5-0 out of 5 stars Fantastic Camcorder- Great Value
This is a great camcorder for the price. If you are looking at the Panasonic PV-GS line of camcorders, This is the way they should rate:
4-0 out of 5 stars Great economical 3CCD video camera. Works with OS X.
I have no complaints about this camera. Very happy with my purchase. It does the job and captures great video. And I have had no problem transferring video via Firwire running OS X on my MacBook using Apple's Final Cut Express HD software.

5-0 out of 5 stars Worth all the time I spent researching it!
I just got my Panasonic PV-GS500 camcorder/digital camera on Friday.I have not had a lot of time to completely try out all its features (which probably has more than I will ever use for either personal or business reasons), but I already love it.One review states that it is over 3 pounds. This is only true if you include all the accessories that come with it.Normal operation (a lens cap, hand strap, tape, SD card, and battery), along with the camera/camcorder, put this unit at just under 1.4 pounds, which is certainly NOT heavy. Also, Amazon does a disservice to potential customers when it lists "What's in the box?" on this page.More than the three items mentioned comes with this camcorder. In fact, everything that the company packages with this camcorder comes with it.To see which accessories are included, you can go to Panasonic's website, click on this product, and view its product manual. The included accessories are listed near Page 12, I believe. You get things like cables, batteries, remotes, a manual, software, etc.I have never written a review before, but these two things compelled me to do so.I love this camera, and Amazon is reputable and offers a great price on it.I did a lot of research on all camcorder/camera combos, and this one won out in my opinion. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars GENIAL

4-0 out of 5 stars The more I use the camera, the better I like it!
This is a handy little camera.I bought it because I wanted a small camera to carry with me.It takes a while to become used to the manual features, but once you do, you can take some nifty close ups.The movies feature is incredible with accurate voice quality and picture.Overall the accuracy of color is excellent too. This camera has met all the expectations I had and more.

4-0 out of 5 stars Nice camera but some others are better
This camera is nice, but a bit pricey considering that the pictures are more the size of a 6 mp camera than 8.1. About half the pictures in less than perfect lighting are not useable. Low light pictures are terrible. Flash is a bit more powerful than other cameras this size. Be careful about turning on the camera with the lens blocked. Making this mistake even once will end the life of the camera. Movie mode is outstanding... best I have seen in a camera this size. Not as fast between shots as it is turning on. Digital zoom is mostly a joke, but it can actually be used with some success and perfect lighting on this camera. Various Best Shot choices are awesome. This is my ninth digital camera, running all the way back to 1992. For versatility and great movies, this camera is a top choice. Also uses cheap SD cards, a real plus. Battery life is very good. I have used the camera extensively for a month.

Sized to slip easily into a pocket or purse, the Fujifilm FinePix F650 6MP Digital Camera might be diminutive, but the small size doesn't prevent the camera from having a big, sharp, 5x optical zoom lens. The camera's lens has a focal range equivalent to 36-180mm on a 35mm camera. Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars WAITINGA LONG TIME FOR THE RIGHT DIGITAL TO COME ALONG
WHEN THE CANON ELPH 35mm CAME OUT YEARS AGO, I WAS THE FIRST TO HAVE ONE... I WANTED THEN,A CAMERA THAT WAS SMALL(POCKET SIZE), CONVENIENT, NICELY PRICED AND EASY TO USE ...
5-0 out of 5 stars A great buy!
This is my first digital camera, so I've let my friends make the learning mistakes. This camera has everything I need, nothing too fancy and takes great pictures. This camera is easy to use, lightweight, and the 3in screen is a show stopper! No complaints, although I was a bit nervous because the screen is a bit grainy, but the actual pictures are NOT!The price was RIGHT on amazon, you can't get a 3MP for this much at any big box store.I just wanted to leave my praise because I rely on feedback myself.

5-0 out of 5 stars Takes great pictures
I had an old Fuji 3.2 MP that took great pictures but was big and had a delay when you snapped the picture that made it difficult to take fast action shots, good for portrait type shots though.

