1-0 out of 5 stars Not a good product.
These binoculars are horrible.First off, the software is way too complex (and I am a software engineer so I know it doesn't need to be that way).My dad, who is good with computers, couldn't even get the pictures off the camera. And of course the ONLY way to get the pictures of the camera is through the Roxio software (i.e no way of browising to the pictures). But the worst thing is the picture quality. The picture my dad took of deer were all dark and blurry.I thought maybe it was him taking pictures wrong, so I took some pictures at my well-lit workplace.COMPLETE GARBAGE!So,If you buy this after reading this review then I think that you and these binoculars are a perfect match.BTW, I have the camera binoculars from Simmons, which are not that great, but at least they are functional, which is light years ahead of these Bushnell ones.

2-0 out of 5 stars NOT WHAT I EXPECTED
i didnt like the product as it had no screen to review the pictures and had problems getting it to download to the computer

2-0 out of 5 stars very disappointed
I bought this over the summer, and as an ecologist and bird enthusiest, I wanted a good pair of binoculars with a camera built in so I can capture good shots of birds in their natural habitat. The magnification was pretty good, I could see things from a pretty far distance. However, every single one of my pictures that I took were very blurry.Being that its almost impossible to stand perfectly still or to NOT shake or move at all, these are not functional camera binoculars if you cant get a clear picture. Especially when you'rein the field and want to get a quick shot. The only way to get a clear shot is to put it on a tripod, and thats too much trouble and not possible when out in the field and you come across a great photo opportunity.By the time you set up everything, its too late!More thought needs to be put into these products before manufacturing them. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars WAY COOL!
We just got these for a trip to Alaska. I LOVE them! They are so easy to share. The sharpness of the image is AMAZING! My Dad wears glasses and I don't. No problem. We can both see CLEARLY! The amazing part is he doesn't need to have his glasses on! My husbands eyesight is completely different than mine, same story.Very cool item! Very well constructed. Highly recommended!

4-0 out of 5 stars I love these!
These binocs are very similar to the ones they replaced that cost 5x as much. The old ones got tossed because they were showing a double image after living in my backpack for 2 years or so.The Bushnells may or may not have the quality of optics that the more expensive units did but the "Permafocus" or infinite depth focus makes it so you just pick them up and look.If what you are looking at is further than about 75' away it will be clear. This is really great when multiple users are using them as you don't have to reconfigure them for each persons eyes.It is also good for scanning a wide area as you don't have to adjust focus for close or far. This also makes them great for watching sports where things move fast.
4-0 out of 5 stars Convenient in focus but large, heavy
If you want to catch something in the binoculars quickly without fooling around trying to focus... this is it.We live on a lake and we always have something in the wild to catch our eye. This has been very beneficial to have the focus there at all times. They are a bit bulky and somewhat heavy but an excellent pair of binoculars. The "shake" with the power is not bad like we thought it would be.I can not say enough about Bushnell as a company. They support and back their products like I have never seen in ANY other company.I will ALWAYS buy this brand from now on because of this. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Very good compact binoc
The first thing i thought when I opened the package was - "WOW, this binocular is really tiny". I had not expected it to be this small. I am an avid birder and wanted to try it out at once. So off I went bird hunting with my Bushnell and i was really awestruck by the power this little guy packs in. The images are nice, bright and crisp. I was amazed at the 10x magnification. I was looking at some humming birds around 40 feet away and for the first time it looked like a completely different bigger bird with the same colours :-). It is however pretty difficult to hold this tiny guy steady enough with the 10x magnification. I would advice the 8x to anyone who is buying it for birding. The eye relief for this binoc is not excellent, you have to have your eyes aligned straight and as close to the eyepiece as possible other wise you tend to lose a lot of field of view. You do have soft roll back eye cups, but I advice you to keep them on since it prevents lens smudging. The binocs come with only eyepiece caps, I wish it had caps for the objective lenses too.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good glasses to have in the canoe
My goal was to have an relatively inexpensive pair of binoculars to have with me in my canoe whenever I paddle. This pair has filled that need admirably. For my purpose the waterproof feature was necessary. The small lens lets in plenty if light during the day so that has not been a problem; I suppose there is a point towards getting dark that these would not work well but a better larger lens pair would, but certainly not at this price.I would like a slightly larger field of vision, and perhaps more weight would make holding them steady easier, but as noted for my use these are fine; mainly getting a better look at birds in the distance. Small and light makes them easy to keep around.

