5-0 out of 5 stars LOVE this item
I use it with my Nikon d50 and it works as promised.I took some long exposure shots with it last night and they came out crisp.I am also a parent and I find that using a remote is much easier than setting the timer and rangling a toddler in place within the limited window of time.I recommend this device to anyone and I find it quite affordable.
2-0 out of 5 stars Mixed feelings also
Like another reviewer's, my experience has been mixed. I use this remote with the D50.
4-0 out of 5 stars meets expectations
Useful piece of kit, cheap and functional. I love what it lets me do. Note to Nikon: this should be a part of every decent camera kit (like the D70 kit I bought this to use with). ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars The best lens cleaning system I've come across
Lens pens don't do a perfect job, but they do a better job than anything thing else I have found. It is a "must have" product for anyone with a camera! And the Nikon lens pen has worked well for me.

5-0 out of 5 stars Fast and Easy!
I was skeptical when I ordered the pen because I wasn't too sure how clean it would really keep my lens.

Great and Quick Service.Would recommend to do business with these guys to anyone!

5-0 out of 5 stars Great case.
This case is excellent for my Coolpix L1. It fits snugly, so the camera is not bouncing around inside. It has storage room for a memory card and spare batteries. This case protected my camera very well during a recent trip, where my camera was inside a backpack, and nothing hapenned to it. 5-0 out of 5 stars Nikon SB-600
I love this flash.I just recently purchased it and have used it for 2 big events and it worked perfectly.I still don't know everything that it is capable of doing but am still able to work it just fine without even reading the manual.
5-0 out of 5 stars Definitely an upgrade from the built-in flash
I've been quite satisfied with my Nikon D50 and I've been using the built-in flash occasionally to get evenly lit images and balanced exposed shots. But the built-in flash just doesn't cut it.I made the huge mistake of taking pics at my cousin's wedding reception in a huge hall thinking that a tripod, high ISO settings, and the built-in flash will suffice.I was wrong.I borrowed a fellow photographer's spare speedlight (SB-600) and when I downloaded the pics to my computer for some fine tuning, I noticed the HUGE difference between the built-in flash. The speedlight gave me more area to be covered by the flash. For roughly under $200+, this is quite the bargain.I'd recommend rechargeable AA batteries. The recycle time for the flash is FAST.

5-0 out of 5 stars Nikon SB-600 Speedlight Flash
Great flash, all the good qualities of the SB800 but less of the data dump and decision quagmire! It has the built in flash disperser, its lighter than the 800, so unless you're into more info than you need, go with the SB600. Oh, it has a shorter recycle time too. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Impressive Unit
I purchased this Speedlight for my D70s. It is easy to take out of the box and fire up. But it's capable of a lot more than your standard portraiture and vacation shots.
5-0 out of 5 stars A must have for any Nikon DSLR user
I would not be able to imagine shooting without the SB-800, it's just so integral to my photography. My only gripe is the TTL preflashes which can cause some people to blink of half-blink by the time the main flash goes off. But you can easily get around this by using FV lock.
4-0 out of 5 stars Preliminary review: just about every feature possible
Nikon designed this unit to exploit the possibilities of their latest digital SLRs while still being compatble with their oldest F-series cameras. The SB-800 is more expensive than the SB-600, but it gives you more control and more light. You may find more light to be critical if you want to use bounce flash to soften shadows.

1-0 out of 5 stars Too slow
I downloaded the trial version of this software and it worked somewhat slowly but o.k. with 5 mp Nikon 5700 raw (nef) files. Unfortunatly once I tried to work with Nikon D80 nef files, the program ran so slow on my computer it was no longer useable. My computer: HP a520n, AMD Athlon 3200+ (2.2Ghz), 512 MB PC2700 DDR SDRAM memory, 160 GB 7200 rpm Ultra DMA hard drive. Not the latest and hottest machine I admit but also not the worst one. I assume this program needs at least 1 GB RAM to run at an somewhat acceptable speed.
5-0 out of 5 stars Wonderful, intuitive software!
I was one of the first to download the full-featured Nikon NX software on a trial basis in July 2006.I was immediately hooked. This is a very innovative software program that most photographers who shoot in NIKON RAW format will want.
2-0 out of 5 stars The best...and the worst.
__The GOOD__:Nikon bought a wonderful "u-point" algorithm from the similarly-named software commpany Nik, a technology which allows you to brighten an entire area (say, the sky) by simply dropping a "color control point" in that area and selecting the qualities you prefer (a particular hue of blue, brightness, etc.). The u-point works hard to figure out "which region she meant by that", and about half the time does a good enough job for nonprofessional purposes.

5-0 out of 5 stars Good product
Charge lasts a long time and through most of a 512 digital card. I keep a charged one as a back-up.

