5-0 out of 5 stars Great camera.
This camera easy to use, has great quality pictures with 3.34 MP. Long battery live.

5-0 out of 5 stars A Great Camera
I've had my Casio for just over 2 years. It is extremely easy to use and with the hard drive, I mindlessly shoot shots at the highest resolution (2048x1536)knowing that storage is no issue.Having the HD has changed the way I shoot photos since with "no storage issues" I take multiple photos per topic and decide later on my computer which ones I'll use and delete the rest. Accessing photos with the USB port is as simple as plugging in the USB cable and double clicking the "drive E:" icon that appears in My Computer.Although the Casio software is ok it is not as effective as some of the commercial software that is available. After trying a few packages I've settled in on using Adobe Photoshop Elements 2.0 and Irfanview (which is free) to edit my photos.I've printed 8x10 photos on my Epson ink jet printer with Photo paper and the results are superb. A high resolution, poster size photos can be printed.Since day one, I've been using Kodak rechargeable Ni-MH batteries and battery life has not been an issue at all. The 3x optical zoom I use extensively and I've never used the digital zoom.An excellent camera that I highly recommend.

5-0 out of 5 stars this camera is a workhorse
We have used this camera on several three week or longer trips, carrying extra rechargable batteries and using a bigger storage chip.We get up to 1,000 photos, sometimes things get a little slow after 800, who cares!Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Amazing and Extremely Small and Durable Camera + MP3 Player
I bought the M20U (about 2 months ago) as a secondary cam, after purchasing the Canon IS S1 (wonderful camera), for a camera to have with me always.Obviously this isn't the "best" taking picture camera out there, but for the compact size, and I stress compact, it's smaller than a credit card super thin, and has a very durable steel body, and a very decent MP3 player, it was perfect for my needs.A camera to have anytime of the day or night (what good is a shot you could take if you have no camera at all). The flash isn't super, but adequate for portrait shots. Also, Casio really adds alot of features as mentioned above to this tiny cam, especially the auto lens cover. The picture quality is good, not great, it would never replace my S1.But if you want a camera to have with you all the time, I would recommend this tiny companion. If it's for your main and only camera, you may want to consider Canon or others. But as a complimentary camera, its perfect.I use the MP3 player everyday while im at work.I love it.. I tried the Pentax S4, ok picture quality also (the fuzzy corner issue there), but more expensive at the time and actually double the size of the M20 (depth wise) plus no MP3 player and macro.I wanted a camera that would fit in any pocket, shirt or pants and wouldn't notice the weight or bulk of it.Again, I would recommend anyone that can find one, try it out, it's a fun, fast shooting camera.I've got shots I never could have with my S1.I was really amazed how fast this thing can shoot. No AF lag whatsoever, and start up is fast, real fast.Great battery life also.I listen to my MP3 7 hours a day with life to spare.I usually charge it each night though.(...).Great site...Only cons, is, no optical zoom (never use digital zoom), but not a big issue, just move closer if possible to the subject.5-0 out of 5 stars Stylish with great image quality
This camera is simply fantastic. Not only is it stylish and slim (will fit in your jean pockets with easy) but also takes fantastic pics, with great resolution even at 20x12.My grandfather recently bought a 4MP Olympus and he had to conceed how little difference there is in image quality.Unlike some more expensive cameras it also takes movies with sound and can be used as a dictaphone or sound recorded.3-0 out of 5 stars Nice form factor, but lower image quality than expected
This is a great little camera for quick shots but actually had less resolution even on the highest setting than my dinosaur of a 1.3 mp Olympus. Also, movie mode audio track has a lot of digital noise. If you're after a fun all-rounder, however, this is a great camera with a fantastic user interface and design ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Should be a more popular camera!
This is my second digital camera - my first was a Creative Labs 3MP that I bought for taking whiteboard pictures. I am very happy with the Casio, as it solves three of the issues that have prevented me from buying a "decent" digital for some time. 4-0 out of 5 stars Great digital camera
I purchased this camera to replace my Casio EX-Z4 which broke. This camera takes great photos. The controls are much easier to access than my EX-Z4.i.e. there is a dedicated delete button, dedicated dial for choosing mode, etc...The power button while small is much easier to press than the EX-Z4.I was really looking for a camera with at least a 4x optical zoom because I like to take lots of wildlife photos and I can get too close to my subject. The downside to this camera is that it's too big to slip into my pocket like the EX-Z4 and there is no cradle charger. The camera also does not automatically shutoff when idle when attached to your computer -- which drains the battery.
5-0 out of 5 stars Great Camera!
I have owned several digital cameras... 3 Fuji's (all wonderful) and 2 canons (1 great, 1 not so great) to name a few. This is the first Casio I've owned and it takes stunning photos!Ideally I thought I wanted a digital SLR but their large size scared me away. After much research, I decided on the Casio and found that it takes just as good if not better photos than my friends SLR's.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great choice
When i bought this camera, i was really mostly interested in finding a cool, little camera that would be sure to impress others with it's sleekness and not so much worried about it's features. After using it a little tho, i was pleasantly surprised to find that it's a great camera with no bad qualities as far i can tell so far.THe battery life it excellent, the LCD screen is as good as i could have hoped for and the quality of the pictures is far beyond any expectation of any need i could ever have for this camera. The ease of use is phemonminal also.Within an hour i had figured out how to use the features and had hte pictures on the computer.Speaking of taht, the included software was also easy to use and very complete. This said, if you're looking for a great, little digital camera that won't break the bank, you've found it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great little camera
Better than the EX-S2, the S20 adds a lens cover - really needed for a 'pocket' camera. Can take it anywhere without looking like a tourist.Flash is very bright.Pictures at max res 1600 x 1200 fine mode are pretty good, certainly good enough for a website or 3x5 prints. And since you are limited by the fixed lens anyways, 3 or 4 MP seems like a waste for the money.Added a 256 MB card and it holds 214 pix at max res.Only holds 6 pix without so definately get a card. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars An ALMOST perfect digital cam!
I am not an expert photographer but I am pretty good for a novice.I do a fair amount of close up photography (wildflowers, insects, and kittens I care for--I run an adoption agency for orphaned kitties)....so a macro function was high on my list of must-haves for a camera, which was one of the reasons I purchased the Casio QV2000UX. This camera makes it possible to get beautifully detailed, crisp images from just a few inches away. 3-0 out of 5 stars Great pictures / cheap case
I've had the camera for 1 year. 4-0 out of 5 stars One More Issue to Add...
...One thing that makes my relationship with my casio less than perfect is the serial cable connection (I can't use USB).There lacks a definite "click" to notify the user whether the cable and the camera is securly connected.Often I found myself sitting in front of the computer like an idiot, waiting for the pictures to be downloaded to my pc, but in fact the connection is not even there physically.Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Love this Camera
Easy to use.Light weight. I'm very happy with this camera.

