Logitech Z340 2.1 Computer Speakers (3-Speaker, Black) Average Customer Review: Electronics list price: $49.99 US | Canada | United Kingdom | Germany | France Features Reviews (32)
Where to begin...Well, as my title suggests, the bass produces more of a thud sound than anything else. They're neither smooth nor in any way accurate, just thud, thud, thud. I tried various sub-woofer placements, EQ tweaks, and sub-woofer volume modulations. They're incapable of any sort of warmth or presence at all. For the record, I've owned an Altec Lansing 3.0 set up for about 4 years on my home computer - I believe the model# is 45.2.I can't believe how much better those speakers sound than these Logi-craps.In contrast to the smooth, transparent crossover with the A/L's, these LogiTechs are all high AND low, there's such huge lack of mid-range - I'm astonished. I even tried taking off the little grilles in an attempt to coax a little more improvement - nothing. Lastly, the on/off light is THAT bad - like a little laser beam to the eye. Please do yourself a favor and keep on shopping.
The subwoofer is great. I have never owned a subwoofer before and I was a little surprised at how large it is. There is definitely plenty of bass, the nob isn't even at halfway. The setup was a breeze. It took me about 10 minutes. Anyone can do it! The little blue light isn't as annoying as everyone says it is. If you don't like it, stick a piece of tape over it! Simple. I love the fact that there is a headphone jack in the front speaker.. this makes my life alot easier. Overall, these speakers were a great, small investment and I'm glad I chose Logitech! ...