5-0 out of 5 stars nervous at first, now, very excited about it
I did a lot of research before buying my first digital camera.I wanted a quality camera, and I went back and forth between the $300+ and the under $150 camera's.I chose this one because I figured at $140, 5MP, and 3x optical zoom, I would use it for a year and then get a new one and not feel gipped.Well, the camera is so great!I knew nothing about digital camera's, the instructions use language that I'm not familiar with, but the camera is very user friendly. It takes some tinkering with, but it's easy to figure everything out.Pictures come out crystal clear. The different picture scene modes make for some creative pictures.I travel a lot, I love to go out to the clubs and bars, party in the moonlight and dance till the sun rises, I love to do outdoor and indoor sports... this camera is light, small, I can keep it in my pocket, and it takes great pictures.I have a mac computer, so the cd didn't load.. but all you have to do is connect the camera and the computer and an icon pops up.Do a little copy and paste, easy. The battery life is good.I like the fact that it used AA batteries, because when travelling overseas, it's easy to buy batteries, and more difficult to make sure you find an outlet to charge your camera. After about 4 days of using it continuously, the battery still was a little over 1/2 full.I was a little concerned about the optical zoom, thought maybe I should invest in a camera that had more... well, after taking a picture of a house, I was able to zoom in and read the words on a post-it note on the front door- 3x is plenty!I Highly recommend this camera.

5-0 out of 5 stars Totally terrific camera!!!!
This is supposedly an entry level digital camera, but I have already found more cool bells and whistles than I will ever use. Since most of my photography is of performance horses, I was very interested in how the camera would handle the in motion pictures. The "sports" mode stops them in their tracks with totally terrific resolution. It is very easy to operate with on screen menus that really are effortless to use.
4-0 out of 5 stars Good Camera for the price
Camera has good features and decent battery life for a "regular" camera. For those of you who don't need a special camera and just want something that can take decent pictures. This is a good one.I like it. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Indoor video quality sets this camera apart
I bought this camera based on the high approval rating on this site and on ConsumerReport's advice that it had excellent video quality.
5-0 out of 5 stars Comment to "Noisy...no manual features" review
I don't think you can compare this camera to the canon S2/S3 or the Sony H5.This is a compact, pocket camera that is half their size and weight. You will not get a zoom that is as clear as something that has twice the space to work with.Compare this to similar cameras: Sony Cybershots or Canon SDxxx then you would be more than impressed.3x versus 10x....no competition. If you are looking for a camera with a great zoom that is compact and easy to carry with you everywhere, then look no further. Also, ignore digital zoom when you are researching.Digital zoom just makes everything more blurry.Optical zoom is key to great pictures.Hope this helps others in their decision. :-)

5-0 out of 5 stars Panasonic lumix rocks
I owned two Panasomic Lumix cameras: FZ1 and TZ1. Besides them, I also have extensive experiences using Canon , Nikon models that were highly rated. The major usage of my camera are for shooting macro images, and nothing beats Lumix in that. The images yielded by Lumic are so precise, cripsy, natural. Once you own a Panasonic Lumix, it is difficult to go with other models. The combination of the LEICA lens, the high resolution LCD, and the magical autonomic shooting mode makes Lumix unbeatable! ... Read more

If you are looking to own an inexpensive polaroid camera for nostalgic purposes or to have fun with, then I would highly recommend this camera.
5-0 out of 5 stars A pretty sweet camera
Yeah, Sweet camera. It was basically ready out of the box once I added the film. Everyobody thinks it's really cool. It's great to have the instant photos, so real and so tangible. Each picture is one of a kind.
3-0 out of 5 stars Polaroid One600
The camera does what it is supposed to do--take photos. It is best when used close up and in bright(er) light. When using flash, the subject should be in "pretty good" light to begin with. This camera isn't for landscapes nor close-ups (such as flower blossoms). ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great quality, great pictures, amazing PnS camera.
Yesterday, I got home with my new sd800. And due to the scrutiny of the forums, I immediately had to test it. I compared exact duplicate shots from my SD550 to this "upgrade" sd800. I am very sad to say that in normal shooting conditions, this model just couldn't keep up. The main things I saw the sd800 losing horribly to the sd550 in were: picture clarity, sharpness (edge to edge) and color accuracy (the sd800's produces a very warm shot, too much yellow & red). This was a disappointment indeed when you compare the fact that my sd550 is almost a year old.
4-0 out of 5 stars Nice, sleek, sharp,... noisy
10 megapixels, digital macro, telephoto, high ISO, higher definition video, less noise even at higher ISO settings. A nice little package that is worth the upgrade from the SD700 series, and coupled with a 4GB Sandisk SDHC, you got yourself a semi-proffesional, portable photography platform...

