostly to take pictures of band shows, where people moves often under dark places, and pics were always luminous, crisp and expresive. And not to mention outdoor pictures, I did lots of internal touring around the island and pictures couldn't look any better...!
3-0 out of 5 stars Good but some flaws.
I got this camera around two months ago and it is great, except for one flaw. There is something wrong with the flash, it is programmed to be on but there is no flash ever. It ruins the whole picture usually. I need help, or I might as well throw this camera away.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great camera
I've had this camera for a little over 8 months now and i love it!! So far, I have had no problems with it. It is an excellent bargain for price, quality and the various functions. 3-0 out of 5 stars Good...at first.
I bought this camera in November of '05 for the approaching holiday season. In the beginning I LOVED it.It was small, took good pictures and handled well.As time went on it developed some minor issues. At times when I would turn it off, the lens would not retract completely. I just brushed it off as being typical electronic malfunction. This was until it completely stopped working this summer. At first the lens would not retract at all and then the camera would power on and off right away.I sent it in, as it was under warranty, thankfully the repair was covered and I received it back with the minor glitch of the lens still not retracting properly.I chalked up to be wear and tear and continued to use because the camera work fine otherwise.(Note: Kodak charges you $35 when you send in a camera for return shipping if the camera repair is not eligible as a warranty repair. You can also choose to have them repair it, but it will cost $35 shipping and handling plus the cost of the repair.)
5-0 out of 5 stars Great Camera
This camera is so easy to use no more pushing 5 buttons until you get the right one this does it all I did not read the manual and used it right out of the box.So much easier than my Nikon that takes hours to learn.
4-0 out of 5 stars Miss view finder
The camera takes great pictures but I cannot see the screen to take a picture when I am outdoors. There is too much reflection.

2-0 out of 5 stars Absolutely useless
I own a Sony Cybershot DSC-P72 and I bought a 4-pack of these batteries so I could have backups. Even after fully charging, they ran out in about 1/4 of the time of the Sony batteries that came with the camera. One freshly-charged set ran out after about ten minutes while my camera was USB-connected to my PC. I put another charged pair in and the camera wouldn't turn on at all.

2-0 out of 5 stars Great outdoor perfect-lighting pictures, really poor lowlight pics.
We have had this camera for over a year now. We have had previous good experiences with kodak cameras, so when we bought this one we were confident that it would take great pics. What a disappointment when we realized that it takes horrible lowlight pictures (I mean, really bad!). Outside in perfect daylight, the pictures are clear and really great. Inside or outside in lower light settings, the pictures do NOT turn out at all. I would not buy this camera knowing what I know now. Too bad - Kodak had our loyalty until this experience! We are planning a trip across the US this summer and are going with a different brand hoping for better overall picture quality as we treasure our family pictures and want good quality for them. Our advise is to not buy this - it is not worth the price.

4-0 out of 5 stars great camera for a point and shoot
This camera is a very good camera for what it is.I have taken some great shots that have made excellent 8 x 10'S.The fact that it has the capability to use an external flash really helped with night time action shots.I shoot football and racing and it has worked for both. The only complaint with the racing photography was there is some shutter delay but if you pan with the subject it does a decent job.If you learn to use the manual modes on the camera you can adapted to most photography situations.I pushed this camera to its limits for over 7,000 shots and videos combine. The video mode is nice and does a decent job.As far as durability it is great I have droped it,subjected it to intense amounts of dust and dirt, and temperature changes and it has held up great.Although the battery does tend to drian faster in colder temperatures.Overall for a point and shoot it is very adaptable and can shoot in various conditions.

5-0 out of 5 stars Fantastic Camera!
I have had mine for 2 years, and never a problem. I've taken it out with me camping and hiking dozens of times, and while I take great care never to drop it it has bounced around in backpacks and is quite scuffed from use.

I bought this camera for myself during Christmas 2004.
4-0 out of 5 stars I love it!
This is a great camera. The quality is good and the camera is very durable. I've accidently dropped the camera several times, and it still works. However, I would suggest getting a memory card if you want to take more than 24 pictures at a time.

