just okay
Overall, seems to work well for the price. I've had a few problems though. 1) Often the printer says it doesn't "recognize" an ink cartridge (one that came with the printer originally) and I have to turn it off and on again to get it to work. 2) I haven't figured out how to print on legal size paper... I think maybe it's not possible.3) Color quality is just so-so even on photo paper. I had a better experience with my old Epson that lasted me almost 10 years.
TERRIBLE RELIABILITY
Even though I have used my printer (a Pixma 5000) very lightly, it jams regularly on Canon photo paper and then spills ink everywhere. Today it went into "service error 5700" and it doesn't work any more, even after rebooting it five times.
NICE PRINTER BUT ONE BOTHERSOME FLAW ...
I recently bought this printer from Amazon, generally like it, but it has one problem: when I have not used printer for a time (1 - 7 days, this problem more likely & severe the longer it has been) colors are often very bad, eg no red at all, sometimes no red and no yellow, on first page or 2 that I print.After 1-2 pages everything works fine until printer is unused for another few-day period.This problem always leaves me the choice of reprinting 1 or 2 pages (spending precious time and draining expensive ink) or accepting a lousy looking printout.Note there may be a fix out there, I am too lazy/busy to hunt it down.And if you are running this printer long and hard, on a daily basis, you will probably not experience this problem.But if you use printer only for small and occasional jobs (say a 4 page job 3 times a week) I think this printer is a bad choice, you can probably get more dependable quality from a less expensive printer. ... Amazing camera
All I have to say is this is a great digital camera, and I've had a few of them.I just took it on vacation to AZ with me - my first use of the camera and I came home with fantastic images and videos.I had no problems with the camera at all, and never even had to charge the battery or go to the extra, charged battery I brought along with me.I purchased the little battery charger so that I wouldn't have to take along the camera cradle and I advise anyone to buy it.It's very tiny and works great.You cannot go wrong with this camera.It's great at auto so you can just point-and-shoot and enjoy, or very manual if you feel like futzing with it.Also, it's just a very cool looking camera and very sturdy.Even though it's so tiny, I didn't feel like I was going to break it, bull-in-a-china-shop that I am.It was a bit odd getting used to having no veiw-finder to look through, and keep putting the camera up to my eye a few times!

I had this video camera for a while and so far it has meet my expectations considering the price.I did not go for a DVD video camera because the price is still high considering the lower image quality. Also do not expect to record quality clips or pictures using the SD card. It is just a gimmick
GOOD CAMERA,,,butyou need some basic PC skills and common sense
This camera is great and intuitive...tons of features,,if you reduce the shutter speed it works well in low light conditions. If you are a complete moron like the guy above YOU WILL have problems with this camera. The instructions are pretty clear how to connect to a PC, but you need some basic skills.
Great camcorder for a great price
First off, I have ALWAYS loved Canon products and this camcorder is no exception.The documentation regarding transferring video to your computer is a little lacking but if you have a firewire card (or if you don't, you can get one from ebay for less than $20), it is Windows that does the actual transferring so it's pretty automatic.The camcorder is very intuative and it takes no time at all to start shooting like a pro (ok, maybe not a pro, but plenty good enough for the home user).Originally I was disappointed with the indoor shots but switching to night mode definitely cleaned up the image alot.I look forward to bringing this camcorder to Canada and Nigara Falls next month to record my honeymoon (well, not ALL of my honeymoon ;) ) ... Must be a better machine
Replaced an old Sharp fax machine with what I thought was newer and better machine. WRONG!! if you don't baby it , it will not feed multiple pages. likes to pull two or three sheets at a time. What a pain! Other functions are not as intuitive as one would expect.

Absolute Junk
I purchased this model around 6 months ago, and the problems continue every day.This machine won't fax multiple pages...instead it likes to pull the whole 5 or 6 page set through at once, thus jamming and causing headache.Secondly, the machine likes to jam up while receiving.I am not the only one I know with these problems.

Great little Camara
This is my first digital camcorder and so far so good.I'm very happy with it.Easy mode is great for beginners like my husband and kids.I love the auto mode where I have control of special effects etc..... I highly recommend and the price is pretty good.

Very satisfied.
We got this because it is compatible with MAC and iMovies. We are very pleased with the quality of pictures and ease of use. Lots of features we haven't explored yet but it easily does the job. We handed it over to our 11 year old and she did a great job with it, even with unsteady hands.

POOR RESOLUTION AND SPEED
THIS PRODUCT IS GOOD IN THEORY ONLY!! EVEN AT THE HIGHEST PHOTO QUALITY, THE PRINTED IMAGES ARE VERY GRAINY (USING A 6MP CAMERA).

The printing quality is good, but that's the only positive thing I can say.There's no place to leave paper in the printer, the indicator about which side of the paper to have in the "up" position is misleading, leading two a complete mess as you waste ink printing the wrong side of the paper.Even worse, it only allows you to plug in proprietary devices: Try to plug your USB storage device or any non-Canon device into it and it tells you it's incompatible.I got a $[...] rebate and it's still not worth it. ... Great Camera
I have had digital cameras for about 5 years and still own an Olympus 5 megapixel, and a Casio 7 megapixel. Seems like Megamixels alone just don't cut it for me.

Have had this camera for nearly a month now, and I have to say it is truly great for the following reasons:
Very Pleased!!
I am a severe novice at photography and do not know much on the subject but I really wanted to take better pictures of my boyfreind who does freetstyle motocross.I was having a hard time getting the timing down and getting a good zoom with my old camera and with this camera I have been getting some amazing pictures. At first when reading the manual I became extremely overwhelmed and scared that I made a bad decision.I still do not know what the fancy functions are and how to use them.But I did find that it is very user friendly if you just go with the automatic shooting modes. I'm very excited about the wonderful picture quality I've been getting. Some of his sponsors are even using my shots for their advertisements! I highly recommend this camera!!! ... Read more

exactly as described
My purchase from Amazon yielded a printer that had an issue. Canon promptly replaced with a brand new unit. The printer is plenty fast. Does a great job with text, nice and crisp, which is my primary concern whenever I purchase a printer. Printing on standard paper my photos look great. Looking forward to trying them on photo paper and I imagine the results will be even better. Copying, works great and copies look near identical to originals. Scanning function works great too with scans that can be used in print and elsewhere. At $150 this printer is the way to go. Of course you could spend twice as much and get something quicker but as too quality of output I am not sure the average user would see much of a difference without magnification. I have no qualms about recommending this product. One last note... it is great to have the separate ink carts. The black is twice as large as the 3 colored carts.

didn't get what I ordered
I ordered the product pictured but the actual delivered was different. First, I thought I was getting a Canon product but I did not. Second, I ordered a multipack of 6 and got individual packs of 8 different colors. I mean, I have no problem with the bonus 2 but the point is, I did not receive what I ordered in the first place. For this, I'm disappointed.

Totally Awful!
I had been using compatible cartridges from another company which I will not mention in order to not be accused of shilling with no problems for over six months.I gave Abacus a try and their ink stinks and basically ruined my printhead.I will give it to them that that do ship out the product quickly but getting something quickly does not make a good product. ...
