LOVE THIS LITTLE CAMERA !!
I bought this before Christmas 2 years ago.It is simply a great digital camera for the money.I just returned from a 14 day European trip to Italy, France and Spain, and got some fantastic pictures !!!I also got some great pictures using the NO FLASH and the landscape mode.It is so user-friendly!!I love this camera and will probably purchase Kodak in the future.

Takes great pictures but beware!!!!!
I loved this camera It took great pictures was easy to use and with the dock a sinch to charge the view screen even worked pretty well when it was sunny....I would have given this camera a 5 before I started having problems with it ...first the view screen stopped working but I could still take pictures..then it would only boot up some times...and now it won't turn on at all...actually I take that back the ready light continously blinks red......I have read many other review that have the same problems with this camera....a word to the wise DON'T BUY THIS CAMERA...you're just asking for it!!

Be Careful
Purchased this camera a short time ago. It was the second Kodak DX camera I purchased. Many problems with software, many problems with charging both cameras on the charging dock and the flash on both DX's stopped working. One while in warrenty and the second just out of warrenty. They want $95.00 plus shipping to repair the flash. I don't take a lot of pictures- maybe 50 a year that require flash so I warn others about Kodak cameras especially if you take many pics that require flash. ... Read more

Good quality photos, lacks manual control
I got this camera for Christmas in 2004 after seeing it in the flyer at Circuit City. I was so happy, I had finally gotten a REAL digital camera (previously I had owned a cheap Vivitar 3555 with no optical zoom). As this camera nears the end of it's second year of use, it has sustained little damage unlike others have contested, and image quality is still high above par for a 3 MP camera.
Its all about the battery
3.1 M Pixels is a little low by today's standards, but is adequate for many common uses (web pages and 4x6 prints). This camera takes good quality pictures in most common situations. It could be a great 1st camera for a teenager if it was reliable.

I've had my Kodak for about two years now, and it's been a great little camera, with a few important drawbacks.

PERFECT.
I am a teenager who loves to take pictures.I love photography and just casual pictures with friends.This camera was a christmas present last year and has surpassed my expectations.I can take amazing pictures to wow everyone with.The multiple settings make it easy to capture every sort of pictures.I have the 256mb memory card.On the highest setting I can take atleast 180 pictures.The lcd screen is quite large.I love being the envy of all of my friends with this masterpiece.The only negative thing I can say about this camera is the fact that its a bit bulky for carrying to school and everything.

Exactly what we were looking for
We LOVE this camera so far!We've had it for about a week--it replaces our old dead camera and so far it's perfect.My fiance uses it for point-and-shoot, and he's explored the functions a little (see our submitted photo of the aquarium), and I use all the manual settings and functions.I love that it has a rechargable battery... we used to spend so much money on AAs for our old camera!The screen is nice and big and so are the photos... who needs more than 3x optical zoom?!Our prerequisites for buying a new camera were that it had to have a large screen, large photo size (MPs), and video with audio, and our Z760 has all of that.We also got a refurbished one, so the price was right too!

Good pictures,when it focuses. Flimsy body
Pros: A lot of pictures turn out well, and its fun to make the little videos, especially when you can't afford a video camera, (or a new still camera, either, should this one wear out!)I put 'Amaryllis' in the gallery. Around 6-10 feet distance is safest. Cloud pictures: not bad.
WORKS GREAT
I've owned my camera for 3 years. Still works great. However, sometimes a few pictures can be blurry. Also one day I woke up and my screen was broken on the inside when it was stored and packed correctly. Though it did have a warranty and kodak fixed it for free. Now I have to buy a new battery door for it because the metal piece for electricity conduction fell off! That small piece is nearly $30! All in all, works great. Its been a member of the family. This camera doesn't have a double/triple flash like newer digital cameras that provide higher quality.

Excellent camera For Excellent Price!
I dont know what ALL you people DO with your cameras! Battery Door falling off, doesnt take good night pics.... and so on. I have had this camera since 2004 (january) and have taken a TON of pics ever since. My battery door stays shut, has NEVER had a problem, I have NO problem loading the pics onto the computer either. its soooo easy! My lens shutter does stick once in a while, but VERY easy to fix. Doesnt do it very often. You want a good but Affordable camera, this is the one to get! This is my first one, and probably my last. If something ever DOES happen, I will spend the money to get another one. Kodak Easy Share Cameras Really ARE easy. I have take pics even in the dark of it snowing and they come out GREAT.

