Editorial Review

Ideal for personal use or a home business, the HP 825C combines a variety of features with an economical price. Average print speeds are 6.5 ppm (pages per minute) for black text, and 4.5 ppm when using colored inks. With either format, your documents receive crisp definition through the 600 x 300 dpi resolution and thermal inkjet print method. It's ready for letter-, legal-, and executive-size paper, as well as transparencies, envelopes, greeting cards, photo paper, and labels. The paper tray can hold up to 100 sheets of standard paper or 30 envelopes at a time. Weighing in at just 12 pounds, the printer is sized to be especially convenient where space is at a premium. It connects to your system via a USB port and is compatible with Microsoft Windows 98, 2000, and Me. Hewlett-Packard offers a 90-day warranty covering parts and service. ... Read more

I recentrly bought this product because my old printer broke down and needed to be replaced. I was amazed by the good quality of this printer. I say it's worth every cent and more, since the price is unbelivable. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Works great for the money
Wasn't the easiest to setup (not sure if it was me or printer), but once I did that it has been working perfect!Makes funny noise when getting ready to print, but then zips out the copies and in the right order (not backwards)!Would have given it 5 stars if the set up had gone easier.

1-0 out of 5 stars I took it back
I found this printer to be frustrating and unresponsive. The scan feature worked all right, but the printer itself had lots of trouble communicating with my Gateway computer. It got stuck as much as it printed.I would never recommend this product, though I find HP to be generally reliable and a quality product.I think this one fell through the cracks. ... 3-0 out of 5 stars HP 935 Experiences
I have owned this camera for approximately 2 1/2 years, and my experience has been very frustrating.Rarely do I get a good picture when using the zoom (very noisy).I have also experienced many problems with taking pictures indoors, and in low light. The most frustrating problem is that I can take multiple photos of the same scene with the same settings and get different results (some light, some dark, contrast inconsistencies, color inconsistencies).I have also experienced the battery drain problems that other reviewers have reported, but have had great results using Lithium batteries.About have the time, the camera gods smile, and the camera takes a great picture, but I've lossed two many precious moments to take another chance.Time to get a new camera.

3-0 out of 5 stars The Great and the bad
I really love this camera.I got it two years ago for christmas, and I can't explain how much I love this thing! The only problems I have are that its impossible to take pictures indoors.Like at a concert or graduation or something like that. And the battery life sucks. But if you purchase rechargable batteries, it works much better.

1-0 out of 5 stars Worst digital camera.... ever
I bought this camera at Sears about a year ago. It was origionally listed as $353 but I ended up getting it for only $118. This camera has MANY cons and hardly any pros.

1-0 out of 5 stars Bad, bad, bad
I used this printer twice and kept getting "paper jam" although there was no paper in the printer.Had to send the product back.Wouldn't buy another.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good bargain, good pictures
Since I got my digital camera I'd just been saving everything to CD and not printing anything out because printing through a website gets so expensive!I'd rather just have my own little printer, as long as the prints are good. The prints from this are great, and although they smudge if you don't allow them enough time to dry, they are good quality.I can't speak to fading yet, because I've only had it a month, but so far so good!

4-0 out of 5 stars Does the job as described.
I bought both the HP Photosmart 230 and the Sony DPP-EX5 and both produced a high quality picture.About 98% as good as developed from a service on kodak paper. The 2% represents the finish (which is a bit sticky till it dries) and some pictures come out a hair light (which is actually a good thing if your pics come out dark).Either printer would do the job, I settled on the HP for the name and choices of paper and easy access to many accessories. You won't be disappointed with the results of the printer. It is worth the money. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Mostly Great - Used for 3 years now, but...
I LOVE this printer!I've owned one since a few months after they became available, and bought a camera (HP 618) well-matched to it.Here's the good, the bad, and the ugly - and I've experienced all three but still love the printer enough to be getting a new one right now.2-0 out of 5 stars Don't buy if you have XP as your OS
This printer is terrible if you're running XP. Trouble getting it to operate, problems once you do, and very little help from HP. Good luck even getting the proper drivers to download from the HP site. When it works, pic quality is great...although there are feeding problems once in awhile.

