5-0 out of 5 stars IT is great!
I use it for my s70..
5-0 out of 5 stars Great little remote
Great for using with a tripod, now you can be in the pictures too.

1-0 out of 5 stars Awful In so many ways
I got this for my S70. First off, in order to use it, you have to set the S70 to "radio control" (about 9 button pushes). Then you had better stay no further away than six feet or so (and only in *front* of the camera-the remote doesn't work from the rear!). Oh, and if you want to adjust your framing, forget it-the zoom is immobilized.

5-0 out of 5 stars A really sweet long lens
I've been using this lens about six years. In all that time, I can't remember ever shooting at any aperture smaller than f/5.6.It's amazingly sharp wide open and I've never had any reason to stop it down. When I first bought it, I used it on a tripod almost all the time. These days, I've started using it handheld and I can appreciate how well it handles. In good light, autofocus is fast and accurate. In low brightness and low contrast light, it gets a little slow and sometimes hunts. Not a real problem, just switch off the autofocus and use the superb manual focus ring.Images snap in and out of focus easily whether you do the focusing or you let the lens do it.
5-0 out of 5 stars One of Canon's Classic prime L's
I've had this lens for about two weeks and it is truly one of Canon's classic L primes.I got it for nature shoots and it has produced "WOW" results. Don't worry about the f/5.6. It's as sharp at that as many lenses are a f/8.It's in the class of the 35L and the 135L.

5-0 out of 5 stars Just a great lens!
I have ordert this lens, and i am convinsed i have made the right choise.. I have read many reviews about this lens, and all what people said about it have come true.. Its very sharp and you don't need to stop it down to get better results. Straight from aperture 5.6 it is razorsharp! Light and well build and the build in hood is splended!

5-0 out of 5 stars Don't confuse the DC coupler for battery
I guess the reason for using a DC coupler in same slot as the battery pack is to save space, although it would be more convenient to have it built-in to the camera so I don't need to take out the battery when connecting it to AC.Other than that the AC adapter kit works great for me.I just followed the instructions on Using an AC Adapter Kit in the appendices of my SD100 user guide.

4-0 out of 5 stars Nice bag but too small for MacBook Pro
This bag is designed to carry a notebook in addition to your camera gear. But it was just a bit too small to fit my MacBook Pro. I could make it fit but the sides of the bag would bulge out and it did not feel like the laptop was protected. Good for notebook computers up to 13 inches wide (MacBook Pro is 14.1 inches wide). I had to return it (the bag not the computer) :-( ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Deal on Accessories for Older Canon ELPH Cameras
I bought last year's model of the Canon ELPH series because it has a CF card rather than an SD card. When I needed an extra battery, I found that for a genuine Canon battery, this kit was cheaper than just the battery alone. The small leather case is nice too, and you get the large handbag case for free as well.Throw in Amazon's super saver shiping, and this deal can't be beat. Just make sure this is the right accessory kit for your camera. It doesn't fit the current models.

4-0 out of 5 stars Can someone tell me are they genuine Canon battery and camera case?
Can someone who bought the kit from ADORAMA tell me:

4-0 out of 5 stars Works well.
Works as advertised. Be aware that when using the flash with the lens it will cast a shadow in the picture. Also your view through the view finder will be partially blocked, but you can always use the LCD screen.

5-0 out of 5 stars Wide Angle Fun
First off this is a fun accessory for my A95 and A80. At about 26mm lens you can shoot some very nice wide angle landscapes to close-ups for under $100. The lens is sharp and is a nice piece of coated class. Once mounted you zoom lens works inside the adapter so you probably have a 26mm to 40mm (total guess)zoom lens. Yes it does have barrel distortion, yes it does stick out and block the flash, yes it is black and it does look a bit dorky on the camera. So either go buy a digital rebel and a 19-35 zoom for over $1000 or correct the barrel distortion in your image editing program, use a slaved flash for indoor shooting (manual mode only) and paint it silver.
3-0 out of 5 stars Beware - LEAVE IT OFF when taking panoramas
To add to the precedent astute comments - the barrel distortion will prove a particularly nasty surprise if you happen to leave the lens on when taking panoramic shots - it will likely render the photo-stitching software useless and you will spend hours prodding and stitching the pics together yourself.I found this out the hard way after coming back from a Paris vacation with 50+ panoramas! ... Editorial Review

The Canon EF 24-85mm f/3.5-4.5 USM lens has multiple moving lens groups that enhance image quality and make the whole system more compact and lightweight. This lens uses an ultrasonic focusing motor (USM) that gives you silent, high-speed autofocusing. Canon eliminated all the mechanical couplings in this lens and added a custom-designed autofocus motor as well as a microprocessor.Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars High quality mid-grade consumer lens
The Canon 24-85 lens is a fantastic lens...as long as you shoot pictures knowing its limitations. The first thing to remember is that unless you want to shell out the money for an "L" series lens, you are not going to get perfectly sharp pictures with the lens wide open (meaning at f/3.5 in this lenses case). You need to step it down to about f/6.3-f/7.1 for the crystal clear pictures.I tried shooting pictures at wide angle while wide open, and I ran into the problems that another reviewer discussed - namely soft pictures.Stepped down, I get pictures that rival the quality of my 50 f/1.8 (aka the "nifty fifty" or "plastic fantastic").It is also very light, and according to numerous reviews I have read, has outstanding center performance. This is a big deal on a crop camera, because it only uses the center part of the lens, anyway. So, if you have a 10, 20, 30, 300, or 350D, this lens should be a winner for you.
4-0 out of 5 stars Beginners: Good lens but don't buy it!
I bought my first SLR camera about two and a half years ago ( a Rebel K2 film camera with kit lens ) before the birth of my daughter. As I became more familiar with photography and hungrier for better picture quality I bought the very cheap 50mm f/1.8 lens and was impressed by how much better the picture quality was.
2-0 out of 5 stars not up to specs
I was very disappointed with this lens. It has a very cheap feel and the image quality was terrible. I was only able to test it with my Canon 20d and not with film. I couldn't believe how lousy it was, I had read some other reviews and they seemed positive. I tried it on a tripod and shot a variety of things text and 3-D objects and never could pull a sharp photo. I noticed that I had to use a lot more unsharp mask than normal to be useable. I tend to use primes a lot and so maybe I expected to much. ... Read more