Camera was good until the lens cover broke
I bought this camera in April 2003 and have taken alot of good pictures with it. I used the viewer mostly so I didn't have trouble with batteries.
Horrible! That's Why I Got It Free With My Dell
I agree with Lagenfeld's review "Not worth buying". It takes forever to take a picture after you press the shutter. Drains batteries in an instant. It doesn't even take good pictures for how much it drains the batteries. You'll be spending $20 for batteries everytime. Even if you get chargeable batteries, you'll be tired of charging them ever so constantly and if you go somewhere and don't have an outlet to plug the charget into, you'll be missing great shots. You have to keep reprogramming your settings on the camera, because it never saves your settings everytime you turn it off. THE COLOR IS ALWAYS WAY TOO BRIGHT OR WAY TOO DARK! You'll make everyone including yourself look hideous or like a ghost with this camera. The person never looks like themselves with this camera. IT'S A FRUSTRATING AND ABSOLUTELY HERENDOUS CAMERA NO MATTER HOW MUCH THE CAMERA COSTS. IT'S NOT WORTH A DIME!!! THAT'S WHY IT CAME FREE WHEN I BOUGHT MY FIRST COMPUTER.

The perfect compact digital
This camera was well worth the money.Shutter Lag is non-existent, the colors are perfect, its rugged, and its pocket-sized.I recently brought this camera on a 9 day Caribbean cruise and I must see these are some of the best pictures that I have ever taken.I compared a lot of cameras before making this purchase and the research definitely paid off.It is extremely simple to use yet has some impressive features, such as the 5 shot burst mode and the camcorder quality video mode.And it was definitely worth the extra money to buy the 550 instead of the 530.I found myself using tyhe viewfinder very often because it was too sunny or I wanted to save batteries.This camera is definitely worth a serious look before any purchase is made.I know I couldn't be happier with it.

After researching cameras for months, I decided on this one to replace my old HP 3 mexapixel.One of my main requirements was the lag time between clicking the button and the picture being captured, because that drove me crazy with my old camera.This one is great!It takes long videos that are fabulous, and the various settings are very cool -- fireworks, different night modes etc., many of which I used recently on a cruise and allowed me to capture pictures I never could have gotten with the old camera.Size and weight are great -- I keep it with me all the time now!The only problem I've had is getting red-eye even with the red-eye setting on, but not sure if it is operator error.This is a great all-purpose camera for anyone who wants an easy to use, convenient high quality camera. ... It has grown on me
I initially bought this camera because of some basic criteria:3x optical zoom with an all glass lens, standard storage media (SD card), and non-proprietary power source (can take rechargeables or standard alkaline AA batteries).
Terrible Quality, Terrible Company
I had this camera for less than 3 months when it would not turn on any more.I contacted Kodak and sent it in for repair under warrantee.After several weeks, Kodak contacted me a stated that the camera was not repairable and that the damage was not covered under warrantee.The stated that the problem was due to liquid damage and that if I wanted the damaged camera back I was going to have to pay them to return it.
Awesome Camera
I have had this camera for laast one week and I must say that this is a really good camera. All the pictures are very well exposed and looks very good. Even indoor pictures are really nice. The camera has many different useful scene setting. For better indoor, I used the tungesten setting to balance the orange color of the light bulb. Don't buy It!
This camera was my first digital camera.I was lured to it by the cheesy commercials about how easy the pictures were to print from the dock.God, was I naive.
Been with me for about 2 years already...
So I got this camera like over two years ago and I feel like I can now make an accurate review of it. Don't let the negative reviews turn you away from this little gadget. Of course there are flaws to it and of course there are a few lemons in the batch... just like with any other electronic products.
KODAK CX6330 = Junk
While the camera took fine pictures when brand new, after two years, it technical glitches became more and more frequent, such as the picture files being corrupted or lost from both the internal memory or media card. Also, it would no longer sync to my desktop to get pictures off the internal memory.

Error # E45 after only 2 years
Kodak should be ashamed of this E45 error.
#E45 Error Message
Reading through these reviews, I think I may have set a new record for this camera.I bought one in December 2002 and it went wrong in June 2006.I make that 3.5 years before it died.Does this qualify me for a prize?Same thing as others -stuck open with blue screen displaying error #E45.My views are similar to those of the many others who weren't so "lucky".Good easy camera to use with reasonable quality, but its reliability is very poor.I'm going to replace it with one from a proper manufacturer.

