4-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Picture Quality and Less than 4 mins to burn to DVD
This is the best dvd handycam i have seen these days. easy to use, great picture with good sound , the easiest part of this dvd camcoder is it takes 4 mins to finalize the mini dvd and lessthan 10 mins to copy over to other DVDs.

3-0 out of 5 stars grainy picture but easy to use
Lots of features and easy to use but you get a "grainy" picture.I would buy the next model up the next time, the DVD-DCR 405 with 3 mega pixels.

5-0 out of 5 stars One Great Camera
Just received my Sony DVD305 a few days ago and am extremely satisfied.I have put this camera through the ringers, from Black and White, to Sepia, to Still Images, to Super Night Shots and I firmly believe this is the best camcorder I've ever owned!I was particularly impressed with the small size, yet the image stablizer really controls any shaking. The still images are fantastic for a 1 Mega Pixel camera.

5-0 out of 5 stars Fun first camera
I always wanted a camera, but my parents never let me have one, even for a photography class. So i finally saved money and got one. I love it. In the classic college student style i didn't read the manual and found everything just fine. I thought that i would mis not looking through the little window, but it's not a problem. Works well and i love the natural and more muted light options.

5-0 out of 5 stars Exactly what I was looking for!
CONS:
4-0 out of 5 stars More than I expected
This is a great camera for those who are not too tech savvy.I just took it on a vacation and came home with some great photos!

4-0 out of 5 stars Great camera--but a little sensitive
Love the camcorder and the fact that you never have to buy tapes or those stupid little 20-minute discs. The quality is great. And you can upgrade to a three-hour battery, so battery life isn't a concern. My only drawbacks: 1) camera can be very sensitive; I took it to the beach and jostled it around a little and the zoom and focus stopped working, and 2) using it with a program like Sony's Click to DVD software scrambles the clips, so when you edit before burning to DVD you have to go back, frame by frame, and rearrange the clips in the order you shot them in.

5-0 out of 5 stars Convenience, convenience, convenience, and features!
I moved up from a MiniDV camcorder to this one because of the hard-drive recording. It was a *great* purchasing decision. My personal favorite features:
1-0 out of 5 stars JVC Does Not Stand Behind Their Products - JVC Lemoncorder
I agree with the many other users who have experienced the "Condensation, Operation Paused" defect on their JVC GR-xxxx. Despite numerous others reporting this problem, JVC says its not a recognized problem. I would disagree - it is a recognized problem, but its your problem, not theirs. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Everything I was looking for and more
I bought this camera based on several online reviews, including Steve's Digicams, and couldn't be more pleased. I've been using it since last Christmas (bought it as a present to myself after six months of looking at various brands and models). Aside from image quality (which it has plenty of) I insisted on at least an LCD viewfinder (EVF) as well as screen, a real filter ring (no adapters, please!) easy basic controls, long optical zoom, CF card, hot shoe and the ability to use ordinary AA batteries in a pinch. Also had to fit my hand and feel natural.
5-0 out of 5 stars The best camera so far
I spent a lot of time reading reviews and posts, finally I bought it, it is the best camera I have used, I went from an old Konica 35mm film camera to a Sony Cybershot 2 mp and then to not having a camera for a while later I had a Kodak P850 (great camera also, but slow to my taste) and finally this S9000, belive me this is a great choice it is the only camera that I have found that is positivly compared to DLSR and still being a prosumer camera, that tells a lot.
5-0 out of 5 stars Great Camera with Great Features
Many of the options on this camera are mechanically on the body of the camera rather than on an internal menu so wanting a change in focusing method etc is easy!Shaking is no problem with the 10.7x optical zoom and warning icons appear if it may be a problem.Icons appear if the subject isn't focused warning you to change the focusing method.Automatic power turnoff to save batteries after two or five minutes, your choice. You can set the camera to take instant pictures; again, your choice. This camera allows you to set your options rather than have the camera go to default after power off and having to change it back to your option. That was a problem I had with my previous camera.Maybe a little pricey, but the results are great! ... 1-0 out of 5 stars Not for me
Had it for one weekend and returned it.Main problem was the lack of an optical viewfinder.Trying outside shots, the LCD washed out so badly in the sun, I could barely make out what I shooting.Could not compose; could not ensure it focused correctly.Terrible!(Of course, this could be an issue with any camera with no viewfinder; Don't know.)

1-0 out of 5 stars Silver Casing Defective
There is a manufactoring defect with the casing on this camera... the silver material is very breakable. After a couple months of owning this item the battery comparement latch broke off so now I have to hold it closed. The same exact thing happened to me with a similarly designed earlier model (Stylus 300). The design structure of this series is very poor.
5-0 out of 5 stars Great camera, large screen, rechargeable battery
I liked the size and features of this camera. I especially liked the fact that the battery is rechargeable, as we have had other cameras that quickly go through AA batteries. This camera has a large screen, is user friendly, and fairly sturdy.A cover conceals and protects the cable ports.