1-0 out of 5 stars Horrible camera and horrible support center
The camera broke befre I even used it,kodak wont fixt it unless I give them $400 that is more than I got the camera for, they are crazy

3-0 out of 5 stars Nice Camera
I bought this camera in 4 months back. It seems to be working well except that the lighting is not very good. I've had my friends say that I should turn on the flash which in fact I did. The real bad thing about this camera is the dial. Mine broke in 3 months. I have to ship it back to get it fixed.
5-0 out of 5 stars GREAT CAMERA!!
I bought the Kodak DX7440 about 2 months ago.Along with that I ordered the Camera Dock, and a couple of extra batteries (which hasn't gotten used yet, because the one I have in there has never died on me. I just keep it on the camera dock while not in use and it keeps it full), and a 512mb sd card (which allows me to take close to 400 pictures at a time before having to upload them to my computer.) plus the internal memory allows you to take 21-24 pictures.I have a 2 1/2 year old, and he's constantly running around outside, and my old camera usually would blur almost every picture, however the dx 7440... it takes crystal clear pictures, absolutely nothing is blurry if he's running around and I snap a picture, it captures him full focus, his blue eyes (not red), if his hair is standing up on the top of his head you see that, (not like previous pictures which makes him look like a comet with a tail) and one of the best things about this camera is that's it's always ready to take a picture, no processing everytime you click a picture.(my previous camera after every 1 or 2 pictures it would process for what seemed like 20 seconds... and ofcourse it would happen everytime my son would be ready to take a good picture.

1-0 out of 5 stars DO NOT BUY
I bought this camera from Sears a year and half ago.I purchased the extended warranty. The battery latch broke and they claim it is from customer abuse.Althought it has no scratches or marks on it, and the latch seems to be the BIG problem with these cameras, I am out the $200 for the camera.DO not recommend KODAK camera for this reason.THE BATTERY LATCH BREAKS and KODAK WILL NOT REPLACE.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Camera no problems
If you are looking for an easy camera to use this is it.It has a lot of options as well.We have had many pictures blown up into posters with fabulous results. We simply uploaded them to some internet sights having sales, and are unbelievably impressed.Thankfully, after almost two years of ownership we have not had one single problem with this camera.I would definitely buy this again .Even though we paid quite a bit more money for it than what it is now selling for.

5-0 out of 5 stars LOVE THIS LITTLE CAMERA !!
I bought this before Christmas 2 years ago.It is simply a great digital camera for the money.I just returned from a 14 day European trip to Italy, France and Spain, and got some fantastic pictures !!!I also got some great pictures using the NO FLASH and the landscape mode.It is so user-friendly!!I love this camera and will probably purchase Kodak in the future.

2-0 out of 5 stars Takes great pictures but beware!!!!!
I loved this camera It took great pictures was easy to use and with the dock a sinch to charge the view screen even worked pretty well when it was sunny....I would have given this camera a 5 before I started having problems with it ...first the view screen stopped working but I could still take pictures..then it would only boot up some times...and now it won't turn on at all...actually I take that back the ready light continously blinks red......I have read many other review that have the same problems with this camera....a word to the wise DON'T BUY THIS CAMERA...you're just asking for it!!

2-0 out of 5 stars Be Careful
Purchased this camera a short time ago. It was the second Kodak DX camera I purchased. Many problems with software, many problems with charging both cameras on the charging dock and the flash on both DX's stopped working. One while in warrenty and the second just out of warrenty. They want $95.00 plus shipping to repair the flash. I don't take a lot of pictures- maybe 50 a year that require flash so I warn others about Kodak cameras especially if you take many pics that require flash. ... Read more

Why can I notfind this camera anywhere

5-0 out of 5 stars Best Camera I Have Owned!
I purchased this particular camera July 2003.Thus far I have taken 7 rolls of film with this camera.First off I found loading the film to be the easiest I have encountered. You just drop the film in, shut the door and the film sets itself. All of the features in this camera allows the photographer to take GREAT pictures.Every picture I took, using this camera, looked as though a professional had taken them.To get familiar with all of the features I purposely took pictures that utilized each feature.Again every picture came out GREAT!Close ups of people did not have the red-eye due to the Flip Flash feature.Photos I took of objects far away seemed a lot closer due to the Infinity feature.Photos I took at night looked as though they were taken in the day light due to the Night View feature. The 3 picture sizes also produced fabulous pictures. The Preview screen, on the back of the camera, came in handy for viewing the picture right away to make sure I got the shot I was after.I also like that I can set the date, time and event to print on the photo.I love this camera so much that I am trying to find one for several members of my family.