3-0 out of 5 stars Great but can be tricky to set up.
I've had this printer for about 8 months, and I am finally happy with it in general. When I first set it up, it was via parallel connection on a PC running Windows ME. Total set up time was 10 minutes and text and graphics printing was very good. However, loading photo paper, which requires some tricky maneuvers and varies among the different sized papers, is enough to discourage a lot of photo printing, especially on 4" x 6" paper, which uses a separate tray for loading and is finicky on a good day. I then moved the printer to my laptop and tried to set it up via the USB port. This was rougher and required uninstalling the printer and then reinstalling it and selecting USB connectivity. Not a big deal except nowhere does it say to do that; you just figure it out by trial-and-error. The big deal came when I upgraded my laptop's OS to Windows XP. The original driver for ME or even Windows 2000 does not work with XP. Try finding the driver via the HP website and you're in for the run-around of a lifetime. It turns out their FTP site in the U.S. is so overloaded that you'll only be directed to that site at weird, off hours. Otherwise, you're redirected to the Twilight Zone. My success finally came when I located (via a Google search) HP's Euro FTP server, which at midnight here was quite responsive. Quality remains quite acceptable and noise is very good. Ink usage is a bit high, but as I rarely am in the mood to print photos anymore, it's less of an issue. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Hate This Printer!Annoying messages to reset it !!!
I had had two HP printers. Both broke in the same places - where the paper shoots out from the printer; the wings or the "arms" which guide the paper from the printer - both broke easily.
2-0 out of 5 stars Recipe for grief
Until this product, I was a huge promoter of HP printers, but the HP 1215 apparently was designed with little attention to Apple compatibility.Unpredictably it refused to print first in 0S9 and then in 0SX.I'm frankly sick of downloading and reloading new drivers only to find they don't work and/or freeze up my entire computer.Because of this printer I've cleaned off my entire hard drive, lost valuable files and programs, and still wound up with a non-functional machine. It's been in my closet for 6 months, and I'm considerably happier with a new bottom-of-the-line Canon printer.

1-0 out of 5 stars Dead camera and not enough money to get another one
I bought this camera and was so happy with it.I got married about 2 and a half months after I got it.After coming home and downloading the pics to my desktop I turned the camera off because it ATE a set of rechargeable batteries for a snack and burped them back at you.The next time I went to use my camera it would not turn on.I tried to take it back from where I bought it and it was day 91...you guessed it....they won't take it back. After contacting HP they said it would cost $140 to fix this hunk of plastic.....I didn't even pay that much for it.I will NEVER buy HP anything again.I thought they were a good name then a week ago my friends HP laptop literally smoked itself.....filled her whole apartment with smoke...way to go HP!!

1-0 out of 5 stars my HP2200c scanner was junk
After a three days of successful scanning of about 50 photos, my newly purchased HP2200c scanner made a loud pop, and electrical smelling smoke came from it.It was just sitting there and BANG!It made OK scans (I've seen better) but never worked again after the BANG.

5-0 out of 5 stars No review - need help

4-0 out of 5 stars Good product
I bought this camera in May 2004 and it seemed an excellent deal at the time (250 dollars). It takes good photos and it's sturdy. I am now upgrading to one of those credit-card size cameras with 4 MP but my brother is buying the HP from me.
2-0 out of 5 stars Unsatisfied
I was really unsatisfied with this camera- beware- if you buy this camera you will need to buy the docking station and a camera card- both of which DO NOT come with it. You will need these items to use this camera often. This camera is not the best of what is out there but it gets you by. Wish I waited to buy something else- most other digital cameras are smaller now, come with more and hold more pictures.
1-0 out of 5 stars Disappointed with this model
I too picked this model on the positive reviews.I bought it in May of 2003 along with an HP photo printer. In August 2003, a few days before my vacation, it just stopped working.HP tech support was excellent got another right out to me.Now April 2004, it did it again. It worked one day, batteries went dead, I charged them and can't get it to turn on again. Tech support was great another one is coming. However, my 1 year warranty is up in May and I am on my 3rd camera! They will give me 90 dayson the 3rd one and that is it.I am going to have to buy their extended warranty program through HP because I fear in 3-6 months, it won't work again.I expressed my concern and I wanted to upgrade to a newer model and pay the difference. They don't have anything to offer for this one. Something is wrong with this series. On the other hand, the printer has been great. ... Read more

The PhotoSmart C200 is a relative breakthrough in its market--it's a name-brand, quality digital camera at a price that puts it in the reach of most consumers. It boasts a good top resolution, a color LCD display, point-and-shoot operation, and a lens system with a macro mode for extreme closeups. It uses removable, reusable CompactFlash memory cards, and comes with an 8 MB card that can hold up to 80 photos. The C200 also offers a 2x digital zoom and a built-in automatic flash. It includes everything you need to transfer your photos to your PC, including basic image-editing software. The Hewlett-Packard PhotoSmart C200 is compact enough to rival traditional point-and-shoots for portability. Overall, it's a great way to try out digital photography without draining your wallet. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Great, hard working camera!
I have purchased five of the HP C200 cameras over the past few years - one for each member of the family plus a spare to keep in the car. They are easy to use, feel more like a "real" camera than some lightweight digitals, and are very sturdy. Using highest resolution the photos print out great.(I send to Wal-Mart so not expensive either.) I highly recommend this camera; of course, I don't think it's produced any more!
