Editorial Review

Just the ticket for sports events, camping, dorm rooms, or coffee breaks, Casio's EV-680 offers handheld TV quality and convenience. The set produces crisp, lively images using a 3-inch color, anti-glare, thin-film-transistor (TFT) active-matrix LCD with a 122,320-pixel screen (approximately 404 x 303). And, at about the size of a small stack of 3 x 5 cards, the TV slips easily into any purse or jacket pocket.Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars Good reciever but poor parts.
I live in a canyon. This is the only TV we own that will pick up the broadcast signal. There is no static in the sound and the picture quality can require some adjustment of the antenna position and the power cord (I purchased the AC adaptor separately, another $60-$70) but it does get pretty decent reception of local UHF and VHF stations. So I rate the receiver quality very high. What is driving me crazy is that the component that the AC adaptor plugs into is bad.I am constantly trying to position the cord so that the circuit is complete. If I tough it to change channel, chances are that it will turn off because I will have up set the delicate positioning where the connection is made.Since it does not remember the channel you were on every time I try to change channel you have to start from scratch on trying to keep the connection while you go through the channels. What a nuisance!I am looking to replace it because this is just too annoying. I have used it with batteries from time to time and that works well but it burns through them in no time.Buy lots of batteries if you want to use it that way. Also the plastic piece that makes it stand up on its own was constantly falling out and has cracked. This comes bare bones--no way to connect to cable, no head phones, no adaptor, etc.

4-0 out of 5 stars handy
This was a gift for my husband. He uses the TV when he is in his truck traveling. He likes it because it is color and small enough to go anywhere.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good enough!
Folks what do you expect from a portable tv!?It's working fine for me.Common sense tells me, it all depends on where you live. Some areas get good reception, some area don't.One trick, use the antenna and the antenna wires (most wires will do) at the same time.It does help.Compare to other portable tv's, this one is doing fine for me.Enjoy. ... 3-0 out of 5 stars Great sometimes, others...
The Casio fx-9750G PLUS is a great calculator for some things, terrible for others. Doing polynomial equations is simple, expecially when compared to a Texas Instruments' version. On the other hand, I have yet to figure out how to do a standard deviation. Keep in mind that if you're in high school, your course is almost definitely using a Texas - I can't tell you how many nights I've spent poring over the manual figuring out how to do the simplest of operations, while those with Texas Instruments know how to do it in a matter of minutes. If you're using it outside a formal math course in a situation that doesn't require too many complicated operations, it's a great calculator - I highly recommend. But if you're Pre-Calc or up, do yourself a favor and go grab a Texas.

This msg is posted on the 14 of June, 2005.Folks don't order this calculator if you need anytime before August 2005.I placed an order in end May, I am still waiting for the package.Late yesterday when I viewed my current orders, I noticed that the date when I am expected to receive this will be 5th of August 2005.Amazon still shows that the product will be shipped in 24 hours on its website.
4-0 out of 5 stars Black and White display, slow processing
I bought this version because it was cheap. It is very strong calculating machine compared to older generation but its lack of color and slow processing are great disadvantages. When you plot multiple graphs, the black and white display is a troubling. It is more so when you labor to spot the black tiny cursor on a black line. The slow processing is problematic during exam taking.

4-0 out of 5 stars Excellent little tv
I have owned and used the Casio SY30 for a few months now and have had no problems with reception, sound quality or picture quality. I think it's a great little television for the money. The only thing I would like to see changed is the tuner. It scans for best channels every time you turn it on, but that's not a major problem. I've seen some negative reviews and I wanted to add my positive opinion and experience with this excellent little tv.

I like the watch itself, but the clasp isn't so great. My husband, who has two black belts in karate (the kind where you break boards and such), had to wrestle around mightily to get the clasp to close for me.I would definitely have paid a few dollars more to have a better clasp--as it is, I like the watch enough that maybe I'll get it reset....

4-0 out of 5 stars Great little television
This tiny television works well, has amazingly clear picture, good sound, and picks up local stations better than my big TV.It does rip through batteries, so you'll wantto get two sets of rechargeable batteries and keep rotating them.My set has one pixel that is frequently white (when it should be in color), so I cannot give it give stars, but I would give it 4.5, if I could.

2-0 out of 5 stars Headache inducer!
This works just fine but the picture is so small that it gave me a headache after 45 minutes of viewing. Not for those susceptible to migraines. Also, it goes through batteries like a rabid raccoon goes through a dumpster. Mine lasted 2 hours. This may only be good for kids or sports nuts who can't be away from their tvs.

3-0 out of 5 stars A Step Back?
The earlier version of this label printer (KL-750) would allow you to print two lines on 9mm tape. This "upgrade" apparently does not. The 750 would automatically reduce the font size when you pressed the carriage return. I can't believe Casio would take away functionality like that. It can print two lines, but only on 12mm tape.
5-0 out of 5 stars Great Product - Cartridges expensive!
I've used a couple inexpensive label machines - and like this one by far.Full keyboard, pretty common sense function.

