5-0 out of 5 stars The fun of it is the most important part
I definately love this camera. It's incredibly fun and gratifying to get your pictures developed a minute after you take them, and this camera in all honesty isn't meant to be professional. If you want professional quality go buy an slr or a digital. This kind of camera should be purely considered for enjoyment. Yes it is heavy but not in a way that makes it uncomfortable--it's bulk makes it nostalgic. It has very basic camera features and is one of, if not the, easiet camera i've ever used--just shove the film in and go.The camera takes decent quality pictures and tends to put a slight sepia tint on them when taken inside, but i consider that a cool trademark effect. The features of this camera include a lens that can be slid over to take closer pictures, a sliding numberless aperture setting, built in flash, and a button that lets you control the use of your flash. The only drawback is the fact that you can't take pictures closer than 2 feet (like all polaroid cameras). The lens of the camera also makes ojects closer to the camera larger in proportion to ojects farther from the cameraon the prints but it's not incredibly noticable. Overall, I enjoy it very much and would whole-eartedly recommend it for anyone.

4-0 out of 5 stars A Handy Cam
This is a nice camera for those quick instant photos you want of people. However the size of it is large and the photos aren't exactly TOP quality. It's nice to have for those quick shots to show right away. The actualpicture aren't something you put in a scrapbook or picture book, but Iwouldn't buy this camera for those reasons. These pictures are ment forthe refrigerator or a bulliten board to look at on your way out or forquick viewing.Thats why I like it because the pictures are nice to lookat, but they're not priceless pictures that you treasure. So in conclusion,I would highly recommend this camera for fun and quick purposes.

3-0 out of 5 stars Oops... I dropped it again
This camera feels like hold a huge sandwich. This thing almost slipped out of my hands when I was tired, but the bad thing was when the retailer swept the dust off the camera to show it to me. And then BANG! he took a picture of me when I least suspect it. The flash stunned me for a while...Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars my first lomo experience
i stumbled across these lomo cameras on the amazon.com website.they sounded fun so i ordered this particular camera.wow! i was pleasantly surprised with the different effects you can achieve by "shooting from the hip".definately use 400 or 800 speed film and definately take it everywhere you go.the case of the camera does seem like a cheaply made camera but WAIT UNTIL YOU SEE THE PICTURES THAT YOU WILL GET. definately worth the money and i will definately order more lomo specialty cameras....got my eye on the fisheye camera! ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Polaroid Mio Film
I love this camera. I think it's a cute idea and fun for parties, etc. I'm not really here to talk about the camera, but give some hope to those who like using this camera as much as I do. I used mine a few times and then discovered that both the film and the camera were not being made any longer. After sending Polaroid a nasty email I decided to research. I FOUND FILM THAT WILL WORK IN IT!!! Fuji makes the same format camera as the Mio, which they call the Instax Mini. The Film is available in Europe and Asia (not the US unfortunately - probably because of Polaroid) - but anyway.... I have found some online through shops and ebay (search internationally on ebay). I got some, tried it out and it works!!!It's the same film format and packaging! Keep buying the film from Fuji so they don't stop making it!!!!!!!

1-0 out of 5 stars Film No Longer Manufactured
One star only because you can't get film anymore.Polaroid quit making the film.
5-0 out of 5 stars In response to Dreed
Since when did cameras come stocked with film? When you purchase a 35mm Camera does it come with film? NO. When you purchase a Medium Format Camera, does it come with film? NO.

1-0 out of 5 stars Buy a lot of film because half of the pics will underexpose
Some pictures don't come out at all, some come out ok, and some have to of one person's face.

1-0 out of 5 stars Most expensive bad photos EVER
If I could rate this product with a zero I would.I purchased this item, with 11 rolls of film, for our wedding reception so guests could have someone take a snapshot of themselves and put in the guest book with their well-wishes, a great idea I have seen work wonderfully at other receptions.Except that I chose the joycam instead of the standard polaroid - BAD CHOICE!First of all the camera was difficult to operate and people had trouble with the film jamming, etc.Because the film had been taken out of the boxes to put out on the guest book table none of it is returnable - and byt he time we returned from our honeymoon and had any time to contend with the issue, the whole lot had been in our hands for more than 30 days thus unreturnable.Basically, don't ever buy this product, or any other product by polaroid that isn't it's basic one-step instamatic...just a huge waste of time and money and hugely dissapointing if you are planning to use it for a once in a lifetime event at which it breaks after just a few shots.

