Longest videotape you can buy
I was going on a two-week vacation, and so I needed an extra-long tape to record my favorite shows.My 8-hour tape was not going to cut it, so I decided to try this new digital tape.
Does what it says but even more atrocious value proposition
The JVC DF420AU D-VHS tape does exactly what it proposes: given a properly set up D-VHS VCR, it makes perfect pixel by pixel copies of HDTV. I cannot see any difference between live and recorded high definition TV when I use these and a firewire connection with my HM-DH40000. You can also tape SVHS or VHS formats on this tape, and those formats come out quite nicely as well.

i love these tapes to death their super durabable and if you dont own an d-vhs machine their compatible with S-VHS vcrs's and the recordings on those are stunning crisp cleap pictures.

BN-VM200U1500mAh Li-ion canlast only 25min for video recording
I had just bought 1 JVCGZ-MC500U with battery BN-VM200U. Suppose this battery can last for more than 1 hour for continue viedo recording. It give me a suprise that full charge of this GZ-MC500U can only last for 25 min and show no power after that.
Essential add-on
I bought this battery as a spare for the Everio MC500. It is an exact duplicate to the one that ships with the camera. Battery life is about 40-55 minutes depending on how much zooming and video playback you do. I believe having an extra battery is more important than an extra micro-drive if you can't afford both at once. You can always delete unwanted video clips from the micro-drive to save space. An extra battery allows you to shoot video freely without worry of running out of power.

Great Accessory - but...
Ordered from Amazon in December - 2 months later they were out of stock. A month after that, the web site said 'available soon'. It's now mid-May, and they still can't tell when it will ship. So be prepared for a LONG wait!!!

If you own a DV500, DV800, or DV2000, or a JVC camcorder with the info-shoe mount, you need this flash.The camcorder takes excellent shots with the flash.I don't know how you could live without one. Bring out the digital camera within!