3-0 out of 5 stars I'm sending it back.
I bought this lens for use on my 80-400mm lens. Since the 80-400 has a minimum focusing distance of like 8 feet, I thought the 500D would help get me in closer, even though I can get great closeups from 8ft at 400mm. But what the 500D does is give you an extremely limited focusing range, and focusing is easier accomplished by moving the camera than the focusing ring, which kind of defeats the benefit of having it on a long lens. Am I making sense?

5-0 out of 5 stars Up Close and Personal ...
The Canon 500D 77mm Close Up Lens does the job for getting up close and personal. Highly recommended for macro if you have a 77mm lens. I use my Canon 20D DSLR and the Canon 100-400mm IS USM and the 500D works great with them.

It worked well but I am not sure what its function is.It seems to me that the camera could have been designed so that the zoom lens could fit without having to attach an adapter. The problem is that you have to remove the existing cowling from the camera and hope you do not loose it (which I almost did).

4-0 out of 5 stars Works great but too expensive
The adapter works easily, snapping on and off in seconds. It's large but very lightweight. My complaint is this is simply a piece of plastic which could not cost Canon more than 10 cents.Shame on Canon for charging close to $20 rather than including it with the camera for free.

5-0 out of 5 stars Super "L" Lens, Price not too Bad Either
There is nothing like a telephoto to bring boats at anchor up close when you're halfway up a mountain. I got a great shot in Tahiti just that way with just this lense and a friend of mine used it on the cover of her romance novel. It's true the lense is heavy. Canon says it weighs 1.7 pounds, but it seems heavier. No matter though, because you won't have to go to the gym if you heft this baby around for awhile, and as a side benifit, you'll get crisper, sharper photos then you would with any other 200mm out there today. Just think of it as body building and photo shooting both at the same time. Also this one won't break your wallet.
5-0 out of 5 stars An "L" Tele for a reasonable price
Canon L lenses are known for their great optics and priceyness. This fast tele is an excellent value. The only thing that would improve this lens would be the addition of the image stabilizion feature found on a few Canon optics.Of course, the advantage of large aperature lenses is that you can set a fast shutter speed and still have enough light for a shot. This lens is surprisingly compact, (as long focal length teles go).The autofocus is very fast and quiet.Comes with a hood, too.

5-0 out of 5 stars The problem is not with the product
The previous review is not completely correct. The problem is not with the product but with the description what amazon.com put up for the Canon CPM-E3 Battery Magazine. Lens hoods are primarily designed to prevent unwanted stray light from entering by extending and shading the end of the lens, ensuring no problems with vignetting or motor functions. Additionally, since the end of the lens is extended, you also get the added benefit of some extra protection from accidental impact. Lens hoods match the specific focal length of the lens it was designed for.Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Improves contrast and image quality
Hoods offer several benefits to the photographer.Primarily the hood shades the lens from stray light that may result in an unwanted discoloration or hazing of the image, or the appearance of lens flare.Shading your lens helps improve contrast and image quality.A hood is not required to eliminate these problems, as any item used to shade the lens will provide the same protection from stray light. The hood is convenient in that it is built to offer protection while ensuring that it will not inadvertently find its way into your image.

The Canon LA-DC58 conversion lens adapter lets you use specially made Canon conversion lenses and 58mm filters. To use the converter, remove the ring around the lens and screw the adapter into place. 1-0 out of 5 stars This dont work with G3
I bought this accesory thinkingthat itwas compatible with the Canon powershot G3 (because it is in the list of accesories for this camera) but it doesnt work with the G3. Buyers beware. If you have a G3 you should buy a LA-DC58B instead.

2-0 out of 5 stars My [two cents worth]
I have this adapter just in the need that I want to use the special effect filters..it serves this purpose very well, however, I've also noticed some drawbacks that annoy me quite often.4-0 out of 5 stars Good if you have 58mm filters and Canon SLR Camera
This lens adapter has some advantages: 1- Wide opening (58mm) so reduce vignetting 2- Same filter size for Canon SLR like ELAN 7E, thus same filter set can be used for both Digital and film. 3- You can always keep it on the camera with an UV adapter, protecting your lens, don't forget the cap. Disadvantages: 1- Blocks viewfinder, you have to use LCD, which I always do because viewfinder never shows %100 coverage of real shot. 2- Blocks a slight portion of low light sensor, but I did some tests, it does not have much blockage and low light sensor works OK in my camera with this converter attached. 3- Blocks microphone, I did not test the effect of converter on microphone. Some notes: If you buy this converter, don't buy a non-coated filter because camera has an excellent coated lens, and you don't want to reduce your image quality with a [price] lens. Go for a [price] B+W or at least double coated hoya filter. ... Read more