SUGGESTION WORKED!
A previous post a few pages in, I think in 2004, suggested gently pushing up on the lens housing while you turn on the unit. I tried this, at first on the outer ring (didn't work), and then on the inner "cylinder", this time it worked. I have turned it on and off several times now and it is working fine.

I bought this camera for myself during Christmas 2004.
I love it!
This is a great camera. The quality is good and the camera is very durable. I've accidently dropped the camera several times, and it still works. However, I would suggest getting a memory card if you want to take more than 24 pictures at a time.

You get what you pay for!!
I bougt this camera and a Olymus camera, both in the same price range, the Kodak camera was by far deficeint in quality of image and workmanship. Avoid this at all cost the Olympus was well made, durable, higher quality picture and ease of use. ... Read more

I have a feedback of almost 1000.I bought this camera for the main purpose of ebay way back in 2000 or 2001 and have used it every single day since until this very moment. 2 MP is perfect for those listings on ebay.Absolutely NO problems with this camera at all !
Very easy to use with good quality photos
I really like this camera.Although it is only 2MP, I find the photos are excellent quality and still print out on a photo printer as clear and good as a normal photo.It is also very easy to use, very much a point and click camera.The menus on the camera are easy to find and adjust anything if you need to.That is takes short videos is great too, this feature has saved me from spending hundreds on a video camera then having to lug that and this one around.The docking station is by far my favourite feature though -just plonk it on the cradle, press a button and all the photos download -easy!
Good Ole Faithful
This camera has served me well since January 2003 when I first bought it. Since then I have taken over 7,000 pictures and I am so glad it's still going. I plan on getting a new camera, but only because technology is improving so rapidly. This camera has been wonderful and survived many drops, hits, stratches and throws. Kodak is a great company and helped me whenever I needed it, including sending new battery doors to replace the ones I've broken when dropping the camera 4+ feet. Good Camera, Generally
This is a good camera. I like it because it has a metal case versus the plastic ones of most. It takes good pictures from about 7-20 ft if the flash is on. The flash doesn't go that far. Also it takes good close ups if the flash is off. Sometimes it is to dark to not use the flash, but the flash makes everything overexposed at close range. Everything else is fine. The pictures are very good quality and there are tons of features. The videos are large, and they are pretty good quality too. Overall, it's a very good product.

Would never buy another Kodak
I have this camera. It has been fine. However, knowing what I know now I would never buy another Kodak camera. Ever. I dropped this camera, and a little plastic piece broke off which keeps the battery pack in the camera. Not a big deal. But NOONE repairs Kodak cameras. Instead you HAVE to send it into their corporate repair center and they instead sell you on trading it in for a refurbished camera. So, I can send this one in and for $250 get a new refurbished camera. But it only sells for $50 more on amazon.com - and thats a new, non-refurbished one! Its a total crock. Just be forwarned. I'd never buy a camera which I cant get repaired locally.

I got this camera second hand from my boyfriend after he bought a new one, and though I like the easy to use laid back atmosphere of it, I wouldn't recommend this camera.It's big, kind of heavy.Even though this camera HAD been taken care of, the battery holder was broken too, it has to be held on with duct tape.Carry spare batteries too, it really drains the juice out of them.I've gotten around sixty five to seventy pictures.Turning off the LCD screen helps. I received my Kodak DC215 Zoom as a gift for my birthday a few years back.It was my first digital anything (I still proudly carried my analog cam corder, kept my contacts in a paper address book, etc.), so I was very excited (being the technology buff that I am).While boxy and a little on the heavy size, the camera really doesn't look bad at all.Its nicely built as its survived a few perilous falls, however one of the rubber flaps has fallen off over a few years of use.Read more

22,000 Pics and Still Working Great
I bought my DC290 new in November 1999 for $799 from Computers4sure.com ($1099 MSRP). They had just come out. It has been used all over the US, Mexico and Japan to take 22,000 pics!
I agree with Joe Pool
I bought this camera for $300 and have always been happy with it.Takes great pictures, does have some delay, and is a little heavy.I also got the E 11 Error message but I don't have the manual anymore.Now I'm on the hunt to find someone to fix this... If I find anyone, I'll let you all know.
Kodak DC290
I got one of these Kodak DC290 mid-range cameras, and I am sorry to see that Kodak has suspended production of these units ! I have never had any problems with it, and all the photos I have taken come out wonderfuly. I do recommend the 256MB CF card, and you will want a professional battery pack so it doesn't run out of juice during a photo shoot. One last thing, since it is primarily a USB device, use Windows ME+ with it. 98 seemed to be very slow at data transfer rates. In short, if you can find one of these units(originally $1,000.00) buy it, you won't be dissapointed ! ... Read more

