1-0 out of 5 stars great camera if you don't mind lens jamming
About 18 months ago, purchased the Z40 for my teenage daughter.
2-0 out of 5 stars Zoom Broke 3x
The pictures were very high quality, when the camera was working. My only complaint there was that even zoomed in, the objects of most pictures at a distance looked ant like. The camera's zoom mechanism broke 3x.The first time I had fixed at my cost.I was not sure that I had not caused the damage. One day after getting it back, the problem resurfaced and the repair people fixed it again. This was the second long repair time.About 2 months later I was at a music festival, went to turn it on and guess what?Yep, the zoom mechanism was broken again.I am not going to bother fixing it.After I get the pictures off it (the only way now is directly from the SD card), this camera is going to that great camera in the sky.
5-0 out of 5 stars A great camera for everyday use!
I was a bit skeptical of the Casio brand but I liked all the features of this camera and read a positive up review in a photography magazine so I took the leap. I haven't regreted it a bit. This is a great "casual" camera with easy settings for picking just the shot you need.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great for small business!
When you're hesitant to go to the expense of a cash register, this is a great calculator for a small retail business - which is exactly why I purchased it.The keys are large, paper roll insertion is easy and the automatic tax calculation key (TAX+) for sales is helpful. The Casio website is also helpful for tech support.I purchased this item used without a manual and needed to know how to set the tax rate.(It was preset to 5% and I needed to change it to 6.5%.)Within a day they emailed me back with step-by-step instructions. If you are also struggling to figure this out and can't find the info on the web (as I couldn't) here are the steps as they provided to me:
3-0 out of 5 stars Casio FR-2650,the net is no place to replenish ink
We use this in the office of our non-profit organization. It works well, keys are straight forward.Only problem we have encountered so far is failed attempts to find out how to reink the rollers on the web! ... Read more

Casio CT-K558 is the perfect keyboard introduction for the casual enthusiast or for those just starting out. It offers 61 full-size, touch-sensitive keys that cover a full five octaves. Touch-sensitive keys provide better finger control. The harder you strike the key, the louder the sound will be. The K558 also has 100 rhythm patterns, instrument tones, and accompaniment songs. All the auto accompaniment songs follow the Casio chord and fingered-chord systems, so you can generate background music at any skill-level.Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars WARNING about the picure
The picture displayed with the CASIO CTK 558 appears to be the more expensive WK1600.The CTKs are fine entry level keyboars with 66 keys. The WKs are a little more expensive and have a wider (72+ key) keyboard.Don't get fooled by the picture.

4-0 out of 5 stars CTK-558 - great keyboard!
This is a wonderful keyboard with a great sound and ease-of-use. However, if I had to purchase it today, I'd go for either CTK-551 or Casio LK-30 learning system. I think the pitch bend wheel and touch response which are extras on CTK-558 may not be that important to beginners. However, the follow-me lightsystem in LK-30 might be worth it. ... Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars No charge!
I also had a problem w/ camera not recharging ... just about the time the warranty expired. Don't know if it was the cradle or the camera...Casio wanted $199 to fix. No thanks! No more Casio cameras for me.
2-0 out of 5 stars Expensive to fix...
I received this camera as a Christmas gift last December.I thought it was a decent camera - it was compact and had a lot of great features. My only complaint initially was the lag time between shots. Then over the summer, my cradle quit charging the camera for no appearant reason.Since this was a gift, I did not have the receipt so I could not take advantage of the warranty.Casio is charging around $200 to fix the problem. This seems a little on the high side considering the camera isn't even a year old.I won't be buying any more Casio products nor would I recommend them to anyone.

1-0 out of 5 stars It started out great....
For the first 2.5 months of ownership, I was very pleased; however, the camera now has difficulty focusing. The manual indicated the topic matter did not have enough contrast. (Hmm...perhaps a manufacturing bug, identified prior to distribution?) I then tested the theory, locating high contract topics with the same results. At this point, I contacted the manufacturer and they suggested I send the camera in to be repaired. Boo! I expect a product like this to provide years of service, not months. Save your money and look for a more reliable product. ... Read more