4-0 out of 5 stars Joycam- what fun!
I just got a Joycam, and think it is great fun. Its a fairly big camera, but not at all compared to other polaroids. Its still small enough to take out with you anyhow. And If you've never had a polaroid (I haven't) its great fun to watch the photos developing too. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Poor quality - color, lighting almost everything!!!
This camera is not worth a penny. I cant think of anything else to describe it. The color, image and lighting came out blurry and unclear. I would not recommend this item at all. Spend a little extra money on another good quality of polaroid camera. If there were negative ratings, this camera definitely belonged to that range.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great depending on what you're using it for
Sure, the picture quality isn't nearly as good as a 35mm.Sure, the film is expensive and you only get ten exposures.5-0 out of 5 stars One of the Best Polaroids
I've used Polaroid cameras off and on since the Swinger came out in the 60's.I've had the SX-70 and the One Step. The Polaroid One is by far the easiest to use.The LCD film counter on the back is easy to read and the pictures are clear. The camera takes type 660 film or even takes type 779 professional film for better colors and better clarity. The camera is solidly built, fits into your hand comfortably and is easy to carry thanks to a two position hand strap.Polaroids have always been fun cameras. This one is no exception. ... I recently ordered the above product and am very dissatisifed with the results.Pictures are fuzzy and color is bad.Pictures are so small, regardless which of the two settings I use.2-0 out of 5 stars Not As Good As You Think
I have an older polaroid camera that takes better pictures than this one.One must be careful about the distance between you and the object being photographed.Outdoor pictures seem to be the most problematic. The picture quality just isn't as good or consistent as it should be.

I got this camera as a secret Santa gift last year and I love it.It's great for get togethers. It truly is instant fun!The cost of the film is a bit insane but when you factor in the lack of development fees and immediate satisfaction I manage to rationalize it.I have no complaints about the quality of pictures. They're not the best quality in the world but I am spending about [price]a picture- and that ain't that bad.The only complaint I really have is that on more than one occasion I have accidently hit the button and gotten a picture of the sky or driveway setting me off in a fit but that's about it. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Coupons???
hello, i have been a faithfull customer ofpolaroid for many years but this is my first time to ever visit this site on polaroid cameras and film. i admit i was only slightly empressed! the products and information given on them were very good and the wonderfull pictures of each item are great also. there is only one reason for my vist, to this site, that made me use my critical judgement, at the beginning of my letter. i dint feel as if this site and/or polaroid did'nt give there all in welcomeing us, the customer. i think that people today, when purshasing from any company but exspecially over the internet,we need to feel as if the company it self cares for there customers and really tries to get on a personal level with them. my advice to polaroid on getting to that personal level would to first start with offering specail offers to them, such as coupons and newsletters. are even a mailing list for them to sign up to. that informs them of different things, for example: special coupons assigned especially for polariod customers, to help them in there perchases with polariod, also maybe a catalog that fully shows and gives exallent details on each item that polaroid offers. i believe strongly this is affective and i am confadent that your company will also. families that are making the most perchases, and even those that seldomly make many perchases, both will be convinced that the order they made from you is of the best qaulity and for those customers that seldom make thoseperchases were helped in there dession to perchase, not only by the qaulity but the way the company went the extra mile. the extra effort given will soon be rewarded. well i hope that my advice to help your company in its coninouse of carring on the success and meeet even higher goals. thanks for listening to my suggestions and i hope you will concider me as one of your first of customers to recieve any mailings on/about disconts and offerings. thank you cassi hetzel3-0 out of 5 stars im selling mine and going back to 35mm
I've had this camera for about a year. It works really well upclose, most of the times. Alot of the times the pictures come out really blurry, which is why I am selling it. I think it has to do with the auto focus and the flash it uses with each picture. In their next camera, they should have an option to turn the flash on and off, because when you use it, it's hard to get the lighting perfect. If the lighting isn't right, it comes out all smudged and blurry. I think for the price of film for this thing, it should have been made better. It has held up really good and all parts work still in the past year. The only problem is the pictures come out blurry too often.

I received this kit for Christmas and was immediately snapping away! The Polaroid offers great color quality, portability, and ease of use. I take mine with me everywhere! The camera itself is very user-friendly. There areicons on the front to tell you which focus setting you need, and guess whatthe big yellow button is for? Also, the film is extremely easy to load. Aclassic. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Picture Time
I got this polariad instant camera for Christmas. I absolutely love it. No more getting film developed. No more paying for development costs. Just take a picture and you have it. This way you know if you like the picture or not and can take another one. If you get it developed, you don't know until it's too late. It is also easy to use. My has a convenient handle on it too. It's to help you hold the camera while taking a picture. ... Read more
