I only had the thin Canon battery coming with my Elura 2.On average I could take about 30min video before the battery drys. This battery lasts forever!I haven't had a chance to completely dry it up yet.The best part is that it doesn't feel that big at all as I was concened about the big size. Read more

Well constructed, but color distortion
This is a very well constructed lens, of glass and aluminum.Though heavy on the front of my Sony DCR-PC330, it does provide a very nice wide angle view.However, I have seen some very noticable color bleeding at the edges of both video and still photos, most noticable in the stills.This "rainbow" effect on hard edges is very distracting.
The best piece in my camera bag!
Originally, I purchased the Raynox DVR-5000 wide-angle, which, needless to say, I was unimpressed with.I had purchased it in order to save money, and literally ended up throwing it in the trash.So, I ordered this Sony lens to go on my Sony DCR-PC330.I love it so much, that I don't shoot anything without it.At .45X, it more than doubles the field of vision, and when shooting in 16:9 widescreen, it definitely makes my footage appear to be cinema-quality.Just as an example for the increase in field, I was at a football game this weekend.In the parking lot was an RV that took up exactly two parking spaces in length.Standing just one parking space away, I was able to fit the entire RV into my shot.