1-0 out of 5 stars H2O Binoculars
Very poor lenses.I have $12 binoculars that have better optical quality. Also, the diopter keeps loosing its setting.I would love to have my money back. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Hunting, Birds & People all look good thru this Scope
I purchased this scope for hunting but found it to be great at all aspects of observation.I have had great results in using this scope for spoting deer, turkey, even an occasional bob cat.It is versital, not to heavy but able to seek out and bring close that which is out of reach.I wear glasses and the option for using the eye piece with them is very helpful when trying to locate and focus on a certain object or positions before viewing them through the scope. With the tripod it is a great stable platform for getting the view you are wanting to see.I plan to purchase the camera adapter so as to be able to photograph many of the things I love to track and view.Highly recomend the purchase and use of this telescope. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars GREAT little binocular!
I've had this binocular for several years and LOVE it!The extra wide view is the cat's meow when you're trying to see the big picture! It's easy to focus; has the extendable pieces to protect my glasses lenses; and provides a very clear view. The only thing I've used it for is to watch the critters in and near the water (whales, eagles, etc.), and it is everything I've always wanted in a binocular!I've always had trouble focusing and finding things with the bigger binoculars that don't show much through the lenses. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Best for those who hit with consistency
I've had my Bushnell Yardage Pro Tour XL for 2 months/12 rounds and it works as advertised. I really like it.On par 3's my playing partners wait for my yardage call.I usually sight in on the flag but slopes, bunkers, and trees work well also. The flag becomes quite small sighting from around 200 yds, and I usually find sitting down helps me steady the rangefinder better when sighting the flag at longer distances (sighting bunkers are no problem). This is a great device for driving ranges, and it is now much easier to play courses I've never played with better scores because my approach shots are stopping closer to the hole. Now I usually don't bother consulting course posted yardages and this speeds up play.A golfer who hits most shots solidly would probably benefit most from this device (my hdcp index is 3-5).Also, this model uses a common 9 volt battery which costs about $1.After numerous trips to the driving range,I have not changed batteries yet.So far, it is rugged enough to be unaffected by all the jostling it gets.Long term durability is unknown.Currently you can't use this device in tournaments because it is illegal under USGA rules. We hope in the future that the USGA will listen to common sense and allow range finders because yardages on golf courses have become common knowledge. Most amateur tournaments give front/back to green and pin yardages and pro caddies always use exact measurements to bunkers, pins, and greens. With this device you will always swing knowing the exact yardage.

2-0 out of 5 stars Works great...but too big
Very cumbersome to use.It is so big you have use both hands to hold it steady, you also have to remove your hat because it will not fit under the bill of a golf/baseball hat.Forget about putting it in your pocket or clipping it onto your belt....you would not be able to swing.I felt like I was bird watching on the course the few times I used it...though it did provide accurate yardages.

4-0 out of 5 stars Excellent--BUT
This is an excellent device that gives accurate distances on the golf course. It will measure to the pin, a bunker, or any other surface perpendicular to the direction in which you want to go.Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Closest thing to a Telescope
This spotting scope from Bushnell is an excellent buy if you are an outdoors person or if you like watching the world from your window.
3-0 out of 5 stars Product information incorrect - No Hard Side Carrying Case
I bought this spotting scope as a gift for my husband and one of his requirements was that it include a hard-side carrying case.Listed in the features section above it says "Hard-side and compact soft-side carrying cases included".5-0 out of 5 stars Magni-ficent
Proving that there's life in the old dog yet, Bushnell have come up with this, the successor to the out-dated, poor-performing Trophy Splashproof Spotting Scope, and I have to say, it's a fantastic improvement. As soon as I took it out of the box I was impressed with its styling, shape, colour, and of course, waterproofness. I set it up in my front room and spent a happy couple of hours watching my neighbours coming and going, and they were oblivious to my surveillance. It's not the most subtle 'scope out there but stick a blanket over your head and you're laughing. Any one who has been caught out in the rain will appreciate this little beauties moulded plastic housing, as water really does roll off it like, erm, water off a duck's back. Stunning. ...