5-0 out of 5 stars endless picture-taking
This is an excellent digital camera: small, lightweight, easy to use, and packed with numerous preformatted settings for specific situations. For me however, its great virtue is the 340 MB memory card.I recently returned from an extended trip in Europe and this camera enabled me to log over 300 fine quality pictures without having to fiddle with and keep track of replacement cards.Better yet, upon returning home, I plugged the camera into the TV and was able to inflict an extended slide show on my loved ones.

5-0 out of 5 stars Fantastic Camera

5-0 out of 5 stars Casio w/IBM Micro Drive
I just returned from 24 days in Europe. Before leaving (and after an enormous amount of online research) I purchased the Casio QV2000 w/Micro Drive from Amazon.com.I also purchased a rechargable battery unit thatincluded a car adaptor.Since this camera loves batteries-it was great tobe able to put in freshly recharged batteries everyday (the battery unitwas plugged into the cigarette lighter of my rental car). The camera (withmicro drive) has the capacity for 400 high resolution pictures.I took 375photos in 24 days! Now I am editing & captioning them using thesoftware that Casio provides. This camera was perfect for a long trip. It's easy to use & the micro drive means you will never have to worryabout running out of memory. In addition, I used several of its featureswith wonderful results:Panorama-the Schonbruen Palace and Lake Geneva;Night-Charles Bridge in Prague, Street performers in Florence;Landscape-Swiss Alps; etc. Highly recommended.

4-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Buy
My previous digital camera was a Sony FD series w/floppy. I purchased it several years ago when the technology was just being introduced. Its lack of quality resolution, speed and capacity soured me on digital technologyand I decided to wait a few years before revisting this arena.Well time haspassed and after reading numerous reviews and checking out several camerasat retail locations, I decided to purchase the Casio QV2000. To be honestmy main reason for selecting this camera was the Compact Flash slot due tomy recent purchase of the Casio Cassiopeia PocketPC.Much to my surprise itis this camera which I have fallen in love with. Obviously the technologyhas improved and all the shortcomings of my previous camera have beenaddressed. I was just absolutely staggered by the ease of use, editingcapability and picture resolution. There are two things which I dislike, 1) The lens cover slide mechanism feels like a disaster witing to happen, particularly when the camera is used by a newbie5-0 out of 5 stars Great Camera - Software difficult
I just received my Casio QV2000.It's truly a great digital camera.Very easy to use and lots of bells and whistles. The Software that accompanies the camera is difficult, necessitating three calls to Casio Techsupport.Imight add that they were excellent.User documentation is scarse, so callCustomer Service and they will send the manuals.Call Casio for an ACAdapter. The recommended Olympus adapter does not fit.Otherwise, pictures are clear and well detailed. If you have Windows 98 Upgrade theUSB cable connection to the computer will not work and you have to use theserial cable, which is slow and needs the AC Adapter. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Great picture quality
I have been using this camera for a year and I'm very pleased with it. Pictures are great, it's easy to use but if you want to do more advanced setup, it's possible. The only dark side is that it takes about 3sec to turn the camera on.

