5-0 out of 5 stars Indoor video quality sets this camera apart
I bought this camera based on the high approval rating on this site and on ConsumerReport's advice that it had excellent video quality.
5-0 out of 5 stars Comment to "Noisy...no manual features" review
I don't think you can compare this camera to the canon S2/S3 or the Sony H5.This is a compact, pocket camera that is half their size and weight. You will not get a zoom that is as clear as something that has twice the space to work with.Compare this to similar cameras: Sony Cybershots or Canon SDxxx then you would be more than impressed.3x versus 10x....no competition. If you are looking for a camera with a great zoom that is compact and easy to carry with you everywhere, then look no further. Also, ignore digital zoom when you are researching.Digital zoom just makes everything more blurry.Optical zoom is key to great pictures.Hope this helps others in their decision. :-)

5-0 out of 5 stars Panasonic lumix rocks
I owned two Panasomic Lumix cameras: FZ1 and TZ1. Besides them, I also have extensive experiences using Canon , Nikon models that were highly rated. The major usage of my camera are for shooting macro images, and nothing beats Lumix in that. The images yielded by Lumic are so precise, cripsy, natural. Once you own a Panasonic Lumix, it is difficult to go with other models. The combination of the LEICA lens, the high resolution LCD, and the magical autonomic shooting mode makes Lumix unbeatable! ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Buyer Beware -- Warranty does not cover "liquid" damages
It states clearly in the warranty policy that liquid damages are not covered. Therefore, the waterproof nature of this camera is disclaimed and not coveredby the 12-month manufacturer warranty. It seems from the failure rate of users ~20%, that this product is quite a gamble without an additional warranty.
4-0 out of 5 stars Annual "Waterproofing".
The W10 (and W20, 7MP) is/are waterproof as indicated by Pentax.
5-0 out of 5 stars super tough, hard to complain
i've had last years model (just like this except 5mp) for about a year and i can tell you one thing, it's tough!

1-0 out of 5 stars Love the camera, if it worked.
I've had to have 2 repairs for the "lens error". Without improper use, the lens will fail to open and then the camera is useless. I sent it in twice for this problem and they sent me a brand new camera since they lost my original one while fixing it, and low and behold the camera they sent will not work either! AND they sent a silver one, when i owned the orange one. Their customer service isn't exactly on the ball.
1-0 out of 5 stars Bad Customer Service
I had returned this camera twice already and it is still not working great. The pictures get blury at times (focus issues). When I sent it back under warranty they "fixed" it and sent back to me without my usermanual or the little handle string!I asked for it back and never got it back. When I realized the focus issues weren't solved I sent back and I got it in the same condition!!Bad customer service...I will send it back the third time!

5-0 out of 5 stars For its size, a great value
First Law of Photography: You can't take a photo if you don't have a camera.I never go anywhere without this shirt pocket marvel, and consequently have captured lots of pictures that otherwise would go unrecorded. This is no mobile phone quality camera - with 6 mp and 3x optical zoom and lots of other features, this thing is a great deal. And.. you can KEEP some family pics or other favorites (OK-GO on Treadmills) to share with others.

5-0 out of 5 stars I love my new digital Kodak EasyShare C530 5MP camera
I ordered this camera as a gift for myself for my birthday.I took several pictures of friends when we went out to dinner. One of my friends was very impressed with the photos that I sent to him.He was amazed at the quality of the picture and the fact that it was taken with such a small camera. The ease of using the camera, the amazing prints and the overall quality of the product is very satisfying to me.My daughter has a camera that she paid a lot more for and, in my opinion, this camera takes as good a picture if not better.I love the fact that I can take pictures, print them out without going to a store and waiting several days to get them back, and I can download them very easily into my computer (the program is very user friendly) and I can email them with a simple click of a button to family and friends.I, for one, am very pleased and happy with my purchase.I would recommend this product highly to any and all family, friends, and anyone who asks.

5-0 out of 5 stars The Kodak Easyshare C530 5MP DC & Dock are perfect!
I bought this as a gift for my sister who is currently visiting me for the summer back in June, so we've had almost a month to test it out. She had seen the camera priced ranging from $119USD-$139USD, and the dock at $127USD, so getting this combo package for less than $180 was a fantastic!

2-0 out of 5 stars I really wanted to like this camera!!

