2-0 out of 5 stars Look Elsewhere...
You may want to consider another brand of point and shoot 35mm film camera. We purchased this camera a little over a year ago, suddenly last week it would no longer load film. Being just beyond the 1 year warranty, we contacted Canon Service for information on repair. We were instructed to send the camera to them for evaluation. We received a phone call from them indicating the camera could not be repaired as they didn't have the parts. They couldn't even offer a replacement of the same camera. What they did offer was the 150U model for $88 with only a 6 month warranty. Based on the reviews here, it sounds like the 150 is not altogether great either. Up until the time the camera quit functioning it took good photos and was easy to use.
5-0 out of 5 stars Great camera!Recommended
Highly recommended! If you want a great camera that is well built & affordable this is it. I have developed five rolls of film so far and this takes some of the best pictures I've ever seen.My wife has an APS film which doesn't even come close to a 35 mm camera.Great zoom also!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Camera!!
I've had this camera now for about 3 years and it still works like a charm and takes great pics w/o any redeye. The only problem I've had was once at a wedding I was taking pics all night and didn't realize I didn't have film until the end of the night. The camera just kept taking pics with flash and everything, so I had no idea. I wish it had something to let you know it needs film. I was very upset but that was mostly my fault. This is a great buy for the cheap price. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Please don't buy this!!!!
It might take ok pictures, it might be an entry level camera, but..IT'S CUMBERSOME TO USE AND THE BATTERIES DON'T LAST MORE THAN 15 MINUTES. PLEASE, DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT....AVOID IT LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!!!!

1-0 out of 5 stars Don't buy this!!!
Think SUV is a gas guzzler?Well, this camera is WORSE.We knew about its short battery life, but we bought it anyway. If you have to replace batteries after about 20 pictures w/ flash, that is NOT a minor flaw!Had we known just exactly how short the battery life was, we wouldn't have bought this camera.Forget about its user-friendliness.Don't make the same mistake as we did!

4-0 out of 5 stars Great camera for beginners
This little camera is a great camera for someone who is new to photography. The settings that this little things has is wonderful. You can either run on autopilot and have it do the work for you or you can set the manual settings to your little hearts content. There are a few fun settings that you can add the background startup photo to one that you have taken or youcan add your own sound tot he startup as well. The only downside that I found with this camera is that it is a little fragile and if you drop it you better pray that you can pick i up in one peice. The pictures I took with this are awesome and pleased me until I moved onto bigger and better things, I highly recommend this camera to anyone who would like a cheap camera that has excellent results. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars Canon Elph Z3 Zoom APS Cambera Kit
I love this camera because it offers three different picture sizes and has the zoom lense. It is the second one I have owned. The only problem I have with it is putting in the date. A friend always has to do this for me.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Camera
People dont realize its not just the camera that takes good pictures, but how the person uses the camera.I bought this camera in 2002 and i still have it. It takes great pictures. I took pictures of weddings and parties and the picture came out great. People loved the pictures. Cameras do break so you do have to be careful how you load the film. The only bad thing about the camera is you have to push the button down for a second, then release it and it takes a moment to take the picture so this camera is not good when taking pictures of small children. APS film does have a disadvantage versus the 35 mm on the quality of the picture when you enlarge, but the advantage is you can get 3 different sizes which is good when you what to get a scene. Its very compact and it comes with a case.

2-0 out of 5 stars it's alright
I have had this camera for a few months now and while taking pictures it all of a sudden, it froze on me and now it is useless. I probably will have to pay more for fixing it than it is worth. I would definitely invest in a different camera. ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Do NOT Buy This Camera! It Has No WIDE ANGLE LENS!
If you are interested in digital point and shoot cameras, since Canon discontinued the Power Shot S-80, there are THREE or more digital point and shoot cameras on the market that I know of that have a "true" WIDE ANGLE lens of 28mm or even 23mm! 1) The Panasonic DMC-FX01
1-0 out of 5 stars EXTREMELY FRAGILE!!!!
I have had this camera for about 3 weeks and initially it worked great. My wife was going to take a photo and dropped the camera about 3 feet onto the carpet. The LCD shows an E18 error and the camera no longer works. Before buying this camera, I highly recommend doing a search on E18 errors to see just how widespread the problem is. If dropping a camera onto the carpet is enough to disable it, it's time to look elsewhere!!!

