1-0 out of 5 stars This camera stinks
I got this camera for my birthday and recorded some very important footage of my daughters graduation.I have not been able to transfer the movies to either another disc or my computer since. The software provided gives me nothing but error messages and Canon says it is a Roxio issue and Roxio won't even talk to you without a $40 technical support fee.I have to return the camera and I am stuck with a disc that I can only watch on the camera which I will no longer have. This camera is the worst camera I have ever owned.

1-0 out of 5 stars Good Camera, Crappy Software
This is a nice little camera, and the video quality is excellent. However, I cannot recommend it because the video editing software is from Roxio.Canon clearly states that they do not provide product support for the software.Roxio also avoids supporting the software - if you have a problem, they will allow you to call tech support for $40, or they will kindly sell you an upgrade for $39.95.I have been trying, unsuccessfully, for 6 weeks to get an unlock code from them to allow me to use the software. For some reason, when I installed the software and registered it as instructed, I never received back an unlock code, so the software is useless.Roxio obviously made a piggyback deal with Canon in order to force people into buying their "upgraded" product.Roxio simply ignores e-mails.

3-0 out of 5 stars Heat up
The camera does heat up when attached to the charger.I complained to Cannon support about the camera getting hot enough to the point that you cannot touch it.

3-0 out of 5 stars Good video, bad audio
I will not repeat all positive other reviewer have said about the camera's video quality. It is noticably better than 1/6" cameras I compared this camera with (JVC, Panasonic) in both dark an lighted conditions.
5-0 out of 5 stars There is very little not to like about this videocamera...
This camera produces excellent image quality for the price, it's very compact, and ergonomic. It's packed with features. If you are a mainstream user, it is more than adequate. There are those who will compare it to $1000-$2000 videocams and it will naturally fall short. But the fact is, it's reasonably priced, has sufficient features for most users, and can be taken anywhere because of its size. I would recommend getting an extra battery since you will only get 45 minutes - 1 hour energy if you use the LCD display and do a lot of zooming, etc. Speaking of zoom, some people think that a 10x optical zoom is less than ideal, but face it -- if you are trying to zoom much beyond that level, you are going to need a tripod. Overall, this is an excellent item, and delivers the quality I would expect from Canon.

5-0 out of 5 stars Canon Optura S-1 makes the day!
I purchased this through an online wholesale membership site for $399.99 plus tax and shipping (total $459.00) and couldn't be any happier.

1-0 out of 5 stars Driver and software incompatibilities?
Please Google "Print Queue problem iP5200." Exactly the same problem I experienced is described by some other unfortunate people. The problem is that after printing a job, it stays in Print Queue for several minutes, and the second job cannot be started immediately. Those who reported the problem on internet did not get any solution. Of course, they and I contacted Canon. Those who posted the problem on internet and I used the latest printer driver. I have Windows XP Home with all updates installed. The reviewers here didn't seem to have this serious problem. I don't know why a small number of people experience the problem. One person who reported the problem on internet reinstalled Windows system without solving the problem. I didn't go that far.
3-0 out of 5 stars Canon iP5200 Photo Printer
The printer is well made and functions well. Speed is good for both text and photos, even at high quality. My main complaint is that photos, especially poitraits, have a distinct reddish tint. It's difficult to remove the proper amount of cyan since the photos look perfect on the monitor. I've waisted way to much photo paper and still can't duplicate the image on the monitor. If anyone has an answer to this problem let me know please.

5-0 out of 5 stars This is my favorite calculator
I work in an office environment and often have need for a calculator to work on reports and statistics.I have owned this model for a couple of years now and I think it is great. The display is large and easy to read and the buttons are big, but not too big.The buttons on my last calculator were very fussy - you had to push straight down on the button or it would not register the number.Canon got it perfect with this model, as the keys are sensitive enough that I never experience missed numbers as I am entering.

1-0 out of 5 stars Great Until E18 Struck
I bought my Canon A95 in November 2004.A little after 1 year just after the manufacturer's warranty expired, the infamous E18 error struck.I called the factory repair center to get a repair estimate, and they quoted $89 plus $8 shipping & handling.I bought the camera for $300 online, now it's going to cost me roughly 1/3 of its purchase cost to repair it.For all I know, it might break down again after the repair! The repair comes with 90-Day warranty period, but it COULD break again after 90 days.
1-0 out of 5 stars VERY Disappointed
I've had this camera just over a year (figures) and it has gone completely bonkers on me.Sometimes it works and other times it puts black lines across the screen making it useless. You never know when you turn it on whether it will work or not -- making it completely unreliable.Keep in mind that this camera was used almost entirely inside for my business, so it wasn't abused, dropped, thrown in the bottom of a purse, etc.It was treated very carefully and probably only shot about 2,000 pictures total.
3-0 out of 5 stars I'm not getting it
After reading the literally hundreds of positive reviews for Canon cameras generally, and this one in particular, I bought one after our older Kodak DC3400 finally died.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent little camera....
I have used this phone for about 3 years (i've taken close to 1500 photos and about 30 video clips) and its still the best phone I've ever owned! Durable and utilitarian, it satisfies all amateur photographic needs (takes zoom, panorama, night shots, b/w, sepia, self-timed.) The video function though limited & grainy is useful for short recordings. The screen is small, but that's a minor disadvantage. It's a little bulky, but still small enough to fit in your pocket (a big pocket), though it is heavy. The price is very reasonable. Battery life is only adequate (4 AA).
1-0 out of 5 stars Great camera until 2nd year. Stopped working
We used this camera for taking general purpose family pictures. Nice design and good feature set. At 2yr mark it completely stopped saving pictures to CF card. I can't find any information on canon site. Bummer, I was really hoping to upgrade to a EOS this year. Probably no more Canons for me.