2-0 out of 5 stars Disappointed!
This is my second digital camera. I started with an HP 318 - anice starter camera. When I decided to step up I did not research well enough. I get some very good shots with the 600, but the lack of a viewfinder on a sunny day is an insurmountable problem. It is worse than shooting blind because all you see in the viewfinder is your own reflection. As a side note, Olympus tech support was totally unsympathetic and suggested I try to find a 3rd party clip on shading device for the unit. I could not find one.

5-0 out of 5 stars Works Fine

5-0 out of 5 stars picture card
The card arrived etc. Looks fine. I haven't used it yet because I have another one in the camera right now. The price was good though, and the shipping was free!

3-0 out of 5 stars My first xD card, but has developed some problems
I bought this xD card back last June, just over a year ago, when I purchased my Olympus D-425.The card has decent capacity at my preferred picture-taking resolution of 1600x1200, but unfortunately it developed some kind of glitch not long after I started using it and at least one or two photos per batch end up getting corrupted so that they can't be downloaded from the camera to my PC.This is not a _major_ problem because it affects only one or two shots out of the whole card's capacity, but I have found that, for instance, Kodak's 256mb xD card is more reliable (as well as being able to hold more shots).I still use this card but only as a backup to the Kodak card, and I'm looking at buying a 1GB card now that prices have dropped so much as I'm going to be attending a big convention next month and expect to take hundreds of pictures there. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars impulse buy
I bought this camera on impulse one day - it was a display model on sale for a great price.I own a Nikon D50 with lots of accessories, but I wanted something easier to carry - to have in my truck at all times just in case..
5-0 out of 5 stars GREAT CAMERA
I bought this camera after owning two other olympus cameras that were great. This camera is much better than I had expected, better zoom, many more settings for pretty much all situations. It took me some time to get the settings down, but now I am taking awesome pics and I especially apreciate the 10x zoom. I would recomend this to anybody. When I read the negative reviews on this camera I was very worried that it would be a bust, but the pictures and the settings make it all worth while and I have had nothing but fun with this camera. On another point, the software that comes with this camera is incredible, it allows you to change cropping, red eye and pretty much anything else it is very helpful and makes it very easy to do so...buy it.

3-0 out of 5 stars Not Impressed - except for zoom
Before this camera I had an Olympus C-3020, and i have to say that camera took sharper pics than this one does.I send photos to a stock photography website and they have not accepted any pictures I have taken with this camera due to the sharpness just not being there. The zoom is awesome though, so I am planning on keeping the camera for concert pics. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Slide Scanner
This is an excellent slide scanner and does exactly what it is supposed to do very well.Yes, it is somewhat slow, but only in comparison to regular flatbed scanners.I have the slides scan at maximum resolution, but have the final image resized to about 20%.This keeps the file size manageable (about 5 MB per scan) and still provides an image that fills the screen. With the digital corrections on (which does make a huge difference on old family slides), and some minor post-processing, it has been taking about a minute per slide.
5-0 out of 5 stars Bob King
Slow but professional quality. Not simple.Huge learning curve.Scanning is an art and craft. You don't learn it overnight or even after many weeks. For the money, this is an outstanding choice.Remember, this is only good for slides and negative............not prints

1-0 out of 5 stars If the software is bad, it doesnt matter how good the hardware is
I am not a techie but I have installed enough hardware of all kinds to know what it involves. I am also pretty handy with Photoshop and photography.

4-0 out of 5 stars Good Camera
Got it yesterday. In green. Actually it's a shiney yellowish-green. Nice feel. Fits well in shirt pocket. Very light; particullarly compared to my Pentax Optio 550. Good, nice size LCD. Easy to use yet with nice availability of choices for customization. Well written manual (you can find online thru google) and onboard help menu. Photos come out fairly nice. Tried indoors in low light with several scene settings, outdoors, macro, and supermacro. Colors look true, fairly sharp without noticable artifact. Used in South Florida morning daylight outside without any trouble with LCD viewing (camera has no classic viewfinder). Have read reviews of washout in bright sun: have not tried that yet. Overall, I'm happy with the camera thus far.

1-0 out of 5 stars would not get this camera
The camrea takes forever to turn on and has a BIG lag time between when you hit the button and it actually takes the picture. This means you often miss the photo you wanted to get. The lcd screen turns itself off inbetween photos and won't turn itself back on when you halfway press the shutter botton down. This thing eats through batteries.I'm spending some more money and am getting a canon.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Starter Camera
I purchased two cameras for my mom and me. The work great. I like the auto setting and the other scene setting work great. I havn't taken a bad shot either. I like the rapid fire button on top of the camera because I take lots of pictures of my dogs and they don't sit still for a minute.
4-0 out of 5 stars Good basic camera, pretty much idiot proof
Purchased this to replace a much more expensive Fuji that broke after only a year. For less than 1/2 the price of a Fuji F10 it takes just as good pictures in my opinion. The controls and menus are very intuitive and easy-to-use.There are even helpful hints on the screen explaining what each mode does, for the true photo novices.

