4-0 out of 5 stars Way overpriced.
Very overpriced compared to exact model here in Erlangen, De ( that's here in Germany.) The photo shop here in the mall is selling them brand new for 369 Euro ( 1 euro = $.93 US.)

5-0 out of 5 stars It is a camera for professional
I think the pro 70 is very good digital Camera,if you want to take some simple picture for your trip or party, you should select a small size, and cheaper one, because this one is a big one, and it is heavy, BTW, it needan extra flash light, no internal flash.5-0 out of 5 stars OUTSTANDING !
I found this camera very easy to use right out of the box. One thing I see was not mentioned was its capability of using the new IBM micro drive avaiable in 170 or 340 mb . I have the 340 mb and it will hold 928 high res pictures !It would be great for a vacation or other high capacity needs.this drive is pricey ($ 499.00), but the capacity is worth it ! I highlyrecommend this camera ! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Best so far
The Cannon S10 was the first digital camera I have ever owned, having bought it close to two years ago. I decided to up-grade to a higher megapixal camera so a few days ago I bought the Minolta 404. I wanted a camera that I could add audio to the pics so I would know when I downloaded the pictures what pictures they were.Seen one mountain, seen them all but which is which? I figured the added audio would solve that problem. Second, I wanted a camera that was small enough to carry on my belt but able to shoot short movies, like when you see wildlife walking. So I spent big bucks, bought the Minolta 404 took some pictures with it at the settings I have my Cannon set to and was very disappointed in the quality of the pictures.I just arrived home after returning the Minolta 404. 5-0 out of 5 stars Best so far

4-0 out of 5 stars AS PORTABLE AS IT GETS
Pros: pocket sized, sturdy aluminum clad body, largest optical zoom in the Canon Elph-based series 5-0 out of 5 stars Canon A50 Excellent Camera, Poor support from Canon.
I have been waiting a long time to buy a really good digitalcamera that I can afford. I got the A50 for $399.00 plus I got a 16meg compactflash card as a bonus in addition to the 8meg card. I was surprised by the excellent pictures I get with the Canon A50. Compares to 35mm SLR cameras. Also it is very easy to setup and use. I was disappointed in the lack of support from Canon. I asked where I can find accessories online, they told me to call an 800 number and order from them. The dk110 power supply kit does not exist and I am beginning to wonder if it ever will. I have looked around for the 2cr5 battery and found a range in price from $6.95 all the way up to $19.95. So shop around. The dumb outfit that wanted $6.95 also wanted $13.95 for shipping. Average price is $9.95. Meanwhile, I won't use the LCD very much. Camera gets 5 Stars for quality, Canon gets 1 star for lack of support. I'd still recommend this camera to all inspite of Canon's poor support.4-0 out of 5 stars great camera, great software
I love the camera. It's great for a snapshot camera and has some useful manual functions (flash off, exposure compensation, slow shutter).Another great feature is the Mac software that comes with it-- TimeTunnel. This isawesome. You plug in the camera (or in my case, put the CompactFlash cardinto a PCMCIA adapter and into the slot in my PowerBook) and upload thephotos into this easy-to-use and very well designed program. You can zoomthrough thumbnails of all of your photos, arranged on a spiral thing whichclasses them by date. When you click on a thumbnail, you get all the infoabout it (date, shutter speed, aperture, file size, etc) and when youdouble click it opens the full size image. You can easily "send"any image to another program, such as the included Adobe PhotoDeluxe, orbetter yet, Photoshop.Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Poor quality and terrible customer service
If possible, I would have given the camara some negative stars.
4-0 out of 5 stars Good camera after getting around a few weak points.
I have one of these in my glove box and use it all the time. My other Camera is a G2 and admit the G2 is far better than the S20. As most will agree the battery is flat too soon to trust for more than 20 mins. I've built some Li-ion batteries for this camera and solved the problem. I now can run almost 3hrs. beforea charge in needed. Canon made a big mistake powering this with 5 AAA Ni-MH cells, should have been the Li-ion's like my G2. The G2 goes forever on a charge and the Li-ion batteries hold a solid charge with a very low rate of static dicharge.1-0 out of 5 stars Everything Wrong!

5-0 out of 5 stars This Looks Great!
This camera looks amazing, not that I will ever have the money for it.
4-0 out of 5 stars Best (compromise for an) Exploration Camera
I had been waiting 3 years for any manufacturer to market a camera similar in specification to the Canon EOS1. As exploration Health, Safety & Environment advisor, work takes me to middle of the desert or the oceans. The wait was for 35mm film quality, with speed of picture taking (5 frames per second is barely enough to capture dolphins - hence the 8 + fps of the EOS 1 was desired). There was a parallel wait for an Image Stabilised 28-300 zoom lens.
5-0 out of 5 stars Series 1 from Canon, Enough Said!!
I just upgraded from a 20D, and the speed just blows the 20D out of the way!! Image quality runs about the same for both cameras since they're both 8.2MP, but how the camera gets you those images is simply amazing. Fastest shutter out there, low noise, consistent color, spot metering, multiple spot metering, weather sealing, the list goes on and on!! This camera demands the best glass, but you won't be sorry.

5-0 out of 5 stars High quality pictures
Clueless to the world of digital cameras, I knew that I wanted one that was easy to operate but high quality. After tons of online research I decided on the PowerShot A10.I LOVE my camera. It's easy to use, takes great pictures and the printer prints out high quality pics.I've taken this camera to baseball games and printed out action shots right then and there. However, the 8mb CF card this comes with is pretty worthless--only takes about 15 pics before it gets full.I bought a 256mb Dynacare CF card...and can now take upwards of 500 pics before it gets full.I highly recommend this camera for anyone!