3-0 out of 5 stars I liked the camera, except for.......
I bought this camera a little over a month ago from Target for $179.99. I really liked the design of it and the fact that it was small. I thought it took great pictures and the screen size was just right for me. It was a fairly easy camera to use, but the only downside to it was that every time I took a picture, the screen would go blank/black for about 5 seconds. This got really annoying after a while, because no other camera did this. I decided to return it and get my money back. I later bought a Samsung Digimax S500 5.1mp camera from Walmart and have been happy with my decision ever since.

1-0 out of 5 stars Nikon L3 - great outside, lousy inside
Wow Nikon missed the mark with this one.The menu is just crazy - feels like a marketing guy on steroids put every conceivable ridiculous feature imaginable into this camera. The flash is worthless.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great value for the price, good performance
I had my 15x70's for over a year and I like them very much. They are ideal for a quick peek at the sky if you do not have much time to set up the telescope but still want to have a look at the heavens. I use them also as spotting binos for some deep sky objects, then I aim my large scope at the target. They are very nice to handle with the rubber finish. Good light gathering ability and good resolution. I think they are an amazing value at the advertised Amazon price, which includes shipping. It takes a little bit of practice holding them steady, but you get the hang of it rather quickly. I do not particularly like the tripod adapter, and found that they vibrate when mounted on the tripod. For everything else, they are great.

5-0 out of 5 stars Incredible Value!
I rated these a 5-star even though the first pair came out of the box with a slight collimation problem. (Double images when viewing a single star, for example) I initiated a return which Amazon was extremely prompt and shipped out a replacement set. In the two day interim, one of my "astro friends" said we could make a simple adjustment to collimate the first pair. He was right. We mounted the faulty binos on a tripod at dusk and quickly reset the collimation using the little set screws on each objective. It was really a very simple fix. I tried to stop the replacement shipment but Amazon was too quick. I returned the 2nd pair. Thanks Amazon!
4-0 out of 5 stars Very heavy
These are excellent binoculars.Very easy to use.Only negative is the weight.I knew when I bought them that they weighed 3#'s.Hard to keep still while using.Strongly recommend a tri-pod.Sorry I didn't shop more and pay a little extra for a smaller binocular. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Second one
I am now getting my second one. The first one fell out of a helikopter in Iraq so now it time to get a new one. For normal people like me its a really good camera. I took hundreds of pictures in all sorts of moving things and no othe camera any of the other guys had could match this one. Thats why i lost it because I was being silly in the helikopter....would have been a hell of apicture thow!

4-0 out of 5 stars Good camera with some flaws
I purchased this camera a few weeks ago.I decided to purchase this rather than the Canon SD600 despite my excellent history with Canon cameras. At the time, the SD600 was about $50 more than this camera, but the price of the cannon has dropped since. In short, I'm happy but not trilled with this camera. If I was to do it again, I'd go with the Canon.
5-0 out of 5 stars I like!
I upgraded to this camera finally severing the link to the previous Olympus 3020 Camedia. The Olympus cost me >$500, 5 years ago, and served me well, but the thing sucked up battery juice like a kid on a can of soda at the water park.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great for the Price
Overall I am very happy with this camera. I got it last month and have already taken 400+ pictures. Here's what I see as its pros and cons:
5-0 out of 5 stars Fuji FinePix A500 - Great Camera For the Price
I bought this camera for my teen age daughter for general use as it was time for a new camera.I wasn't expecting much for $130, however; this camera has far exceeded expectations.Pictures are clear with great color.Battery life is better than average, the camera is easy to use and we haven't experienced any problems with indoor shots. The camera is very compact. Its amazing how something so small can have a generous display and take such high quality photos.I agree with the previous review, you need an extra XD Picture Card (I ordered the 512 mb) and rechargeable batteries.Overall - we are very happy with this camera.

5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent camera for the money.
I got mine today and have been testing it out.It is small, barely bigger than a credit card (though thicker) and reasonably light.

5-0 out of 5 stars You're going to love this outfit
My first digital SLR was the D70. I stayed with slides a long time, 30 years. But with digital I had more keepers at the end of the day. Everything good about digital is enhanced by this package. Everything good that you've heard is true. Get in line. It took me 6 months to get this one. You'll have a ball.

