Use to be a good value
I ordered this same cartridge in June and paid $13.68. It was a good price and I was happy with the product. When I went to reorder today, it was $18.40. It went up almost $5.00 for the same cartridge in 3 months. I think I'll check out my local office supply store instead. They still sell it for about $14.50.

Nothing beats the origianl Epson Ink. I got cheap and decided to buy some of those aftermarket inks and it messed up my printer fortunately, epson fixed it and now I am back to using the original ink and couldn't be any happier.

Epson P-2000 Multi-Media Viewer
I received this item in the mail about 3 weeks ago and i have thoroughly enjoyed it.I picked this up so that on my 2 week trip out of the country, i would not have to lug around a lot of heavy electronic equipment (i.e. laptop, chargers, etc...) in addition to my camera, lenses and flash cards.As travelling by air has gotten a lot more challenging.this little item will afford me nearly 40 gigs of storage for my RAW images and JPEGS.I can shoot whatever i want and not have to worry about running out of room on my flash cards.A note though.Most reviews state that it takes about 1-3min to download a CF card full of pictures.i have found that if you have a lot of RAW images, then, it takes quite a bit longer.it took nearly 20-24 min to download my 4 gig card.So, i still have to bring my charger and Voltage converter for Europe.
Needs some improvement, but what an awesome device!
I've been a professional photographer for about 20 years, but I did have a hiatus in that span in which photography fell by the wayside. I've gotten back into the craft and for the most part, I have kissed film goodbye - and I would have bet my left arm that would never happen. I just bought a new digital outfit to begin my new venture into the photo biz and asked an acquaintance who is a freelance photographer and who is sent on assignment by such publications as Time & Life. Brand Name or Generic Inkjet cartridges?
Sometimes generic brands of products are just as good as the brand name- and they cost less in most cases.When it comes to inkjet cartridges for my Epson printer I have found that the Epson brand is much better than the "substitute" brands I have tried. a story worth telling
I wanted to make a children's book for somebody, using my own artwork, scanned into my computer with my own text.I downloaded the software but was disappointed that it did not leave me the freedom to compose my own layouts, but rather had a strict format that had to be used. You could use your own photos, but with somebody else's layout design. So the software was of absolutely no use to me.The book comes with glossy paper, so you can make 20 photo pages that are blank on the back side. That was useless too. I never used the paper. Also, I couldn't get the printer to accept 8 by 10 rather than 8.5 by 11.5 paper. I ended up buying double-sided matte paper, printing on both sides and having a 40-page book. I couldn't get the cover to print straight either, so I finally printed my cover design on a piece of glossy paper and glued it on. It looks nice, but I essentially paid the money for the book alone. The software and paper were a waste. I wish the company would make software that can be used by us more creative types for a book of our OWN design. I also wish Epson would make a 25-page book, so I could make a 50-page story.

The idea of this book is great, but there is no room for creativity whatsoever.If a page has space for 11 photos, you have to put in 11 photos.If you like the layout, but only want to put in 9 photos, it won't adjust itself.If you're supposed to put a date somewhere, there is no room for more characters than a date would require, and it is not adjustable.You want to move a photo up a bit, out of luck.I got so frustrated using their software, that I will be doing most of the layout work (except the cover) in Adobe Illustrator, which is obviously more flexible, but will require more of my time.This is for someone who likes to be told how to design their custom-designed book.

Very simple to use, good results
Storyline can be created easily. Captioning is easy. Took about 3 hrs to put togther a 20 page storyline, caption and print the pages. Ability to zoom and pan photos is useful. The resulting book looks very good and vibrant.

Great cartridge

Easy to use, but incredibly limiting
This kit is neat; I have to admit that.It comes with all the materials needed to make a nice little coffee table book.However, the kit itself is a little pricey considering that A) there's only 10 pages, B) the pages are only 5 x 7, and C) the pages are not double-sided.The software included, although as simple and easy-to-use as can be, is so limiting, it doesn't actually feel like you have made this book yourself.Instead, it's as though you're in preschool, bringing in the pictures and having Teacher put it together for you.You can arrange different page setups for different themes as you please, but there is seldom the precise one that you really want.It doesn't help that half of the themes have these cutesy "scrap book" elements that look absolutely ridiculous.
I've bought several
I enjoyed using this kit. It creates a very nice, hardbound book to share with friends and family. My teenager has used a couple of these to make school projects. The teachers gave her excellent grades each time, so it was money well spent. The software is very easy to use, although you will find that you are trapped in their templates. You can't do much to change them if you want a bigger font, for instance. However, the templates are quite good, so this isn't as negative as it might seem.
