awesome scanner!
Great scanner! Sleek, fast, and well worth its money. Using the Canon Scanner Toolbox software [included] is key: you can scan it directly to to any program you designate [I use Photoshop], which I then use to tweak my scans. Within the toolbox, you can also scan it directly to printer, save, pdf, etc. There are also convenient buttons on the scanner itself - these are a bit sensitive and I accidentally pressed them a couple of times, but you can quickly cancel if that happens. I ignore the included software [Arcsoft] in favor of Photoshop because I prefer to edit my images myself in familiar territory. I scanned, edited, and saved 20 images at 300 dpi in less than an hour. The USB power connection is a great bonus! No warmup time whatsoever. It stays plugged into my front USB port - I can just plop a photo onto the scanner, open up the Toolbox, verify settings, and presto!
Sleek sexy scanner, but terrible software! Mac users avoid!
The CanoScan 600F is an incredibly sleek, thin and lightweight scanner.It's also quiet and can be used vertically.Another plus is that it requires no power cord.One simple USB cable provides both power and data transfer.It also has some remarkable automatic tools to restore faded photos. It can also remove dust and scratches by using a separate infrared scan. Pretty cool!
Great scanner, but included software isn't perfect
I've been waiting for this scanner to come since Canon's announcement last month.I originally purchased the 500f, but the film adapter was very disappointing in that you could only scan one negative at a time.The 600f will allow you to scan up to 6 at once.

A Gem of a Camera
I bought the Rebel EOS Digital XTi 400D to upgrade my almost 3-year old Rebel EOS Digital 300D (which, by the way, is still a great camera). I won't go into the technical differences between the two cameras, but I will say this: the differences between the two cameras are worth the cost of the upgrade for me. Here's why.

Not too bad!
The camcorder's quality is pretty good, however the picture quality isn't. I hate to say it, but even when it's on the best possible resolution, it's really "grainy", not like a shot from a regular digital camera. Other than that it's great!

Perfection slightly flawed
This is a fine little camera.Everything is as advertised and more, except for one glaring exception.The remote control is a plastic piece of junk with (at least in my case) an unopenable battery compartment. just okay
Overall, seems to work well for the price. I've had a few problems though. 1) Often the printer says it doesn't "recognize" an ink cartridge (one that came with the printer originally) and I have to turn it off and on again to get it to work. 2) I haven't figured out how to print on legal size paper... I think maybe it's not possible.3) Color quality is just so-so even on photo paper. I had a better experience with my old Epson that lasted me almost 10 years.
TERRIBLE RELIABILITY
Even though I have used my printer (a Pixma 5000) very lightly, it jams regularly on Canon photo paper and then spills ink everywhere. Today it went into "service error 5700" and it doesn't work any more, even after rebooting it five times.
NICE PRINTER BUT ONE BOTHERSOME FLAW ...
I recently bought this printer from Amazon, generally like it, but it has one problem: when I have not used printer for a time (1 - 7 days, this problem more likely & severe the longer it has been) colors are often very bad, eg no red at all, sometimes no red and no yellow, on first page or 2 that I print.After 1-2 pages everything works fine until printer is unused for another few-day period.This problem always leaves me the choice of reprinting 1 or 2 pages (spending precious time and draining expensive ink) or accepting a lousy looking printout.Note there may be a fix out there, I am too lazy/busy to hunt it down.And if you are running this printer long and hard, on a daily basis, you will probably not experience this problem.But if you use printer only for small and occasional jobs (say a 4 page job 3 times a week) I think this printer is a bad choice, you can probably get more dependable quality from a less expensive printer. ... Great little Camara
This is my first digital camcorder and so far so good.I'm very happy with it.Easy mode is great for beginners like my husband and kids.I love the auto mode where I have control of special effects etc..... I highly recommend and the price is pretty good.

Very satisfied.
We got this because it is compatible with MAC and iMovies. We are very pleased with the quality of pictures and ease of use. Lots of features we haven't explored yet but it easily does the job. We handed it over to our 11 year old and she did a great job with it, even with unsteady hands.

Great Camera
I have had digital cameras for about 5 years and still own an Olympus 5 megapixel, and a Casio 7 megapixel. Seems like Megamixels alone just don't cut it for me.

I am a severe novice at photography and do not know much on the subject but I really wanted to take better pictures of my boyfreind who does freetstyle motocross.I was having a hard time getting the timing down and getting a good zoom with my old camera and with this camera I have been getting some amazing pictures. At first when reading the manual I became extremely overwhelmed and scared that I made a bad decision.I still do not know what the fancy functions are and how to use them.But I did find that it is very user friendly if you just go with the automatic shooting modes. Must be a better machine
Replaced an old Sharp fax machine with what I thought was newer and better machine. WRONG!! if you don't baby it , it will not feed multiple pages. likes to pull two or three sheets at a time. What a pain! Other functions are not as intuitive as one would expect.

Absolute Junk
I purchased this model around 6 months ago, and the problems continue every day.This machine won't fax multiple pages...instead it likes to pull the whole 5 or 6 page set through at once, thus jamming and causing headache.Secondly, the machine likes to jam up while receiving.I am not the only one I know with these problems.

I had this video camera for a while and so far it has meet my expectations considering the price.I did not go for a DVD video camera because the price is still high considering the lower image quality. Also do not expect to record quality clips or pictures using the SD card. It is just a gimmick
GOOD CAMERA,,,butyou need some basic PC skills and common sense
This camera is great and intuitive...tons of features,,if you reduce the shutter speed it works well in low light conditions. If you are a complete moron like the guy above YOU WILL have problems with this camera. The instructions are pretty clear how to connect to a PC, but you need some basic skills.
Great camcorder for a great price
First off, I have ALWAYS loved Canon products and this camcorder is no exception.The documentation regarding transferring video to your computer is a little lacking but if you have a firewire card (or if you don't, you can get one from ebay for less than $20), it is Windows that does the actual transferring so it's pretty automatic.The camcorder is very intuative and it takes no time at all to start shooting like a pro (ok, maybe not a pro, but plenty good enough for the home user).Originally I was disappointed with the indoor shots but switching to night mode definitely cleaned up the image alot.I look forward to bringing this camcorder to Canada and Nigara Falls next month to record my honeymoon (well, not ALL of my honeymoon ;) ) ... My purchase from Amazon yielded a printer that had an issue. Canon promptly replaced with a brand new unit. The printer is plenty fast. Does a great job with text, nice and crisp, which is my primary concern whenever I purchase a printer. Printing on standard paper my photos look great. Looking forward to trying them on photo paper and I i
