3-0 out of 5 stars Great for Outdoor Photography, Questionable indoors.
I have owned this camera for nearly 2 years now and I can honestly say that it is a good camera for general use but with a few caveats.
5-0 out of 5 stars FANTASTIC CAMERA BUY IT NOW!
I absolutely love this camera. I take a lot of personal photos of friends, family, and sunsets ect.. and then frame them for my walls.I was paranoid to switch to a digital camera at first. I bought this camera when it first came out a year ago and if anything was to happen to it I would replace with the same one or possibly there new one.
4-0 out of 5 stars Good Camera, Not So Great Software
My husband purchased this camera for me Christmas 2003.I love to take pictures using my daughter as the subject. This was my first digital camera.I love the quality of the pictures and its ability to capture images in b/w, sepia, color... It is very easy to use. However, the software is not so fantastic. The worst part is that when upgrades to the software become available you have to download them from the computer which takes over an hour.Kodak will not send you a courtesy upgrade cd.I would even pay a few $ for this convenience. They do provide online help where they respond to your email the very next day.I did have loooots of problems with this software and I am familiar with technology.I was impressed when I found out that other lenses could be purchased (I guess it is sort of a SLR camera a little...).I turned off the lights and took a picture of my daughter with her lighted jack-o-lantern for Halloween and took a picture using the night vision and it was so clear, you would have thought that the lights were on.Overall, good camera, not so sure about the software. ... For maximum print quality at a minimum price, look no further than the DX3700. With most manufacturers, camera resolution and features go hand-in-hand: basic point-and-shoot models typically come with low-resolution image sensors, while high-resolution cameras are packed with bells and whistles that add to the product's price and complexity. The DX3700 is different. It's a basic point-and-shoot with few advanced features, but its sensor is a high-resolution 3.1-megapixel model for sharp prints at 8 by 10 inches and beyond. If you're looking for an affordable camera that captures sharp, detailed digital snapshots, the DX3700 is a great choice.Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent, Simple Point & Shoot Camera!
For those who want good pictures but don't want a large learning curve or alot of buttons to have to push...The KODAK CX7300 is the Winning Ticket! Super Ease Of Use without sacrificing quality! What more could you possibly ask for out of a digital camera. And this amazing camera also takes video! You get the Kodak Name and their Imaging Science Technology that many rave about. Don't waste your money with sophisticated features or a Non-Name Brand...get this camera instead. I HIGHLY RECOMEND!

1-0 out of 5 stars Don't Buy This Camera
Maybe you can take two or three pictures before the battery is dead. The Camera Dock for this camera shows full charge but it still only takes two to three pictures.I use Kodak Rechargeable Ni-MH Battery Pack that came with camera.I replaced it, and it still doesn't work.I sent the camera back to Kodak and they "fixed it".Nothing has changed.I have tried other batteries, to no avail. The pictures aren't really that great, either. The camera and dock are dusty.

1-0 out of 5 stars BUYER BEWARE.
This product is junk. There is no useful purpose to this hunk o' crap. The pictures suck unless you are in BROAD daylight. The flash dosen't work, and even more pitiful, it makes the pictures DARKER when you have it on.The dock sucks- if it breaks (like it did for me) then you are screwed and cannot charge the camera.Additionally, the battery lasts for about 2 pictures and then it dies.If you turn on the LCD screen, you can probably only count on .5 pictures before it dies. This is the worst electronic product I have ever owned and I am sorry I ever bought a Kodak camera.I will never buy one again, nor will I buy another Kodak product, as I am severely disappointed with this one. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Best camera I've owned...
I bought this camera in mid-2004 when it was the latest thing. Nowadays, when 7.0+MP cameras are everywhere at exactly the same price I got it($305.00), I wouldn't change it for anything. It's easy to configure, and the pictures looks great as digital images and printed. I used it mostly to take pictures of band shows, where people moves often under dark places, and pics were always luminous, crisp and expresive. And not to mention outdoor pictures, I did lots of internal touring around the island and pictures couldn't look any better...!
3-0 out of 5 stars Good but some flaws.
I got this camera around two months ago and it is great, except for one flaw. There is something wrong with the flash, it is programmed to be on but there is no flash ever. It ruins the whole picture usually. I need help, or I might as well throw this camera away.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great camera
I've had this camera for a little over 8 months now and i love it!! So far, I have had no problems with it. It is an excellent bargain for price, quality and the various functions. It takes great pics both indoors and outdoors. It also takes decent videos. Battery power lasts long with the Kodak cx7530. I highly recommend it! ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Battery Life is Very Poor
The Kodak DX3600 would be a very nice camera except that battery life is very poor. I'm lucky to get 8 pictures before the batteries go dead (I use rechargeable batteries with the Easy Share dock, and AA Alkalines).[...] Kodak is aware of the problem. Here is their response to my query about poor battery life...
1-0 out of 5 stars Trouble from the start
First - I do have to say that the camera is relatively easy to use and takes very nice pictures. However, the battery life with this camera has been problematic since the first day that we received it. We have used several different batteries, as well as different battery chargers in an effort to rule out other problems. But this camera continued to be a problem. Eventually replaced with a Sony DSC-P93 - and haven't looked back since. Glad to be rid of this camera - very frustrating when you are trying to use a product to record your family's memories, and constantly run into problems with a quirky camera...