5-0 out of 5 stars Already one of the great ones.A great deal.
The Nikon D200 is a professional camera which is also aimed at the serious amateur digital photographer. It is essentially the upgrade unit from the D100/D70s, and it incorporates solid improvements over those excellent cameras.
5-0 out of 5 stars I love this camera
My advice is to buy an extra battery and a 2MB memory card. Other than that, I love this camera. I am often complimented on the image quality and many functions of the Nikon D200.I highly recommend it to experienced photographers (it is a bit complex for those used to a point-and-shoot). ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Sounds Good!
Here is the "bigger brother" to the Kodak Easy Share V570.This one has 7.1M Pixels instead of the V570's 5.0M Pixels. Thus, the specs indicate a blowup of up to 20X30 is possible. The Camera has a separate23mm super wide angle lens. The wide angle lens is what makes this camera "special".This camera seems to me to be a "better deal" than the $50 less expensive V570. For the extra $50 you get more pixels allowing you to make larger blow-ups even up to 20X30. You also get a 5X telephoto instead of a 3X telephoto.Email:boland7214@aol.

5-0 out of 5 stars No more film for this artist.
The potential for creativity and control with this camera is astounding and a Leica lens! For the price some of the expectations in the reviewshave been a little high. This is not an SLR and should not be compared to one. Give this camera a try. Use a tripod, invest in the best photo paper and get in close. This camera will follow your lead with a very strong finish.
5-0 out of 5 stars BIGGGG step up over the terrific FZ5 except in pixels
I loved the FZ5 but up'ed to the FZ7 not for 1 MP but the bigger LCD.To my surprise, I find the menu and button layout improved and intuitive.I can't compare this to similar Sony and Canon offerings but this camera is for sure smaller and very light. The image stab is unbelieveable..when I'm hiking at 8 to 12 K feet and stop to take a pix, I'm breathing hard and can see the viewfinder jump in time with my pulse. No prob, sqeeze off a shot at ISO 100 and the image is crisp. This should have been an 8 MP camera if Panasonic wanted to really wanted offer an "upgrade"...too bad, but for me 6 MP works.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great trade-off camera at this price point!
I resisted providing a review of this camera for about 2 months now in order to make sure everything was as I would like it.I can now say that this camera is a great choice for those that are looking for a trade-off between ultra-compact, and long-zoom SLR.I recently took it to a Black Eyed Peas concert that was in the evening. The pictures I took at 12x zoom were really good. The large screen is perfect for sharing with friends immediately. The simple mode is good for taking most pictures, and if you like to fiddle, it's got just enough of the manual features to give you those options. It's considerably lighter than a digi-SLR, with a better form-factor (I think) than either the Canon S3 or Sony H2.I would definitely recommend. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Go with Nikon!
I just received my Nikon Coolpix 5200 a couple of days ago and I'm already in love! This is my second digital camera and already I know that we will have many memories together! I like that this camera is small and compact but still has the ability to take amazing pictures. I love the variety of different modes - such as party mode, sunset, and even firework mode. This makes it versatile and easy to use. Out of all the cameras that I looked at while shopping around, I chose this one because of the built-in red eye reduction. I feared that this camera would be a piece of junk because of the low price but I was wrong. Buy this camera, you won't be let down!!

Just like Francisco wrote above. Excellent low-light (without nightshot infrared), with a color-enhancement low-light feature.
1-0 out of 5 stars Handycam incompatible with Windows XP Service Pack 2
Yes, this is a great Camera,as many of these in depth reviews show, however the bundled software is incompatible with Windows XP service pack 2, which makes editing impossible as the operating sytem will not recognize the hardware because sony's drivers haven't passed Logos tests. After spending hours on the phone troubleshooting it turns out that Sony's drivers are not service pack 2 approved and they've done nothing to release updated compatible downloads on their website which would solve the problem. So I lodged a complaint and am considering getting rid of the handycam as it is not very handy when you can't edit anything. Basically it's a great camera but the software is plagued with compatibility issues and is not user friendly. I am really upset that I spent this much on a camcorder that claims to be compatible with my system and it turns out that it is not, and it would seem that it would not be very hard for Sony to release an updated driver that would fix this problem. Shame on you Sony.

