I WILL NOT BUY ANY HITACHI BRAND ANYMORE
I bought Hitachi DZ-MV350A(NTSC). It does show errors a lot for any reason and we couldn't watch on our dvd player after finalized. It wasn't easy to operate and and copy to another dvd-r. I did go crazy to understand how to operate and what to do (even after reading the manual several times).

An extra digital camera not necessary with this baby
While I admit the processing software was slightly annoying initially, we've been completely satified since installation.Being able to store it all on the computer as a secondary back up to the disks is a relief too as disks are too delicate for my tastes as the only means of holding precious keepsake photos and videos.
IT is a Great Camera
I already paid for a sony dvd camera but when I tested it and gave it some beating with the functions,it was so bad.Then the salesman gave me this HITACHI dvd camera.I tried it and tested it.It was awesome and gave it some test too. It was clear and stable.It was worth every penny.Though,some folks still find the brand name Hitachi to be unpopular.If you look at the products of this company it may be considered as high end compared with the more mass or consumer famous brands.I will give this camera a grade of 5. I did not regret returning the sony and paying more for this camera. It was very worth it.

The worst thing I have ever bought.
This is the worst camcorder ever. It is not easy to download or burn it. But you can watch your video only on camcorders LCD(nowhere else). I returned it back. It was releaf. I will not buy any Hitachi brand anymore.

Extremely disappointing!!
The camcorder itself is reasonably user-friendly, compact and lightweight...but BEWARE!!!The software that comes with it is absolutely worthless if your computer isn't old as dirt!And don't expect any help from Hitachi - you'll never get a response from anyone.Many great memories are now going to be lost thanks to this joke of a camcorder/software package.We're going to sell this piece of junk and get a REAL camcorder from a REAL company like Sony.

Best way to lose your movies

After 40,000 shots, 2 cameras, and 1.5 years
After 40,000 shots, 2 cameras, 1.5 years and many drops, this chip still performs perfectly.I've used it heavily and aggressively and have had a great experience at a great price.Its almost as fast in write speeds but slower in read speeds during computer upload.There are some myths about the chip that its slow and fragile, which I'll explain below is just totally wrong.
4gb Card for Nikon D70
Card was brand new and I really liked the enclosed reader.It had a flexible cord and works better on my laptop than the original.Excellent buy.

There goes my last set of pictures.....
Used it with my Rebel XT for several days while moving into our new house. Verified that both my Macbook Pro and my PC would read the card (they both did). Took about 700+ pictures, transfered the card to a Lexar Firewire CF Card reader and...wait...where did all my data go? The drive blew its partition out. The Rebel wouldn't even write to it anymore.