4-0 out of 5 stars Kodak DX 3600 a trustworthy camera...
I've had a kodak DX 3600 camera now for about 2 years.I have found that the quality of pictures has been excellent and the video mode is brilliant, as few digital cameras offer video with sound being recorded too.At the start i had battery problems and problems with it powering down unexpectedly but it was sent back to Kodak and it was a faulty connection between the power section and main part of the camera, since then i have had little problems with power, like all didgital cameras they do go through batteries but just be sure to have enough charged up, and the dock it comes withhandily charges the batteries. At 2.2 mega pixels i have found it brilliant, there is brilliant image quality for what i'm using it for and it doesn't take up alot of hard drive space, with the average photo taking up about 400Kb on the best picture quality setting.I would reccemmend this camera. ... The DC4800 is Kodak's first 3-megapixel consumer digital camera. In terms of design, it's something of a departure from Kodak's earlier digital models and more of a return to the look and feel of a traditional film camera. In its default setting, the camera is as easy to use as a point-and-shoot, but numerous manual controls are available for the more advanced user.Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Good though outdated camera
I was using this camera as recently as 6 months ago, though it stopped working when it had the unfortunate luck of shifting in the backseat of my car when traveling, and falling on to the concrete when I opened the door (I've got a new Olympus C5500 now).Anyway, before that, I had the camera for about a year (I got it from a friend who had just bought a really great camera). While this camera is no match for my new Olympus, it was quite a good camera and a good introduction for me into semi-serious digital photography.I had a digital camera called a "JamCam" before this one, but it had few options and rather low picture quality (though for the price and the time when I got it, it was actually decent).
4-0 out of 5 stars great first gen 3MP camera, but it is old now...
I've had this camera for about 3 years now.
3-0 out of 5 stars A good 3.1 megapixel camera, but...
I've had this camera about 18 months. The only thing that I find lacking in this camera is its ability to take indoor flash pictures. Even using the +/- exposure compensater the pics come out under exposed, especially if the subject is more than 5 feet from the lens. Other features work well. I decided to stop fooling with this camera and went for the Canon S50, wow what a difference. Goodbye Kodak, hello Canon. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars very average camera
I bought this camera 3 years back and its a plain simple point and shoot camera with a fixed lens and you cant adjust anything. It has no optical zoom, no video recording, etc. but thats what you pay for. Picture wise the camera shoots beautifully and the colours come out really nice and natural. Its flash is pretty bad with flash shots coming out dark. I have taken decent 6x4 prints even with the lower resolution. The power on/off switch is really horrible and flimsy. It broke after few months of use and I had to get it repaired. After that my computer never recognises the camera and I have to use a card reader to transfer photos.
2-0 out of 5 stars Not Satisfied
At the moment i am very tired, having spent 6 hours trying to update thesoftware to the new Easy share. I have had nothing but trouble since updating to Easy share. I owned a Dx3500 and thena DX3600, whichI was satisfied with until I upgraded the PC to Windows XP. Now I have the latest Kodak LS753, and the software CD included will not install and even when i down load from the net I get a message saying that there is an error. I have checked for virus, turned off all programs etc. and still noluck. I havenever hadsuch problems and I will be certainly returning to the shop with the camera and exchanging it, and I will be lettingeveryone know the problems. I feel so angry that I have wasted so much time.

