The GRDX75 features a high-performance 1/6" 680,000 Pixel CCD to capture high-quality video and digital photos. It's also fitted with a 16X optical zoom and a 700X digital zoom with spline interpolation. Digital zoom is a powerful tool, but it can lead to "jaggies"--zigzag contours that reduce picture quality. JVC has adopted spline interpolation to mathematically smooth such contours, making them look more natural. Just my complaints
Wanted to say that the picture quality is somewhat lacking. Could have been better. And to state that there is NO analog to digital pass through feature on this camera. You can record from an analog source to the miniDV tape on the camera but it is NOT pass through. Thats all...the rest of the functions are up to par with what they have advertised.