5-0 out of 5 stars best prints I have ever seen
Easy install, no need to install any overbloated software. Great printouts on glossy and matt photo paper. Read the Manual on solving color managment problems if you use Photoshop CS2 so that what you see on the monitor is what you get. If you use Photoshop Elements it has a setting just for the epson R1800. Prints beautifull lables on TDK matt white DVD's with the included software. you can use nero's label making software but you must set the paper type to (epson stylus photo R800 A4) so that it is centered on the disk. All in all the best wide format photo printer I have seen .

2-0 out of 5 stars Mac Users Beware!
This printer does not print tiled documents from either Indesign or Illustrator. It also is very hard to set the page set up for the printer because the driver written for this printer conflicts with the settings in the print dialog box of the software. I have seen this happen in both Illustrator and Indesign. Very frustrating. I called Epson about this, they told me to call Adobe who told me to call Epson. I'm really sorry I remained loyal to Epson and didn't opt for the Canon.

5-0 out of 5 stars Amazing printer for photos or art!
I first saw this printer in action when I saw someone turn a digital photo into a digital painting using Corel Painter (seeing the results from that software product, Painter, is what made me start looking at Corel software products for photos) and then printed it out on matte paper. Wow!!! Very impressive! The water color paints were amazing and the colors printed out were so vibrant and realistic, that I had to get this Epson Photo R1800 printer.

5-0 out of 5 stars better than ever
I've had the S5 about two weeks now and payed about $150 less than the S1 I bought a year and a half ago...that one went swimming with me by accident. So far, I've notice a few substantial improvemements.1)faster time from button pushing to picture. So much so that I've been waiting for it to take the picture long after it already has and I'd missed it.2) Considerable improvement in the movie mode (15fps before to 30fps now) and the playback no longer requires a microscope.3) the definition has improved even more so than the 5.1mp to 6.0 megapixel bump would suggest.Lastly, the controls are far better positioned and thought out for ease of use.
4-0 out of 5 stars S5 Rates High
I just bought a Nikon S5 and it hasn't been out of my pocket since it arrived in the mail. This is my 3rd Nikon but first digital camera. I am struggling with the limitations of digital over film but I think this camera is great. It produces beautiful images and I find it easy to manipulate. The camera is small and the photographer has to be careful not to get fingers in the photo as it has limited space to keep hold of it while taking the picture. A person with big hands might not be comfortable with this camera. The LCD is huge which is fantastic, but the biggest drawback is that the LCD is difficult to see in bright sunlight. All of the features are easily accessible, and the menu is reasonably intuitive. Like most digital cameras there is a maddening delay between pressing the button to take the picture and the camera actually capturing the subject. After the 2-3 flashes for red eye reduction, many of the people in my photos have moved onto a different expression or react to the intensity of the flash. The body design and the metal case make it tough, I have smacked it around kayaking and rock climbing and it is holding up under the abuse. I gave it 4 stars because it's not perfect but it's a nice little camera.

5-0 out of 5 stars Great entry level DSLR!
Not much to add to the other positive reviews posted, other than I am another user that loves my D50. Have had it for a year now and shot over 10,000 photos with excellent results (mostly landscape and wildlife).Excellent image quality and the hand grip fits perfectly to both my hand and my husbands.
5-0 out of 5 stars Unless you are a sport journalist, you can't go wrong with this camera.
The Nikon D50 is my fourth digital camera, and my first SLR camera. I don't know why I didn't try SLR earlier, but now I have decided that I will never go back to non-SLR cameras (well, I still have my other 3 point and shoot digital cameras which sometime is more convenient to carry.) I guess I'm just trying to show how much I like the SLR camera.

I am very happy with this camera. It takes very good photos in automatic mode, but all the extra features make you want to learn how to take amazing photos. Also, I have big hands so the camera feels a lot nicer in my hands than the Canon Digital Rebel XT.The only improvements I would make to the camera are:

5-0 out of 5 stars I could have spent over $1000 for a camera with just as many features
But my wife would have killed me. For the past couple of years I started to get more into photography as a hobby. When a friend, who liked my photographs so much, asked me to photograph their wedding I decided I better invest in something more than just a little point and shoot camera. After doing much research between the Canon Rebel XT and the Olympus E500 I decided to purchase the Olympus and I can honestly say that I have not regretted it. Not only does the Olympus have advanced features that allow me to experiment with the look of my photos, it also has some functions that are familiar to point and shoot users so that someone like my wife can pick up the camera and not feel intimidated by it. The size and weight of the camera is not too big or heavy and the handle grip fits just right. That's more than I can say for the Rebel XT's small and somewhat cheap plastic feel. Yes there are better cameras out there but are well over the $1,000 mark, but it's great to go to a wedding, take pictures, and have people tell me that my photos came out just as good or better than the professional photographer that they hired.

