How many pictures will it store?
How many pictures will it store?It is the most commonly asked question from digital camera enthusiast but usually the question that is the most difficult to get a straight answer about.Well, considering I worked in the memory industry for over 7 years I can help clarify this perplexing question and do so unbiased as I have since changed industries.
Buy it somewhere beside Amazon
This product is back ordered and is not even handled by Amazon. They turn the order over to Office Tech, supposely, a part of Office Depot. Amazon doesn't tell you that they take the cash from your credit card while Office Tech keeps telling you the order is coming sometime in the future. They say you can cancel your order but try to do it. The cancel button doesn't work and when you send an e-mail to cancel, the reply is your order will be ship sometime in the future. Then they tell you, you can return the order for a full refund.

No problems, no complaints
My dad bought this over two years ago to go with his new digital camera and this stick has served us well! It has gone on trips to Disneyworld, to see grandparents, nieces and other family, as well as several other short trips (and I used it in my own mini photo shoot, too). What can I say? We've never had any problems with it, it's always been ready when we needed it. excellent price for an excellent battery
This battery is excellent and lasts a lot longer than the standard battery that came with my sony camcorder.After fully charging I was able to record a whole tape, and then plug the camcorder into my computer for conversion from 8mm tape to .avi files with lots of battery life left to spare when I was done.With the stock battery I wasn't able to do that.Definitely an excellent price for an excellent battery.

Good choice
I am using these batteries (now they come at 900mAh) for my baby monitor - it takes 3 AAAs.
i'm going for the eveready 850 mAh

Reliable Batteries
I bought a couple of these to use with my Sony BCG-34HD4 charger. These batteries are working great. They're 800mAh (Capacity), larger than the standard AAA size (The also last about twice as long as normal Alkaline batteries). I've used a pair for atleast 50 charges and they're still going. Rechargeable batteries are a much more economical choice for anyone, I use these in an MP3 player. You're pretty safe going with Sony (You can get cheaper NiMH batteries from other brands but you risk getting cheap'os that can leak in your equipment). Remember though, these will only work with NiMH chargers! You should also get a charger that cuts power when fully charged to preserve your battery life. ... Read more

I ordered the Sony Info-Lithium NPF960 battery but was sent a faux product. It is not Sony, nor is it Info-Lithium . Its a totally bogus li-ion (no mfr name is even on the battery). It does not work properly with my Sony Camcoder (no battery life monitor, etc). I wrote and asked the company to send me the Sony battery that I ordered from their Amazon ad,and was advised that the best they could do is a refund. so i'm returning the battery to them...the Sony ad isnt just misleading, its downright bogus !! Beware !!

It's not cheap but it's great!
I have two of these batteries in my case (along with the tiny one that came with my DCRVX2000 which I never use because it doesn't last.) This battery is great! Yes, it does add extra weight but I have never, ever run out of power during a film shoot. The cast and crew will burn out long before the battery does! If you just shoot some casual home footage, it might be overkill but if you, like me, end up shooting footage in locations where there's no handy electrical outlets, this battery is a welcome addition to your equipment bag! ... The KEY is not to buy from this retailer
I too ordered a battery that stated it was the Sony version, only to get one that did not work on my camera.Though their website stated full satisfaction and return of both cost and shipping, I dealt with rude people and finally had to contest the payment to my credit card company.I was not refunded the return shipping nor the return receipt fees I felt I had to pay to prove I returned the item.I found that this company is not listed with the California BBB.Their website is fraudulent at best.I don't understand why Amazon continues to let them advertise through their website.

OEM battery at a great price
Although the product title says "for DCRVX2100 & HDRFX1", this is an L-series battery that works perfectly in my older DCR-TRV103 Handycam.

Look closer, and the voltage is 7.2V just like the Sony
I feel silly rating this when I haven't used it, but neither has the other person that gave it 1 star.Amazon must have made an error in stating the voltage to be 3.6V.The tech specs list 7.2V.It's about $15 less expensive than the Sony.

Know what you are getting and why...
I have owned one of these for over 3 years and are very happy with it. I use it frequently when I need to get the sound from a distance source rather than the environment that I am in. Some examples are: IMO, a waste of $50...Check out the ECM-MS908C instead

Pricey but solid performance
I was first peeved about having to but stuck with a predetermined Sony memory stick format. But after continued use in TRV900, TRV11 video cams and the Sony Clie PDA- I have to say I'm very happy with the memory stick's flexibility. I usually hate being stuck in a specific company format, but at least Sony did it right. Perfect amount of memory!
I've had my camera for 6 months now, and I've always used my 32 M memory stick - I've never run out of space!It can store up to 200 pictures taken at low resolution.It's awesome!The memory stick is also incredibly useful for my Sony Walkman... I can store 6-10 of my favorite MP3s :)It's incredibly useful.But if you're a photo enthusiast.. opt for the 64 M :)

The minumum amount of memory you should have
Way better than 4MB, and much better than 16MB, this 32MB memory stick will do you pretty well.I have been using one for a while, and it served me well taking medium resolution images on two short trips this summer. I ended up having to delete images towards the end of the trip to fit in more exciting photo ops, though, and I really wish I had bought an extra one of these, or the 64MB card.Read more
