I thought this would work great for me. It's roomy and soft. I also have the same problem of my iPac comming on while in this case and then I have no power when I want to use it and any new information is lost.

Battery warning!
I don'tknow if it is a quirk of my PocketPC or of the case, but my unit apparently turns itself on spontaneously. Maybe something in the case presses the power button, or maybe my unit is crazy, but I just lost EVERYTHING that was in my PocketPC because some engineer decided they didn't actually want to engineer a product. ... too little info provided to order
I received this battery pack, only to find out that it requires the Expansion Pack Plus to work. Nothing in the write-ups indicated this. Now I have a battery pack with no place to connect it. Now ... I have to figure out how to return it ... sigh.

Not a good deal is you have battery problems
I bought this battery pack in hopes of extending the life of my Compaq Ipaq 3635. The battery now holds a charge for less that a minutes, and dies. I received this battery pack, only to find out that it requires the Expansion Pack Plus to work. That means, it cost nearly $150 to replace a poor battery, if you include the cost of the Expansion Pack Plus, plus a slimline battery.

Unless you own the Expansion Pack Plus, don't buy this. Either change PDAs, or get a do-it-yourself install kit for the internal battery on the IPAQ. ... Read more

Useful Add-on
I've been very satisfied with this keyboard, although I almost didn't get it after reading the reviews. Thankfully, I got it anyway! I'm a touch-typist with large hands, and I've been able to use it without having to look down very often. My fingers are able to get around to the keys well, but as another reviewer mentioned, some keys are in different places, like a notebook computer.

The unit folds down very compactly, which makes it easy to slip into a pocket or just tote along with the iPAQ.

My co-workers who also have iPAQs are very jealous of my keyboard, especially when I type in business cards or take notes in meetings. Highly recommended!

Space Bar Correction
Initially when I bought this product I had experienced the same space bar issue I read about later. I liked everything else about it. I was within warranty so I returned it for another, and this one works perfect. I like it much better than the infrared models and its extremely handy for meetings. HP gave me excellent service on this as well.

Never enough!
It is great to have a few of these stylus pens around. Invariably I will put one down and it will not resurface for a day or so. Now I can continue what I am doing simply by reaching for one from my handy supply and when the "other one" resurfaces it can be placed with the others who so paitiently await their turn for duty.

Exact replacements for the one that came with the iPAC
What else can one say about a stylus other than as indicated by the title? It's hard to imagine how one would break the origional stylus, but if one does, it would be really great to have a spare handy to replace it.

When you need it, its there in the car to do its thing.
When the battery runs down while in the car ... I listen to mp3s as my car radio doesn't work and the music is better with ear phones anyway ... you are just stuck with a dead iPAC until you can get it to the cradle ... unless you have this really useful charger stored in the glove compartment. Just plug one end into the cigarette lighter and the other end to the iPAC and you are back in business again, whether listening to music or just needing the iPAC fully charged for that important appointment. A great accessory!

Dont leave home without it.
The batteries fizzle on the ipaq pretty quick. You'll need
this to keep a fresh charge.

Navman GPS 3450 Comments
I have wanted a color GPS handheld for a while. I saw a special on the Navman GPS 3450 and bought. I updated the sleeve's firmware and installed the provided software. I was unable to copy the maps to my 3670 Ipaq directly (the provided software would not see it), so I copied them directly to a flash card. I am impressed with the location finding (usually at least five satellites in about 45 seconds). The direction finding has been good and the voice directions are great, but finding a location entering the address has failed several times leading me to manually find it on the map. The GPS sleeve also works with Microsoft Streets and Trip for PocketPC, but with a slower update speed. Both map programs don't work at the same time, but it is nice to have a confirming map. I use the suction cup to hold a 3670 Ipaq and GPS sleeve on the car window with no problem. I was first afraid that the suction cup and with the weight of the Ipaq would fall off over hard bumps such as railroad tracks, but no problems so far. The power drain form the GPS sleeve is enough that I leave mine plugged into the cigarette lighter when driving.

It's OK given the relatively low price
Just got back from my vacation using the GPS. The software required reboot frequently. The map in some area are not accurate. The routing didn't give the fastest route sometimes. You need a real map as a backup in case the software fails on you - it happened to me on my return trip.

Confusing docs, software oddities, missing parts
The docs for the 3450 are confusing. The box says iPaq 36xx and PocketPC 2000 (aka Windows CE 3.0). The internal paperwork says iPaq 37xx and above, PocketPC 2002 minimum.

Application itself is odd. Click on "Exit Application" does not shut the app down, I have to kill it via Task Switcher. It attempts to be smart about taking the street/area you're typing in and auto-completing...which usually results in the cursor moving and you have to retype or delete letters.

The 3450 does not support WAAS, so accuracy suffers. I find that on freeways which have frontage roads or long parallel interchange ramps the location jumps back and forth; I'm on the freeway, I'm not on the freeway...

For some unknown reason when I put the iPaq 3630 into the GPS sled it drops the volume way down. This was not the way it operated when I first setup and tried the unit, it just started today. I do a soft reset on the iPaq, sound is maxed and *loud*. iPaq into sled, sound goes way down. Sound *stays* down if I remove the sled, and until I soft reset.