5-0 out of 5 stars QV-4000 is best yet
I'm on my 4th digital camera.I read countless reviews of Canon G2, Nikons, Kodaks, and Sonys before I bought the Casio.I owned it for 5 months now.I am thrilled with every aspect: picture quality, lens, features, and speed of processing each photo. My criteria was: 1.AA batteries. This camera came with great rechargeables.Even in while traveling where I cannot easily recharge I can get replacements at any local store.2.CompactFlash card.I had already invested in three for previous Kodak DC210 and DC290 cameras, all work great with this Casio camera.3.I wanted a camera that is ready to shoot another shot in a couple of seconds. This one, even with 200 photos already on the memory card, does it every time.VERY fast timing. The DC290 took great shots but I often had to wait 20 or 30 sceconds between shots. 4.This camera has an external flash jack so I can use my existing studio flash outfit.5.Photos taken in low light come out spectacular.6.Canon lens is great and Sony sensor is spot on for colors.7.Build quality has proven excellent. On the minus side:A.This camera, while still smaller than many, is a little brickish and larger than some may want.B.Flash range is only about 11-12 ft.Often need to take a flash photo then shut flash off and picture usually comes out better if there is ANY light available.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Simple, Great Quality
Love this camera.Just point and shoot. No need to reread the manual if you don't use it for months. It has so many other capabilities that I forget to use that would make my pictures even better, but however you use it the photos come out great. The preprogrammed settings for different environments really, really works. The LCD display is amazingly clear. The battery door is a little fragile -- broke it and had to replace it, but other than that, this thing is rock-solid quality. For the other reviewer who lost the charger, they are available at www.pacparts.com

4-0 out of 5 stars Great camera for the money
I recently purchased this new 4mp camera from Casio. The historigram is great and the overall use of the equipment is easy to use.The pictures are high quality and given the internal "auto" settings, found it to be wonderfully simple and ready to shoot. It powers up quickly and is small enough to fit in your coat pocket. The only flaw is the movie mode, sound is not a component of this camera?I wish it was so everyone could see and hear my three angels on any email I wish to send. Thanks to Casio for meeting my digital needs, I will be a return customer for sure!!!!!!

4-0 out of 5 stars Pretty dam good for the price!
I've had this camera now for going on 2 years and I must say, it a great camera for the money. It's small and doesn't really take up too much storage. I must recommend that you get a real good case for it. You don't really want this camera exposed too much to elements..or children in my situation. I've had my three year old pull the camera off a kitchen table and drop it (no noticable change in performance.) I use this camera for work and for family events. It's just been great to have all that storage capacity. There have been a few times, however, that I've been less than happy with it's performance. For example, at my nephews graduation, the dark ambient light caused the camera to lose track of the subject. It gets confused in dark settings, even with the Best shot feature set properly. I also don't like how it takes sometimes up to 30 seconds to fully get powered up and ready to shoot. In most cases where it takes that long, you've missed a great shot. But seconds after it's ready, it takes really good pictures. I've never been dissapointed with the image quality. It captures very good details. So, I highly recommend this camera for the everyday user.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellant Camera
I had taken lots of shots. The pictures are very good.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent camera-Excellent Value
I am not a professional photographer, but I wanted top end image quality. This may not be the camera for the serious photography professional, but an excellent camera for the rest of us. The image quality may not be the ultimate best, but it is very, very good and the camera does not cost $5000+.A major reason for purchase was the bundled 340MB IBM Microdrive which is a must for shooting a lot of images at the fine setting.I recently went on a vacation/college visiting trip.I fired off over 200 images at fine setting and came home after two weeks on road with 80-90 images to spare on the drive-excellent, excellent feature for the price. This camera eats batteries, the included AA batteries are a joke, they were gone in 5 minutes.Advise buying two sets of NiMH and/or a set of Lithium Ion batteries and keep one set charged to alternate with-that gives you all the battery capacity you need (until fuel cells are available). Also a must is the AC adapter. Two minor complaints: 1)If you turn the camera on with the lens cap on, it shuts off automatically and the manual warns this can cause damage to the camera.Guess how many times this tends to happen?! 2) The camera should have a watch battery to keep the time and date current, it doesn't.If it goes without power it loses that info which has to re-entered at each shooting session if there are long time lapses between sessions. All in all I am very satisfied with the performance, features and storage capacity of the camera.Great value for your money! ... We used this camera in my high school photography class and I have to say that I basically fell in love with it. It has plenty of features, I like the best shot mode most, and it is very comfortable to hold not only that but the 4 AA batteries go a long way after every charge. After school got out and I no longer had this camera I realized how different my life was. Yeah I know how corny that sounds but it's true! I had become the family photographer and everyone I knew was asking me to take photos for them! After I realized that I really needed one of my own I went looking and just when I thought it was discontinued I found it here on amazon. Naturally I gasped when I saw the price, particularly for a 3.1 (or .2?) Megapixel camera, but after looking around for a short while I realized this is the one I want. My classroom had very nice printers and as long as you uploaded the photos under high resolution the 8x10 prints were beautiful. The only examples I still have are a little bit grainy but I think that was because of the printers running out of ink (my family loved the photos i took and everyone wanted a set of 8x10 prints) otherwise they are nice clear prints. I think the only problem with this camera is the price for the MP, but I love it and as soon as I save up enough I will buy it! ... Read more