5-0 out of 5 stars Allows 200 pictures in Nikon P4.
You need bunch of them to fill up larger memory chips with photos in higher resolution cameras like Coolpix P4.It is a litle one for pocket cameras, and does work as advertised.

4-0 out of 5 stars Just like the original
Bought this as a backup battery for my Nikon Coolpix 7900.What else can I say, other than it's identical to the one that came with the camera, and at this point I'm not sure which is which.

Reviews (12)

2-0 out of 5 stars Filter incompatible
The battery, bag and book are fine, but the 52 mm UV filter does not fit on the 28-80mm lens--the one lens most commonly bundled with the Nikon D-50, which is the single most popular Nikon Digital SLR.So a kit which is being promoted as perfect for the beginner includes a filter which is useless for me.I feel like I wasted my money on this product because I thought the lenses were a universal size.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great Deal, Great ProductAffordable Price
A must have if you have a Nikon DSLR Camera or a video cam, has numerous division spacers inside the bag, sturdy, well padded to protect your camera from bumps plus it's water proof, but the space inside the bag is limited if you have 2 or more lenses including your camera. This pack comes with a lens filter made in USA and an extra EN-EL3a battery. The battery and lens filter alone would already cost you $80.00 if you bought this from your local camera store without the bag.Got this item for only $75.00 here in AMAZON, what a steal!. This pack is a great bargain deal.

3-0 out of 5 stars Nikon Accessory Pack
I wish I had read the dimensions of the bag, before placing the order.I travel a lot, and this bag is just too bulky for airline travel. It's HUGE!

2-0 out of 5 stars No good pockets
I bought this case together with Nikin 5900 digcam. The case looks good and compact. But the main problem is with the pockets. There are two pockets for SD cards in the main pocket and one outer pocket for the battery. The problem is that when you open the case to take the camera, all the pockets are also open and stuff can fall from there. Specially when its on your belt.
5-0 out of 5 stars I love this camera
Very capable and sophisticated shooter for the price...a little
3-0 out of 5 stars Good design, poor protection
This case is designed to fit the camera perfectly. Unfortunately it does not seem to provide protection to the camera aside from scratches.

1-0 out of 5 stars Not a real Nikon
I bought this in August 2005, when the original battery that came with my Nikon Coolpix 880 (late 2000) started running down fast.On the page I ordered from, it appeared to be a genuine Nikon battery, however, when I received it, it was not.It was made in Taiwan, and does not have the Nikon brand name anywhere on the battery (or packaging, as I remember). This battery has never held a charge well. It's about as bad as the original battery is now, and I've only had it a few months.Maybe I just got a lemon--but I'd recommend you buy a genuine Nikon, if you can find one.

4-0 out of 5 stars Nikon EN-EL1 Rechargeable Battery order

4-0 out of 5 stars Works Great After Thousands of Photos

5-0 out of 5 stars Feedback on Nikon's NiMH Rechargeable Batteries
I purchased, from Amazon, these batteries with the charger at the same time I purchased the CoolPix 5600 last May 2005.I have shot about 1,000 pictures so far.The batteries need to be recharged between 200-250 shots. The batteries are still holding their charge just fine.I recommend them.Actually, my complaint is with the CoolPix because the battery meter doesn't measure battery strength so you can't tell if you're batteries are close to needing a charge.

I needed a wide angle lens so I listened to Ken Rockwell (I enourage everyone to visit his site) and bought the 18-55. It is a wonderful lens, produces excellent, sharp images, is light weight, and focuses quickly. It's an inexpensive build, but for the price I can use for a few years (or until my 18-200 arrives which ever is first) and feel that I have gotten more than my money's worth. Don't let the light weight fool you, though, this is a great lens.

5-0 out of 5 stars A great lens at an amazingly cheap price
The Nikon 18-55 is one of those rare pieces of glass that surprises across the board -- I find that it is far superior to the more expensive Nikon 18-70 kit lens now packaged with most new Nikon dSLR's. The 18-55 is not only a third of the price, but it is crisper and clearer at 18, and super sharp from 35 - 55. There is next to no barrel distortion at 18, certainly far less that the 18-70. And there is nothing better than a 6 ounce lens for carrying to parties, events, and dinners, rather than those pound+ lenses. I highly recommend this lens.

5-0 out of 5 stars I'm quite happy with this lens
I'm quite happy with this lens, included in the D50 kit. It seems much better than my old Canon and Sigma zooms (which I've sold some years ago, after change from a EOS650 to digital), although it presents some barrel distortion at wide-angle (18mm). To be honest, I only noticed it recently (only after taking a few hundred shots), when I had the chance to get some pictures with the ocean at the horizon. I will try to remember not to use this lens at 18mm with perfectly "horizontal horizons"...