5-0 out of 5 stars What I've Been Looking For!
I absolutely love this camera!I was considering a digital camera but wasn't impressed with the clarity of the pictures, and yet I really wanted to send pictures to family via e-mail.This camera gives me the best of both worlds and for a lot less money! Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Good quality photos, lacks manual control
I got this camera for Christmas in 2004 after seeing it in the flyer at Circuit City. I was so happy, I had finally gotten a REAL digital camera (previously I had owned a cheap Vivitar 3555 with no optical zoom). As this camera nears the end of it's second year of use, it has sustained little damage unlike others have contested, and image quality is still high above par for a 3 MP camera.
1-0 out of 5 stars Its all about the battery
3.1 M Pixels is a little low by today's standards, but is adequate for many common uses (web pages and 4x6 prints). This camera takes good quality pictures in most common situations. It could be a great 1st camera for a teenager if it was reliable.
5-0 out of 5 stars Overall, a good camera
I've had my Kodak for about two years now, and it's been a great little camera, with a few important drawbacks.

With its 24-60mm lens (2.5x), the Kodak Advantix C750 camera lets you zoom in for intimate close-ups and back out again for group shots. For those occasions when you can't zoom out far enough, you can switch to panorama mode and capture that sweeping landscape or get the whole group. To ensure that you always know what your image will look like, the C750 uses a real-image viewfinder that works no matter what print format (C, H, or P) you're using. The handy midroll change feature lets you switch film cartridges at any time. This lets you share your camera, but keep your film separate; you can also switch between black-and-white and color film or organize your images by theme.Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Disappointed
As SuePDesigning1 wrote, I 2 purchased this camera based on the excellent reviews it received from my number 1 research tool and "bible"-Consumer Reports Magazine. I had the camera for approximately 3-4 years. It took wonderful pictures for a "point and shoot" camera. The picture quality was worth the extra price i paid for the specialized "Advantix" film. Pictures from this camera rivaled those I had previously taken with a 35mm camera and were tons better than those I took with throwaway cameras. I was proud to carry it with me. It fit into my purse very nicely and I could whip it out anytime the occasion arose 2 take a picture. My audiences just loved those pictures. When it stopped working in the middle of my picture-taking at an important event about 2 months ago, I too thought the battery needed to be replaced. We replaced the battery. About 2 weeks ago I was taking pictures and the camera stopped working again. Again we purchased a new battery thinking the 1 we had just purchased was bad;the camera still didn't work. Our experience to get some satisfaction from Kodak exactly mirrors the experience of SuePDesigning1;in fact, our stories are the same except we got mysteriously "disconnected" when 1 troubleshooter tried to transfer our call to another unit that may have been able to further assist us. Needless to say we were not beneficiaries of a coupon or a throway camera and we're left with all of this Advantix film. I was going 2 purchase another Kodak Advantix camera just to use the film but I think now I'll go with a reputable digital vendor. Thanks for letting me vent!

1-0 out of 5 stars Would not recommend!!!
I bought this camera 2 years ago based on the rave reviews I read here. I really liked the camera and felt that the picture quality was good, it was easy to use and despite a sluggish zoom I felt that overall I got a pretty good camera for the money. Rercently, I was taking pictures and the camera just stopped working. I put in fresh batteries. Still nothing. Bought more batteries thinking the ones I had were duds. The camera still refused to work. I checked the Kodak website for repair info, called the recommended company and was floored to find that the repair cost was going to start at the same price I PAID for the camera. The only way they would be willing to remove the film that was still inside would be if I had it fixed first!I wrote Kodak via email and received as their reply that the camera had only a 1 year warrantee but they were sending me a disposable camera and a coupon ($10) good for another Kodak camera. Had I known that I would be paying over $100 for a camera that would last for only 2 years I would have never purchased it in the first place.Speaking with local repair shops they have advised that the best customer service is with Canon and Olympus. My next camera will be from one of those two. I doubt I will ever consider any Kodak camera in the future.

