4-0 out of 5 stars Pleasantly surprised.
The image is bright and sharp.Only a thin edge of blur around the outer lense, but its barely noticable or in the field of view. They're extremely easy and quick to use.The focus wheel is smooth, fast, and precise.I prefer their lite weight, but I have to plant an elbow or lean against some thing to prevent shake. The bins are smaller than I imagined. They're easy to hold and feel secure in my hands. They are cheapest in online auctions. 2/3 the cost of most web sites.I'm extremely happy with these.

5-0 out of 5 stars Better Optics Make Better Birders. These Make You Better
After hinting for some time to my fiance, I was thrilled to receive these as a Christmas gift.I've used them over the past few weeks and have been thrilled with the quality of the optics.Scrutinizing some Bohemian Waxwings from 30 feet away revealed great detail and color richness. The adjustable locking eye cups are a great feature. The hard rubber exterior is strong and offers a good grip. The only negative review I have to offer is similar to others; the lens caps are cheap and are beneath the level of these fine binoculars. For the money I challenge anyone to find a better pair.

5-0 out of 5 stars Tack sharp, lightweight and well worth owning.
I did alot of research before deciding on this pair. As an experienced photographer, optical quality was my top priority.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great product
For the price, these binoculars provide unparallel carity and easy focus.I like these binoculars so much that I showed them to a couple of co-workers right away. One of them was so impressed that he ordered one for his cousin's birthday.Great product, highly recommended.

5-0 out of 5 stars Better than expected!
I ordered these binoculars for my husband's birthday. They arrived promptly and in excellent condition; well packed. We both were surprised by how powerful they are and easy to use, WOW! Very, very pleased. They are very light weight (nice for these old arthritic arms and hands). The only possible drawback is that they are not waterproof and need to be kept dry at all times, so DH will not be able to take them along on fishing trips unless he double zipper lock bags them. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Lightweight Champion
Purchased for a trip to St.Louis.Could clearly see players in the dugout from upper deck.Carrying pouch is lightweight and easily sits on your belt. The perfect traveler for me.

5-0 out of 5 stars Just what I needed for birding
This is the binocular for me.I've spent much time researching. And knowing nothing about binoculars, it wasn't an easy job.I didn't know a roof lens from a any other lens. But I did my homework and liked everything this one offered.I have macular degeneration and had some reservations.I can see my feathered friends really good now.
4-0 out of 5 stars Good mini-binoc's, small FOV
Very good binoculars, very pleased.I knew going in that as power increases, the ability to hold the binoculars steady becomes increasingly difficult. These aren't bad.Field of view is narrow, that's only complaint and with the otherwise product quality, it's minor. ... Read more

The Nikon Action was my first pair of binocular's. After researching for hours I purchase these and they worked great. You can use the 10X zoom to look for objects like bear, dear, birds, etc. and then zoom in with 22X zoom. The lens are pretty clear. Very satisfied.

4-0 out of 5 stars Simple, Light Weight and Always Ready
An excellent quality for the price pair of binoculars.Very light-weight, easy to adjust and perfect for baseball games.I was tired of lugging an old pair of 8X24 binocs to baseball games and these Nikons are exactly what I needed. They do not get 5 stars because the package only includes protective covers for the eyepieces and not the lens.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent!
I bought this binocular for music concerts. The foucus is clear and the eye fatigue for long time use is minimal. A good binocular for me.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent quality for price
The binoculars offer clear magnification over an acceptably wide field. They are compact enough to carry and use for both watching baseball and football games as well as for slipping into a backpack for field use. The price is definitely a bargain for the quality. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars The Best Binocular for a Baseball Game
This is one of the best binocular out there for its price. Highly recommended.

5-0 out of 5 stars Tough and robust,
these binoculars from Nikon are excellent, providing a great depth of vision and magnification. There's no colour leaching, or bleed, and the rubber diaphragm cap is securely fitted to avoid any over exposure. The bracket and adjusting screw retract smoothly into the lens housing, and the faux-leather carrying case loops nicely over either shoulder. The strap is particularly hard-wearing and does not bite into the flesh, providing a thick sweatshirt is worn. A fetching electric blue colour, the lenses are clean and speck free, granulated glass providing a rich, diverse prism and optical effect. An excellent all round binocular for taking to the races, the opera, or to the football match. Probably best suited to bird-watching, though. All in all, excellent. ... Read more

Although I don't have a lot of experience with good binoculars, the Nikon Action Extreme has impressed me with its quality, image brightness, field of view, and image sharpness. It's a fairly large binocular and will tire your arms after extended handheld use. An excellent value for the price.

4-0 out of 5 stars here is what i think
A caveat for kindred esthetes: my excitement in owning a silk tripod overshot my reading comprehension. This is a "slik tripod." As a previous reviewer noted this is not made clear on the product description. I must admit I couldn't even begin to fathom what a silk tripod would be like, nor whether it would prove sturdy enough to support this product, but it certainly appealed to my finer sensibilities.
5-0 out of 5 stars Outstanding product
Great quality of vision, comes complete with tripod, a padded carrying case that opens so that it does not have to be removed to use the scope and zoom lens.
5-0 out of 5 stars Brings the Maine islands alive!
I purchased this for my Dad for Father's Day, and he has not stopped raving about it.He can now look out his window in coastal Maine and read the names of sloops rounding islands far offshore. The price was so good, I hoped it wouldn't turn out to be cheaply made.Thankfully, the optics are powerful, and the housing is sturdily built for years of use.Note that a good tripod is included (not made clear on the product detail page).I'm VERY pleased with this purchase. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars One of the best, if not the best
I researched binoculars for 2 years before I purchased these.I have a good pair of 10x42 that I have used for 6 years, but there were three problems with them. 1) field of view (and they have a very wide field of view) 2) no locking diopter adjustment (more of a pain than you can imagine 3) not waterproof (this has never been a problem but better safe than sorry).

5-0 out of 5 stars a window on a new world
As a medical doctor somewhat unwillingly dragged in IT by the accidents of life, I suffer from frequent bouts of nostalgia, remembering fondly the time where I was studying life sciences. That's during one of those episode that I bought this gadget, thinking it would probably end up gathering dust on a shelve. Boy, I was wrong! The microscope is so light and well designed that it can be taken anywhere. It is up and running in a few seconds, it's waterproof and it is sturdy. Its optical quality is beyond reproach. 5-0 out of 5 stars Not Waterproof - Confirmed Through Nikon USA
The Nikon Premier SE 8x32 binoculars are NOT!!! waterproof. This was confirmed through Nikon USA customer support.Nevertheless, it is a top of the line optics binocular.

5-0 out of 5 stars The SE is Waterproof!
I thought it would be useful for the reader if I wrote this note as an addendum to the two previous reviews. The two previous reviews are for the Nikon Superior E binocular which is an exceptional glass but is not waterproof as stated. The Nikon Premier SE is the replacement model for the Superior E and is almost identical in every respect except that it is now nitrogen filled and is waterproof. I hope this clarification helps.

5-0 out of 5 stars Astonishing image quality and brightness!
It is rare to find a pair of binoculars with the brightness, sharpness and clarity of the Nikon Superior E!This piece of equipment is truly amazing! It provides such a crisp, true-to-life image without color distortions or image degradation on the edge of the view. For its price, the image these produce is unparalleled.Throw in the wide field of view (the size of the "window" you look through) and a large depth of field (the amount of distance that can be focused on at one time) and you have a binocular that offers one of the very best images optics can produce.