1-0 out of 5 stars Battery hog, very frustrating!!!!
I haven't learned how to use all the features on this camera, but I'm sure when I do there won't be nearly enough battery power to actually do it. This camera will run about a half hour on fresh batteries, and then it just turns off. I thought it was defective, but a camera guy told me the Kodak digitals are like that. I would recommend a different brand with a special battery pack, not one that runs on two AA batteries. I'm going to try rechargables just to save some money, but this will never be a good camera for trips or outdoor stuff. Also, it sucks at landscape pics, bright colors (such as sunrises and sunsets) appear washed out and pale. Even a bright fuschia forest-fire sun is an anemic pale yellow (maybe that's just a digital thing).

1-0 out of 5 stars Bad performance. It turns off suddently at the 2nd. day.
I think Kodak is not a good brand for digital cameras. They always have some functional problem...This camera looks like a cheap material, it's heavy and not handly. I don't recommend this product. Also, the second day that I received it, it started to turn off by itself... I'm still waiting for my money back... I hope this bad purchase finish in good terms. In CONCLUSION: Do not buy Kodak Digital Cameras any more. This is my second experience with the brand...So, belive me...it will be a problem in the short term.
5-0 out of 5 stars Great camera for larger hands!
The Z700 is easy to use and comfortable in my hand. Although the flash is bright, the accompanying software takes the red out of eyes with the click of a mouse. My kids enjoy using the camera as much as I do. Loading the pictures onto the PC couldn't be easier! ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars My Best Camera Ever
I have had a couple of cameras (sony dsc models) in the past and have been looking for one that will just suite my taste in the long run. Looking for size, picture quality, media functionality, Wow! this camera does it all. For its size, I would say, anyone should go out and get this camera. The only drawback I would say is the 2GB max. SD card input and the fact that the battery dies quickly when using the PMP mode very often.

5-0 out of 5 stars Fantastic Pictures, Great Quality, Easy to use, Great features, All around Awesome Camera
I've only had the Samsung Digimax i6 6MP Digital Camera, for a couple days now, but I can't stop raving about how truly fantastic it is.

5-0 out of 5 stars Exceeds ALL expectations!!!
In this day and age of the marketing machine, many products abound in the market place that promises much more than they deliver.I am aware of this marketing machine that hypes up products, and have been extremely cautious as a consumer. That being said, I am extremely happy with this printer.
5-0 out of 5 stars premium performance (@ premium price)
I've been using the Epson R2400 for about 6 weeks now.I am extremely impressed and very satisfied with the quality of output from this printer. My work has been both (mostly) color and B&W.Output has ranged from 4x6 to 13x19.Borderless & not over this range.I have been using Moab Entrada 190 Natural paper almost exclusively with the printer.I've been using Epson K3 inks.
4-0 out of 5 stars Excellent printer
Absolutelybeautiful prints! Ink is a bit expensive but there are ways around that. I like being able to print in large sizes with such clarity and accuracy. I've always liked Epson printers; I just wish they'd make a removable print head for easier cleaning. If the print head becomes clogged; that's it! I'd suggest printing a least once every other day to keep it up to snuff. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars love
being an avid photographer with a love of altered photos, i was an instant fan of lomo cameras. the fisheye is the second one i have and i love it amazing!! plus mine is gold!

5-0 out of 5 stars Let's hear it for easy fun and creativity
This adorable lightweight camera is perfect for people who want a unique look to their photos but don't have the money to invest in fancy camera bodies and wide-angle lenses. The fisheye camera is as easy to use as any point-and-click, and it's fixed-focus lens means no zooming, focusing, or other photographic buzz-killers. What you see is what you get, wrapped into a gently bended shape with vignetted corners. The only consideration is that you must photograph well-lit subjects or shoot outside, as there is no aperature or shutter speed control-but it's a lot of fun!! Try to recreate all your favorite band photos from the '90s by shooting on high-speed black and white film.

5-0 out of 5 stars This Camera is all about YOU!
I read the comments (even the bad one) before I purchased this camera. I took a chance because for something that might be really cool, its only $40. And he was right, the viewfinder is useless, but they even tell you that in the manual. Also, you do have to get really close to the subject, and shots only come out good if there's LOTS of light (especially indoor). Anyway, my first set of prints came out just okay, with a few amazing shots. From that set of prints I learned how to maximize the potential of this camera. The key is to fill up the frame. I took a shot of my friend out in a parking lot. The foreground was just her and the background was the sky. It came out so cool because the entire frame had something in it. There were scattered clouds everywhere, if the sky had been clear it would have just been clear blue space. But because I filled up the frame with objects everywhere, there were things to be distorted with the fisheye. I took another shot of the courtyard of a tall apartment building. That came out great because there were so many vertical lines and the fisheye could bend them. This camera doesn't take great pictures by itself so don't expect it to. If you've got the talent, imagination, or just plain curiousity, it's a great way to spend $40. I love it! ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Can you say Noise ?
What more is there to say, if they fixed the noise problem I would buy it in a second.

5-0 out of 5 stars Superb design with great images, although some noise/detail compromise
I was definitely NOT disappointed with the camera, after reading so much about it and passing on the LX1 a year ago due to the reports of excessive noise in the images.