3-0 out of 5 stars Kodak camera
I bought the Kodak camera and the dock for my wife for Christmas two years ago. It is easy to operate and to load the pics into the camera, but as other reviewers have stated it uses a lot of power. The docking system seems to help to keep the batteries charged. A minor annoyance is that sometimes the shutter does not open when I turn on the camera. I give it a few good whacks with my hand and it will open. Not high tech, but it works. My friend's camera did the same thing and Kodak, with some prodding, fixed it for a modest fee.My wife uses it for work and in general it is a rugged camera.I may upgrade in the future, but for now I will keep it. ... 1-0 out of 5 stars Pray you get a good one
This may be a good product, I wouldn't know.I think I got a defective one (I hope it's defective), but I am returning it, not exchanging.Kodak's tech support is definetly sub-par.I was having trouble with my Palm Pix, so I called Kodak, and after one and a half hour of hold time, I got a live person and got hung up on.I am not about to call back, or take the chance of getting another bad one. I have read about similar experiences on other sites,I have also heard positive ones. I guess if your lucky to get one that works it's great, if not, the experience of trying to get support from kodak will definetly make you think about getting a seperate digital camera from another company.

4-0 out of 5 stars Handy Little Contraption to Have!
I use mine with my Palm M505 (color version) and it is a very useful little tool. Because of it's compact size, I carry it with me in my purse always, and since I go nowhere without my Palm, I always have a camera! During a recent remodeling project at home, my husband and I went on many "exploring" trips to see if we could find just what we wanted for this or that....with the camera, I took pictures rather than just taking notes on where we found something - it was very helpful. Plus the ease of downloading during a sync operation can't be beat!

4-0 out of 5 stars Good basic camera that needs to get back to basics
First of all, let me start by saying that I really like the Palm Pix idea, and I have seen, used, and liked the Palm Pix cameras used on the M100 and the Palm III.Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great little digital camera
This is my first digital camera, so I have no other camera to compare it with, but I think it's a great little camera. For the price, you can't beat its ease of use and the quality of the pictures you get.The dock is not really necessary - you can just hook the camera up to your PC using the USB port. But, the dock does provide easy chargine for the batteries.

4-0 out of 5 stars Nice camera
1. I would like to say that it is a very good product. The picture quality is very good as an entry level camera.Battery life is fairly good with top end batteries, I have also used rechargeable batteries with poor results.I think that I can snap 20 pics with the rechargeable batteries, whereas I can get up to 60-70 with good energizers.5-0 out of 5 stars I liked it so much, I bought 2!
I did a lot of research before buying a digital camera.Wanted to be able to prduce 8 x 10's and scenic pictures, in addition to movie mode.I wanted one for myself, and one for my son, who predicted he would use it only for emailing and eBay...I was prepared to buy him a cheaper camera, but I found this model on Amazon with the dock included, at a price I could only buy the camera for at the stores!Add in the free shipping for the holidays, the great KODAK quality, and the ease of use, and we are very happy! ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Its the best digital camera I have ever used.
It gives absolutely great pictures, great user friendly menu 5-0 out of 5 stars don't leave home without it!
i have owned this camera for about 2 years and have taken thousands of photos with it. i take pics of everything, everywhere i go. pics of my 5 year old son and pics for work (we "trim-out" custom homes). i then download the pics, edit them, make photo groupings. email them to family. print them out and use them as scrapbook pages. i even have a "custom options catalog" to show customers and every photo was taken with this camera. i use the best setting, so i dont get many photos per disk, but i get great photos. and once i edit them with printmaster they still download in email within less than a minute-and that is with my standard 56K dialup connection. i have the 8MB card that came with the camera, plus a 32MB card that i carry for backup. it is so quick and easy that sometimes i take pics, download, edit, email, format the card and start over again in well under an hour. this is a great little easy to use, easy to carry camera that is Always with me!

4-0 out of 5 stars my first and only digital camera
...this is a great camera for the beginner, someone new to digital cameras or an "average" user of cameras in general. even for a 2.1MP camera, it takes great shots. granted, i have nothing to compare it to! uploading photos is easy on winXP, but i couldn't do it on win98; i had to buy a flash card reader.Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars best camcorder under $200
They should call this the MC1 because it's only useful as a camcorder. As a camcorder that is $120, it gets 5 stars. Everything else out there that is <$200 are ALL 10 frames per second. They claim to be cool but are extremely choppy and look like web cams. A TV is 30fps, movie theaters are 24fps and the MC3 is 20fps. Not perfect buy light years ahead of everything else. Yes it has other problems but nothing that the exact other brands don't have too. Face it; this is the best camcorder you are going to get for <$200. If you like choppy web cam action it will record in 10fps and give you 4X more recording. A 16mb card (included) will give you 1:17min @ 20fps, and a 256mb card will give you 20:06min @20fps. You should buy a 256mb card ($60 ebay) and at least 6 rechargeable AAA batteries + recharger ($25) I've spent days trying to find something better than this and still can't. This is the best of a the junk that is out there. If that means anything.

