5-0 out of 5 stars I have these speakers and I LOVE them
A little while ago I was viewing some video clips on NBC and when the first one came on, it just about blew me away.It sounded just like I was in a movie theater.(Maybe because I usually keep the volume on the low side so I don't disturb my neighbors). The sub woofer is awesome in my opinion. To look at these little speakers, one would never ever suspect they could possibly produce such a quality sound.I'm extremely happy with my purchase and would recommend them to anyone.

1-0 out of 5 stars Thud, thud, thud...Ugh!!
After reading 1000's of reviews on Amazon, I've never been compelled to write one myself - until now.Simply put, these speakers are terrible.I've had them for about a week now and they're definitely going back.

Where to begin...Well, as my title suggests, the bass produces more of a thud sound than anything else. They're neither smooth nor in any way accurate, just thud, thud, thud. I tried various sub-woofer placements, EQ tweaks, and sub-woofer volume modulations. They're incapable of any sort of warmth or presence at all.

For the record, I've owned an Altec Lansing 3.0 set up for about 4 years on my home computer - I believe the model# is 45.2.I can't believe how much better those speakers sound than these Logi-craps.In contrast to the smooth, transparent crossover with the A/L's, these LogiTechs are all high AND low, there's such huge lack of mid-range - I'm astonished.

I even tried taking off the little grilles in an attempt to coax a little more improvement - nothing.

Lastly, the on/off light is THAT bad - like a little laser beam to the eye.

Please do yourself a favor and keep on shopping.

5-0 out of 5 stars Outstanding for the price!
I just bought a new computer and was disappointed with the terrible quality speakers they came with. I have never purchased computer speakers before, so I did alot of research because I wanted to get quality speakers without having to spend a ton of money. Well I came across these, and they fit right into my budget. I hooked them up to my new computer and WOW. These are amazing. I honestly was not expecting such an incredible sound to come out of these small things.

The subwoofer is great. I have never owned a subwoofer before and I was a little surprised at how large it is. There is definitely plenty of bass, the nob isn't even at halfway.

The setup was a breeze. It took me about 10 minutes. Anyone can do it! The little blue light isn't as annoying as everyone says it is. If you don't like it, stick a piece of tape over it! Simple. I love the fact that there is a headphone jack in the front speaker.. this makes my life alot easier.

Overall, these speakers were a great, small investment and I'm glad I chose Logitech! ... Read more

4-0 out of 5 stars It does work on XP
Just got hold of a second hand Precision Pro 2, and tried to install the sidewinder software...guess what it doesn't load on XP.
All you need to do is plug the jostick in and it works just fine with no drivers. You can't use the sidewinder software, but you don't need it. My advice just Plug 'n' Play no worries :o)
I mainly use this joystick with Microsoft's Flight Sim and it's fantastic, very smooth.

1-0 out of 5 stars Precision 2 Joystick no driver for xp
Microsoft Sidewinder Precision 2 Joystick
there is no driver for windows xp (not work on cd includet),so waste of money

5-0 out of 5 stars Migrated from Win98 to WinXP
First all I got was "joystick not installed"...I called my computer manufacturer. No dice...check Microsoft.Microsoft says not supported for winxp.Sheez...great joystick, hardly used at all.So I searched the internet and found that if you install the joystick with the USB port connector it should work.I found the old usb connector, that I never used before, in my pile of computer cables, and viola...it installed perectly and with no more trouble at all.
NOW HOW COME MICROSOFT didnt simply SAY THAT ! ! !
That's the BS with sucha great company!! !
Maybe someone at Microsoft will read this??? ... Read more

5-0 out of 5 stars Awesome hardware, so-so software
When this came out, it was top shelf stuff. After it disappeared from Microsoft's radar, however, it got boxed up and put away. Everyone I knew was using something *other* than GameVoice to chat in-game.Now, however, we have FULL support for the GameVoice in Teamspeak 2!I have my buttons configured just right (Teamspeak can use combinations of buttons rather than sticking you with just a few commands). All said and done, an excellent product... so long as you throw away the disc that comes with it.

1-0 out of 5 stars Don't bother
I had high hopes that this would enhance my gaming experience. I'm fond of Battlefield 1942, and I was excited about the possibility of communicating with my friends in the online gaming environment. After setting the thing up and logging on with a friend (who purchased a Game Voice the same time I did), I was very disappointed with the sound quality. I could barely hear my buddy and there was serious distortion. During game play (where there is a lot of ambient noise, i.e., tanks, bombs, etc.) I couldn't hear my buddy at all...

5-0 out of 5 stars Great
I use it a lot! Be careful though! The headset breaks easily! ... Read more

1-0 out of 5 stars Beware of Netgear rebate deals !
I bought three Netgear wireless devices from Amazon.com atseparate times, sent in my rebate forms over 8 weeks ago but did not receive the rebates. I called to inquire about the status and was told that there is no record. To miss all 3 separate mail-ins is just incredible! This comfirms what some other customers had commented about Netgear rebates.

1-0 out of 5 stars Very Irritated with Product
I loved this thing for the first month and a half.It has strong reception throughout our house and it was extremely fast.

However, it has now ceased working. It began running my CPU at 100% and kept having to reconnect to the internet. Now, none of the LED lights turn on when it's inserted into the computer.(btw. I have a Gateway, not Compaq)I get the Code 10 error with whatever I try to do.

Stay away from this product.I do also own the Netgear router and that still works just fine (knock on wood).I think that it's just this defective piece of crap.

5-0 out of 5 stars No problems, came right up
Read many of the other reviews and I've not had a bit of trouble. Ran it on two different DELL laptops, a VAIO (sp?), an HP, and something else I didn't even recognize and it worked fine in all of them. Perhaps a bad batch of cards/production run? Can't say. All I know is that mine installed perfectly in our two laptops in less than 1/2 hour total and works great. I can even connect to two of our neighbors so I have a backup in case I need it!;-) ...FWIW and of course YMMV...but I'm quite satisfied with it and recommend it. ... Read more