5-0 out of 5 stars The little camera that could...
This is a great, great camera. It is well put together, takes great pictures, most imporantly, it has good balance, and feels great in your hands. It has that quality well-built feel, not that "plasticy" feeling that I got holding the Canon Rebel XT or the Nikon D50, that made me put them down and pick up their bigger "brothers" like the D200.
5-0 out of 5 stars Excellent Value
The two lense package is an excellent value. This is a well built camera with a ton of features. The provided lenses are of good quality unlike the kit lenses with other cameras.I'm completey satisfied with the camera and creativity it inspires.Like all dslrs it's very easy to take a bad picture with this camera, but with a little practice the results are far better than point and shoots.

3-0 out of 5 stars Problem with Borders
This printer literally sits on the same shelf as an Epson 3810 and Canon ip6600D.I also have a Epson RX500 somewhere else. So, I'm making direct comparisons here.
2-0 out of 5 stars Dismal service
Had to return replacement unit as it was clear it was dropped in shipping and would not feed paper. After many hours running tests and sitting on the phone they agreed to send a 2nd replacement. One area of disappointment was that the number to call for a UPS pickup was for a phone service call-girl. I tried to explain this to HP to no avail. All in all I found the experience disappointing.

2-0 out of 5 stars Poor Reliability
While I agree the photo quality is outstanding with this printer, mine failed after fewer than a dozen uses. The photo tray stopped feeding 4x6 paper, even after spending $25 on an HP paper feed cleaner designed for this model. To make matters worse, the replacement offer from HP is slightly worse than buying a brand-new HP 8250 printer direct from Amazon. On the plus side, HP customer service was extremely patient while I hunted for my misplaced receipt to prove warranty eligibility (which I couldn't). Ouch! UPDATE: The next day I finally located my receipt, but the 1-year warranty had expired by 10 days. HP would not honor the elapsed warranty and charged me the full replacement amount ($99) for another printer. Pretty chintzy. ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars Great value, works perfectly
This is a great little device, bought for my wife's business. It records conversations between two people perfectly at its mid-quality and we are still on our first batteries even after considerable usage. Others have mentioned difficulty loading down to XP but it worked for us exactly as per the instructions (we have XP Home). The lowest quality was not good enough to hear clearly on play back but the capacity on its mid quality is plenty for this not to matter. HQ is very clear. I would thoroughly recommend it, especially at this price

4-0 out of 5 stars 4 stars for the device; 1 star for the software+driver
This is an excellent recorder. Very impressed with it. It's very sensitive and picks up anything at a distance. Sound quality is quite decent. We use it to record our baby's sounds.
3-0 out of 5 stars Cheap and handy
I've been using this little gizmo to record lectures for a while and I'm quite happy about it. It seems that the olympus voice recorders are becoming a standard: most of my classmates who record the lectures in class have one.

4-0 out of 5 stars Digital camera
After much research and consideration, I decided to purchase this fine little camera. This is my first digital camera and it was an excellent choice.I seriously considered getting a Canon Powershot but was a little apprehensive due to their recent problems with the dreaded e18 error messages.Granted, this Olympus camera is a new model so not much is known about potential risks, but I was willing to take a gamble and purchase it.Plus, with an excellent price point, I felt confident about my decision.
4-0 out of 5 stars good pictures, very decentfor the price
this is a nice camera from olympus ,the big lcd is plus .It's small enough to fit in your pocket and fits comfortably in my hands. The image quality is good ,however the guide setting is very useful and pictures come out pretty clean, sharp and focused. The other settings results in soft images and the dis mode(digital image stabalization)results are noisy but stil usefull upto 4x6 prints. The battery life is mediocore, since it uses aa batteries,i recommend rechargeable they last long. For its low price ,large lcd,and good image quality ,i would recommend this camera to anybody. In the end its a good buy. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Handycan is E-A-S-Y
My husband has been after me for quite some time to purchase the sony DVD Handycam. Neither one of us likes to fool around with transferring of tapes. We both love just finalizing the disc, then popping it into the DVD recorder. It is sooooooooo user friendly, and the touch screen is amazing. So far the greatest feature is the night lighting/ dim lighting feature. That has been great for our sons' later football games. It makes it look like you are shooting in the day light. GREAT PURCHASE. As always Sony lives up to it reputation. ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Great little printer!!
I bought this printer at the bequest of a customer for his home office install. It works great and the Bluetooth option is worth getting!Basically the only difference between the 460C, 460WF and 460WBT is the type of card includes for the Compact Flash slot.WF has a Wireless CF card, and the WBT has a Bluetooth CF Card.If your laptop is bluetooth capable and WBT option is great - no wires and setup literally takes 5 mins. The printer turns on quickly (the self test is only a few seconds) and printing is very fast for an inkjet.Quality is par with other inkjets (not laser quality but very close).I highly recommend this printer for travellers or people who need something with small footprint for small spaces or those who want something light/sleep looking.HP came up with a winner with the 460c. ... 4-0 out of 5 stars A great simple camera
I just needed something small, simple, and inexpensive. After comparing prices, I decided on this camera. I am enjoying very much, it takes great pictures and is really easy to use. The only problem I have with it is that the buttons (especially the 4 way control and OK) are a bit sensitive, so use a little care untill you get used to the way the camera works.