3-0 out of 5 stars Could be better and could be worse
Overall i would have to say this player is an ok device. i mean for the year it came out in (2000) it was the bomb. But now that so many other much kooler products have cam out i definitly would not recomened gettting it now. If you are serching for the same capacitys of the kodak mac3 i would say go for an Archos. It is a little more but also i s alot better. it can play divx because you can download movies stright from your tv or computer. if not the Archos Av 140 then go for the RCA LYRA 20 gb. If your looking for a low quality mc3 player but it gets the job done go for this one.

3-0 out of 5 stars Light is your friend...
The only reason I got this little gadget was it's ability to do motion captures at 20fps. Unfortunately, it really only works in well-lit areas, even though the audio capture is surprisingly good. MP3 works well and image capture is mediocre to bad. But for all these features at under [money], it's actually quite a bargain. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great camera
My first digital camera was a DX3900--great camera.Intuitive and ergonimically sound, worked great--I liked the dock because the NiMH battery would automatically charge and one button transferred pictures.Worked well as a point and shoot and there are stops and adjustments that can be used.
5-0 out of 5 stars Dx3900 - Love it!
Had this camera for a few years now and I ABSOLUTELY love it.
1-0 out of 5 stars Don?t buy this camera
I have had this camera for little more then a year now, and suddenly the camera at times freezes up when you try to turn it off. I tried emailing and calling Kodak for help. After many attempts I was told it will cost $250 to exchange the camera and to forget about servicing it. I did not spend the money on a camera that I can't trust to work after only one year. I will be buying another camera-most likely a Sony I will definitely never buy a Kodak camera again. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Horrid.
I just bought this camera and will return it promptly. The camera is big, bulky and heavy. I found the camera difficult to use as the 1.5 inch LCD screen was too small and not very clear. The photos also came out rather fuzzy; nothing as sharp as my previous Pentax Optio 20 camera. Besides the LCD screen, the camera looks exactly the same as other Kodak film cameras. Neither does it have movie mode.
1-0 out of 5 stars Do Not Buy This Camera
We received this camera from Dell along with the purchase of a new laptop. For the first few months everything seemed to work fine until the battery went down... subsequent efforts at using several types of rechargable batteries only revealed that you can only get about 10 pictures from a freshly charged set of batteries.Increasingly frustrating is that you the photos were also overexposed and blury because I guess the batteries couldn't support the focus motor or something.Anyway, complete waste of money if you ask me.After reading many Amazon reviews I'm even doubting the 3.5 star rating that Amazon carries for this camera... I've seen too many 1's to see anything over a net 2 on this.Futhermore... most of the positive reviews that I've read are written by folks who have only owned the camera for a couple weeks or a few days (not enough time to experience the let down that everyone else is deals with after using the camera for several months).
1-0 out of 5 stars Do Not Buy This Camera
I agree with some of the other reviews regarding the camera being unable to hold a charge. I would charge the battery to its fullest but I can only snap 3 pictures before the camera dies again. I bought lithium batteries for it and the same thing happens. Kodak is no help either. I sent it over to them 3 times and it always comes back unfixed even though they claimed that they fixed it. I got this as a gift and now I feel bad that I have to buy another camera. Kodak SUCKS! ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars KODAK CX7330 - CHARGING ISSUES
I purchased this camera in Dec. 04.I started having charging probelms shortly after.Sent back to Kodak 3 different times before they finally replaced with a refurbished camera. Now having same problem.Camera will not hold charge and will not turn on or shut off shortly after turning on.Customer service in India has been useless.Spent over 7 hours on the phone with them so far.Alleged "consumer advocate" is supposed to help.Should really be called company advocate as Kodak pays him/her not the consumer.

2-0 out of 5 stars Very disappointed!
I agree with Shelly. This camera takes great pictures BUT worked properly for about a month.I sent it back to kodak and they repaired some things and it's malfunctioning again! It is no longer under warranty so I might as well by a new one.It goes off and on by itself, the lens pops out, then back in, its ridiculous. They said for me to use lithium batteries, so that I did, and they do last forever it seems (much longer than rechargable) but its still acting up.I thought I would've gotten a much better camera from kodak.Going to try a different brand next.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great camera/printer for a beginner
Bought this for my eleven year old daughter. She had no problems figuring out how to use the camera. The printer dock is fairly easy to set up and the pictures turn out as good as or better than the local one hour photo places. She has enjoyed taking photos and using the movie mode, too. Even though it's more expensive than a film camera, you save by not having to print all the bad shots. I highly recommend it. I would give 5 stars, but I haven't used the camera/printer myself. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Very Pleased
I have had the Kodak CX4230 for over 3 years. I have had no problem with the camera or the dock. The camera takes great pictures and the sofwear is easy to use. If there a problem. There nothing wrong with camera only as good as the person using it.