The detail and resolution is unmatched! Never received item
Ordered camera, no email from Ritz Camera explaining why it was cancelled. Phone calls got me no where. Very unhappy. Never received product, just a refund with STILL no answers. If you have a DCS-760, KEEP IT!
We owned the DCS-760 in our pro photo lab. The camera was great. Then, kodak came out with the DCS-14n as a replacement. It was a huge mistake. The DCS-14n's sensor is simply of lower quality, shadows sometimes come out magenta. There is also a flare issue. Grey gradients, depending on the density come out green or yellow. And there are other issues as well, but you get the point. In conclusion, the DCS-760 was a far better camera.Read more

overpriced!
this camera is very big and has a tiny screen. it loads things very slow and the pictures never really turn out that good. im surprised that people are still selling it when there are newer, nicer cameras for half the price.

Still clicking after 2 years
I have used the Kodak DX3215 for more than 2 years without having any problems.I have the docking device and keep the camera there to recharge batteries when I am home.Away from home I use the lithium batteries.I take many snapshots, and use the Kodak software to edit, store, and print them.I am not a professional photographer, but knowledgeable about point and shoot basics.I found this camera as easy to use as my Ricoh 135mm camera, but now prefer this one because I can edit and print the photos myself.

Nice quality Megapixel camera
I think this camera would rate higher if the price were more in line with the cheap 1.3 Megapixel competition. I bought this item for half the listed price, or my rating might be somewhat different. This camera takes excellent photos that will print at near-photo quality up to 5x7 inches. It's not a truly high-resolution camera, but for snapshots, photos for Web use, and even spot photos for press it will do the job nicely. The overall photo quality and color balance is excellent, although images are little grainy indoors by artificial light w/o flash. The impressive thing is that it actaully takes photos indoors by artificial light w/o flash. So far the auto focus has resulted in perfectly focused images every time, with fast exposures that help prevent blurriness from unsteady hands. The macro-focus also results in excellent, sharp images from less than a foot away. The interface is easy to grasp, and not too difficult to set up. I've been very impressed so far with the quality of the images. Read more

Great technology!
I actually bought one of these at a yard sale for 80 bucks, since previously I owned and used a Kodak dc 240.I don't quite know why this series of cameras take such amazingly sharp pictures (my 240 (1.2 MP) takes sharper photos than my 3.2 MP sony!!!)but they just do.The 280 has a more limited zoom (2x as opposed to a 3x), but the picture quality is amazing.You cannot buy a 2MP camera that takes sharper and more realistic pictures than the 280.The new Kodak series with the docking ports are made differently and they are not as good about focusing or sharpness of image.The 280 is a great investment!! I've seen prints from the 280 looking better than some 4MP cameras!! And that's all I have to say about that :)

Great Camera
my dad had baught this camera 3years ago and then recently he gave it to me. itsa good camera, the only thing is, the lense cap keeps comming off. great camera, cheap lense cap.picture quality is good, indoor and outdoor. the only other thing is that when the batteries get low it'll stop using the flash, which gets really annoying sometimes but normally isn't a problem. it can also stand SOME banging around, but not much. oh, and that little plastic covering at the bottom of the right hand corner of the camera peeled off recently but that doens't affect the camera's performance!

This WORKHORSE takes STUNNING pictures!
After much research, I recommended the DC280 for my friend's company almost three years ago, and since then it has taken THOUSANDS of pics, most of them STUNNING good color and clarity. Whether taken inside or outside, of products, people or nature shots, the DC280 seemed to handle everything we threw at it - including getting DROPPED several times and getting WET and DIRTY on numerous occasions (not that I recommend it). Recently my friend bought a Canon G2 and GAVE me his "old" Kodak DC280 - and it STILL takes stunning pictures as if it was brand new! Therefore, if you can find a good used DC280 or DC290 for a decent price, I can GUARANTEE you won't be disappointed with the durability of the camera or the quality of the pictures! ... Read more
