THIS CAMERA IS HORRIBLE!!!!!!!
I bought this camera my birthday and thought it was great. A couple months later, I began to notice that the sound skips, and it would constantly eat tapes. And then it goes on some sort of safety mode where it wont let you do anything on the camera because it thinks it might break itself. And whats up with all that extra space around the flip screen? I should have done more research before I bought this camera, and now im paying the price.

BRILLIANT!!!
I can't say enough good things about this camcorder.I've made a Las Vegas documentary, a skateboard movie, and simple home movies with it.Not only that, I managed to make them look professional.It transfers video without flaw onto the software I use to make movies (Windows Movie Maker) and also makes flawless re-transfers back onto the tape.Using an SD card, it can be used as a digital camera (albeit a very low quality one... it's still-pic mode is only .5 megapixels). This is an excellent camcorder. I have had mine for a about a year and I have had no problems at all with it. The buttons on top are a little small for large hands but if you buy the optional remote control then you don't have to worry with them. Well designed camera case
This case was made especially for the Panasonic Lumix TZ-1 camera.There is no extra room for a spare battery or SD cards.Twin zippers (one on either side) are functional and would let the case expand enough to probably hold a spare battery, but the flap lid might make it possible to lose an unsecured battery, and with no dedictated pocket to secure it there is significant risk that a loose battery might scratch the LCD screen.The biggest surprise is that on the back is a small loop through which runs a carabiner (spelling?) clip instead of a traditional belt clip.The carabiner can clip onto anything that is less than 1" in diameter and less than 1" thick... so the case can clip onto the shoulder strap of a purse or belt loop instead of ONLY being secured to a belt.The camera case leather flap is secured with a velcro strip instead of a snap. I would have preferred a zippered flap which would have completely enclosed the case to keep dust and debris out of the case.The outside design of the case is almost twice the thickness of the actual camera, which makes it more bulky than you might expect.Still it is reasonably small enough to carry easily.It seems well built and should provide good protection from general abuse.I still put a screen protector on the LCD panel though. Best wishes for fun photography.

Good camera protection, but could us a shoulder strap.
The case provides great camera protection with a snug fit.It would be even better if the case had a shoulder strap or a leather loop to slide your belt thru.The clip that comes with the case is ok for attaching it to a pants belt loop, but the case will flop around a lot if you are walking fast or hiking over rough terrain.It can be annoying having the case banging back and forth on your body.

handles the camera that's bigger than your shirt pocket
I purchased the Panasonic hard case for my new Fuji Finepix E-900 because I wanted a bit more protection than is offered by the soft cases.What I have found is that it clips to a belt loop and makes my camera almost as easy to transport and access as the smaller pocket cameras.Be warned though.There is no room for extra gear.I am using a old case to keep extra batteries and the back-up picture card.I just toss that in the car in case I need it. ... Fastest delivery...one day...I can't believe it!!

best media for storage
After buying a panasonic dvd video recorder, I bought twenty of these discs to feed it.After seeing the light, I did some research and have discovered for myself a great storage medium.I'd always discounted DVD-RAM as a panasonic proprietary product, but this is designed to save data like a hard disk, in concentric circles.So your computer sees it just like a hard disk.And, it is much more stable than -+r dvds.Too much technical data to spew here, but do some web searches on the design of dvd ram, you'll be impressed.I liked it so much, I bought three new drives that read/write dvd ram for my home computers.Happy camper.

Perfect for traveling light
I agree with the other reviewers on most of their observations.This case is well made and the FZ7 fits snug but not tight.The camera with lens hood/filter adapter, hood, and lens cap fits easily in the case.There is a very neat interior little pocket to hold an extra battery and there is enough room for a filter or two or extra memory card(s) if needed.The belt loop on the back is nice and wide and works very well.Since I want to travel light and carry the camera with ease, this seems like the perfect case for me.If you want a case around your neck or over the shoulder to carry/store the charger, manuals, cables, box?,etc.this is not for you.

Good, but could have been better.
Like the other reviewer said, this case is decent, but could be better. Although I too can position the camera strap to stick out, it would be nice if it had its own. And the inside has only one small pocket for an extra battery or memory card--that's it. No outside pockets is also a little disappointing. That said, it is well-made and does look nice, so it's not all for nothing. And since it is made for the camera, it houses it safely. Although I expected a little better, I'm not sorry I got it.

Good quality, but a small and strapless.
Case is of good quality materials and construction, but is smaller than I expected from the photo. It does fit the FZ7 camera easily, but if you need a single case for your camera, lens hood, battery charger, manual and cables, you'll have to look elsewhere.

Couldn't find it anyplace
I have a VHS and CD machine and all my old tapes from my old camera are VHS, so I really need this adapter. Best Buy had a cheap copy that I bought and it didn't work at all...Bernies didn't have it or know where to purchase one. I then thought of Amazon and was delighted to find just what I wanted shippped directly to my house and it worked just the way the old one did....just remember to take the battery out if you don't plan on using it for a while....that's what happened to me and the battery caroded in the battery compartment.....

Does what it's supposed to.
This adapter is much better than the ones which don't take a battery.The difference is the other type manually pulls out the tape with a set of rollers when it's closed, and that can screw the tape up. The battery model I believe is also better at rewinding, the manual ones always drag down my VCR when I've tried it in the adapter.
It is not for 8mm tapes.
I am looking for 8mm tapes' VHS adaptor, but it does not fit into the VHS C Adaptor, it only accepts VHS C tapes, which now I know, and how a common user can figure out the difference from a computer monitor.The description for the type of tape it is made for has to be more specific.VHS C and 8mm tapes look similar by the picture shown.I can not find a 8mm tape VHS adaptor in the marketplace, it has to be reproduced from a camcorder or a VHS tape copy. ... Good product, but not very cheap!
I really enjoy the DVD-RAM format.It seems to read a lot quicker than -RW/+RW and offers an easier method of erasing all titles to start anew.I just wish they would come down in price to be comparative with the other types of discs.Their cost makes me think twice before spending the money.

DVD-RAM review
These DVD-RAM disks are the only ones that record in my Panasonic TV, and are difficult to find in stores.Buying through amazon.com is fast, economical...and the disks work perfectly, especially when I recorded the Super Bowl to review after the game, which I attended.