5-0 out of 5 stars A GREAT CAMERA, SIMPLY FANTASTIC
I bought this camera used at a consignment shop over a year ago, my second digital camera after losing my Samsung in Mexico. Battery life is great, and the battery charger was with it. The only bad thing I could find was lens cap had no string, and not USB 2.0. Canon's software package was it's usuall fantastic set. Took hundreds of pics with this camera, and resolution was just awesome.

I have used several digital camera's in the past including more expensive Digital SLR's but this is by far the easiest to use to obtain fantastic results WITH the ease of point and shoot.

This is a great camera for anyone that realy wants to take a very good, high resolution pix. The zoon lens is also a very good item.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great camera, houses great Canon lenses.
For its time and price (at the time), a fantastic camera.6.3 MP is more than sufficient for most amateur and semi-pro (non-studio) work, and this camera works very well with what really matters:Canon's fantastic lenses.Battery life on this camera is very good. The "shutter lag" (between when you depress the button and when the camera actually takes a photo) is fairly well non-existent, and the only real lag I have is when I am shooting multiple photos in RAW format. As most photographers know, the lens is almost more important than the body, and outside of Leica lenses, I don't think anything really competes with Canon's line. The 18-55 lens that comes with this camera is sufficient for casual work...I used it at the beach, and on hikes with my dog, when I don't want to lug around my bigger, more expensive, higher-quality lenses. But for $75 or so, you can have a 50mm 1.8 EOS lens, which will supplement the 18-55 nicely, particularly for night photography.
5-0 out of 5 stars LOVE, LOVE, LOVEthis camera
I have had this camera a little over a year and I still can't put it down. It is wonderful. I have two little boys on the move and this camera takes their picture with hardly any delay. Just snap and go. I bought my dad the XP in March and he loves it too.

2-0 out of 5 stars Not bad for first time DSLR buyers but seriously lacking in several areas
I have had this camera since Jan '05 and have so far taken approximately 10,000 shots while on trips and at weddings.

2-0 out of 5 stars Buyer Beware
We bought this camera last October....It is small and compact which is a major plus.I have noticed that 80% of the pictures I have taken, have the red eye.We just recently went on a cruise, and the camera does not take very good quality pictures inside a comedy club with decent lighting... the people moving around were blurry.Lastly, when I went to power on the camera yesterday, it makes an awful noise, and then the screen blinks the canon logo, then goes black with an E18 error.I contacted Canon, and its not covered by warranty, and the repair will cost more than the camera did new. They claim that it was due improper use or mishandling. The camera went dead while it was on, and the shutter is left extended... Recharged the battery, and now the shutter will not go back in... and thats MISUSE?I will never buy another Canon ever...which is why Im at Amazon.com right now to purchase a new camera.

5-0 out of 5 stars Best Point and Shoot for the Price
I've used this camera in some of the worst conditions you can imagine. Being deployed to Iraq, I've used this in 20 Degree to 130 Degree heat, sandstorms, being banged around, etc.
5-0 out of 5 stars So so portable.....
Had the SD20 for nine months. The portability is the best. So small and lightweight. Friends are amazed at the quality of my pics including some close up Macro pics taken from 2 inches away. Great for reviewing pictures through the TV and just delete if you don't like them.

I've been through a lot of crappy printers and this one was the best I've ever had. It's held up through 4 moves, a lot of printing through grad school, and the best part is that the ink cartridges are cheap and last a long time!I also recently discovered that it prints great pics! All around, you couldn't ask for more for $99.

5-0 out of 5 stars Solid Performer on 4X6 photos
The Canon i470D has turned out to be a very good investment.I am in electronics sales and we are constantly told to that "features tell & benefits sell!"

5-0 out of 5 stars Digital Camera that thinks it's a tank!
I bought this camera when i was a sophmore in college. And now, 2 years out of college, a handfull of beautiful days, a half-dozen life changing moments, and umpteen vacations later it's still goes with me everywhere and snaps photographs.all the sticker labels on it have since been knocked off but it doesn't matter because i know what they all do.This puppy is built to last. When I eventually pass this one down in the family and buy a new one, I'll be getting another canon for sure.
4-0 out of 5 stars One of the better *compact* cameras for beginners
I bought this camera for the same reason many of you are considering it, or have already bought it--it's size.It is amazingly small, it's hard to believe all that has been packed into this camera.I take it with me everywhere, literally, it is so small that I am able to keep it in my pocket, and I don't have to fear that it will get ruined in my pocket because it is so durable. There is also a small covering for the lens, so you need not worry that the lens will get scratched.
4-0 out of 5 stars Very handy second camera
I've had this camera for three years.I bought it new, when it was cutting edge and very expensive.I put a 128MB CF card in it.