5-0 out of 5 stars i have worn casio watches for about 30 years
had identical watch for years so very familiar with watch. i knew what i wanted as my old one is misplaced but in bad shape from my years of abuse. i love that my "little black book" is on my wrist. i even keep phone #'s for pizza hut, electric company ect. saves a lot of time and grief. has a timer that will go off only once or continually starts another cycle over and over untul shut off. i have it set to go off every year on my anniversary. i do not have to reset it, it goes off every year at the same time. this feature alone can be a life saver to forgetfull guys and more than the cost of the watch in expensive resturants if you forgot your anniverary!!! only watch i will and have worn for 30 years. i ordered this late aug 25, they shipped it on the 26th from new york, i had it in florida on the 27th!!! talk about blazing shipping!!! will definitely deal with again!!!
4-0 out of 5 stars Good product - with two exceptions
I have had three of these watches in the past few years. They function well, do what they'e supposed to do, and are very helpful. However, the printed alphabetic characters underneath each button will wear off in about 18 months, after which you haved to memorize which button corresponds to which alpahbet character. Not as hard as you might think, but irritating.Secondly, the watch case pin holes where the watch band pin attaches the band to the case will tend to erode or pull out over time.I've had to replace one perfectly good watch because I couldn't get a replacement band to attach. ... 1-0 out of 5 stars Docking cradle stops working
I was fine with this camera until the docking cradle stopped working, essentially rendering the camera useless once the charge stopped. This conveniently happened 3 weeks before my baby is due, leaving me without a digital camera at a pretty important time. Casio customer service was NOT helpful - even though this appears to be a documented problem with this particular camera, I was still going to be forced to either shell out my own money for a new base (even though the camera is still under warranty) - or package the whole thing and send it off to California. Obviously not a great option because who knows how long it would be before the camera gets back to me in working order? I had an Olympus before we bought the Casio and after this experience we are going to purchase a new camera - one that does NOT come with a cradle (and not a Casio). If the customer service had been better we may not have come to this decision, but I don't want to be dependent on a company that has no flexibility whatsoever in their way of dealing with problems. My advice is to buy a camera that does not rely on a docking station... fewer parts that can break! Even though I was "lucky" mine quit while under warranty, I have seem other reviews online where it broke post-warranty and supposedly people had to pay $200 to fix it - more than the camera is worth at that point.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best Digital Camera Ever
I purchased this camera about a year ago, prior to a trip to London.I'd had a Canon Powershot previously. This camera outdid itself!I didn't have to charge the battery during my four-day trip to London, taking over 500 pictures. The screen size is amazing, though difficult to see when outside and it's at all bright. The camera is very user friendly, easy to set up and so easy to use.Since then, several people have ditched their old digital cameras to buy one of these.
5-0 out of 5 stars Super small & compact with great pics!
I bought this camera refirbished to take with me on vacation. After searching online for almost 2 months, this was the camera that kept popping up that had all the features that I was looking for at a price that I could afford. It has gone to Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Sandusky, Ohio and it has performed wonderful! It survived the heat and sand of the beach, and the heat and whatnot of the roller coasters at Cedar Point amusement park. The videos are great and the sound is amazing...Colors are great and very very clear! And I absolutely adore all the features it has to offer! The retro and black and whites are awesome, as well as the rest of the shot options...I got a great one of some fireworks! I love this camera, it is so easy to use, takes great pics, and is worth the money! ... Read more

Not that bad of a calculator. It graphs and calculate pretty good. However, It can be difficult to use because the key are confusing.Purchase with manual is better.

4-0 out of 5 stars First Graphic
I purchased mine for $49.Its suitable for any classes through college algebra. For trig you'll want to upgrade as it doesn't graph polar coordinates though it does convert rectangular to polar and back.If you needed to you could program it to input the (x,y) into a parametric graph and so display the results.1-0 out of 5 stars Memories?

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Little Camera
Got this camera almost a year ago.At first it took crisp, beautiful pictures, then several months ago, they started looking slightly out of focus, and many looked grainy and dark when i loaded them on the computer. This was really upsetting, and I thought it was broken.Called the support number in the paperwork, and very quickly got to a "live human" who instructed me on how to reset the camera back to factory specs.Voila!Took some test pictures, including one of my cat, and they were perfect!Even blew up the cat picture up close to cover my entire monitor screen and every little hair detail is perfect. The color is vibrant and true to life. For those who have complained that their pics are grainy and dark, try going to menu, then set-up, and scroll to reset and select it.It just may help.

5-0 out of 5 stars Nice, Cheap to use CD Printer
It does its job well.Prints simple designs.Allows you to work with fonts and is fairly cheap to use.The ribbons can be bought for $7.00 each (including tax and postage), and since I only print in one "area" (the top) I get close to 50 images from one ribbon.(47 to be exact -- I opened a used ribbon cassette and counted).Comes out to less than 15 cents a CD.Casio is up front about the number of images. The outside of their retail box states: "Each ink cassette allows printing of up to 40 areas".Their manual (which is available online -- so I read it before I bought the printer) states: "Number of Prints Per Ink Ribbon Cassette -- Upper or Lower Label Only; Approximately 40 prints -- Upper and Lower Label; Approximately 20 prints".The seven extra prints is an 18% bonus. When was the last time a company gave you more than they said they would? It does exactly what I bought it to do and does it well.I'm happy with it.

2-0 out of 5 stars Disappointing
Not easy to set-up.White printable surface CD just doesn't work.Besides broken text printing, the ribbon leaves black smudges on the white surface.I can't find many gauzy surface CD type ready available in store to print on this machine. Most CD with some printing already on and slightly textured surface does not work at all.

2-0 out of 5 stars Beware the hidden cost
I urge everyone to read N. Caine's review here. The printed discs look great, but this thing devours ink ribbons. Anyone who calls this an economical solution subscribes to a different theory of economics than I do.