Finally, injury to insult: the box claims that the kit comes with a 12v lighter adaptor for power. Not. Navman customer service is apparently split across two different divisions. The one that handles the 3450 has a phone number that's always busy. ... Read more

Solid handheld. Solid price.
This is the top of the line of the pocket pc. Get this, and you will have many bragging rights. No other handheld can say it has bluetooth, wlan, and a fingerprint reader included. But make sure you know abut how those features work before you buy.

Bluetooth- you can buy a usb bluetooth adapter for your computer. If you're wondering what bluetooth is, it's a new tpe of wireless connection (to put it simply). The usb adapter allows you to activesync your handheld from anywhere within a hundred meteres (also alows for internet). There are also bluetooth printers, GPS units and headsets. It can be a little tricky when you first use it, there are not much instructions (but there is a basic overview)

WLAN- Get internet on your handheld! Large pages are hard to scroll, it's more of a special feature than a useful one. Does allow email to be sent directly frm your handhed, which can be useful.

Fingerprint reader- 007 style security. If you need security, this one's for you. But it isn't easy. Reader is finicky at times, and depending on how you set it up, a certain number of bad scans results in a complete hard reset. Hasn't happened to me, but sometimes I get scared when it won't take my print. (can be turned off, it asks for print after soft reset, and an amount of time you enter in). Other security methods include password, pin number.

The Bluetooth and WLAN can be used on the Ipaq 3955, all you need is the card for them, which ends up being cheaper. It all depends on if you relly need the features or if you want to brag.
The ipaq 5455 does freeze up from time to time, a soft reset is necessary, not a major problem, though. The windows media player allows for mp3 playback (buy a secure digital memory card and you're ready to go!) which is nice to have. Other things that are good are an extra battery, becasue battery life is good, but not the best, especialy on WLAN, and a keyboard for extensive typing. Inputs are okay, but not for alot of typing. Can use keyboard, grafitti (palm)-like block letters, or it can recognize your handwriting.
There isn't much documentation with the unit- just a pamphlet on wlan, bluetooth, and fingerprint reader. But t isn't too difficult to set up. As for weird power errors- it did hard reset itself for no reason after i first got it (so it wasn't turning on, had to re-activate battery). Hasn't hapened since (2 months ago). The ipaq 5455 is the first to have all the features, so there are a few bugs, like some of the other power issues in the other reviews.
Overall, i am pleased with the unit. Don't expect perfection and you will be happy too. 4 stars because of price/function ratio.

Good Value/Powerful Pocket PC
These guys who are palm lovers just have a hard time switching to the Pocket PC! I am a switcher. The transition was tough at first back a couple of years ago. The Palm OS is surely faster and more user friendly but has much less to offer. This IPAQ is a powerful one and the screen quality, handwritting recognition and wifi options are unmatched by any Palm device. I have not found much use yet for the Bluetooth and the security features are good but I don't know that I need them. Still, what a great tool for word processing, spreadsheets, web surfing and more. Lighten up Palm boy!

Big problems for the $$ - otherwise it could be great.
I purchased the iPaq 5455 one year ago, directly from HP when it first hit the market, paying $649 plus $200 for a 3 year top of the line warranty. I have had several problems with the unit. Starting with the display on the unit going out only after a month or two of receiving it. The next problem was with the battery loosing its charge. Most recently, I have been having the recurring problem of the unit locking up not powering on. And like others, I have never been able to sync my info wirelessly.

I have placed several calls to tech support. I have troubleshooted the unit while on the phone with them and even sent the unit in for repair a month ago, in which I did not get a replacement unit, although my extended warranty states that I should. I received the unit back from repair and the documentation stated that no parts were replaced. Knowing that I definitely had a problem with the unit, I called tech support to see what was repaired. I was told a big lie that the battery was changed and the ENC part was replaced. Looking at my unit now, I see that it is the same battery that I had when I sent it in for repair.

Thinking that all was fixed with my unit, I downloaded all of my information. The next day I experienced the same problem with the unit not powering on with the power button. I placed another call to tech support in which the tech and myself troubleshooted the unit. The tech told me to hard boot my unit which erased all of my data. I was told not to install the one 3rd party software that I had installed to monitor the situation. I once again reinstalled my information without the 3rd party software. Again, my unit would not power on. Again, I called tech support and angrily described my situation.

Finally, the tech tells me that I will be sent a REFURBISHED unit. I received the refurbished unit two days ago and encountered the same problem once I loaded all of my data on to it. HP tech support has you to hard reset the unit to erase all data, which appears to make the unit work properly, but once the data is loaded, the problems begin. Today I called tech support and told them I am returning the refurbished replacement unit and keeping my original to see what their customer care department does to satisfy me.

I purchased the unit because I felt it would be an asset to my busy professional life, but it has been nothing but a hassle. I have sent several email complaints to HP customer support and finally to the CEO Carly Fiorina. I got a reply email from her address stating that someone would be in contact with me.

Each call and every email, I have gotten the same script of "we apologize for your inconvenience". The tech support department located in India is very unhelpful and they speak to you as if you were an idiot.