1-0 out of 5 stars Why exactly do we need the docking station?
I bought this camera last year and I have not been happy with the results. First the camera (not the user) decides wheather it's going to use the internal or the memory card on any given day. The only way I could get my pictures to save on the memory card is if I hit the side of the camera a few times. Let's just say I misses many of those precious "kodak moments" fooling around with this tempermental camera. The why exactly do we need a docking station? My so-called "charged battery" lasts for a maximum of two hours. We can "easily" transfer the pictures my sticking the memory card in the computer. Once again I think the whole docking station idea is a way for kodak to make consumers think we need to buy yet another accessory to make everything "easy." Most of the pictures I have taken have came out way too dark- even after I changed the flash settings. The camera is getting serviced as we speak to lets see what happens~

2-0 out of 5 stars Good from far...but far from good
I wanted a simple to use camera to take snapshots of the kids around the house.I did not care about printing photos, just wanted to email pics to family and friends.Out of the box, the camera has some cool features such as auto-orientation and the menu is not too hard to navigate. The Kodak software makes the storage and manipulation of the pictures easy, but getting the pictures from the camera to the PC is not so fun.About 75% of the time I have a problem with transferring pictures.Usually a reboot and a disconnect/reconnect of the camera does the trick.I took the camera back after a few weeks and they gave me a replacement and there was no difference. The other part that they do not tell you is that you need to use a SecureDisk card to hold the pictures to make the camera function somewhat normal.Do not rely on the internal memory.Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great First Digital Camera!
We bought this camera from a relative who wasn't ready for the digital age (even though it's extremely simple to use). We've had it for 4 years now and it has never failed us yet!We use it for every function and with our outdoors lifestyle and 2 active little girls, it's been dropped repeatedly with no problems in function--it's tough! The only problem I have with it is the aforementioned battery door problem (which was already broken when we received it) but a thick rubberband has worked wonders and we have no problems with it draining batteries as long as our 3-year old doesn't pull the rubber band off! This is a great camera for a first-time digital camera user and with the Compact Flash card, it holds an amazing amount of photos! We do print ours out and they are just as clear (if not clearer) than a regular 35mm film camera when the digital is set to 'best' so it's really a bargain! This is a great camera folks, we highly recommend it!

5-0 out of 5 stars great bang for the buck, 3 years ago
one of my friends saw this cam for cheap 3 years ago so me and another of our buddies went out and bought the cam. it was our first digi cam and for what it is its great. nothing fancy here, just a simple point and shoot digi cam which produces some pretty good pics. i have took it anywhere and everywhere i have gone, and have always been happy with the pics, a few weeks back i updated to a Panasonic FZ-20, so this Kodak will live its life out in my glove box, never know when a cam will come in handy and this one is great. its rugged and tough so it will with stand the glove box tumbles.

3-0 out of 5 stars Is this a good going out camera?
This camera seems like it is exactly what i'm looking for. I want a small, light, sturdy, high quality camera this is made for going anywhere. I have larger cam with a 10x optical zoom which is fine for 'photography' but i want something for taking high quality quick snaps at the beach, boardwalk, pool, at the bar, or people pics at sporting events.. ;) I see it has quick bootup and low lag but does it do well in low light conditions that you would find in bars? How well does it do with motion if the camera is moving while you snap the pic? Is this the best camera for these conditions?
3-0 out of 5 stars Ehhh, could be better...
I bought this camera as a replacement for my Casio Exilim Ex-Z40. The price was right, all the reviews seemed decent, but I am not nearly as satisfied with this camera as I was with my Casio. I have experimented a lot with this camera and I can never get true-to-life colors with it. People always seem really washed out, and the night picture settings only work if you have a tripod. The pictures are often slightly blurry, plus the battery doesn't last long enough for me. The screen isn't that big, and there are way too many buttons for people other than me to figure out. The only thing I do like about this camera is how good the red-eye setting is. Either way, my next camera will definitely be another Casio, or a Sony.

5-0 out of 5 stars Impressed--it's a Kodak??
I have several digicams, including an expensive Nikon. I was going to get the Canon SD30, but the reviews on the V530 were better. I was initially rluctant, since Kodak has not been a major force in the digital field.