1-0 out of 5 stars DON'T BUY -IT FAILED IN LESS THAN 2 YEARS!
We had our PowerShot A80 less than 2 years and the internal hardware failed so the camera could no longer take pictures....despite the fact that we took excellent care of it.Same problem as others have reported -- the image sensor apparently failed because the camera would only take totally BLACK IMAGES.You could only see a black blackground through the LCD viewfinder when the power was on.

1-0 out of 5 stars The little engine that could....then DIDN'T!
I've owned this printer for probablly a year now and now I'm shopping for a new one!!Why can't Canon get it in their head to put the print head on the ink cartridge itself like HP does (who's printers I'm now reviewing)...then maybe you wouldn't have the problem of your print head wearing out and clogging like I did.Oh and did I mention it costs about $85 for a new print head,...yeah that's what I said!Don't get me wrong...the printer did great for the time I had it...excellent prints and everything but to only last a year (if it's even been that long)...I'm quite disappointed. So my search is on.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great printer, no complaints.
This printer does an excellent job, esp with high-quality paper, on documents and an equally fine job on photos. I have used it to turn several so-so color photos into beautiful bordered B&W prints. Worked with my PC and now works with my Mac, no problems at all.

1-0 out of 5 stars Landfill
Worked fine for a couple of months of sparse use. Then, it would not be recognized by my computer no matter how many times I tried to tighten the connections and reinstall. Now, it won't even power up. Completely dead. Thank you for wasting my money and worse, creating more useless garbage. A shame. ... Read more

This S80 used to be the only WIDE ANGLE compact point and shoot digital camera on the market. It has now been discontinued I'm told. But, we're in luck! There are THREE other digital point and shoot cameras with a real 28mm WIDE ANGLE lens! These are: 1) The Panasonic DMC-FX01 for $250, and the 2) Canon Powershot SD800 IS for $400. and, 3) The Kodak EasyShare V570 for about $350.

After fighting for several years with all in one printer/fax/copier machines, I decided to buy seperate components to do these specific jobs. The Canon PC430 was my choice as a copier and I amd very pleased with it. I does it's job very well for small business use with small to moderate copy jobs. It's a simple machine and compact enough to fit on the desktop. The set up is easy. The copies are perfect reproductions of the originals. No frills just does the job it's designed to do.

3-0 out of 5 stars Copier
I bought this copier several years ago and it has work well for me.I like that it can also do legal size paper. It does take up alot of desk space due to the two paper trays.I think that there are better choices now. This copier doesn't have an internal paper tray, doc. feeder, or enlargement of image. ... Editorial Review

This printer might just become your favorite home electronics component. The feature-rich PIXMA iP5200R Photo Printer can produce a beautiful photo lab quality 4" x 6" borderless print in about 36 seconds. And it delivers an amazing resolution of up to 9,600 x 2,400 color dpi, for detail and clarity unmatched by comparable printers. To achieve this, Canon Full-photolithography Inkjet Nozzle Engineering (FINE) uses a next-generation 3,584-nozzle print head that ejects precise, consistent droplets as small as one picoliter. Also, the ContrastPLUS five-color ink system--four dye-based inks and a pigment-based black ink--produces true-life photos with a wide color palette, along with laser-quality text. Read more

2-0 out of 5 stars Exercise in frustration for low light pics--and very little control
This printer has been an exercise infrustration.I was very happy with our Epson 200R, but we used it to death and wanted to try an upgrade. I should have bought 2 more of the Epsons.
4-0 out of 5 stars Good printer so far
Despite what others have reported, I had no problems setting up the printer for both wired and wireless.I do recommend setting it up wired first. My 2nd computer prints via the DLink wireless router with no problems. The power button on the printer is pretty well hidden (black button on a black case) but I discovered the auto power on/off setting which works great, even with wireless.
5-0 out of 5 stars Quality and Speed
This printer is wonderful. The print quality is as good as you get through snapfish or similar digital processing companies - assuming you step up and buy good photo paper. The output speed is excellent in both color and black. The flexibilty of having two paper trays works well for me as I have the printer hidden away in a draw and connected wirelessly to my hub/router. The printer is larger than I expected but, really what's the big deal, if you want a smaller printer that's portable get a HP Deskjet 460bwt. Set up was a breeze - I'm running Mac OS 10.4.7 on a MacBook Pro. Great quality, great price and excellent flexibility with the wireless feature. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Totally great camera
I bought this camera two years ago and love it.I now have two others that are newer and more expensive, but I still end up using this camera so often because it's practical, the batteries last forever and it takes the right size pictures for uploading fast to online printing services. The pictures are great when printed as long as they are not enlarged much past 8x10 and the camera is extraordinarily sturdy.I have kept it in my purse for extended amounts of time, taken it on many trips, it has been dropped several times, and it just keeps workingIt is so easy to use in every way.All of the menu items are entirely self explanatory.I would highly recommend this camera. My others are Canon also and I love them all.

5-0 out of 5 stars 2 years old, and still going great
When I bought my A75, I did a little research, and the reviews I read were great. 2 years later, I am happy with my choice. I got an excellent camera that has taken a lot of pictures on different places: beaches, mountains, cities... The quality of the pictures is awesome. Even if it is not a 7MP, I think that for an "amateur home user", this camera is more than enough

4-0 out of 5 stars Great camera with a few limitations
I haven't read the other reviews, but wanted to put my th