5-0 out of 5 stars Well worth the extra processing fees
This is by far the best little camera I've owned. After losing my Pentax in a burglary, I searched for a compact, versatile replacement and decided, after reading the reviews, on the Advantix C750.I've taken about 8 rolls of film so far and been delighted with the results. Outdoor shots are perfect and I love being able to decide before each shot whether I need panoramic or "family" sized prints or just "regular" prints. The only photos which haven't been quite up to par are telephoto indoor pictures in less than great lighting ... these turned out somewhat grainy but I'm being very picky here. The compact sizing encourages me to carry the camera wherever I go.Even though the film and processing are a little more than with regular cameras, I am so pleased with the APS results that I still think it's a bargain.Although there are a great many "menu" features available, such as deciding right before the shot how many prints you will want of it, and adding a title right then and there, for most people the simplicity of use is what will appeal. It's pretty much idiot-proof, especially as the film winds itself on and off - no slipping possible. I highly recommend this camera for every day use. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great, user friendly camera
I've had a great experience with the Advantix F620.My favorite feature is it prints the date on the back of each photo. The zoom is awesome, and it has an auto shut-off if you forget and leave the camera on.

3-0 out of 5 stars Good
I got this camera on sale so especially for the price I paid I feel like it's a great little camera. The picture quality is generally good, and it has quite a few features and it's user-friendly in every way. The only thing that it has done to bother me is get a little fuzzy on long-distance shots when you're using the zoom (w/o the zoom they're clear and close up zoom shots are very clear). But a higher speed film (at least 400) seems to minimize that problem. I am looking for a new camera b/c I want a more powerful zoom, but I will continue using this one as well, especially outdoors, for the panoramic mode.

1-0 out of 5 stars Annoying delay
Do not try to capture things that move - like kids. You push the button at the perfect moment and the camara takes the picture at least a full second afterwards.By that time the perfect moment is gone.I have so many pictures of my kids looking away because of this.Don't waste your money. This camara is terribly flawed! ... 5-0 out of 5 stars PERFECT.
I am a teenager who loves to take pictures.I love photography and just casual pictures with friends. This camera was a christmas present last year and has surpassed my expectations.I can take amazing pictures to wow everyone with. The multiple settings make it easy to capture every sort of pictures.I have the 256mb memory card.On the highest setting I can take atleast 180 pictures. The lcd screen is quite large.I love being the envy of all of my friends with this masterpiece. The only negative thing I can say about this camera is the fact that its a bit bulky for carrying to school and everything.

5-0 out of 5 stars Exactly what we were looking for
We LOVE this camera so far! We've had it for about a week--it replaces our old dead camera and so far it's perfect. My fiance uses it for point-and-shoot, and he's explored the functions a little (see our submitted photo of the aquarium), and I use all the manual settings and functions.I love that it has a rechargable battery... we used to spend so much money on AAs for our old camera! The screen is nice and big and so are the photos... who needs more than 3x optical zoom?!Our prerequisites for buying a new camera were that it had to have a large screen, large photo size (MPs), and video with audio, and our Z760 has all of that.We also got a refurbished one, so the price was right too!

5-0 out of 5 stars Good Camera

2-0 out of 5 stars Good pictures, when it focuses. Flimsy body
Pros: A lot of pictures turn out well, and its fun to make the little videos, especially when you can't afford a video camera, (or a new still camera, either, should this one wear out!)I put 'Amaryllis' in the gallery. Around 6-10 feet distance is safest. Cloud pictures: not bad.
4-0 out of 5 stars WORKS GREAT
I've owned my camera for 3 years. Still works great. However, sometimes a few pictures can be blurry. Also one day I woke up and my screen was broken on the inside when it was stored and packed correctly. Though it did have a warranty and kodak fixed it for free. Now I have to buy a new battery door for it because the metal piece for electricity conduction fell off! That small piece is nearly $30! All in all, works great. Its been a member of the family. This camera doesn't have a double/triple flash like newer digital cameras that provide higher quality.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent camera For Excellent Price!
I dont know what ALL you people DO with your cameras! Battery Door falling off, doesnt take good night pics.... and so on. I have had this camera since 2004 (january) and have taken a TON of pics ever since. My battery door stays shut, has NEVER had a problem, I have NO problem loading the pics onto the computer either. its soooo easy! My lens shutter does stick once in a while, but VERY easy to fix. Doesnt do it very often. You want a good but Affordable camera, this is the one to get! This is my first one, and probably my last. If something ever DOES happen, I will spend the money to get another one. Kodak Easy Share Cameras Really ARE easy. I have take pics even in the dark of it snowing and they come out GREAT.