Editorial Review

Common knowledge says that if you don't practice diligently and master technique, you can't play a musical instrument. Casio, however, thinks otherwise, which is why it developed the LK-90TV lighted keyboard, which connects to users' TVs to guide them through lesson plans while individual keys light up to direct them to the proper notes. The keyboard employs a comprehensive three-step lesson system, which lets people learn as they play and grades their progress after each tutorial. The keyboard's complement of 61 illuminated keys also means folks will learn on a full keyboard, and the 100 pre-recorded songs gives them plenty of choices for accompaniment. Budding Elton Johns will appreciate the sing-along function, which lets people karaoke their way through 65 classics, with the option of loading more songs when connected to a computer through the USB interface. The karaoke option displays song lyrics across people's TV screens while they play, so both keyboard players and guests can harmonize their way through a host of favorites. Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars great product
I gave the LK90TV to my non-musician son as a learning tool. 5-0 out of 5 stars I played Moonlight Sonata without a single lesson!
This is an outstanding keyboard.I've never had a piano lesson, yet I was able to play Moonlight Sonata right after taking it out of the box. This keyboard has a feature that lights the keys you are supposed to play about 2 seconds before you are supposed to play them.As a result, you are able to play complicated songs without a single lesson, or reading a single page of sheet music. It's very satisfying. While I am teaching myself to play the piano, I am able to play beautiful and complicated songs. It's a great way to stay motivated.
1-0 out of 5 stars No adapter....This was a rip-off
I bought this and took it to another state to give to my grandchildren on Christmas Day. What a disappointment. Grandpa thought there was an adapter "in the box" as advertised so we had the whole day with no adapter and no batteries. I notified Amazon immediately. They sent me another whole keyboard but no adapter again. I will have to think twice about believing anything Amazon has in its ads. There were plenty of other places to get this, maybe I should have gone to a store where they could show me what was in the box before I disappoint my grandkids again. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars The Perfect Digital Camera!!
I was reluctant for years about buying a digital.I have always used SLR's and am extremely anal about the quality of my pictures.I like the ability to zoom, use different filters, stop action and enjoy the perks SLR's offer. However, I wanted something small and less expensive to fit in my purse and have with me all the time. I did a lot of research and it paid off big time. The camera is light, small and compact. It is about the size of a pack of cigerettes.Perfect size.Cameras too small are hard to handle and can break easily and too big would defeat my purpose. This one is perfect.
5-0 out of 5 stars Casio Exilim EX-Z110-Nice value-great pics!
I bought this as an upgrade to a Fuji Finepix I had owned for several years. I sail in the Caribbean quite a bit and wanted something that was small in size, but would offer high quality pictures. Despite some negative reviews, I looked at this (in person) at a retail store and then found an online deal and bought it. Bottom line? No regrets. Solid value for the $. If it gets lost, stolen or destroyed, it won't be a huge expense to replace it. It's also very easy to use, with a super oversize view display. I did buy a special case to fit it (the camera is very thin) and a screen protector, since I had read about problems with scratching of the screen. I am very pleased with the picture results, so far, and am looking forward to using the camera on an upcoming sail around St. Martin. If you are seeking bang for your buck, this camera won't steer you wrong.

5-0 out of 5 stars a classic!
Back in 1983 (if you can believe it), I bought a used Casio SL-300 in a suburban garage sale... I had never heard of, nor seen, a solar powered anything... I thought it was miraculous! Those were the days of big lunky Texas Instrument units that took batteries. Today, I was just doing a search to see if I could find the original on the internet, and I see they're still making it, with only minor design modifications. Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars a good pocket camera
I brought this camera some time back and I have not regretted it. I was Just looking for a digital camera only, no voice, no movie, just something to take pictures and this camera at the price and resolution was pretty good. The pictures and resolution are great and the camera sturdy I also brought a 1 gig card for it and together they make a unstoppable pair almost 400 pics at high resolution, WOW! excellent! I think fo a shutter bug like my self. It will also print directly to printer or I can copy the images directly from it on my computer with out any additional software.

4-0 out of 5 stars Amazing for its price
This camera has probably the best and more solid metallic case I've ever seen. The quality of the materials used is incredible for a medium range camera. The 2" screen (huge) on the back is a little bit grainy, but it's very fast and with an high refresh rate. The software on the camera is pretty good, highly customizable, but as another user already pointed out, there is no way to change the shutter time. You MUST use a tripod if taking pictures during the night (if you're using bestshot and without the flash), and they're a little bit grainy too, but pictures taken during the day are just awesome (real 6MP); there is also the choice for taking "widescreen" pictures (3:2) and I love that!
4-0 out of 5 stars Good camera for daytime photos; not so good for night photos
This is a compact camera with solid metal construction.Startup times and shutter lag are extremely fast for a digital camera.Daytime and flash pictures are excellent.Macro pictures of flowers are pretty sharp.I'm also happy that the camera runs on AA batteries. Low light focusing is very good.Nightime pictures illuminated by street lights are okay when the camera automatically chooses a shutter speed of 1/8 sec and ISO of 250.However, anything darker than that requires the use of the nighttime scene best shot mode.Under nighttime scene best shot mode, the camera chooses a shutter speed greater than 1/8 sec.Often it may chose between 2-4 seconds, which means that one absolutely needs a tripod to avoid image blur caused by camera shake. It would have been nice if the camera offered manual control of the shutter and aperature settings because I can take reasonably shake-free photos up to a shutter speed of 1/2 sec and sometimes I don't want the camera to automatically chose a shutter speed longer than I think is necessary.Another annoyance is that the noise reduction system takes on average about ten seconds to process long exposure pictures. I suppose this frustration made me to return the camera and get a Canon A85 camera with manual controls instead even though the Canon A85 operates slower than the Casio QV-R62. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars great keyboard
I purchased my Casio lk 45 two weeks ago at Target mainly for my children to take up an instrument. It did come with a microphone, stand, and adapter.I purchased the Yamaha bench from Amazon to go with it.I understand it is not a full size keyboard, however, it sounds great and was a great value.Maybe we will upgrade after a we have mastered this one.I would suggest going to the store to buy a keyboard because you can make sure there is an adapter, stand and maybe some extras to go with it.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent
The electronic keyboard is never suppose to be a replacement for a piano - whoever it did become a piano one day for my parterner who is a musician. The casio keyboard produces good quality sound, that everyone can hear!I am not a piano player so the lighted keys have helped me learn the piano, all the other features on this keyboard make it an excellent bargain!