4-0 out of 5 stars Cool little camera
I personally enjoy this camera. I dont see anything wrong with it. Well, except that the video doesnt have any audio. Other than that, I really like this camera. It has taken great photos and I can take it anywhere.

4-0 out of 5 stars Smallest camera in the price rangeand good photos are posssible.
I have had the camera for about 6 months and do not regret it a bit. That does not mean it is a perfect camera. First of all here are the list of requirements I had when I was shopping for it.#1) smallsize #2) AA batteries #3) SD Card memory #4) 4MP or better#5) $100-130 range #6) good battery life #7) no optical zoom #8) convenient and easy to use. This camera hit on all cylinders and still does.I know someone is going to say why no optical zoom???Great question.Start up time and shutter lag is much more pronounced with optical zoom. Also, the more reviews I read on cameras that were already above my price range the common phrase went something like "I XXXXXX and the lens won't work anymore XXXXX camera is dead" It seemed to be the fragile and weak point of the less expensive cameras. Optical zooms also increased my price range and battery drain. When backpacking I do not want to pack more batteries. Would I have loved to have one of the credit card sized Exilim's with zoom and all?Sure, they were too much money and besides this camera was going backpacking and all sorts of stuff it was likely to get beat up.I wanted something solid and so far it is.The things I discovered I like about this camera that I did not know before hand are #1) the software is the easiest and best I have ever encountered.I did have some difficulty installing it.One call to cust service and he walked me through the steps of how to shut down the conflicting application and install it and I have never had an issue yet.I thought the simplicity and small size would be nice. I underestimated how nice it is.Because I can carry it anywhere and use it quickly and easily I take far more pictures. My kids take far more pictures and they take great pictures. My wife who could not use anything but a disposable point and shoot can use it.If you have not figured it out, we like this camera. Now a couple of things to balance out my review.I bought the c310 Easyshare for my son.In comparing photos I noticed a couple of things. Some of my photos would be very contrasty and his would be more balanced and even.I have read these cameras electronically boost color saturation and I think they went too far with it on my camera. But still good pictures in most cases. In low light I could not get it to take good pictures. The flash reaches about 7-10 feet and then it was all black.I found out if there was some light and I turned the flash off I would be able to get a picture and in some cases a good one.I could not figure this out until I read that the ISO range is 100-400 with auto adjustment except in flash mode. Then it locked at 140.Problem solved.Turn the camera on, push the flash control button 3 times to turn it off and it may take an OK picture. With the flash turned off atleast you have a chance. It still is not a good low light camera but most in this price range are not going to be.That is a feature that costs more. All in all, this camera is a keeper? YEP.It will never be my only camera and it is not perfect, but for a small affordable camera that can go anywhere and be ready to use at a moment's notice it gets the job done.It is not and never will be perfect nor will it be a professional photographers dream but it is mine and I like it. ... 5-0 out of 5 stars Second one
I am now getting my second one. The first one fell out of a helikopter in Iraq so now it time to get a new one. For normal people like me its a really good camera. I took hundreds of pictures in all sorts of moving things and no othe camera any of the other guys had could match this one. Thats why i lost it because I was being silly in the helikopter....would have been a hell of apicture thow!

4-0 out of 5 stars Good camera with some flaws
I purchased this camera a few weeks ago.I decided to purchase this rather than the Canon SD600 despite my excellent history with Canon cameras. At the time, the SD600 was about $50 more than this camera, but the price of the cannon has dropped since. In short, I'm happy but not trilled with this camera. If I was to do it again, I'd go with the Canon.
