5-0 out of 5 stars Designer loves this Camera
Smart & High Performance Camera....Super compact, classy design (Eva-10 hard case fits a bit tight hight-wise but protects the camera very nice) super light-weigth, excellent quality of images at day, with flash, with low light (grain controled by changing ISO and practicing), nice optical zoom, amaaaazing macro (see things you havent seen in your plants), antishake function helps shaky hands, super fast to start up, super simple and intuitive to understand, browse and set up, easy to access predetermined "best shots",ready to use with Macs and Ipods. Huuuuge screen to see your pix. Video is nice quality (optical zoom disabled in video). Long lasting battery. Fits 120 10MP pix (or 6 to 28 minutes of video) in a 512 MB SD card. Base plugs 3 cables (usb, electric, video), keep it in your desk, snap your camera in, click one button and you are ready to download/print/watch a slide show in your tv. Comes with basic printed manual and CD with manual in 7 lenguages (260+ pages each)... do you really want printed manuals? (quit wasting paper!), You noticed you can (dont HAVE to, but CAN) shoot 10 Megapixels? (in case you want to have a 9x12 in 300 dpi image)... sweet !!!Did you see that price tag? :-D

2-0 out of 5 stars Very grainy in less than very bright light
I give the Casio Exilim Z1000 poor marks only after much thought about what a drag it is to give a negative review for such a sweet-looking camera. I researched the Z1000 before buying it. I read the few reviewers who complained about the graininess of the photos at lighting conditions that were less than very, very bright, but they were over-shadowed by many more glowing reviews.
1-0 out of 5 stars Casio quality and customer service
I bought a Casio Exilim 3 years ago. Since that time, the viewer cracked and the cost of the repair was 90% of the camera's price. Then the software began to malfunction, intermittently, by that time out of warranty. I find Casio has great features on paper but after the sale service not at all satisfactory. So, what to do? I bought a very simple 5MP Kodak Easyshare. It is interesting in the end, after weeks of research, I would choose Kodak. My brother in law had one, it was very reliable, everyone in the house could use it, and it was reasonably priced. And judging from user reviews, Kodak will turn around a broken camera in 48 hours. I'll take that over a bunch of bells and whistles anyday. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars A Nice Pocket Camera
I just bought this camera.I like it's small size and the images seem good.I cannot find a way to have the camera auto-rotate vertical images and this is a disappointment. The battery charger uses a big and bulky cord. This is in contrast to Canon's sleek wall chargers.Still the camera is very thin and make good images at a reasonable cost.

5-0 out of 5 stars It is just plain great
This camara is just as good as the great reviews in PC Magazine and I could not be happier. Bill ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars GENIAL

4-0 out of 5 stars The more I use the camera, the better I like it!
This is a handy little camera.I bought it because I wanted a small camera to carry with me.It takes a while to become used to the manual features, but once you do, you can take some nifty close ups.The movies feature is incredible with accurate voice quality and picture.Overall the accuracy of color is excellent too. This camera has met all the expectations I had and more.

4-0 out of 5 stars Nice camera but some others are better
This camera is nice, but a bit pricey considering that the pictures are more the size of a 6 mp camera than 8.1. About half the pictures in less than perfect lighting are not useable. Low light pictures are terrible. Flash is a bit more powerful than other cameras this size. Be careful about turning on the camera with the lens blocked. Making this mistake even once will end the life of the camera. Movie mode is outstanding... best I have seen in a camera this size. Not as fast between shots as it is turning on. Digital zoom is mostly a joke, but it can actually be used with some success and perfect lighting on this camera. Various Best Shot choices are awesome. This is my ninth digital camera, running all the way back to 1992. For versatility and great movies, this camera is a top choice. Also uses cheap SD cards, a real plus. Battery life is very good. I have used the camera extensively for a month.

5-0 out of 5 stars Second one
I am now getting my second one. The first one fell out of a helikopter in Iraq so now it time to get a new one. For normal people like me its a really good camera. I took hundreds of pictures in all sorts of moving things and no othe camera any of the other guys had could match this one. Thats why i lost it because I was being silly in the helikopter....would have been a hell of apicture thow!

4-0 out of 5 stars Good camera with some flaws
I purchased this camera a few weeks ago.I decided to purchase this rather than the Canon SD600 despite my excellent history with Canon cameras. At the time, the SD600 was about $50 more than this camera, but the price of the cannon has dropped since. In short, I'm happy but not trilled with this camera. If I was to do it again, I'd go with the Canon.
5-0 out of 5 stars I like!
I upgraded to this camera finally severing the link to the previous Olympus 3020 Camedia. The Olympus cost me >$500, 5 years ago, and served me well, but the thing sucked up battery juice like a kid on a can of soda at the water park.

1-0 out of 5 stars Love the camera, if it worked.
I've had to have 2 repairs for the "lens error". Without improper use, the lens will fail to open and then the camera is useless. I sent it in twice for this problem and they sent me a brand new camera since they lost my original one while fixing it, and low and behold the camera they sent will not work either! AND they sent a silver one, when i owned the orange one. Their customer service isn't exactly on the ball.
1-0 out of 5 stars Bad Customer Service
I had returned this camera twice already and it is still not working great. The pictures get blury at times (focus issues). When I sent it back under warranty they "fixed" it and sent back to me without my usermanual or the little handle string!I asked for it back and never got it back. When I realized the focus issues weren't solved I sent back and I got it in the same condition!!Bad customer service...I will send it back the third time!

5-0 out of 5 stars For its size, a great value
First Law of Photography: You can't take a photo if you don't have a camera.I never go anywhere without this shirt pocket marvel, and consequently have captured lots of pictures that otherwise would go unrecorded. This is no mobile phone quality camera - with 6 mp and 3x optical zoom and lots of other features, this thing is a great deal. And.. you can KEEP some family pics or other favorites (OK-GO on Treadmills) to share with others.