3-0 out of 5 stars the Handycam Station is not very handy
This is a nice camcorder but the Handycam Station makes it less appealing. I have to remember to take the docking station everywhere I travel. What makes it worse is that the Handycam Station is very loosely snapped onto the camcorder. It can easily fall off and disconnect when you try to transfer video/picture through it. The camcorder itself does not have USB or IEEE1394 built-in. All these vital ports are in the Handycam Station. If it were not for this awkward docking station, I would have bought this camcorder. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Value
I bought these to view sporting events, concerts, and to do look at dolphins and wildlife at the beach. They are very nice, very clear, and a nice wide view. I looked at something with a stronger zoom, but picked these because the image is more stable on something less zoom. I don't think you can beat these binoculars in this price range.

5-0 out of 5 stars Nikon Action 8x40 Binoculor is Fantastic
I just received these binoculars and can't put them down. They have great optics which give very crisp images. They focus and handle beautifully. They are fairly light at 26 ounces and was very pleased all around with their excellent performance as a great birding binocular. With BAK-4 High Index Prisms and quick central focusing and what appears to be even closer focusing distance than what they approximate you will extremely pleased with choosing the Nikon Action 8x40. Also very easy to hand hold without getting a shaky image as with much heavier binoculars. The perfect combination of power and light gathering ability. You'll absolutely love them. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great Price.Great Camera.
I recently bought my Fuji F470 and have been blown away by how easy it is to use.Its so lightweight and small and the picture quality is fantastic.I tried the Olympus FE-190 before this one but the picture quality was terrible. If you're looking for a camera to take everyday pictures, this is a great one.

4-0 out of 5 stars Great camera!
small inexpensive camera but very good for the price. Takes great pictures and records short movies. The quality of both movies and pictures is outstanding.Very good in the dark as well as in the sun.The only problem I've encountered so far is that when you are taking a picture in the dark, you might not see anything on the monitor, but the picture comes out excellent. Another thing is that you can only delete pictures one by one but it's not that bad, since you are protected from deleting all by pressing a button by accident. Camera comes with FinePix software to get your photos and movies onto the PC.

4-0 out of 5 stars So Far, it's great
I have been researching digital cameras because I am going to Europe for a year and want to take pictures, which I mostly will be sending back by email.I wanted at least 5MPs in my camera and I wanted to get a halfway decent size card to store pictures, all for under $300.I have been using my parents Canon Powershot SD400 Digital Elph that has great quality, but I was worried about the LCD screen because I might be a little rough on the camera (i.e., backpacking, shoving into a bag or my pocket) and it didn't fit into my budget. I looked at the Casio Exilim, but I did not want to use a cradle to download my pictures if I was traveling with my laptop.I decided on the Fuji because it had 6MPs, a large screen and seemed like it got well reviews.I just received it and have been taking pictures and movies with it.The photo quality is great when downloaded on to the computer. It took a while to get use to the quality on the screen because it is not as good as the Canon I have. The movies are great, but I cannot zoom when filming (not a real big deal). The sound quality isn't as good as my other camera but that could be my computer or the fact that the talking subject was close to the mic.I don't mind not having a view finder because I never really used it on my other digital cameras. The buttons would be rather small for some one with big fingers but I have no problem.I not too sure about the software I am still playing around with it, but it seems just like every other digital camera software.

5-0 out of 5 stars Perfect for Slow Hands
I'm a journalist and this device has been an absolute lifesaver. In interviews, meetings, or simple voice dictation, the DM-10 is just slightly heavier (a definite plus) that Olympus's other "sleeker" models, but is certainly small enough to carry around in your front pocket. I've had mine for over two years, and it's used everyday, has been dropped on several occasions, and has never failed me. TheDSS Player software works on Mac, and is slightly awkward, but has never hindered the overall performance. I keep all important interviews and recordings on a backup hard drive, which is far more convenient and less space consuming than mini tapes.
4-0 out of 5 stars Excellent for preventing a student's writer's cramp
I bought this little recorder because I was getting writer's cramp taking notes for four classes. It easily holds a day's worth of lectures without a problem and picks up every word that's said, though some of the comments from the audience get lost. The microphone is quite sensitive; I accidently turned it on when I shoved it in my pocket, and it still picked up every single word. Amazing! It's quite durable and very easy to use; I download lectures to my computer every night, and there they are when I need to review.
4-0 out of 5 stars Olympus DM-10 Digital Voice Recorder
I used this recorder to record rehearsal sessions for a chorus I am in.Previously, I had used a much less expensive tape recorder, and this is so much better. There really is no comparison. There is no way to turn it off (I think), so you will have to replace the batteries after a month or so.I do recommend the Olympus DM-10. ...
