Finally!
After trying out seven different 37mm telephoto lenses for my camcorder, this one does the job.The price was higher than I wanted to pay, however, this one offers a very crisp shot without the blurred distortion of the other telephotos I tried.There is some slight color distortion, but it's only noticable in digital still shots that are blown up.For a 3x5 photo, it looks fine, and it's definitely clean enough for video.This lens joins my Sony Wide-Angle in my bag, and they are both very high quality glasses.I highly recommend this lens if you can afford the price tag, as you won't be disappointed.I can now sit in my seat at the Chargers games and take video and still shots that make one think I was down on the field.Nice! ... So far So good
Charged it overnight when it came in, used it for about 30 minutes, put the camera away for 2 weeks or so.When I came back it still had a charge, which is far different than the NiCad that comes from the camera mufacturer.It is considerably heavier than the NiCad battery of the same size, but at least it works. ... Impossible
To use the Elura 2 or 2 MC effectively you have to have the BP-422 or a third party battery. The standard battery is quite pathetic. If you have the big LCD screen open, you can literally see the battery life draining away as you shoot. Maybe 20 Min of life. Just sad.

The whole reason for buying an Elura is it's SMALL.Same thing for this battery. Battery life is a joke!
Unless you have 5 of these batteries, you cannot even shoot a 60 minute tape. It is preposterous -- to have this battery as the standard for this video camera. ... Read more