5-0 out of 5 stars ONE OF THE BEST ENTRY-LEVEL DIGITAL CAMERAS OUT THERE!!!
The canon powershot A10 is an amazing camera for the price. It has features that the more expensive cameras have, but is one of the most user-friendly digitals I have used. A plus for this camera is that it uses common AA bateries. You can take about 200 pictures before replacing the batteries. This is the perfect camera to make the analog to digital jump. This camera also comes with some very handy software. With the included printer this is a must have for any level shutterbug!!!! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars 11 Mega Pixels is not a random number!
I've recently learned some interesting detail that came from a talented amateur photographer.A friend of mine from work, had done a number of spectacular scenic shots. He thought to enter some of the better ones into a professional competition. While he had a good Cannon digital, (I believe it was a 7 or 8 mp) requirements for digital are 11 mp minimums. While expanding the lower resolution is allowed, it would still fall a bit short (since it only allows a certain percentage). It seems that professional film use cameras, typically deliver the equivalent of 20 mp. The proper film is expensive, and getting it developed is not as easy as taking it to the local Photomat.
5-0 out of 5 stars If you don't want to limit your creativity ... this is it.
After years of being a very faithful Sony user (I still like Sony and their products) I finally did the big leap, as in my mind the technology is finally there ... I bought a Canon EOS-1Ds 11.1 Megapixel camera body. Out of necessity I had to buy a set of EF lenses as well. I spent this years toy budget on just one purchase, but then THIS IS NOT TOY!5-0 out of 5 stars Prosumer
I have shot 35mm for 30 years and paid for the best prints from the best labs and they just can't compare with high end digital prints. The detail goes way beyond 35mm and easily challenges medium format.I am still learning color manipulation on the computer and occasionally I get better color from a Velvia slide - which I am now shooting with the same Canon lenses and a 1v body - but overall it is becoming increasingly clear that film is as dead as video tape and vinyl records.I traded up to the 1Ds from a D60, which also produced prints much better than 35mm.The drawback to the D60 was a poor autofocus and a less than full frame sensor, which limits the use of wide angle lenses for landscape photos. The 1Ds solves those problems and potentially makes larger format cameras obsolete at the same time.Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars A great start to an awesome line of 35mm SLRs
When buying a SLR camera, you likely intend to purchase additional lenses and/or flashes to build a system (if not, maybe a point and shoot would be better).Canon has an awesome line of flashes, lenses, and other accessories for their bodies.Sadly they all add up to quite an expense, so buying a body at the lower end, such as this one, can allow you to spend more on lenses, which ultimately contribute much more to the final product (only your own abilities exceed them in impact). The difference between this body and some of Canon's higher end ones is minimal for most users (bodies costing 2-4 times as much are metal, sealed from the weather, and may focus quicker, but few really need any of this). This camera leaves few feautures out (especially when compared to competing brands' cameras in this price range), and you can build a wonderful system around it.If you ever do develop a need for a fancier model, you will have learned a whole lot from this body and will have a collection of lenses and flashes to continue to use.

I was very happy with this package deal, because it came with a better len's 27-90mm( Nice Close ups!), Camera bag, 2 batteries, cleaning kit, Mini tripod, and a role of film! On top of that it was free to ship! The camera itself is beautiful, a nice step up from my stolen Rebel G! ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Zoom Delight
The Canon Pro 90IS Digicam has basically been everything I wanted in a "Super Zoom" all-in-one SLR style camera. The Image Stabilized 10X Optical Zoom is great and has given me opportunistic shots that I would have missed either due to the need for a tripod mounted shot with my A40 or acceptance of a blurred image! Focusing problems, slow lag times and short battery life have been a few problems I'm learning to overcome. Even though it was discontinued,I still made the purchase for the overall features and have obtained some great pictures.Although most of my picture portfolio (torretab) was taken with the Canon A40, my Pro90 gallery can also be seen at Webshots.5-0 out of 5 stars This cameras astounding!!!
I recently recieved this camera and i love it! I prevouisly owned an Olympus D-360L, which was a great first camera. This camera is an amazing upgrade. The only negative, that i have encountered, and it is not a big one, is slow start up time from when you first turn on the camera to when it acutally starts working. The zoom is great, the features are easy to use and the battery is long lasting. The dials that control the camera make it much easier to change between features then on cameras with complicated menus. I purchased a 64 mb. card, which also increases this cameras versitility. I love this camera, and it takes great pictures. I also use it wiht a P-400 printer, and the prints look great. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars too many blurry photos
I have two of these cameras, the silver one and the bronze. The bronze one takes blurry photos 50% of the time.I thought it was defective. Now the silver one takes blurry photos also. Piece of crap! I guess the shutter speed is too slow. There is no way to adjust any settings on the Menu to prevent this.Skip this camera.

3-0 out of 5 stars Small and decent, but no longer a good buy
I bought this when it first came out a couple of years ago.At the time it was the smallest 4MP out there, and since my goal was to go "small," i decided that i could live without an optical zoom. While it served me well, I will tell anyone now that we all need optical zoom.Photographic quality is good, though there are sometimes too much chromatic aberration (color fringing).Focus indoors can be slow or impossible, even with flash turned on.
