an unacceptably bad binocular regardless of how low the price
Pros:
Decent cheap optics, but focus problems are a pain
I bought these for deer hunting a couple of years ago because they were inexpensive, small and had decent magnification.The size and the price were the main draw, and I knew that I would was not buying an excellent set of binoculars.My usual range for viewing is 75 - 150 yards, and these work well in that range.They work well enough in low light conditions, but I'm sure that more expensive models do a much better job.
Experienced Only
I found these Binoculars to be well worth the money & a bargin at that! They are of excellent quality for the money. These are not for weekend bird watchers, short range hunters, shakey handed people, or boaters. They are excellent for long range posted hunters, during legal hunting hours on non running game. If you can't steady these, your not gonna hit what your aiming at anyway. I wear eyeglasses and focusing without use of my glasses excellent. The only improvement would be a stand attachment for use at the range, but this could effect the compactness of this item. P.S Hunt safely & know your back stop! ... Read more

Good for the money, however....
As an owner of this particular telescope, and a very-much-amateur astronomer I have a few tips to help you get the most out of your instrument.
This is pretty great!
I think this telescope is pretty great because it has equatorial mount and manufactured by a company that is expert on telescopes (so you can trust it).But it is not so good because of its weight (246 pounds).Equatorial mount is a type of mounting the compensate the Earth's rotation, making the telescope easier to follow the objects in the sky.It's also a reflector, my favorite type of telescope between the two main types of optical telescopes (reflector and relractor).It's excellent for observing very faint objects, such as nubulas.Most refractors cannot observe these faint objects because it's lens absorb precious light.However, reflecters use mirrors and mirrors reflect light instead aborbing it.I recommend this telescope for begininers, intermediate, and between intermediate and experts. ... Solid performance for value price
Purchased this unit new for $160.Good performance - with a little practice, was getting readings well over 800 yards, even in bright sunlight.Also like the fact that it uses standard AAA cells.
Good Product, worth the money
Picked up a Bushnell Yardage Pro 1000 Laser Rangefinder used online at another site for alittle less than half the new price.
Do not Purchase
My hunting buddy purchased a Nikon 800. My intent was to put him in the shade. That Nikon kicks the crap out of my Bushnell Yardage Pro 1000. Tried new batteries, tried bluffing, even tried to lie but nothing helped this product past 500/600 yards.

one flaw
I used the image view to take 17 really good pictures.However, holding the binoculars in my hand as I walked to the beach, somewhere along the way the on/off switch simply fell out!I returned it for full credit but I would rather have had another pair.They were not in stock.

Cash for Trash
The optics used in these binoculars are semi-sharp in the middle and blurry around the edges, the quality of the images lack contrast and the life of the camera can be measured in weeks. Avoid Bushnell products in general. The optical quality has been horrible in every pair of binocs I've ever purchased (though I did like one of their easy focusing systems). On one pair, the images didn't even line up and it's not worth the postage to have them returned.
Great Fun, Great Pix, some limitations

WAY COOL!
We just got these for a trip to Alaska. I LOVE them! They are so easy to share. The sharpness of the image is AMAZING! My Dad wears glasses and I don't. No problem. We can both see CLEARLY! The amazing part is he doesn't need to have his glasses on! My husbands eyesight is completely different than mine, same story.Very cool item! Very well constructed. Highly recommended!

I love these!
These binocs are very similar to the ones they replaced that cost 5x as much.The old ones got tossed because they were showing a double image after living in my backpack for 2 years or so.The Bushnells may or may not have the quality of optics that the more expensive units did but the "Permafocus" or infinite depth focus makes it so you just pick them up and look.If what you are looking at is further than about 75' away it will be clear.This is really great when multiple users are using them as you don't have to reconfigure them for each persons eyes.It is also good for scanning a wide area as you don't have to adjust focus for close or far.This also makes them great for watching sports where things move fast.
Convenient in focus but large, heavy
If you want to catch something in the binoculars quickly without fooling around trying to focus... this is it.We live on a lake and we always have something in the wild to catch our eye.This has been very beneficial to have the focus there at all times.They are a bit bulky and somewhat heavy but an excellent pair of binoculars.The "shake" with the power is not bad like we thought it would be.I can not say enough about Bushnell as a company.They support and back their products like I have never seen in ANY other company.I will ALWAYS buy this brand from now on because of this. ... Very disappointed
I am Very disappointed with the quality of the pictures. This is the second one I try. Time to get my money back. Lucky for me I bought it at LL Bean. 100% satisfaction or your money back.
Bad photos, Bad Battery Life
The quality of the photos taken by this camera are abysmal.Outdoors, indoors, bright light, low light, it didn't matter.The only remotely acceptable images captured by this camera came after mounting the body to a tripod and shooting a nearby stationary object under controlled lighting. Great Combination of Features
This binocular is inexpensive, fairly compact, has insta-focus, and most importantly...it has a zoom! You can go from 7X magnification to 15X magnification, which is perfect from anything to a wide view to getting really really close.Great construction and durability, I am really pleased with it.

Great value
I've had no problems with these binoculars whatsoever.Once the lenses are adjusted to each eye (all decent binoculars have this feature, a lot of people overlook it) the views are outstanding and crystal clear with excellent brightness.The rain/fogproof claim is a good one, I've taken them through heavey snow and rain and they've performed great.
